We bought a pair of guinea pigs in one of their stores. One of them died within the warrantee period. So we buried the little thing then called the store a few days later. They said they couldn't give us money back because we didn't bring back the dead animal. There is nothing we can do at this point. But I just want to warn people -- if possible go shop at somewhere else. Petco has a longer, 30-day guarantee. And their pets are healthier too. Do NOT shop at Petsmart read more

I took my Bordoodle (Border Collie/Standard Poodle) for a haircut, nail trim and bath two weeks ago. We went to the Washington Square store. I've been to another location in Eugene and had a great experience. This time, no so much. I first want to say how friendly and welcoming they were. Her breed has fluffy, curly hair, but straight hair on her tail. I was absolutely speechless when I picked her up. She was shaved the very shortest they were able to do. I asked for something leaning to the shorter side, but definitely did not ask for her to be shaved. I was told that she was so matted, it was difficult to brush her. I had observed some matting on her tail but nothing more significant. The groomer checked her condition as is their policy. She checked her coat was "good" and did not check the "matted" box. I wonder if she was actually bathed because she didn't have a shampoo smell and after only 2 weeks, she needs another bath. Her cut is uneven. Her ears are noticeably different length and uncombed. She was shaved down to the skin between her toes. It is by far the worst haircut I have ever seen. The best way to describe the style is a botched poodle cut. Hair long on ears, everything is as short as it can be except the tail which, other than a small matted section, was not cut at all. I will not return to this location, nor recommend them to anyone. It is disappointing because I had a much better experience at the Eugene store. If Petsmart wants to keep my business, they need to refund the cost of the cut -- $112.00. read more

They gave my dog a bacterial infection in the eye. I had to take my dog to the emergency vet shortly after picking him up from his appointment. Emergency vet + medication for my pups eye... wasn't cheap! read more

My dog had an appointment yesterday @9:30 and they told me that groomer should be stepping in a minute or 2 and the groomer Sara C showed up 9:48 while sitting outside waiting for her. She never apologized for being late acting like I was the one late and everything is ok that is not so professional. Things can happen I understand but in a business dealing with customers when you are wrong, you are wrong. read more

We had an appointment at 1230 at the San Luis Obispo pet smart. By 4:00pm they had not even started grooming her. She was in a cage with wet hair and the the groomer still had to finish up a very large dog. Needless to say we left. They still charged us 30.00. read more

I brought my dog in to get groomed and since I just moved here I booked with a different location and did not realize. The groomer was able to get my dog in anyway and was incredibly helpful and nice. Annette did a great job on my Pomeranian, probably better than he has ever been cut. I will be using this grooming location in the future for sure! Very helpful and kind staff. read more

This PetSmart is clean and well kept. It's decently sized and all the employees I encountered here were friendly. I came here for a kitty harness and leash and was able to find the perfect one for my cat right away. They have a good selection of cat treats such as the freeze dried shrimp/chicken. I mostly only come to PetSmart for the blue buffalo cat food or canned wellness cat food. They have a variety of cat toys here but they seem a bit overpriced. Overall, this is a well kept PetSmart with a good variety of products and nice employees. They have many gerbils and hamsters along with a whole aquarium section. read more

We made an appointment 7 weeks ago, on Petsmart's website, for our dog to be groomed at the American Fork store. The night before his appointment, they called us and left a message that they had booked him with a groomer that cannot take dogs over 25 lbs; my dog weighs 30 lbs. When I called them back the next morning they said that they could not get him in to be groomed for another 3 weeks. This was not my mistake, but apparently they can't fix their own problems. I did not appreciate the fact that they couldn't call me when the problem occurred 7 weeks ago, but I got an email and a text with in 45 seconds of my phone call for the cancellation of his appointment. Definitely won't be going back there!! read more

Less than 2 years as a doggie mama, so I don't have a lot of experience -but I am a conscientious shopper - and adoring doggie mama, so I do pay attention. This store offers the super store variety with the smaller. neighborhood store service. When it comes to pet stuff searching- I am usually wandering around the aisles looking clueless and here, someone kind and courteous and helpful usually finds me and points me in the right direction. Become a member for decent savings and discount offers. The grooming area looked very clean - totally open and friendly - worth a look (finding a trusted groomer is hard!) I've gone to the other pet super stores and the smaller Pet Supplies Plus near me- I like this PetSmart the best for the selection, value and very friendly service. Milo (the adorable cockapoo) agrees! read more

