Ryder

My dog Ryder had his first appointment at pet grooming today. The young ladies that greeted us were smiling and friend just like my first visit their with my other puppy Anikka 3 weeks earlier. They took great care with Ryder and he was happy and excited when I returned about 15 minutes later to pick him up. As with my vet, the young ladies wanted to keep Ryder. He has this charm that everyone falls in love with. Thank you Petsmart, for employing such great associates to care for my puppies.

The instructors were all helpful and I loved seeing my dog's progress. We were diligent about attending and practicing. When both my grandfather and mother fell ill and died within 3 months of each other during the holiday season of 2024, I could no longer make the sessions with my dog. Truly they were forgotten during this time of extreme hardship. A couple months later when I could breathe again, I remembered our sessions and went to reserve a class but couldn't because my package had expired. I called and was told that nothing could be done, as this was the policy. These are privately-owned franchise locations, and the owners have the ability to create and revise policies to help their customers - it is their choice to take a customer's money in upfront packages and then refuse to extend any goodwill or flexibility. The classes I attended were rarely full. It would not have hurt their business in any way to allow me to utilize the classes I had already purchased. Looking at other reviews, they have a pattern of treating customers this way. If they had let me use the classes that I bought, I surely would've kept coming and even bought more sessions. But it's not worth it to me to support a business that treats its customers like this.

Their entire team has provided the best possible experience we could ever expect from a dog training service. Both the in-home one-on-one trainings and the group trainings have been such a blessing to our miniature dachshund puppies. The improvement they have shown has been unbelievable and we owe it all to the Wagging Willow team. We want to give an extra special shoutout to Susan for the constant tips and advice about food, potty training, and literally anything else we need. She puts in so much extra time and effort. She has truly gone above and beyond our expectations for a dog trainer. I can't imagine a better experience than we've had with Susan. If you have a dog, you need training with Wagging Willow. I recommend them to any dog owner, novice (like us) or experienced. Tell them Hazel and Honey sent you. :)

Her training program is fun, informative, and effective. I first came to Susan after a recommendation from a close friend. My dog Chloe needed some help learning her proper manners. After the very first class I knew we were in good hands. Susan's training is based on positive reinforcement. Chloe passed through the first and second courses with flying colors. She is now in her third course and is on track to graduate with the Canine Good Citizen certification. We recently adopted another dog that needs training and I knew exactly where to go! Ruby has learned so much after only two classes! If you have a puppy or a dog that needs training I highly recommend Wagging Willow. You will have fun with your pupper, learn a lot, and form a deeper bond with your furry family member.

Since The decoy seminar, I have worked very closely with Tai and Lexi when it comes to obedience and bite work with dogs. I have seen clients walk out the front door with smiles on their faces with their dogs are also really well behaved because of the work that Lexi, Tai, and also their trainer Max does daily. A lot of people always talk about wanting to have more obedient dogs. This is the place to go.

First of all the price is great in my opinion. Their facility has plenty of play space and the livery room we got was large. We always want, maybe even need, to be able to check in on them. While on past stays we would look and find them pacing and awooing all night. Something about this place made them zen. They looked out the windows, climbed and snuggled in their bed. We signed up for both of them to get a bath before pick up but due to some error with their system only our little guy got his, which was sad because if we had to pick we would have picked her. For our two dogs it was $115 a day for the luxury suite. When we arrived to pick them up we expected our Dachshund to scream like he does when we come home and our Auggie to go crazy and we were so disappointed when they came up to us like okay cool, summer camp is over? Not one cry or bark, no jumping or crazy tail wags. Next time we hope to board them for training. Our dogs would have required 3 weeks and that just didn't work for us right now.

Oh, and his wife only talks to you when she's taking payment for training that only lasted five minutes. I've had better help using YT. He also uses choke collars to "train" the dogs, which I was not going to let him do with mine.

We did the 10 day board and train. Our pup needed guidance, boundaries, and leadership, with Sit Means Sit we have been able to give that to her. 2 Star - Disappointing Experience I genuinely wanted to like…read morethis company and had hoped we would have a positive experience, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We were a returning customer to Pawfection, we enjoyed the puppy training they provided our boy. We contacted Pawfection because our now 7-year-old Goldendoodle had suddenly started urinating inside our home whenever we left. He had been house-trained his entire life, so this was a concerning and unusual change in behavior. We were looking for professional guidance to understand and address the issue. We paid approximately $900 (fee plus mileage) for an in-home session that lasted less than two hours. The session consisted largely of a PowerPoint presentation (same presentation we viewed 7 years ago) with general tips and techniques for dog behavior. The trainer assessed his urination as behavioral. He recommended we purchase a citronella collar from Amazon, an additional $70 (wasn't included in the $850 fee) to redirect the negative behavior. 2 weeks later, 14 days, our pup was diagnosed with advanced dilated cardiomyopathy and congestive heart failure. Sadly, his condition progressed rapidly and we had to say goodbye to him less than a month of Pawfection coming to our home to assess his behavior. I understand that a dog trainer is not a veterinarian, nor do I expect a trainer to diagnose a medical condition. However, given the sudden change in behavior, I was disappointed with the assessment and, ultimately, the value of the service we received for the amount charged. After he passed, I reached out to the company, explained what had happened, and respectfully asked whether they would consider a partial refund given the circumstances. That request was declined. At nearly $900 for less than two hours, I expected a more individualized experience and greater value. Unfortunately, both the service and the company's response afterward left us disappointed. He was terminally ill unbeknownst to us. I have no problem paying for the trainers time spent with us, but $900 for an animal that passed away two weeks after the assessment seems morally wrong. I truly wanted to have a positive experience with Pawfection, but I walked away feeling differently.
