    This is a nice enough Petsmart. I went here to visit the Banfield vet which I found to have a wonderful staff and doctors. They spent quality time with my two dogs and seemed to truly care for their well being. This was my first experience at a Banfield and hope the rest are as nice.

    I have been in multiple times with my Shih Tzu and only twice with my Chow. Though I can't complain about issues in the past, my most recent visit has me thinking twice, and currently looking for another groomer. Long story short the issue was with my Chow, I paid for the Bath with furminator PLUS, ran me about $100. Prior to booking the appointment I read online the description of services so I knew which service would be best for my Chow. I drop them off and 4 hours later I received a call that they were ready. (No issue with the wait, Chows take a VERY long time to dry so I expected that). My issue was when I showed up to pick him up the lady who greeted me instantly told me "Next time you book you should really book with a groomer and get his sanitary areas trims". Now my issue was his was listed as INCLUDED with the bath prior to booking the appt (I knew this needed to be trimmed). I told her that I was fairly certain it was included and she told me "nope! Next time book with a groomer". (Lets be clear, I didn't request ANYONE, I booked services so if I needed a groomer to do what should have been included then THEY should have booked it with a groomer?). I walked away to go pay and looked up the services while paying....I was correct. Sanitary trim, feet /pads trim and ears were all included in the $100 service I was paying for. After paying I walked back over to the grooming area where I could now see my dog. NOTHING trimmed. His feet were a mess, she already told me they didn't do the sanitary areas and I assumed the ears hadn't been touched at this point. I showed her the service listing where it clearly stated everything that should have been included. This is where the real issue began. She completely dismisses me and tells me "Okay, great, next time book with a groomer." I told her it was a lot of money for me to already have spent and asked "how would I know who I have to book with, I booked a service, a service that includes XY&Z". She just tells me again, "yup, well next time you should call and try and book with a groomer." At this point I'm ready to ask for a manager, I paid for a service...it needs to be done. Luckily a groomer overheard and stepped in and said she would take care of it. She explained that often dogs who need just baths don't need trims as well. And though I totally understand that concept...it IS included in the service and if the dog does require it, don't tell me to come back and pay again. I appreciated the groomer who stepped in, that's why there is an additional star. And again, in the past I have had no issues with my Shih Tzu. However the ten min back and forth with the rude girl dismissing me even AFTER I showed her what I paid for. She is the sole issue why I don't feel comfortable returning there.

    Renee is fantastic, such a great manager. I had an issue and he was quick to resolve and remedy. By far, a phenomenal experience.

    Bigger than the nearby Petco but just as overpriced. You tend to get better sales here though. The need more stuff for cats!

    Banfield hospital is a rip off. Never ever will I take my dogs there. Don't care about dog just adding up my charge

She followed meal plan I wanted to keep the puppy on. She made sure she was warm in her winter clothes for hikes. And kept all her belongings clean and organized. Ria taught us tools that were invaluable - how to understand our dog's body language, how to snap her out of her reactivity, how to socialize her properly with other dogs and more! Ria also provided us endless tools such as various collars and leashes so that we were able to try different ones in our different sessions to find the one that helped us the most. Prior to training our dog, had a lot of anxiety around other dogs and was quite reactive. Now that we have understood her body cues, how to handle her with the proper tools like our leash and collar, our dog is living a totally different life. We can take her off leash and know she will obey to her commands/ listen. This has opened our dogs, horizons, and our horizons to new adventures like hikes, new dog friends, and more. Scheduling with Ria could not be easier. She was extremely flexible and communicative. We knew if we reached out with any questions during our training process she would respond right away with a text or a call. She consistently gave us feedback on how we were doing our homework as well and gave us tips and tricks along the way she really adjusts her training style per dog and her expertise truly shines. We could not thank Ria enough for all of her training and would recommend her to anyone !

Although I moved away last year in 2017 and my…read moreprecious Emma passed away suddenly and unexpectedly in 2015 I still highly recommend Chris and Dog Guard. When Emma was less than a year old she was running to and from the neighbor's house where I was chasing after her constantly. The final straw was the day that she came in contact with her future boyfriend Tully boy. I did not know that Tully boy was harmless at the time but it scared me enough that I ran all the way home and went right for the Yellow Pages. LITERALLY. True story. It was then that I had an opportunity to talk to Chris and about a week later he installed the invisible fence by Dog Guard around my 2-acre property. He also installed the monitor in the flower beds and in one room inside (where I fed the cats). The training only needed to be done once because the second time Emma wanted no part of it... She took one look at Chris and ran in the other direction.... Which means she got it from GetGo LOL not that I'm laughing really because it's sad to see your dog get zapped for the first time. But she never got zapped again. Once those yellow flags are up the dog wants no part of trying to go through them. Emma would always stay 5 to 10 feet away. Needless to say she never went through it except one time when I was on my bicycle and drove past the end of the driveway down the street. At that time though she didn't have the collar on. In her defense she was just probably a nervous wreck not wondering where I was going so she took the risk. She never wore the collar after about the first 6 months. She didn't need to. Most dogs don't. The first thing I will be doing is calling Chris to install another invisible fence after I get my next home and before I get my next dog. Note: over the years of having my dog fence I needed revisions from time to time because when I was cutting the hedges I sometimes accidentally cut the wires and Chris would have to come back. So really, he kind of became a family friend and a trustworthy source.

She had completely unrealistic expectations of me to pick up the dog, adding anywhere from $800-$1100 in flight cost and then expecting me to drive seven hours to the middle of Florida for a more reasonable flight. She also offered the service of her daughter for a cost, and then reneged on that option. I only got involved because she was a friend of my sister's sorry to say. I felt totally scammed. And when I expressed my feelings to the daughter. She said I was harassing her. Great customer service not. And then on top of that threaten to charge me extra for boarding and food. Totally unethical. I never had that experience working with a breeder usually they were more concerned about the home. their puppies were going to rather than speed of delivery. WHAT GOOD IS A DISCOUNT IF YOU DONT HAVE THE DOG!!!!! Talk is cheap cooperation goes a long way. And PS you contacted me. Look around I'm not the only negative review. I just hope that pup gets a nice home. And how completely horrible to speak of someone's dead relative, this certainly shows your lack of professionalism, ignorance, and dysfunction. When I made the decision to purchase the pup it was 8:45 PM on Saturday 6/14. I had not talked to my friend yet, but thought maybe she would be able to help me, unfortunately she had former plans. Besides that I live alone and had to find a pet sitter if I went anywhere on a minutes notice, and there were several other factors to consider to my not being able to jump immediately. That you never disclosed such urgency, was completely inappropriate and certainly changed our agreement. It was never mentioned in the contract that you sent me the next day. Last month, I inquired about the dog and decided no since I was dealing with an elderly Doberman with heart issues, that had some pretty hefty vet bill. So not to discuss but immediately threatened to increase expenses on the puppy purchase did not feel justifiable or amicable. Driving seven hours round-trip and several hours in the dark with a new puppy after 10 hours in the airport was not a reasonable choice for me. Also, I was willing to pay for the dog in FULL, before even picking her up. You can your justify your behavior anyway you want but a reasonable breeder would've worked out a solution that was doable for both parties. So basically you and stole my $50. Say what you want this is a Despicable act and almost as despicable as talking about someone's deceased sister on a posting regarding a business transaction. Absolutely horrific !!! Keep the $50 and put it towards some business coaching and maybe some therapy. You're a thief and not a nice person. Leave me alone or I'll report you.
