I'm a new pet owner and don't know much about the grooming process. The owner explained everything very well and was so sweet and loving to my puppy. The prices are good and my pup looked so good. A little too much perfume but not worth complaining about. The facility was easy to find and parking was great. I highly recommend this pet spa. read more

Very pleased with Liz at Ginger's Getaway Pet Spa. Despite the name, Hairless Chinese Cresteds are not completely hairless and its difficult to find groomers to trim them given that they aren't exactly common. Liz was very nice, honest and passionate about doing a good job; something that you don't find often enough these days! We found our new groomer!! read more

I have two chow chows and for years took them to another groomer in Weston who did great work. Recently, it was sold and the new owner has had problems recruiting experienced groomers. Last month I took one of the chows in to and at pickup he looked great but when I felt his belly he was matted from stem to stern and he had to go back up on the table to have the matting fixed. This was definitelya sign that I needed to find a new groomer. I heard there was a groomer established on Indian Trace near SR84 and heard from neighbors with small dogs that they were very happy with Ginger's Getaway Pet Spa so two months ago the chows and I walked over to see if large dogs were welcome. The owner met us warmly and said large dogs were welcome, in addition she ran her hands under each dog's belly which further reassured me of her knowledge and experience. The spa was neat and spotlessly clean. A couple weeks later I booked an appointment for the younger female chow-Yashi. Yashi can get nervous in spas but made it though the experience-and she looked great-and she still looked like a chow-which sounds easy but groomers who are inexperienced with chows have a general tendency to end up with the dog looking vaguely like another breed. So yesterday I took the DJ-the male chow in. Nothing bothers him but he is more difficult to groom because when his double coat gets too thick he has a tendency to self groom, pullout extra fluff, nibble on his paws, etc. But when I picked him up, he looked all chow and super handsome-another great job! I will definitely take my pups to Ginger's Getaway PetSpa again. read more

Worst experience ever!!! I wish I could give negative stars! I purchased a Groupon for a grooming for my dog. I drove 45min from Miami Beach to get there...the groomer/owner made me wait at least 15min to even assist me because she was grooming another dog. Finally she helped me, not very friendly. I found things to do in the area as to not drive all the way home. An hour and 1/2 later she calls me tells me she can't groom my dog. He's too fidgety. I went and picked him up and he wasn't bathed or anything. So he basically sat in a cage for an hour and 1/2 for no reason! The groomer/owner then told me to that there are vets that can sedate him. Is she crazy?!? No groomer has ever not been able to do him. She is obviously inexperienced and I don't think she wanted to accept the discounted price of Groupon! Avoid this place at all costs!! Very unprofessional! read more

Great experience. I bought the Groupon. I read the other review on yelp and was a bit concerned. I was very happy with the service. The girls were super nice and friendly. The place was clean. They told me 4 hours and it was 4 hours. My Cockapoo looks great. The cut was very even. I will definitely go back. read more
