Our happy, healthy Freddie. Found crying in a mud puddle @ approx. 4 wks old on 10/31/09.

I've been going to this particular PetSmart for over 5 years and I've had a great experience EVERY time I've visited. There's always someone welcoming me as I enter. Any time I need assistance, finding someone is very quick and easy. If I have any questions, an employee will always do their best to get an answer for me. If it's something on the more serious side, their advice to ask my vet is VERY appreciated. (I'd MUCH rather have that over a guess.) To really express how great the experience has been, I'd like to share some wonderful stories about our "furry babies".., The most wonderful experience I've had was back in November 2009. My boyfriend and I found a tiny kitten, approx. 4 weeks old, in a mud puddle outside of our home. Everyone, one gentleman (who's no longer there, wish I could remember his name) went above and beyond for over 2 months helping us with formula choices, kitten food, and special care. We would have been so lost without all of that help. Freddie is now a wonderful, healthy adult cat. In 2010, our cat Reingassi suffered from (and did, after much treatment, survive) struvite crystals. Obviously, the vets took care of everything important. However, we received great advice of safe treats (I didn't know GNC made urinary tract treats) and litter that would be less harsh for his *parts*. It helped us keep him much more comfortable. And yes, we have another. Due to her type of fur, and the fact that she loves to sit on heating vents, she started sneezing ALL the time. (When she began to cough and sneeze, we did have the vet check her to rule out any type of congenital heart failure.) But she HATES to be brushed. We were shown EVERYTHING we need: special for wipes, particular types of treats, a glove that works as a brush so she think she's being pet (pretty sneaky), etc Yes, quite a bit with these three, all at once. Yet it's what we do to take care of them, and we wouldn't change a thing. No, I am not"talking up this store" just because I've been going there for many years. It really is a very great place, with fantastic customer service, and very helpful employees. There must be fantastic management instilling the ideals of not only great customer service, but the truth that many (if not all) people treat their pets like family members. We will do ANYTHING to keep them not only in perfect health, but perfect happiness. I sure know I do. These are my babies. My only "kids". This place gets it!

I ordered Advantix for my dog and used the curbside pick up. It was very efficient and safe. I will not hesitate to use this service again.

We have never had or trained a dog before and just knew the bare minimum of sit, stay, etc. At 1 years old, Miso still really struggled with potty training, barking in the house at outside stimulation, over excitement and aggressive fear of strangers. Within one session, Jesse, recognized where I needed to improve in my own training as a dog owner and what Miso needed to learn to be a calm, happy, dog with manners. She taught me how to read dog language and how I had actually been reinforcing bad & fearful behavior this whole time! Jesse gave me the training tools and techniques to practice with Miso on a daily basis. The progress has been astounding and before Jesse, there were moments when we thought we might need to re-home Miso. Now we can't even imagine not having Miso in our family, thanks to her!!! Jesse is a patient, articulate, and very knowledgeable trainer who loves what she does. I highly recommend her! You need to put in the training work with your pup on a daily basis, but Jesse is the one you want teaching you how to efficiently and effectively train your pup!

Immediately my cousin told me that this was the best school for dogs in the area. She was right that is for sure! My husband and I started taking our puppy to Rhodes Collar immediately and worked with Michelle on dog obedience skills in both private lessons and group classes. Curtis was able to get involved in a group class entitled Good Citizen Skills. He passed the class thanks to the excellent training from Michelle and owner Glenna and there continued patience with us as new owners of Curtis. We are still taking classes with Michelle and working on more advanced skills now, we really enjoy the classes. The staff are all amazing, Linda helps Curtis with the after school program, she is incredible, Maureen is amazing and helps with so many areas of running the school, Rileigh is also amazing and helps us when we need to board Curtis though Custom Care. We feel 100% confident that our puppy is safe and treated well when we go away, we get pictures and videos of everything he does at school like report cards or when boarding at a staff's home. Staff are always available in a on text and honestly this school is so amazing that my husband and I agree we are better dog owners since going to Rhodes Collar, we plan to be long time customers and are forever grateful to them. Many thanks Rhodes Collar for all you do.

