My toy Maltese, Diamond, has been going to Dogtropolis for almost 6 years and I must say that the service is excellent!! The place is always super clean, fresh smelling, and organized. Diamond weighs about 5 pounds and the first few times I took her here for daycare and boarding I was worried because she was the smallest dog but there has never been an issue. Diamond is always so happy when I pull up in the parking lot. She looks forward to not only seeing the other dogs but the staff as well. The staff LOVE animals and they are ALWAYS happy to see both of us. Everyone is professional and courteous. Connie, the owner, runs a first-class operation and I highly recommend them. My dog has been attending this daycare since October 2021 until a few weeks ago. During this time I have spent at least 2000 dollars according to my bank records. One Saturday in September I was 15 minutes late. I have never been late before but as we all know Green road is a mess. When I arrived I was told that the fee was doubled the usual 35 because I was late. To my knowledge there are no signs posted to inform about the severe penalty for tardiness, so if this was business decision, it is certainly not a very bright one. For the insult and lack of consideration I will never patronize this business again. For 35 dollars you cut yourself off from the annual 1000 that you certainly would have made. Now that I work very near this location, I could bring him more often because I pass here on my way to work, but that won't be happening. I have to wonder if anyone else has been treated like this. read more

I love my dog. She's amazing. I wish I could spend every waking minute making her as happy as she makes me. But, I have to work to keep her in kibble and cookies. That's where Dogtropolis comes in. Once a week, I take my doggo to the fine, loving folks at Dogtropolis and I leave knowing I will come back at the end of the day to a happy and exhausted dog whom had the best day ever living her best life. She's got pupper friends she hangs with, people to give her attention...what more can a dog want? We board her there when we go away on vacation (don't tell her she doesn't always get to join us). Again, she's happy and probably didn't miss us at all. She gets plenty of love, attention, and fun! They carefully screen so you don't have to worry about Cujo showing up and ruining it for everyone and they are diligent in making sure the dogs aren't running around Old Yeller style. DogTropolis, is a great place for Scrappy. There is a huge indoor play area as well as a very large outdoor area. Scrappy is so excited when we turn into the parking lot; he tries to jump over me when I open the car door. Once inside, he takes off for the back and never looks back. I am quite comfortable boarding Scrappy at DogTropolis when I travel. read more

This is a great place to board your dog overnight at, or just to bring them to for the day if you don't have time to take care of them (or they just need to spend some energy). It's pretty affordable (around $22 for 12 hours, or $13 for 6 hours, and another $12 or so if they stay overnight). Compared to some of the other kennels in town, this place is geared towards the dogs, and not their pretentious owners. My dog loves this place, and drags me in through their door as soon as she gets out of the car. By the time she gets home she's exhausted, and sleeps for a day or two. They used to offer training classes, but I don't think they do any more. The one thing that could be improved are their hours, particularly on Sundays. They are 'closed' for daycare on Sunday, and only have limited hours (2 hours in the morning and late afternoon). So, if you're out of town for the weekend, and don't get back until after 6pm on Sunday, you can't get your pet until Monday morning. Also, on weekdays, they close at 7, so you need to pick your dog up by then, or wait until the next morning. It'd be great if they offered a late night pick-up window as well. read more

Big fan of Dogtopia. Coltrane, my beagle/who knows mix, is an even bigger fan. He gets so excited when we get nearby, and he falls asleep as soon as he's in the passenger seat to come home. Everyone there knows his name, and we always get updates on the friends he makes, humps, or pees on. It makes you feel like the people that work there care, and aren't just there to make sure the dogs don't kill each other and/or die of neglect. I've seen an actual look of joy on an employee's face when my floppy eared buddy ambles through the main hallway. It's wonderful to have a place like this so close to home. read more

We have been using Dogtropolis for 8 years when we travel. Our dog Stella is very excited as soon as we get close to the parking lot. She stays for boarding whenever we leave town. I can't say enough positive things about DogT. The staff is wonderful and you can tell that they absolutely love the dogs, they get to know each dog's personality and needs. The indoor/outdoor space allows the dogs to go in an out as the please. The "lobby" area is clean, bright, and inviting. Highly recommend for boarding and daycare. read more

