So happy to have found this GEM of a groomer for my fur baby! We have been going to BGE for just over a year now and here's why I love them: For starters, they are a cage/stress free groomer which means your pup isn't crated in a drying cage like they do at many other groomers. This means your pup is in great hands from beginning to end which gives them a spa like experience. When I drop him off and they take him to the back, I always hear them say "Everyone, Remy is here!" and the groomers all say "Hi Remy!" which I think is such a cute touch that allows me to leave peacefully knowing he's cared for. The best part is after they're groomed, they get a complimentary photo shoot! I will say this is what I look forward to most after picking my pup up. They upload their photos on their Facebook page and there's always such a cute theme to celebrate whatever is going on that month/season. We even sometimes get paw print art to take home! Best Groomers Ever. And we're not talking about the Disney kind of groomers. Super friendly staff and they always make our pup look wonderful. You drop off your pet and then go and wait until they call you. Typically about 2-3 hours. They aren't the cheapest shop in town, but they do a really nice job. read more

Horrible cut and even more horrible customer service! Took my 2 maltipoo puppies in for their first haircut, they came out looking like student or an amateur cut them. They chopped around the face only I spent over $100 when I called the next day to discuss their haircut I asked to speak to the owner and was told I was speaking to the manager Haley, she explained they received a puppy cut, face and feet only $5.00 less than a full groom which was never explained beforehand. I asked if they could fix this and she said NO. I told her I would not be coming back after being a customer for many years with my other dog which was also a maltipoo and never came out looking like this. I spent over $115 and now have to take them to be get a REAL HAIRCUT Bad customer service and really poor management. read more

Livid after picking up my dogs. I took my golden doodle there today to have her do a partial trim. I explicitly told the woman at the front to do partial trim as a golden retriever because unlike most golden doodles her hair is very clearly that of a retriever, not poodle. Apparently the person who cut my dogs hair decided to cut as a poodle and do a full cut because they were confused and decided instead of calling or asking what to do they just went with what they felt like. Our mini-Goldendoodle puppy, Piper just had her first appointment at BGE after glowing recommendations from multiple neighbors. They were incredibly responsive and I got to talk personally with the groomer about my concerns (not wanting facial hair to short.) They were so calm and patient with Piper and communicated clearly and up front about the fees and any potential additional costs for matting. (There was no add'l fees and the charge was the lowest of the range they originally quoted me.) I cannot recommend them enough! read more

My first time having my Bum groomed and BGE came highly recommended. I filmed out a first time request online and got a call back right away to schedule the grooming. It was a very easy process. Upon arrival i was greated immediately. The staff was very friendly abs attentive to my bun. I got a Bunny mini groom. The folks that work here provide excellent customer service from the follow up on scheduling to the follow through and sending a text complete with photos of my sweet face dog. They really came through and accommodated my schedule after I had to change due to a work conflict. She was ready within the time they said she would and the best part was when I came to pick her up they said "no charge, first groom is on us". What a fantastic business model/strategy!! This was our first time bringing our 75lb malamute husky mix to to BGE. They got him in same day and took great care of him. We've tried a few other groomers in the area but I've always been hesitant. He's very anxious but he's also a giant which isn't a great combo. I let them know of his fear of dryers and his very thick coat. They worked with him to keep as calm as possible in this new environment and after picking him up he looked great! On March 11, 2019, I nervously dropped off my 1.5-year-old Boston Terrier, Luna, at BGE Grooming for her first full professional groom. Looking back now, I was silly to be nervous. When I walked in Kari, the Owner, greeted me with a big smile and a warm greeting. Luna excitedly went to Kari. Kari kneeled down and started to love on her as if Luna was one of her pups which lessened my nervousness. She explained what they would be doing (bath, de-shed, teeth cleaning, ear cleaning, nails sanded, etc.), broke down what I thought needed to be done, how their process is, etc. I received a call to pick her up an hour later. (She is a short hair breed, so it didn't take long) Luna came out of the groomers door very happy. She smelled amazing. Kari's young daughter had placed a sweet little pink bow on her leash. She also gave Luna a pink bow tie because her hair isn't long enough to put them in and she wanted Luna to still feel pretty and special. My heart melted! We were also given some treats to try that she buys from a local young lady that makes them from her home. They also did a cute little mini photoshoot with Luna before I picked her up. The photos were adorable! I will 100% continue to use BGE Grooming because of how wonderfully they treated my pup. They also have a no-nonsense approach to grooming. I appreciate that they do not have the "customer is always right" mentality. They will only do what they feel is right/safe for the dog and what they have been highly educated on. This is an OK grooming experience. My goldendoodles don't love it. They do a good job on the hair cut. But the price, especially for a mini groom, along with the time it takes its just too high. I've taken my goldendoodles to 2-3 groomers and the cuts are all pretty similar (cage-free, etc.) - however this place charges $45ish more along with taking at least an hour additional time. There's other groomers I would recommend. read more

I dropped my dog off for his first groom. They were open that they may not be able to do a complete groom and would call me to let me know if they could or couldn't do it. Over 2 hours later and no call, I waited to hear from them but hoped they were able to do it. I finally received a quick call that I had 20 minutes to get the dog and rushed there to discover he looked exactly the same as when I dropped him off. $63 later with a tip, my dog had a bath, eyes trimmed and paw pads trimmed. While I understand you do not push young pups the first time, $52 for the service I was provided is far too much. Be clear with your customer that you will absolutely not do a full cut from the get go. I also could not see where the dogs were taken or what the grooming area looks like. Kari Ann is the best groomer that I've ever been to. I have traveled to Oviedo from Ocoee, Maitland and would probably travel further if needed. Her manner with the animals is that if a true dog lover. My dog is a timid rescue that hasn't always done well with other groomers but he really took to Kari Ann. She has such a nurturing spirit and the dogs can feel it. She comes highly recommend by so much of the community and will treat your dog like it's hers. If you take your dog around the holidays, she will do a little photo shoot and the pictures are priceless. If you're looking for both quality and affordable grooming I would suggest BGE Grooming. They did a good job over all, but do not critique their work. After dropping my dog off, they checked him over and said that he looked good, when I picked him up he was cut shorter than I had wanted and they told me that he had matting. They charged me extra for the de-matting without a phone call to let me know there was a problem. (The reason I was at this groomer was because another groomer shaved my dog without letting me know after checking him and saying at drop off that he looked good). When I asked about the charge and why they did not let me know, they refunded it. When I called for the next grooming appt, they told me that they would no longer service my dog. Can't find a groomer that will groom a dog to look like a golden doodle, they want to clip them short. My dogs are typically groomed every five weeks. Groomers are taking advantage. Looking for a groomer that will let my dogs look like a doodle not a poodle!!! read more

I tried to sign up my dog to bring him here, he is a rescue so I am not sure about his age but we estimate around 10. I was told they would decline to offer services because with older dogs that are not groomed monthly they may be aggressive. My dog has never been aggressive with groomers, his vet or with pet sitters. He declined it when I mentioned the free grooming offer they have for first time clients. Seems they shouldn't offer the deal if they do not want to fulfill it. read more