I said I wanted a typical doodle cut with the rounded poofy snout and rounded head. She said, a teddy bear cut? I said yes exactly! And the picture is how Enzo the big guy came out. She wasn't there when I picked him up and I said to the other girl, why is he still wet? She said bc he drooled on himself- what?! I've never heard of that and I've had him for 3 years. Enzo is looking like a mess- all different lengths on the paws, the face is completely ruined, and the body is SHAVED DOWN. Vinny on the other hand came out perfect and had a different groomer. I gave them the exact same instructions (but asked them to keep Vinny's Mohawk and she did). Then, I tried to buy a vest for Enzo. I asked the girl at the register- do you think it will fit my big guy being groomed ? She said yes but return it if not. Great. We tried it on him and it was way too big. I tried to return it and the guy at the register was completely useless. I asked him if he could see if there was a size L instead of XL and his answer was "you would see better than me you should go look". Thx, I did, I wanted you to look it up to see if there are any in the store. "Nah we don't do that". Ok cool, then return it. Him- stares blankly. Me- "are we all set?" Him- do you want to donate? Me "I already did I need to get my dogs out of here". Him: uhhhh.... I think it's all set. Dude. What. I'd give 5 stars to Vinny's groomer and negative stars for the rest of the experience. Really super disappointed.

It's super easy to make sure Daisy is on the list for daycare on the days I need her to be there (I've done this both by email and by phone). They have great COVID precautions in place, and I feel safe dropping off and picking up Daisy (you have to call beforehand, each time). The lovely folks at My Dog's Place make sure to give the pups leashed potty breaks throughout the day, which is nice. It's also nice that they divide up the dogs by size and play style, which is something that worries me at times when we go to the dog park and/or even other puppy play dates. Even though Daisy *thinks* she's a big dog (that corgi attitude...!) she is actually a tiny little thing, so I feel better knowing she is playing with pups who are her own size. :) I feel great because she's SO excited about going to daycare, and she comes back nice and tuckered out afterwards, which makes for nice quiet evenings! I also love the set up they have going for daycare. My dog does not attend as he goes to work with me but I would whole heartedly trust them with my guy. (If you know me your jaw would drop reading that) I'm extremely sad to see the reviews posted about this establishment. The nasty insults are uncalled for and completely unnecessary. I don't know the owner personally but I know her staff and they are amazing people who love what they do! First of all I've worked in the dog care industry myself for 12 plus years. I openly admit some of my jobs were not to my standards of animal care but at the time I was young and completely new to the industry. For starters I find it nothing but positive the staff reached out for early pick up of a dog that was in danger of being hurt by another dog for in appropriate play. MOST DAYCARES WILL CRATE YOUR DOG ALL DAY LONG, CHARGE YOU FULL PRICE NEVER SAYING A WORD!! Just FYI. As well as I know this owner to evaluate these dogs and have routine schedules for them so they are not exposed to other dogs they may clash with. There are few other daycares that do this willingly. As for the bite wound I cannot imagine an establishment ever pointing out an injury bringing it to your attention if they had any plans of hiding it in any way... just silliness. They are dogs people! Poop happens, they don't always get along. Why would they lie?? I pay all my classes with my credit card which includes tax so I have a feeling this guy doesn't know who he just reviewed because it wasn't here. We LOVE my dogs place and will continue to support a great place full of happy dogs and caring staff!

You thought you did everything right by giving your dog so much love and socialization only to now be faced with questions and comments like " why didn't you just train your dog ?" , " you're not the alpha to your dog", " you shouldn't be a dog owner" on a regular basis. I have a 6 year old boxer ( the social , goofy clowns of the dog breeds) . I've worked with dogs in the past as a kennel attendant, and grown up with dogs my entire life and never thought I would be in this situation . I struggled to find a trainer whose techniques showed progress which lead to inconsistency, a lot of frustration and doubt . Eventually taking him places like the vet and groomer caused me such extreme anxiety. When I met Tom , my dog was unapproachable by strangers , including Tom initially. It took a month or so of meeting up , going on walks and practicing techniques at home but I was seeing improvement! Not long after Tom was able to take the leash from me and walk Gus, and we could walk near other people without Gus acting like a total maniac , lunging , barking and snapping. It was like he was a normal (ish) dog . Gus is 6 , so it will be a slow process to break him out of this behavior , but he has improved so much in the last 6 months .. I never thought I would get this far. I still have my work cut out for me but this training has also helped me increase my confidence as a dog owner and learn to trust my dog again. I'm not longer so nervous to take him out on walks because I feel like I'm in control.( Holding back an 80 pound boxer is not an easy task ) . I definitely recommend Tom if you are struggling with a similar situation. It probably has been the best thing I have ever done for Gus!
