Petco has really great variety of stuff and the staff are always very friendly and helpful. I like how they have the stores organized too-it helps you find things easily. They have so many things for all different kinds of animals even some exotic breeds. They have good sales often. I like looking at the animals and reptiles they have in there too. I feel bad for some of the reptiles they look really sad because of their habitat being so small. I'm hopeful that they get sold quickly. We come here every so often to different locations. Most locations carry the same stuff. Most of them are nicely organized and clean too. Always a good experience. read more

Whenever I need to brighten my day, I go to PetCo. I know it seems silly, but I really love cats and as a cat owner, I love visiting the sweet kitties at this establishment. They brighten my day and mood and I always end up picking up a treat for my girl. I do wish you guys had more options for cat toys and different flavors of catnip since my cat got used to the brands you guys offer. I've been bringing my pup Kai here for two years for grooming with Brittany. They have been incredible with us! If you want a grooming experience where you know the entire staff cares about your pup. Brittany noticed a mass on my pups neck that I hadn't noticed and made sure to let me know immediately and show me where it was. Because of her concern and diligence we were able to catch cancer in him early enough to have it removed. We aren't ending with the most positive outcome, however it would be way worse if it was not noticed in a timely way. When it comes to small aquarium supplies, this location never disappoints or ceases to surprise me. It seems like every time I come in here, I find something new or something that I didn't notice before. During my most recent visit, I was pleasantly surprised by the small selection of natural substrate and decor, including catappa leaves. What a surprise for a big box chain to have these items. Typically, I don't buy any cat supplies from here so I can't say if they have a good selection or not. Saltwater fish. DO NOT BUY ANY FROM THIS LOCATION! Dead and dying clownfish, obviously sick with cloudy eyes and white matter in body. One was nearly dead the other definitely dead in a system obviously neglected maintenance wise. The excuse I got was... "They came in that way" My response. Why put them Out for display and risk contaminating your entire system with god knows what diseases. Get rid of the saltwater fish in this location if you can't properly care for them. Especially if you don't have the fortitude to ensure the tanks and animals are display worthy for the general public. If Petco is sending sick fish to its stores SHAME ON YOU! You're charging a premium for extremely sub-par fish. Not to mention the system was low on water blowing micro bubbles into all the tanks. If the fish look this bad can you imagine if I would trust their parameters aren't crazy. Salinity/SG Ammonia Nitrite Nitrate Phosphate Ca Mg Alk Do they know or even test parameters? All I can say is WOW and suggest novice keepers avoid buying any saltwater fish, inverts, algae, or live rock. Please someone from Petco please chime in. read more

Nice location that's super clean and fun to walk through. Our daughter loves to look at all the animals they have around - especially the fish. They have kitties up front for adoption as well, so be sure to give them some love. They have all the usual items and the occasional sales for seasonal items going out. I took my dog there for Grooming with Brittany. She was rude to him and hurt his back leg. I filed a complaint and they kicked me out of all Petco grooming services for my complaint. They told me that no Petco grooming can take him because they are "scared of a liability". They are trying to cover it up and pretend like my King Charles Cavalier Spaniel is "difficult to groom due to being uncooperative" but I have never heard a complaint about his behavior ever before. They usually only tell me how much of a good dog he was. If you take your dog to grooming services there, please be aware that if anything happens to your dog that they will not stand up for your dog. They will instead protect themselves and their groomers only. read more