This is actually two reviews in one. The first time we took our dog to Petsmart on Abercorn we were thrilled. He's a little Sheltie with a silky long double coat and when we picked him up he was so soft and clean and tangle free. However...this past Monday I paid for the same services, tipped the groomer (a different one than the first time), took him home and he still smelled doggy and still had mats and his nails were trimmed but not the hair on his feet or around his pads and his hygienic trim was not done. Am I wrong to expect a clean smelling, tangle free coat and the trims that are included in the package for $50 + a tip? read more

I've been shopping here for years. Both of my dogs have been coming here for years as well. Fish department: have to give it to them because they've recently redone all of the tanks and they look a lot better. The fish sales are pretty good compared to Petsmart. But I guess that also depends on what your looking for. They don't have a big exotic selection. Overall store: very clean. Everything is really easy to find. Sales are hit or miss. There is always something on sale; just depends if it's what your looking for. Staff: the staff is hit or miss. I feel this is really normal for a pet store though. The older staff is more helpful and friendlier compared to the younger staff. Overall, no complaints. Grooming: ok so if your like me, your pets are your children. Just like when your drop your baby off at day care ... We get emotional and concerned when we drop our babies off for grooming. Overall most of the staff is awesome in the grooming dept. I've sat in there and waited, watching them groom difficult and stubborn pets and man they have patience! My favorite is Kristen! She is the only one I let handle my babies! She is so kind to them and takes her time. Although I'm sure by the time she sees them she is really ready to get through the rest of her day and they are just another dog, but she never make me or them feel like that. I love her for that! Their prices are good too! read more

I have taken my bernedoodle to several different Pet Smart Groomer locations with the attempt to get better grooming to no avail. They charge me $70.00 for a wash and blow dry, nail trim and what is supposed to be a ear clean and pluck. Consistently Ive had to return my dog to the salon for them to clean her ears. They just dont do it at all or properly. It is such a simple task. I am now fed up and just tired of asking for the same thing over and over. I could easily take a washcloth and wipe out her ears from the dirt and debrie. They need better dog grooming training for their staff. read more

Terrible experience! Dogs treated like objects on an assembly line and roughly handled. Dogs howling from kennels in the "staff only" area. I paid $81.00 and when I picked up my dog, she needed add'l grooming, which I demanded they do on the spot. When I returned home, she needed add'l clipping. A very sloppy job! She was also ravenously thirsty and obviously did not have access to fresh water during her "visit". I will never, under any circumstances, use PetSmart again. read more

Will not ever take my dog to get groomed at Petsmart again. Totally unprofessional from the start. Refused to groom my dog because I didn't have shot records but did have proof of vacation on colar which they wouldn't take. Had paperwork but didn't have with me. So said heck with it I'll take my dog somewhere else add I did and I might add they did a better job and cost a lot less read more

Abby is the best trainer there! She is so sweet and so polite!!! If I could give her 10 stars I would!!!

Great customer service in the dog salon. Same day appointment.thank you for taking my dog in and return him in a matter of 2 hours. Haircut , nails , ears. He looks amazing! On the other hand, we have the retail side. Coupons for dog food from other source not accepted. They rarely send coupons for dog food. Some staff suck at the way they deliver that information to the customer; rude. read more

Today I paid for a special package to have my little rat terrier bathed and brushed for hair removal. When I picked her up she was still damp from the shampoo, and I noticed there was some loose hair around her face. When I ran my hand over her a lot of hair flew. I took a grooming brush when I got home the floor was quickly covered in hair. I don't believe she was brushed. I have had other groomers do the same process, there is a little loose hair when they finish but only a little. I won't be going back. read more

