Royal Paws Pet Spa - After a visit to Royal Paws, naps hit different Nothing beats a fresh groom and some good vibes #RoyalPawsPetSpa - Pet Groomers Near Me - Plantation, Florida

I've been taking my Ragdoll cat to Sonia at Royal Paws Pet Spa for the last 4 years. She runs this business with her husband and always treats my cat like her own. Her prices are reasonable and she's the only pet spa that I've found willing to bathe and groom a cat without sedating them or at all. Most local places won't touch cats and since I have a long hair cat, regular grooming is necessary. Sonia is like family and treats me and my cat, Quinn, as such. I'd recommend anyone looking for somewhere to get their fur baby groomed to visit Sonia at Royal Paws. I currently drive all the way from Coconut Creek because I only trust her. read more

This was our first time taking our puppy Milo to a groomer, and it turned out to be an amazing, positive experience. Initially, I was nervous and braced for the worst since Milo is very anxious. To my surprise, it was a pleasant and straightforward experience. We were warmly greeted upon arrival, and Sonia took Milo for a full grooming. In no time, he was done. Sonia, the owner, was kind and introduced herself, clearly showing she cares about the pets. I highly recommend Royal Paws Pet Spa and Boutique! read more

Family owned business that cares for your pet. At the last minute I decided to give them a try since my original groomer was booked. I can definitely say I was not disappointed. The young lady at the front asked me questions about my dog to make sure we were getting the best experience. The groomer also came out to check on my dog. I had recently been looking for a better groomer that was close to where I live and I decided to look online for different options. I had my top 3 places to call and unfortunately 2 of them didn't seem to pick up their phones, which brought me to my last option! And what a great impression and feeling that I received from the amazing Sonia! I was very picky about what I needed to be done for my 13yr old shih tzu and I also needed quite a few things done. Sonia clearly explained to me what she offers and I was convinced by the next morning to bring her on a Saturday morning. I had previously looked at some photos from yelp and I wanted to check it out so bad once I saw a bunch of clothes and small accessories that were displayed inside the pet spa! I love buying outfits for my dog and it was really one of the main reasons that I was convinced! I was really surprised when I walked in (after having made an appointment) that it took only like 25-30 mins to be fully done with my dog! I had expected to go back home and back to the spa to pick her up, but once Sonia told me to just wait 30 mins inside her location, I was so happy that I made the right choice of choosing a new groomer for my dog! I definitely recommend this great pet spa and team that took care of my little princess! You won't be disappointed with her great and affordable services! She will take care of your little furbaby and loves dogs above anything else in this world! read more

I had been using the same groomer for 8 years, but recently I felt it was time for a change, so of course I was nervous. I read the reviews and was impressed with all the 5 stars. I called on a Saturday, and I was so happy to hear they could take my Shih Tzu in. I ran right over and from the minute Sonia started talking, I knew it was the right place for us. It's a family oriented feeling, she picked up my dog and held him like she knew him forever. I showed her pictures and she said I'll do whatever you want, and she did. He came perfect, in under 2 1/2 hours, prices were very reasonable and I can't wait to go back. I feel like I made a new friend as well. She told me her background and history of the business so I felt very comfortable leaving my Nico with her. Will definitely be going back! read more

Update, my cat has been vomiting for over 9 days and continues to hide and is shaky. Guess that is what happens when a groomer shaves off a cats whiskers. After speaking with Sonia about this cruelty, she simply stated, "you are right, I should not have done that. Your cats balance might be a little off. I won't do that next time". Oddly, she told me when i picked up my cat that "he was so well-behaved and never moved while she worked on him"..... Then why shave off whiskers. My cat has more than balance issues, he is traumatized! My Vet here in Plantation, was in shock when he saw what Sonia did and said we have to wait and hope they grow back and hope there is no permanent damage. Not sure how other cat owners can say she does a good job, they must be friends or she just chose my cat to abuse that particular day.....sick! Anyone who reads this, please do not take a chance that your pet will also be abused. Not worth it in anyway! read more

This woman is a danger - you give her specific instructions and she does what she wants and feigns ignorance. She absolutely ruined our dog. We are horrified at how she destroyed a years worth of a long coat with perfect grooming in one fell swoop - she just shaved it all off after being told 100 times not to - She is a nightmare. When my wife picked up our dog - she demanded payment before we even saw our dog - and asked for a tip! (Imagine asking for a tip for service you already paid for ) and my wife naively paid and tipped her - then our dog came out - A year's worth of perfect grooming - a long beautiful coat - shaved right off - we didn't recognize her. She then takes no responsibility and rather than being contrite and apologize gets offended that we are so upset. The gaslighting is incredible - we asked her to take off ONE inch and she says "so its a little shorter than you wanted" You cannot imagine how offensive, dishonest and manipulative this is. She literally ruined our dog and shrugs it off as if "so its little shorter than you wanted" She talks a good game but every word out of her mouth is dishonest. Do not trust her. You will be heartbroken as we are. She has one setting and that is to never admit a mistake, be defensive by going on the offensive -- and deny any responsibility. I cannot warn people off of this place strongly enough read more

Very underwhelming experience here. I will say it was nice that they were able to accommodate my appointment request on a short notice so I ended up taking my dog. When I picked her up she didn't look any or smell any different. She barely smelled of any shampoo and we were told they didn't need to clip her nails because we "walk her so often". I'm not sure they did much of anything . I was pretty confused. I would not return. Overall I couldn't even tell you what I paid for. read more