She started very polite and once she seen the notes in the computer, she immediately got aggressive and continue to scold us over and over again like children. She used her power to make our life miserable bc she didn't like the fact we didn't want to continue to hear her lecture over and over again with her aggressive tone. How do I begin? First, my appointment was at 9 am for 2 dogs, I arrived 10 minutes early because my dogs have never been there and I wanted to see how they would interact with the groomers. Entered the building and no one came out to greet us. I had to ask someone if someone was here or should I come back. Little to my knowledge some was there the whole time. She finally came out, I said "Hi, I'm here to drop off Chase and Gunner." I received a not so warm hello, she wasn't welcoming at all. She seemed very unpleased that we were there. I wanted to turn around then. She then got on the computer and asked if I had proof of their Rabies and if it was all up to date. I guess she just wanted to get straight to business and forgot about customer service. The second groomer arrived and also didn't acknowledge us, she went to her coworker, looked at the computer and said, "Oh, ok". I guess that was code for I'm canceling them because she went to the back put her bags down, came back out and told me she was allow to take my dog because the amount of hair she would have to take off his ears. I can ignore them being rude, I can ignore them not taking my baby boy bit what I can't ignore is what happened to my baby boy within the time it took me to walk to my car put my dog in the car and receive a call from them. (I will give her 10 minutes, if that). I came in got my dog, got him to the car and saw that his mouth had blood in it. She had my baby for 10 minutes and I got him back with a mouth full of blood. NEVER AGAIN!!!! These two ladies were not only rude but they animal abusers. Definitely should not be left alone with anyone's pet. I couldn't get in my car and she caused so my trauma to my baby boy. read more

Lived in Apopka for several years and found out that they just changed their policy to charge for bags. I am in this store weekly and never have there been any signs posted to this policy change. Went into grooming to have my dog's nails clipped, which I have done in the past. They waited on me right away, groomer was very nice and helpful. When I went to cashier, to my very unhappy surprise, the cost of nail clipping went from $12 to $20, this was within 3 months time. This isn't inflation, this is price gouging! I also was suppose to receive a "free" bag of dog food after buying so many bags. My FREE bag cost me over $9. I have one more grooming before I get a FREE grooming, I wonder how much my FREE grooming will cost me? I won't find out because I won't be going back! read more

I take my OES here for grooming and love the care and work that Teri takes with my dog! When I first started bringing my dog here he was still getting used to being groomed but now he actually loves it! And loves seeing his friend Teri! The store and grooming area is always clean and well kept. The entire staff is friendly and helpful. Teri is always really mindful about what I want for each groom and tries to keep me updated and work as quickly as possible. She also helped educate me on the best ways to groom him at home in between appointments. My dog always returns home looking fresh and clean! read more

I was told sorry another store has our cone collar so we will call you when we get it back today. Well I got called back just before they were closing. I called them back today only to be told that now they have no appointments available until Monday. Pretty sorry that a corporation of this size has to share basic grooming equipment. 4 stars for a new store and good selection We went here for their re-grand opening in early November. They were giving away $10 gift cards to the first so many customers. We waited in a line for a bit but I thought it was worth it, if you're not doing anything on a Saturday. The store had been updated and renovated, it moved it's location over as the new Whole Foods was going in. I felt like the store was a bit larger than the previous location and they had a large selection of items. Although I don't shop here to often, I'm glad there is a good pet store near my home. P.S. The vet and her assistant were caring and knowledgable and also very calming for my dog who usually fights tooth and nail when it comes to vets. He was so at ease he didnt even notice he got a shot. Did not clip my dog nails at all because they were scared of a lab.....i don't know what they do when they bath dogs but my dog loves bath until i took him in pet o grooming now he doesn't like it when i bath him he is terrified!!! This will be short and sweet. I happened to stop here briefly since I was in the area. The entire store looks to have been updated to 2016. It's definitely one of the nicer locations I've been to. The store is quite large and very spacious which is perfect since it is a dog friendly store( so you are not walking on top of each other). Unfortunately they don't sell the brand of food that we feed our dogs but I would still come here to shop for other miscellaneous items. The store associate at the register was very friendly and directed me towards the item I was looking for. Checkout was a breeze and I'm hoping my next visit is just as good. My only complaint is that I once bought Petco brand poop bags (it said "Petco" on them) and on one of the rolls both sides of the bag were open and obviously could not be used without tying the bag together. read more