PetSmart Grooming- dulles landing VA. I was so excited to have this PetSmart close by with a grooming saloon, but not worth it at all. Do not go to this location to get your dog groomed!! I've taken my dog to couple of different places for grooming but never had this kind of experience. First of all it was hard to get an appointment when I needed, after long wait finally I got an appointment due to one cancellation. I got so excited and took my doodle for her appointment next day. When I walked in the groomerJennifer.w checked my puppy and said there are no other problems but she will have to charge extra for the special shampoo since the puppy has some matting and also for the nails and plucking hair from her ears, on top of full package price and will let us know if there would be any extra charges when we pick the puppy up . She charged us double the price, since my pup really needed the bath and haircut so I didn't argue and agreed to pay hoping to see my puppy will come out looking clean and beautiful with everything taken care of. I gave her special instructions and told her to keep my puppy's hair longer at least an inch or more. When I went to pick up my puppy, I was very disappointed, sad, mad and frustrated to see my puppy completely shaved, hair on her ears where completely shortened she looked horrible and different like a sick puppy, groomer Jennifer didn't even shave her evenly, her coat looked so terrible and bumpy, neck area, behind the ears was completely shaved like no hair, two back legs looked slimmer then the front legs due to uneven shave. I wish I would have never taken her here. After paying double the price I had terrible experience. I will never take my puppy back to this place again, never ever with the groomer Jennifer.W. read more

Don't buy dog food here it is super overpriced. I recently ran out of my dogs prescription diet food. Usually order from Chewy or get from my vet were I pay about $31. Same food at PetSmart was $39.95 That is a huge mark up. I don't mind paying a little extra for convenience but this is just a rip off. read more

I wanted to pay cash. The total was 127.88. I gave her $140 but she insisted I must give her the exact amount. So, I did so, reluctantly, as I needed the dollars for a later purchase. Then, she seemed to have difficulty counting out the coins. If Petsmart is going "credit card only" then they need to let customers know before checkout. In that case, I would shop Chewey on line. Their prices are less. read more

Petsmart took full amt of my online order, but only 1/2 of order is assigned track number and email notice, no mention or record of other 1/2 of order, no tracking for it etc. yet cust.svc emailing that it was already shipped and rec'd by me....LIES...and i can't even get online to look at my order info, their site has crashed and error message is all you get for a wk now. Can't even get a person on the phone to talk to! All I get are email replies that either have nothing to do with the issue (canned replies) or lies that 'it was shipped' yet no proof even that they sent the other 1/2 of order....plus no stock issue, because in all the stores, yet they aren't refunding the missing 1/2 of my order! I now have to file claims everywhere, and will NEVER use them again....If you don't want to lose your money and get ZERO PRODUCT in return, shop elsewhere! read more

My black lab got her nails grinded on Christmas Eve- I wish I remembered the name of the groomer, but she had long black hair. She did SUCH AN INCREDIBLE JOB!!!!! My dog is usually impossible to hold still and her nails are so long. She got them so short and dull but didn't cut into her quicks, which with black nails is nearly impossible to do. I am BLOWN AWAY!!! They've literally never been this short and perfect EVER in the 5 years I've had her. I will never take her anywhere else. THANK YOU!! read more

Today I had a terrible experience at PetSmart. I have been using PetSmart for years to groom my dogs, buy my dogs food and toys and Banfield as their Vet. On my way into the groomers this morning with my Yorkie and Maltese my son got the two dogs tangled in the leash I reached in from behind to help and my little Yorkie got spooked and nipped me. He does not bite ever. He does not have a history prof biting. This was an isolated incident and my fault really because I startled him. Anyway we walk in to Petsmart and I had a little tiny scrape and asked the lady for a napkin. She then said your dog bit you! I said he didn't mean it. It was an accident I startled him as he was getting in the car. She went on to ignore what I just said and went on to say if my dog is a biter he can not get groomed. This woman Ana at the Plantation store went to the other girls and said her dog bites. So at this time I raised my voice and said I told you my dog DOES NOT BITE HE US 6 lbs enough!! An proceeded to check me in. As I handed her my dog she said to my dog oh this is the one that bites you better not bite me !! It was truly infuriating!! My 12 year old and I walked out and my son said WOW mom she is going to make an issue don't you think??? That was my son's perception. Not even 5 minutes later as we got on the road Ana called and said I had to come pick up my dog because it bit her!!! This was completely fabricated. The manager got on the phone and they refused to take care of my dog and I assure you that my dog did not bite this woman. I will no longer be taking my business to this place again. Ana has absolutely no business being around pets. She should not be working as a dog groomer or in any customer facing service. read more