This review is for cat grooming services only. I am so happy to have found Royal Paws, and it's wonderful owner/groomer Sonia! She always treats my baby, Lulu, like one of her own (or at least seems to!). Lulu won't let me near her claws to trim them, so off we go every 6 weeks or so to see Sonia. I'm not good with making appointments, so I'm very lucky that Royal Paws is very accommodating about fitting us in on the day I call. I know trimming her claws only takes about 5 minutes, but it's still a huge convenience for me. The salon is cute and Sonia really seems to love her work. You can hear her talking and cooing to the animals as she works in the back. My cat goes in majorly stressed out from the car ride there, but leaves relaxed and with perfectly trimmed claws - even the vet commented on them the last time we were there. read more

1000/10 thank you royal paws! (LONG BUT WORTH THE READ, PET OWNERS BEWARE) if you care about your cat/dog being HANDLED WITH CARE, in a WELL DETAILED manner while caring for your pets health & beauty while listening to what you want & communicating what'll be done with full transparency, then I could truly not begin to recommend Sonia enough. This morning i actually had a groomers appt (with a mobile grooming service) that had a ton of what seems to be really "great reviews" for my 5 month old Persian kitten but it quickly turned into a quite horrid one instead... 10 minutes into the appointment I get told that my kitten is too afraid to get blow-dried and that the groomer could not finish the job, so I pick my kitten up & he's not only shaking because he's soaking wet, but he's bleeding from THREE of his PAWS!! (He didn't need a nail clipping as we just did it a week prior) I'm no expert, but they this has never happened to me while attempting to clip my kittens nails but he did let me know that I should leave my cat on the balcony to dry off since it may take all day! But he could come back tomorrow to finish the haircut, I told him that it was fine and that I would just dry my kitten off myself, he agreed then charged me $120 In the moment I quite honestly just paid & wanted to get him out of there as quickly as possible. as soon as I got in the car I remembered a friend recommended royal paws boutique a few months back, so I gave the owner Sonia a call around 10am right after this horrid appointment & explained what had just happened; she told me to come on in, which then I frantically did, as soon as I stepped foot into the pet spa o immediately felt safe having my kitten in her care, she was attentive, thorough, and has true passion for her craft. When I went to pick my kitten up from royal pet spa, Sonia immediately filled me in on how the session went, and not only did she address his bloody nail situation + knots that the previous groomer didn't even consider to brush upon receiving him but... she found COTTON BALLS that were left in his ears from the previous groomer which to my now known knowledge, could've led to a much bigger issue if i hadn't seen it (which I probably wouldn't be able to as I am a first time cat owner) nor did i know there were any cotton balls in his ears, she expressed how sweet my kitten was and just afraid of the drying noises, which will take some getting used to. In the end he looked beautiful & freshly clean and seemed as if he were back to his normal sweet & relaxed state, and to top it all off she has FAR BETTER prices, i also wrote a review sharing my experience at the other groomers & they asked me to take it down offering a % of money refunded, so i see how they've kept their "highly rated reviewed" company alive. in the end I really felt like my kitten got pampered. And she made a traumatic experience a pleasant one, I will be a long time customer read more

My daughter took our 6lb chihuahua to be groomed today. He is a rescue and was abused his entire life. He doesn't trust many people. He is always scared when he goes and comes home from being groomed. We have tried many places with bad outcomes each time. Today is the first time he came home happy and wagging his tail after being groomed. He was clean, hair trimmed, and she even took the time to take of his nails and paws. My daughter said he even licked the lady who took care of him and she referred to him as "Baby", which I thought was so sweet. That shows that this place really takes the time & cares about what they do. I wish I could give 10 stars. This will be our new permanent home. I will recommend this place to everyone! read more

I took my nine month old ragdoll kitten to Sonia today and I couldn't have been happier! Quinn (my kitten) had gotten dirty last night and refused to let me bathe her. I spent all morning calling around trying to find a groomer who not only had good reviews but also had availability to take her today. Sonia was extremely accommodating. She sat with me and Quinn telling me about how she started her business and her love for animals. I thought this was extremely incredible since I'm very nervous about leaving Quinn with a stranger. When I came back to pick up Quinn, she looked gorgeous! I would recommend this business to anyone looking to take their furry children for grooming services. read more

"WHO WOULD DO THIS TO A POODLE?!" Large breed owners please read: I called on a Friday to make a Saturday appointment, I was well welcomed and told to come in early the next day as a walk in. As you can see in the picture, my dog's long hair gave them plenty of opportunity to style something decent. - I asked for a cut like the screenshot I circled and showed it to Sonya. ***The person managing the store (Sonya) told me "I'm only going to charge you $85, only cause I'm being nice" - well I was the one being nice for actually paying for this. - I should've just expressed my disappointment at the store. - I called and Sonya offered me to come back and shave my dog down more... - Please look at the picture, THERE WAS NOTHING THAT SHE COULD DO TO FIX THAT. - No refund was offered. In conclusion, I strongly believe that: - the two young kids in there (ages 9-15) are the ones grooming the dogs. - All large dogs are shaven down and given this ridiculous puff tail haircut to save time - They could have at least cut the fur evenly. ***My Dog's birthday is today 8/24, I went to Royal Paws Pet Spa & Boutique for a cut on 8/20, BECAUSE OF THESE FOLKS, MY DOG'S 1st BIRTHDAY PLANS HAVE BEEN CANCELED! *** - there's no way in hell I can have my dog be seen like this. - I placed an order for dog clippers, I will be doing this on my own from now. Could've saved $105 dollars and been satisfied with it. - It is unfair for you to accept a client if you cannot accomplish the style requested. Just say you can't, don't blame the dog's breed. My dog's fur is curly and not matted. You folks make this excuse all the time, just brush it or don't accept the customer. - I wish I could give less than one star read more