Our Goldendoodle crazily wags his tail and sits by the door to get in the car as soon as we utter the words "doggie day care" in the morning. He is happy and exhausted when he gets home. After ten dogless years we got a lab mix puppy this winter. At 4 months old, Buddy's energy was more than I could handle. Plus, his idea of helping in the garden was to undo everything he saw me doing. I was next to tears and thinking I was a bad dog owner when friends suggested doggy daycare. A Google search brought me to Dogtropolis only 7 minutes away from our home! Connie, the owner, obviously knows how to run a tight ship. There are thoughtfully placed gates and holding areas that insure the dogs are kept safe. Laminated cards keep track of the regulars' needs. And I wish my house smelled as clean as Dogtropolis. Most of all, Buddy is getting the exercise and socialization that he needs. After a day of playing with his four legged friends, he is content to lay on the patio while we enjoy dinner. I am delighted with Dogtropolis and Buddy loves them. A tired dog is a trainable dog. read more

My dog loves DogTropolis! Also, my dad's dog really enjoyed many visits here. There's a large indoor play area and a large outdoor play area. The dogs can go in and outside as they please, and the dog daycare has nap-time between 12:30-2pm. There is also overnight dog boarding with reservations. read more

Disclaimer - this review is based on experiences my dog and I had there more than 1 year ago. Dogtopia was my and my dog's first experience with doggie daycare and boarding. They did a very thorough temperament test, which I appreciated. My dog spent a few days there, and they were very upfront that she was very nervous at first but improved. Then, we started boarding her. The first two times we boarded her, everything seemed fine. They put the dogs into crates overnight for 11 hours and leave them alone, which seemed like a lot to me. I also was worried that my dog wouldn't like being left alone in a crate in a new place, but the staff, including the owner, assured me that everything was fine. The third time I boarded her, the owner checked me out and said that my dog did fine. When I got home, I opened up the plastic bag they gave me and found my dog's nighttime toy covered in poop! Clearly something had gone very wrong, and no one told me about it. I assume that my dog freaked out and pooped in the crate while no one was there. I wish they had told me that my dog was not doing well, but I guess they prioritize having my business over the wellbeing of my dog. read more

FIVE stars for sure, but I'd give more if it were an option!! I am so lucky to have found a home away from home AND such wonderful people to take care of my dog when I can't be home. I work a crazy schedule that changes month to month with several night shifts and Dogtopia has become the one constant for her. She can spend the day playing and getting lots of exercise she is clearly having fun! Dogtopia staff are very knowledgable and are a great source of advice too. She was having separation issues when we first started with playgroup and she is doing so much better when she stays home -- thanks to the great routine of playgroup, the extra exercise, and the great advice I've received. Their facilities are fantastic! In the summer they have huge garage doors that open to an outdoor play area and the dogs also have access to an air conditioned play space. In the winter, they have indoor and outdoor playtime in the snow. The staff know her by name, who her favorite friends are, and all of her idiosyncrasies. They give her extra love when she spends several days in a row. It's been so much fun to get to treat her to such fun days! read more

We have been taking our chocolate lab to Dogtropolis two days a week for over 8 years now. She has a wonderful time playing with the other dogs and getting more exercise than she would sitting at home. You can tell the staff genuinely like the dogs and take wonderful care of them. It seems like a very clean well kept place where the dogs appear to be well taken care of. However, my dog ended up getting attacked unwitnessed per the owner where at some point they discovered a large laceration on his head. He also contracted kennel cough even though he was vaccinated and has been coughing nonstop. We have been extremely stressed out about the state of our poor pup. Please do your research before trusting your dog at a place. read more

My dog stayed overnight for a few days. The owner and employees are very nice when I dropped them off and picked up. I was very disappointed that another dog had clearly been sleeping in my dogs bed. We have dog allergies in our home so my husband and child immediately had reactions to our dogs bed. (Our dog doesn't shed at all and they're use to her so she doesn't cause allergic reactions) I had to wash it a few times to get all of the random dog hair out. read more

