i had my dog groomed yesterday at petsmart in woodbridge and i have gone there before even when she had bad matting(that's just her breed) and the groomer has always done a beautiful job which would bring me back for more services but when i picked up my dog and i saw what the young lady had done to my girl i was stunned in disbelief and instead of causing a scene in store this is how i'm being heard..there is absolutely no excuse for this lack of training, common sense, caring!!! i will never take my dog to the woodbridge store again and possibly not even petsmart. with the winter months coming this grooming was simply a display stupidity. the groomer could have left at least an inch of fur and the matting would be gone! i prefer 0 stars read more

Nicole is a great groomer, and my dog gets excited to see her. She always books out a block of time for my dog because she knows she takes longer. Brought my Chocolate Lab to for grooming. He was looked over be for his bath. Everything seemed to go well until 3 days later when he broke out with a skin infection. He was examined by the vet she stated that the infection was likely caught at the groomer. 42 days of antibiotics along with skin cream and pain medications for him. We have reached out to them to have a conversation with no return calls. Will not be returning to PetSmart grooming anytime soon. read more

I've been bringing my standard poodle to the Petsmart in Shenandoah, TX for about a year and Halie has done a beautiful job. Over the last month when I try to book Halie she's not on the schedule & my pup needed a bath & sanitary trim, along with a face trim badly. I had to bring him somewhere so made an appointment at the new Petmart in East Spring, TX because they are new & near my home and had appointments available. First off the groomer, (didn't get her name) when she took my dog, didn't "greet" him so that he could figure out who she was & that she was a good guy; she just grabbed him & put the lead on and checked for matting. My pup was nervous because there was no sign that this person cared for dogs at all (she didn't talk to him or stroke him, etc), All my dog needed was a bath & a face trim, I specifically said he does NOT need a hair cut. When I arrived to pick him up, she had done a shoddy job on his face and cut the hair on his head -- he's a standard poodle! Why would anyone cut the hair on his head shorter than the hair on the rest of his body?? And then charge $75 for a freaking BATH! I was charged $75 for a goldendoodle bath & trim - this is due to matting but my dog WAS NOT matted. As others have said in reviews, this Petsmart grooming salon is not about your pets, it's about charging as much as they can. NEVER AGAIN. read more

Beware of Petsmart Grooming!! I dropped both of my Maltese 's off at Petsmart Grooming and was told roughly 3 1/2 hours till there ready. I called and asked if they where ready and I was told that it was a very very busy day and that it will be another 45min or so. I said busy? what does that mean, we had an appointment!! I was informed that they book 4-5 dogs at 1 time and juggle through them. I said Juggle? He said yes, we will work on one, then switch to another, then come back to one and so fourth. I told him I had NO IDEA that is how it work, I didn't realize that my babies are sometimes just sitting in kennels for upto an 1hr. I was floored, had no idea, not good at all. maybe I should have known that, but I didnt. The guy also told me if i pay an extra $15.00, they take care of them from beginning to end with NO juggling. He also ended up telling me that 1 of your dogs are ready. I asked for how long, about 30 min. Again I was floored, furious that my baby was going to be sitting in a CAGE for about an 1hr and 1/2 before being notified . Soooooo very upset right now. I can't imagine other customers realize this happens. I will never ever take them to petsmart again, this experience is also going to make me cancel the healthwareness I have with petsmart as well. I booked a grooming appointment online that quoted me a price of $55.00. Nothing was mentioned about this grooming appointment costing more when I dropped my dog off. When I went to pick her up, they charged me an extra $10.00. When I asked them why, they said that they had to spend an extra 15 minutes brushing her. Come here often... and it's always clean! Usually a couple of pups roaming the aisles with their humans...mouths watering at the treats/toys. Always nice staff. They always ask to put in your rewards account so you can get exclusive discounts - and last time the cashier advised me to grab another ball because it was free. They have some good deals on toys - sometimes. Some are super expensive, but from time to time they have some good discounts. A very nice selection of shampoos & oils - which is Zoe Merlot's least favorite aisle lol They also have dog training and a grooming department. Haven't used either of the two, but they always seem busy. Lastly - they have a ton of OTHER pet stuff. From fish to reptiles - cats to guinea pigs. It's your usual, fully stocked Petsmart. This place is terrible for grooming. My dog basically got butchered there. She is a golden doodle, 5 1/2 months old at the time. My appointment was at 8am. They told me it would be 3-4 hours. At 12:45 I called to check on her and they said she would be ready in 20 minutes - apparently the groomer was finishing up her face. It is a small pick up area so not much space to fully inspect. When we got home, her legs were not even trimmed, in between her paws/toes was not trimmed, her body was terribly uneven and her sanitary area was not touched. It's like they ran a buzzer over her body, didn't make sure it was even and that was that. I had to take her somewhere else to get it fixed. I will NEVER go there again for grooming. Clearly they didn't kow what they were doing. I'm also not confident what was given any food or let out to go to the bathroom while she was there. read more