I'm a fan of any pet store that doesn't sell dogs or cats but instead donates space for animal adoption agencies. The store is a fair size and pretty clean. They have a limited selection of small furry animals (mice, rats, dwarf hamsters, ferrets), reptiles (turtles, lizards, geckos and boas) and an even smaller selection of fish and the only birds they had were parakeets. I did like the bright open Betta fish display but unlike other Petcos I didn't see any saltwater fish. There were several cats and kittens available for adoption but also lots of empty enclosures throughout the store. We were able to find what we were looking for easily and check out was quick. Although several employees were present no one greeted us or asked if they could help us. Once we engage the cashier she was friendly enough. Petco could use a little more proactive customer service to improve the shopping experience. Also- like Petsmart they have that Pet Card you are supposed to carry for discounts. This week wasn't my first time venturing into this Petco but I was a bit more impressed with the level of service I received. Perhaps it was due to the late time on a week night or maybe it was just helpful staff on this particular evening. Either way, I received really good customer service from the employees at the store and had an overall good experience. Little bit bummed that they didn't have the particular dog food I was looking for in a larger bag but given that it is a highly specific type of food I wasn't too shocked that they didn't have a larger bag. I have always found this store to be well-stocked, exceptionally clean and a great place to take my adorable pups Oakley & Guinness. I also love that on the weekends they allow rescue organizations to bring in adoptable pets. That always gets an extra star in my book! read more

This review is based off of my experience with Charliene in grooming. I brought my dog in for a nail trim and also had questions about bringing another dog of mine in, who is very shy around new people. She gave great advice and an explanation of how they overcome those types of personality quirks. I didn't feel rushed though there was someone waiting behind me and am looking forward to acclimating the other pup to the grooming salon at this Petco. You can tell she enjoyed her job. Love this Petco location! First of all, they were just remodeled when they put in the Whole Foods next door and I really like the new open layout. We usually take our dog here for a full service bath and for the occasional toy and treat. The full service bath is a great deal. You get a bath, nail buff, brush out, ear cleaning and more for $44. They are always sending out coupons for 20% off grooming services and there's always a coupon on the end of your receipt. That's one of the big reasons why I prefer Petco to some of the other pet stores around. They're always sending you coupons! And for that, I will keep coming back! read more

Let me open by saying that this Petco is one of the BEST pet stores I've ever been to. I love their huge selection of animal goodies. This is a rather large store and very nicely laid out. I've been shopping here since I moved to the area a year ago-hesitantly I might add. I've been a Pet Smart/Pet Supermarket customer my entire life, but since Petco was the closest pet store I took my chances and ended up loving this past all of the other stores I was accustomed to shopping at. Petco's Pals membership (free) also gives you 5% back on every $100 spent, which helps out a lot if you have as many pets as I do (2 dogs, 2 cats, a sugar glider, and some fish). A few weeks ago, I bought my first 10-gallon tank. I couldn't wait to full it up with something other than shrimp, so I've come to know the guy working the fish area very well. His name is Andrew and he couldn't be nicer! Very, very helpful and I can't stress this part enough-KNOWS WHAT HE'S DOING!!! Having shrimp in a tank is VERY hard to find compatible tank mates with that won't eat them since shrimp is a primary ingredient in most fish foods. Andrew custom-orders all of the fish in his dpt and knows every little bit about them! This store has exotics too, such as: bamboo shrimp, flounder, eels, crayfish, golden rabbit snails, and so many more I couldn't name. He's always in the fish area so there's no need to wait around for an employee to show up. He truly loves his job. Finally, my boyfriend and I took our Husky pup to have training with Sara and she couldn't be nicer! 15 years experience working with dogs and very helpful and willing to work around our schedule. Dog training is very expensive, but she gave us a deal anyways and if it's training for the rest of your dog's life, it's an investment well-made. read more

Today Emily did a great job, even when I know my dog is a lil crazy and doesn't like to be groom, he looks great! Simple, I was living a walking 3 mins max distance, from it ( visited 3 times per week)and being a total nut of pet food stock, I can assure you, this store got the very most items of the rest Petco stores out there. The store is spacious, clean and have a great customer service, that actually can help with no hesitations.