I've tried several other doggie daycares, but DogTropolis is by far the best. The owner and staff take incredible care of the dogs. They make sure all dogs are up-to-date on their shots, they play with the them individually, and even with many dogs, the play area is well organized - not chaotic like I've found at so many other places. We began taking our puppy to DogTropolis when she was about four months old, and ever since she has absolutely loved going! She eagerly hops out of the car when we drop her off in the morning, and she has a number of "friends" who she romps around with all day. Connie and the rest of her staff are cheerful, attentive and professional and have always given us great confidence that our puppy was in good hands. The facilities are clean and spacious for the dogs, with play structures and other amenities for them to enjoy. We've boarded our puppy overnight one weekend while we were out of town, and she had a great experience. My puppy Hazel goes to DogTropolis. She started going at about 7 months of age. ( 2 months ago). She is only 6 pounds so I was a little nervous about her going to a doggie daycare since most of the dogs are bigger than her. I met with Connie, the owner. She knows all the dogs by name and obviously knows her stuff! I called other places and did my research. None of the other places compare to this place. It is beautiful inside. The staff are very attentive to the fact that Hazel is smaller than the rest. If there is any concern I have about how Hazel is doing. they are very good about addressing it immediately. I would not trust her with anyone else. It is well worth the price. When she comes home on DogT days she falls right asleep from all the exercise A+++++++ read more

My dog has been at Dogtopia for over three years and loves every minute she is there. The staff is well trained and very caring for all the dogs there, no matter how big or how small. I was impressed with the initial interview process and the trial days for new dogs. I also know that not every dog that comes there is approved for day care. It is very ideal to have a veterinarian right next door. My dog is always ready to "go see her friends" at Dogtopia and comes home after a good day and gets lots of rest. My Nala has been a client for the past year and we are very pleased. She drags me in the door and doesn't want to leave. I like that the all the dogs play together. The staff has been consistent and friendly and are able to share with me how she was that day. I, too don't like that they are in kennels for long periods but I don't know of anywhere else that has less time (unless you have an in home sitter) in kennels. read more

I just read some of your reviews about Dog Tropolis and I feel a need to let you know the truth about what is really happening there. Every morning she allows the the dogs to bark and howl starting at 7:15 in the morning and continue thru out the entire day. As residents having to here this , it is very unnerving and very harmful to human health. We have ask Connie to put up a sound proof tarp outside and inside the building so that we the residents of South Euclid in the vicinity of the sound would get relief from constant barking through out our homes. To our amazement she has done nothing to help us . I am very concerned about this situation because I have a 93 year g-mother that lives with me and this is having an effect on her health. Recently her doctor had to put her on oxygen therapy at night and, a sleeping pill so that she can get some rest . When he asked her how she was resting , she informed him that she was unable to rest thru out the day because of the constant barking of the dogs. Please don,t get me wrong , we love dogs, we grew with dogs, so please understand that we are not upset with the dogs. We are however upset with Connnie , the owner of Dog Tropolis for not caring about the effect that she is having on our lives by not putting up the the sound proof tarping inside and out to stop this problem. Please help us, the residents of South Euclid who are in the area being effected by this constant nonstop barking all day, every day. I own a German Shepard who seemed to getting along fine - we always picked him up to positive reports. I was told by staff members I met out in public who formerly worked there that they liked our dog. Connie the owner for some reason did not and each time we called in the past year they were "full" or they would wait up until the day we wanted to come in and say vaccinations were not up to date not giving us enough time to get to the vet before we needed the service. We attempted to board again and were told by the owner that she "did not feel comfortable" taking our dog because of preventative medication he was on. She never looked at the vet records analyzed the situation and would not take the recommendation from 2 vets that our dog was healthy enough to be there. When we tried to ask if she has a problem or behavioral issues with our dog, Connie was offended and how dare us for thinking that way. She pivoted and made this all about how we offended her - saying she had no issues with our dog. Ultimately she and her vet decided who never saw any records or gave us any reason decided that they were not comfortable with our dog. Several attempts for us to contact Connie and discuss the situation were ignored. She obviously had some issues with our dog that she didn't want to talk with us about, leaving us puzzled. The unreliable and unprofessional nature of the situation really angered us. Dogtopia seems to not feel comfortable with big breed dogs. They really screwed us over by stringing us along and never being available when we needed them. read more
