I have taken my Springer for nail trims for years. 10/1, Callie had a very bad seizure while we were there. So thankful that Kristie & her staff were so loving & supportive. We used Heavenly Paws & Callie crossed the rainbow bridge later that day. read more

I found out about As The Tail Wags. From reading an ad about PEMF Therapy for dogs. I brought my 13 year old dog in to give it a try. It was fantastic. The therapy has been helping my dog feel more alive with arthritis and laxating Patella. The pulse therapy, combined with the nail clips have helped my dog not slip, and seems to be helping curb the stiffness. The women that work there love animals, and show my dog almost the same affection I give her. read more

My poodle Bunni loves the groomer/owner at As the Tail Wags in Oviedo. Today the owner had the grandchildren in her shop and Bunni loved it. Christy is a very experienced groomer. She always does exactly what I need. Bunni loves her and she doesn't just get shoved in a cage after the groom. Christy treats her customers - both 2-legged and 4-legged - with kindness and efficiency. She is knowledgeable about pets and has given good advice over the decades I've been going there. read more

Never been here, but I recently read an article about the amazing gift this place gave to a suffering dog, and if you are fortunate enough to be close enough to this place, clearly they will take care of you and your pet. I'm in south Florida, too far to go here regularly, but if I am in the area, I'm bringing my dogs! https://apple.news/AJsZlUVeNST2GbwZFCL7YZQ read more

The lady / owner literally allowed her largest dog to defecate in front of the Breakfast restaurant sidewalk! She did NOT return to retrieve it, yes she saw her dog do it! We waited in disbelief! She should always carry a bag because she walks all her dogs to the corner yard. I was kind enough to retrieve it and left it at her front door . read more

I wouldn't recommend this groomer to anyone, and I'll never return. The space is unappealing, and the grooming quality is mediocre--but it's their questionable business practices and poor customer service that really compel me to warn others. They initially told me the appointment would take about two hours, which is typical. However, I was notified just 30 minutes later that my dog was ready, suggesting the service was rushed. This was inconvenient, as I had driven home and then immediately had to come back. The real issue, though, was the pricing. I booked online, where the price was advertised as "starting at $47," yet I was charged nearly DOUBLE - $90. Then, after I'd already paid and left, they called me back to refund $10 because they charged me incorrectly. But the final charge was still significantly more than expected based on their own website's list of prices. I understand minor increases for special add-ons and extra services, but it's hard to justify such a steep up-charge for my 7-pound dog--especially one who's well-behaved, not matted, and doesn't have a curly coat. When I questioned the price, the staff gave conflicting responses. First, they claimed the website was outdated, which I think is an unacceptable excuse. Then, the owner blamed me for not selecting the correct service, even though I specified the breed and a "small" dog groom when making the appointment. Beyond that, they obviously saw her size and coat upon arrival and before charging me. Lastly, she changed the story, insisting the website price is accurate but shrugged off the discrepancy with a dismissive, apathetic attitude. In the end, I was left frustrated and without a clear explanation for why I was charged 70% more than the advertised price. To top it off, they never asked for my dog's vaccination records, which raises serious health concerns considering how many dogs were packed into the small space. Not only does it feel irresponsible, but it also suggests they may not follow standard health practices. Overall, the lack of transparency and accountability along with a rushed, unimpressive groom was entirely disappointing. I'd advise others to look elsewhere. read more

Booked my appointment, got a confirmation email, show up on time and I'm told 'we are not grooming today". No heads up, no call, nothing, no attempt to rebook. Kristie took great care of my baby for me. I had a rescue in need of some love, a good bath and a nail trim. The pup was understandably nervous around new people, but when I picked her up she was cuddling her and so at ease. She smelled wonderful, looked like a new dog with her cleaned fur and face, and her nails were grounded down perfectly. I'd come back to Kristie in a heartbeat for her services and how she treated our foster pup with such care. read more

It has been several years now, but I can only discuss what happened without fuming rage now. Given it's still in operation and under the same ownership all I can say is I could never trust this place with my animals again. I dropped off my dog here in perfectly healthy condition and when I picked him up he was unable to stand on his own and acted as if he suffered a stroke. The staff had to help me pick him up to get him in my vehicle. I rushed him to the emergency vet to discover his neck had two herniated disc's -an ailment he never had prior. Two surgeries later, a moment where I had 30 minutes before I had to say put him to sleep if he didn't wake and 8 months of therapy to follow, to the total tune of 18000 dollars..... Worst part is they followed up days later, and when I told them they refused to take any responsibility. I had paid full price for the groom before I could leave. Even after explaining, and at that point it was unclear if he would make it....they did not even offer to refund the service. Not even the human kindness for that. If you use them, please take note of all your pets health. Take pictures, video, etc. Get the evidence of their condition going in. You may need it. read more