PetSmart - Here is the mean viscous dog this woman Ana at the Plantation Petsmart refused to bath! - Pet Groomers Near Me - Plantation, Florida

Bessemer, AL Persmart you SUCK! I have booked 3 different dates for grooming and you have groomers who "call in or don't show up" for work and NOT notify your customers. I have a 3 month old and it's not easy to load up a baby and a dog to walk in and find this out. I will take my business elsewhere and let my friends and family know to NEVER use you again! read more

I placed an online order on March 21, for a same day delivery for three bags of dog food. There was no issues, I picked my preferred time, and payment went through. I receive an email later on stating that they wouldn't deliver until March 22, between 7 and 10pm. I wasn't happy , as my dogs didn't have food. But at the time also understood delivery services can be busy . I wait around all night for this food and nothing shows up. First thing in the morning, on the 23rd I call PetSmart, and explain the situation. The manager on duty did not try to rectify the situation in the slightest. She blamed door dash and there was nothing she could do other then call them and they would "try" to deliver it today. I already fed my dog chicken and rice of my own food the previous day, and there is no way I was going to wait around all day for a possibility. I work in customer service, in the retail industry, and i am in absolute shock at the lack of care a company can have for their customers. This is YOUR product and you choose to have a delivery company handle it. In no way is the issue on them at this moment, and the manager did nothing but deflect. I have absolutely no interest in ever stepping foot in that store again and I will make it loud and clear to friends and family as well. read more

Wow maybe i shoulda read all the bad reviews first. Horrible experience at the grooming. My dog was turned away because she had some matting. Im sorry thats why im paying a groomer. She is 11 years old and has been to petco and paws for purrs in worse conditions to be honest. Ive always brought her in and was told "i may have to double brush her" or " i may have to trim some hair" never turned away. I only went here bc of a coupon. Complete waist of time not even worth the coupon . I shoulda learned when they sold me a sick reptile. I have lost all respect for petsmart. read more

The worst experience ever...Got an appointment for Friday 19th, 2021 at 11:30 am with Alivia at the only Petmart in Yuma, Arizona ...At 11:00 am a lady told me to wait outside till Alivia shows up...At 11:30 am another lady t me after finding out that Alivia was not coming (she was not supposed to be working that day) that because my dog's medical history of seizure ( one seizure 11 years ago when she was a puppy) she needed to be rescheduled in order to meet her special needs???....they never EVER asked me during my call to set up the appointment about my dog's medical history or talked to me about special needs...my dog DOES NOT and NEVER HAS any special needs or accommodations requirements in the past neither in the veterinary office or any other grooming salon....I will never ever comeback to that store for any of my pet's needs read more

Had a terrible experience at the PetSmart Groomers in Greeley CO. Our dog must have been treated terribly while there. He has always been groomed by them and had good experiences until our last experience. His behavior was strange when I picked him up- the groomer was extremely rude when I picked him. About a month later I had to take him in for a vet appointment at the same location- he has always been fine going- this morning he panicked when they tried to take him to the back. I will not be taking him back to the Greeley location and may have to find a new vet as well because of the experience that obviously traumatized him. read more

The store overall is fine as well as Banfield. But today I have my dog in the grooming center getting a nail trim and I'm pushing a small basket. One of the employees a tall guy with a goatee working on the Saturday morning saw me putting it away in the wrong place. I realized it was in the wrong place still had my hand on it was pulling it back and he jerked it away for me and said this doesn't go here and walked off shaking his head. I tried to take my elderly dog in (12 year old dachsund) and was turned down becuase I did not have a paper that had her proof of rabies vaccine. The groomer took one look at my dogs old apperance and tumor and gave me a very mean look. My dog had her nails trimmed a month before this with no problem.
