I took my cat up for adoption at the store on Milwaukee (store #1822). No one was there to take the cats. The manager unlocked the door, I put my cat in the display on Sunday and went to pick her up Monday. After getting the run around from petsmart employees, the Lubbock Animal Services, and the West Texas Humane Society (the place allowing me to put my cat up for adoption through petsmart) I found out Wednesday that my cat was killed at Lubbock Animal Services because she was petsmart said that she was a "feral cat". I am told that she was sent away because they had no shot records for her, and it is company policy not to keep a cat without records. I was told that the records were sent to this petsmart (a mistake on both my part and the humane society). However, if this is company policy, why was I not asked for paperwork when I dropped her off? Less than 24 hours after she was dropped off, she was dead. The worst part is she had a microchip that no one checked. I accept responsibility for not leaving my phone number or a shot record, but a means to leave information would have been very nice. It would have taken just a moment for a petsmart employee to write down a number. No one asked and I made a fatal assumption. read more

Where do I start? Took my daughters 2 dogs for a simple bath, nail trim, etc. I gave two contact phone numbers. I was very specific about what I wanted. Waited over 3 hours, no phone call. Finally drove over there, and it went from bad to worse. Grooming salon attendant completely ignored us while on what turned into an extended phone call. When we asked what procedures were done, no one could answer and there was no written report as had been done on every previous occasion. I did notice on the bill I was charged for a furminator treatment for one dog which I DID NOT request! We had it done on a previous visit, but I specifically told them what I wanted THIS TIME! I never said furminator! The staff was downright rude and condescending! As if we weren't mad enough, when I get home from my daughters house I discovered they had called and left a message on my Home answering machine almost 30 miles away! Why did they not call one of the two numbers I told them to call!! Our dogs were there over an hour after they were finished because they called the wrong number!!' Seriously need someone to manage this place that actually listens to customers and understands customer service! read more

If I could leave a review without leaving a star I would! Took our 2 dogs in to be groomed but only one got her hair trimmed . We were charged $27 for just a shampoo. They kept them both for 5 hours! If you can't groom them both or can just do one, call and we can pick them up. The one that that didn't receive a haircut is old but was told that before hand. Plus she's a regular. Andrea was the groomer( supposedly) but she won't be anymore! Very poor policy of keeping a dog for 5 hours if you don't plan on doing what you were hired to do!! read more

Went for the 1st time to use our free puppy bath coupon I got when I purchased the puppy kit they offer. We had an appointment at 4pm today. Being that it was our 1st time in their grooming salon I specifically asked for whatever service is included in that free offer-no more. I'm a huge penny pincher & try to save whenever I can & wanted to just trial this place & thought what better way than the coupon. My puppy was skittish & it took her about 5 minutes to warm up to the girl who was helping us at the grooming counter. She said since was anxious she'd do a quick bath & get her out asap. I said fine & walked around the store. I picked her up, said thank you & the girl gave me an invoice & wished me a good day. When I get to the register I find out I was charged for "express service." I disputed it & explained we literally just got a bath & I made sure to mention I only wanted what was included in the coupon. The cashier calls a supervisor (I'm assuming) over & he confers with the salon who says they charged because my dog was skittish & nipping. This was news to me that she nipped or that I would be charged for her being anxious & it was never mentioned when I picked my dog up. They then explained that the charge is for the quick service we were given because of her temperament & having to put her in front of other dogs that were waiting. Hmm. How so when we had an appointment at 4? They tried offering me 50% off. I then asked to return to the salon to go talk to the people who "helped" me there. I returned with the supervisor behind me & discussed the issue with them personally. An older woman instructed them to remove the charge & after about 5 more minutes at the register they finally did. My puppy is still being socialized & introduced to new experiences. She is fearful & slightly aggressive at first but warms up to people eventually & usually doesn't take her too long. When I handed her over she was scared but not aggressive & I never witnessed her nip or bite when she was still in my presence. This was extremely poor customer service to not explain charges properly or ahead of time & to not honor what the customer requests. When I said I was there ONLY for the free puppy bath I literally meant that. I will not ever return for any grooming services & they're probably fine with that anyway seeing as how my puppy was too much to handle. I'd rather deal with professionals in that case anyway. read more

Entering store I was greeted by a foul odor that permeated the entire store. I had to ask three different people to help find an item. Two told me to look online and order it. One told me if it wasn't on the shelf they were out. I found it myself. Stood inline while three male employees goofed around, joked, and dared each other to do things. Finally I interrupted and said we were ready to check out. Checker continued interacting with other employees. Zero eye contact or communication with me. Informed me to answer the question on the screen. I did so and waited. Finally I interrupted his conversation to tell him he needed to do something to finalize the sale. He punched buttons and I paid. Gladly left the odor and zero service behind. Will dive further to other store. Hopefully these employees will not get transferred to the other store when the odor and poor service shuts this store down. read more

I highly recommend the Pet Hotel. I'm very picky, and was not impressed 3 or so years ago. A friend swore they had changed, so l tried again. I couldn't be more impressed! Fantastic establishment, and up graded facilities made me happy. Seeing my dog happy and wiped out from playing, made me want to go back. Well done guys! read more

This place is horrible. I used to get my fish here from Trevor "the fish guy." Since he left, the Petcare section has gone down the drain. Dirty tanks with sick dying fish and a staff that has no idea what their doing. I will not be returning! read more

We took training there and one of our classes got canceled (which we didn't know until we showed up for class) and we called multiple times the days after our class was canceled and left messages for when the make up class was going to be scheduled. No one ever called us back and we ended up missing the make up class and graduation and no one ever notified us! No one was answering our calls so we went up to the store to talk to the trainer and she made up the class we missed then she just hands us the diploma without even doing the test to see if our dogs knows the commands. Doesn't seem like they care about their jobs, their customers, or the animals. read more

We have used this facility several times to board our small dog both for daily camp and several extended days. The staff here seems very engaged with the animals and keeps the facility very clean. Every worker we have come in contact with always makes us feel like a valuable customer and more importantly they all seem to love our pet. The price is a tad steep but we feel very comfortable with the price. read more

Pet Smart Grooming is always helpful. We use Joseph because he always tries to work us in and take good care of our maltese, Annie. This is helpful since we live out of town. Annie loves to go. Joseph even came in one time just to do her on his day off. read more

I had an awful experience boarding my two dogs at the PetHotel. I paid for two separate rooms since my dogs can become aggressive around food and toys, particularly in an unfamiliar, stressful environment (I clearly indicated this on the paperwork I filled out). While out of town, I got a call letting me know that my dogs had been in a fight. One was taken to the vet for treatment and put on antibiotics. I asked why they were placed in the same room and the employee told me that is what I had signed up for (not true according to the amount of money I paid). My receipt clearly indicated that I paid for separate rooms and individual play times. When I picked my dogs up, they failed to give me the antibiotics. I asked about them and the employee said my dog didn't have any antibiotics. When the employee checked again, she found the meds. Feeling like somethings fishy was going on, I counted the number of pills in the bottle and compared to the number that should be left given the dosage and number of days my dog should have been taking them. According to my count, my dog had not been given several doses of the medication. When I went back to complain, they could not find the paperwork I filled out for my dogs and started searching through a huge mess of papers. They also could not show me the record for when my dog was given her medication. I do not recommend that anyone board their pet here. They gave me a full refund, but that does not make up for their lack of organization and neglect of my dogs' well-being. I hope that this was a one time occurrence... but I am doubtful. read more
