A Google search brought me to Dogtropolis only 7 minutes away from our home! Connie, the owner, obviously knows how to run a tight ship. There are thoughtfully placed gates and holding areas that insure the dogs are kept safe. Laminated cards keep track of the regulars' needs. And I wish my house smelled as clean as Dogtropolis. Most of all, Buddy is getting the exercise and socialization that he needs. After a day of playing with his four legged friends, he is content to lay on the patio while we enjoy dinner. When I first took Romeo to PawsCLE, they were super open and helpful and let me see the layout so I could determine that it would be safe for Romeo to stay there due to his limited sight. I was anxious about leaving him somewhere new, but everyone was so helpful and thoughtful. Fast forward four years, and Romeo can't wait to go to daycare. He learned to climb steps because of PawsCLE, gets excited when he realizes we are driving to daycare, and literally runs toward the staff when I drop him off. They go above and beyond to accommodate his blindness, from tapping on the floor and surroundings to help Romeo orient himself, to giving him a lift up when he doesn't feel quite sure of himself. When Romeo had to have his second eye removed, his schedule got thrown off and going to daycare was the only thing to keep him on schedule and sleeping through the night. We are forever grateful to PawsCLE for helping us keep our sanity and keeping Romeo happy. I feel so safe dropping Romeo at daycare. I know the staff genuinely care about him and that he is super excited to be there.

When I had contacted BOW WOW asking for prices, I mistakenly understood the service of the $25 daycare meaning overnight! I discovered it was actually $42-ish for overnight ($37 if you buy a 10 day package). It was simply over our budget as we were looking for a place to care for Winston for over 2 weeks. So, going on a misunderstanding, we scheduled for a 3 hour "interview" with Bow Wow. This is how they see if your dog is compatible with their other day stayers. It makes sense really. So it was totally free and they asked that Winston remain for 3 hours. When I came back to pick him up, they had given me a tour and handed me a folder with Winston's picture on it. LOL. This place is amazingly controlled and they literally put in controls that prevent mishandling of certain diets. This is very important, especially after what Winton went through. I am giving this place a 4/5 star because if we every would need to utilize their services, I can not imagine this place going below a 4/5 star. It simply is in a caliber of kennels all to itself. Rehabilitating our pups after their last trainer shut them down, hurt them, and made them severely fearful. Our last training experience was nothing short of traumatic. And I was SO scared to start again. After thousand of dollar down the drain and a year of training, i felt as though my dogs were was less confident and completely fearful. After only a couple sessions with Claire, it is night and DAY. My dogs are HAPPY to train! They are in rooms with strange dogs and already making HUGE strides in scent work! I could genuinely cry seeing my pups and how happy they are after seeing their last trainer spin them around by their necks!!! Now they get treats and pets and toys and clear communication! And they are so EXCITED! We just purchase a full package of sessions with Clare and I can't wait to move forward and watch my dogs AND me gain our confidence back.