Usually take my Willa girl to a large chain to get her nails grinded. She's 14 so a little sensitive to new places and people touching her paws. Due to the pandemic the large chain wouldn't take only getting her nails done. After a few suggestions from others in the community I decided to try As The Tail Wags a chance and I'm so glad I did. The owner came out to Willa as she could tell she was scared and not wanting to go inside too far. She was gentle and soothing with her and done within 5 minutes. I think it's safe to say we found a new local business to support who treats my Willa girl with compassion read more

We've been using "As The Tail Wags" for almost a decade. Our family has always had golden's and without a doubt, Kristie and her staff not only do a fantastic job but truly love animals. Typically closed on Mondays, but I happened to see the open sign lit and stopped in to see if they could do an emergency bath for my golden. The owner was there and told me to bring her in and she would get it done even though I had to go home to get the dog. Dropped her off and went to go get groceries. Was called as I was leaving Publix to say she was done. I was a little worried at the quick turnaround that she may not be completely dry, but I was happy to pick up a completely dry clean smelling dog. No small feat with a golden in that short of a time frame. The price was less than I expected and the service was exceptional. This is coming from someone who has worked in the veterinary industry for over 25 years. read more

Pretty disappointed in their complete lack of customer service! The woman on the phone laughed at me when I explained what I had recently done to maintain my dogs coat after they shaved her down to the skin without so much as checking in with me first. I have been here several times in the past few years but I can safely say that this was the last time. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. The experience wasn't just negative it was completely insulting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ***Update***Now someone claiming to have been there when I dropped my dog off and when I called hours later is attacking me in the compliments section of YELP. Stating that I the lack of customer service was my fault and that if I had cared for my dog that this wouldn't have happened. Clearly this is an employee trying to stage themselves as a fellow customer to defend the poor behavior of the establishment. Pretty sad. ***Update 3:50PM*** I am now being attacked again and told that Animal Protective Services should have been called for neglect, BWHAHAHAHAHA. This establishment is disgusting. Attacking their customers for providing a review on their terrible service. Its sickening how far they will go to not take responsibility for poor service. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS! Kate E. Oviedo, FL 43 2/3/2016 The first time I took my dog to Kristie, I liked her a lot. She is very friendly and the services are reasonably priced, but I'm afraid that after my third experience with this groomer, I will not be taking my pet back there. I was taken back the second and third time I visited Kristie when she told me that my dog was too matted to leave any fur left on his body, not even on his head. My dog gets brushed three times a week due to his long fur. He had no knots on his body. I honestly just think its either laziness or a lack of knowledge when it comes to grooming dogs that keeps this groomer from actually giving my dog a proper grooming instead of just a shave-down. And this time I didn't notice until a little later that my dog was shaved so closely that his lip was scraped on one side with the clippers. He has no hair and blood spots on his upper lip on one side do to how close of a shave he was given. I am so upset with this. I paid for my dog to get taken care of properly and he comes back with a cut on his face. I will not be returning to this groomer. read more

I will never take my dogs any where else! Kristie came recommended to me by a friend and co-worker and I have been going to see her for the last several years. I will have to admit that the prices are a little higher than some other companies but she is well worth it! We tried a couple other places to try and save money but we always came back to Kristie. She is very friendly and so professional. Her entire staff is amazing and truly know what they are doing. There were a couple times I forgot to schedule an appointment and called to see if I could bring both my dogs in and she always says yes; one time was Mother's day weekend! I will never forget that and recommend her to anyone I can. read more

I will NEVER bring my dog in here again . She is 10 years old and has had grooms her whole ljfe. She has never been told she was difficult. The only this her face. We have moved around and been to multiple places. The person on the phone called me and was so rude on the phone saying my 10 lb dog was difficult. When I get there she loudly talks about my dog . Sne also was not even close to being done after repeatedly telling them I had to get my son. She them went on to blame for not being done. She should be reported for the way she talks to people and I will never ever bring her again. I will be also. Letting my mom groups and local group show unprofessional this place is. Shame on this business. If they can't handle dogs, then don't groom Update- I went to another place today and told them that I was told she was difficult. When I went to pick her up the had nothing but nice things to say and then went on to say how she was giving the staff kisses. They were also done in an hour half with my dog being groomed and my other bathed. read more