I've been going to this location for almost two decades. They have a huge selection of everything you could need for your pets from dogs to cats to fish and more! The store is almost always neat and clean and the staff is almost always friendly, have had a couple of people who seemed to be in a bad mood. I've attended training classes here for my pup more than once and going back again. They have the best options for training. Once you pay for the intermediate class once, you can take it as often and as many times as you like. Other places make you pay for each time. The trainers are super knowledgeable and very obviously love dogs. They also offer some great deals if you're part of the PetPerks program (free). I've gotten free treats and more from that! The grooming isn't my favorite part of the store. I will say that. I took my dog in for a free bath from a coupon I got in their puppy book and they had her for HOURS. They said it wouldnt be more than two hours and they didn't call me for almost five hours. Why would it take so long? She also was TERRIFIED of the groomer when she came out to me. SMH. We've signed up for not one but two additional courses with her ! And although we only took one class with Dara (a "makeup" for a week we missed with Heather) -- she seems to be quite the dog whisperer too... our shepherd/pitbull pup learned loose leash walking in just that 1 hr course ! GROOMERS: I end up giving them another shot every year. Even tho they disappoint me each time. Last time I let them stick it to me with the price and got the fancy shampoo treatment that was supposed to smell good for days. That garbage didn't last the ride home! They end up proving they have not changed each time. I brought my dog in and she had knots on top of her tail. about 3inx3in. I said either brush or cut them out. that is ok. shave belly area and tush. They tried to tell me this would be considered a 'dematting' procedure that will cost more. $20.They then tried to tell me she is 'covered in fleas and biting herself'. I check her all the time and i found none! They tried to make me pay for a $30 flea shampoo wash and ONE (yes, one) application of flea medicine. SERIOUSLY! So a $45 dog groom was becoming $87!! Not to mention the groomer/salesgirl was very rude and condescending! I actually took my dog and left. THIS TIME I WILL NOT BE BACK. SHAME ON YOU GUYS! Glooming : This was the first & LAST time I will go to Petsmart in Wesley Chapel. This has been the worst experience EVER. I came to Petsmart extremely excited to get my Baby first haircut since he finally got all his shots. But instead I felt extremely pressured by the Petsmart Employee to get a Haircut I did not want. I repeatedly told her that I did not want his body to be short regardless if it was in tangle. My main concern was his legs and his face because it was covering his eyes. But She kept insisting that he had to be shaved. When I spoke to Petsmart in Citrus they advised me just to do a trim since it was his first time!!! At the Petsmart Wesley Chapel she acted as if just getting a trim wasn't a option!! Being this was his first time getting a haircut or even being on a leash he should have Never gotten a full blown haircut for 3 Hours!!!!! He was very scared that it took three employees to hold him down. To make a situation worst his haircut came out ridiculous. He has absolutely no hair and it's not even. He has patches. I'm beyond devastated & extremely disappointed. I understand that hair grows back that's what the manager kept saying. However this is going to be a long road ahead. Worst traumatizing situation for baby and I. After paying $50 for a horrible haircut. I will not recommend this location or least not going with an employee who can carless about your feelings and just try to do whatever was going to be less work. We have taken our dog for grooming here before, and they have our vaccination records on file. Nail grinding is the service we've used here and service was GREAT in the past with a groomer who left the company. They traumatized my dog while grinding its nais. The dog appeared to being hurt multiple times and the groomer tried to assure me that they didn't hurt the dog but the grinder caused the nails to get hot." If there is uncomfortable heat, the groomer should slow down - or alternate between nails so that they can stay relatively cool - like the other groomer did. The first time...I get a bath, nails trimmed and grinded, and cut. $47 for the bath and $15 extra for nail grinding. I go pay for thr services before I can pick up my dog. $64. I paid with no questions. I go to pick him up, they could only do 2 nails because he didn't like it. No adjustment of cost. I didn't say much. 2/20/21 for a cut and bath. $52. I get a call saying they had to use a flea a d tick shampoo on him since he had a few live fleas. Never said they were charging me $8 extra...for using the exact same amount of shampoo. We bought a pair of guinea pigs in one of their stores. One of them died within the warrantee period. So we buried the little thing then called the store a few days later. They said they couldn't give us money back because we didn't bring back the dead animal. There is nothing we can do at this point. I took my Bordoodle (Border Collie/Standard Poodle) for a haircut, nail trim and bath two weeks ago. We went to the Washington Square store. I've been to another location in Eugene and had a great experience. This time, no so much. I first want to say how friendly and welcoming they were. Her breed has fluffy, curly hair, but straight hair on her tail. I was absolutely speechless when I picked her up. She was shaved the very shortest they were able to do. I asked for something leaning to the shorter side, but definitely did not ask for her to be shaved. I was told that she was so matted, it was difficult to brush her. I had observed some matting on her tail but nothing more significant. The groomer checked her condition as is their policy. She checked her coat was "good" and did not check the "matted" box. I wonder if she was actually bathed because she didn't have a shampoo smell and after only 2 weeks, she needs another bath. Her cut is uneven. Her ears are noticeably different length and uncombed. She was shaved down to the skin between her toes. It is by far the worst haircut I have ever seen. The best way to describe the style is a botched poodle cut. Hair long on ears, everything is as short as it can be except the tail which, other than a small matted section, was not cut at all. I will not return to this location, nor recommend them to anyone. It is disappointing because I had a much better experience at the Eugene store. If Petsmart wants to keep my business, they need to refund the cost of the cut -- $112.00. read more
