I have been taking my dog to pet smart for years but last time I took her I was very disappointed. A few months back. They called me saying that they have students wanting to practice under their supervision with a discount price, so I took her and they did a pretty good job, and then I recently took her and I'm guessing those students were now able to groom my dog without anyone assisting them, because I have never seen the person who groomed my dog.I usually go to a random person person every time, and I don't have issues, but this time I did. They cut her on her neck and on her leg and failed to informed me that they cut her accident or not. I didn't realize until I got home, and I will not be taking her back to Petsmart ever again. My dog was literally shaking when she left, and when I would try to put her in the car days after she would start shaking. (I'm guessing she thought she was going back to the groomers)I don't know what they did to my dog, but she was most definitely traumatized. Very disappointed. read more

I usually don't have any issues and have been taking my dogs to be groomed at this location for the last 6 years. I set up an appointment online for 9/3 to have my dog groomed. I didn't see the young ladies' name that has groomed my dog the last 2 times so I randomly chose someone else. On Monday, 08/31, I had a missed call from an unknown number and then received a text right after stating my appointment for grooming on 9/3 had been cancelled. The unknown number was from PetSmart and they left a voicemail informing me that I would have to reschedule because the groomer would not be available that day. So I called the number back and it was explained to me that they only had one groomer. So I was rescheduled for 09/22. I needed something sooner so I ended up going to their competitor to get my dog groomed. I went back on the website to try and cancel my appointment for 09/22 but I didn't see an option to cancel it. But what I did see was appointment times available for the same week I had set up my original appointment. Sure enough there was only one groomer to choose from on those available appointments. My concern is if I scheduled an appointment for the beginning of the month and it needed to be rescheduled, why not reschedule it for the next available day instead of rescheduling it for weeks out? Because of that, I had to go to another company to get my dog groomed sooner and now you have lost a customer. read more

I wish I could give zero stars for the most recent customer service experience. I purchased some angel fish at 8:30pm. They looked a little finicky but I still gave them a try. The fish came in the store the same day as I purchased so I understand about the stress. Both fish died before the next morning. Called the store, the manager was nice and stated to bring the fish back, no problems. I get to the store and the other fish in the tank of the fish I purchased were dead in the tank. I stated to another staff member that I purchased fish from that tank and they died. She was inexperienced and provided false information about PetSmart policy needing water testing and nitrates. They also refused to sell me additional fish and her reason was because the fish we were returning died in the tank. I asked to speak to the manager, she told me the manager left the store for lunch and there was no other manager in the store. At that point, I just asked for a refund because I was tried of the runaround, she finally complied. All I wanted to do was exchange the fish as stated in petsmart policy. Below is how I got my dogs: I received a phone call at 11:23 thinking my puppies were done. Apparently they were not! The lady called to inform me that both Tori & Creed were utilizing the bathroom. On the grooming table, due to them urinating they were not able to finish their full cut. She said she'll try again, if no change they will have to cancel. The associate calls me back 20 mins later. Saying that they're yet utilizing the bathroom, again! After that I spoke with a store manager, Alisha is what she told me her name was. Claimed she witnessed it herself, that both of my dogs were utilizing the bathroom while getting groomed. I begin to inform Alisha: This is not their only time being groomed, so I know something is up now. I get to the PetSmart to not find not one, but both of my dogs have been butchered. Then when I asked why would you even begin to cut them if you can't finish. The associate gets smart yet again now while I'm in person. Ok, I asked for the manager again. Alisha comes out and I asked her nicely, is this how you send your animals home to their owners. She begin to say no, but that's how we're sending yours home today. Lol ok. Clearly, PetSmart must've not done their job cross referencing who they hire/train to be a managers/store leaders or even how to properly groom. My dog, Zoe is the sweetest dog you could ever imagine. She is a Groomer's dream because she's so passive and sweet. Yet when I took her to the Petsmart on Paxton Drive in Lilburn, the groomer shaved her ears and body completely down, which made her so upset the haircut couldn't be completed. I just had an incredibly unpleasant customer service experience with the PetSmart Lilburn GA store's grooming salon. I had 2 dogs in need of a bath. I made an appointment for both of them. After making the appointment I realized one of the dogs needed to go to Banfield ("the vet") because of anal gland issues (she very recently had them expressed but continued to "butt surf"/scoot). I called the grooming salon, explained this, and the representative I spoke with was super helpful. I was asked if my dog was getting shots at the vet. I explained no she didn't need shots and just needed anal gland attention. I was told this would not be a problem. Once she was done at the vet, the grooming salon could then take her for the bath. I was told as long as the Banfield folks finished up with her before 7pm the grooming salon could handle the bath. On the day of the appointment I called because I was running late and again the representative who answered my call was incredibly helpful. I arrived and dropped one dog off for grooming. I explained that I was the customer who called in and was going to take the other dog to Banfield. Once I dropped the second dog off at the vet I came back to the grooming salon to complete the necessary paperwork. I also explained I wanted to pay for the dog's baths in advance because I had arranged for someone else to pick them up. I was told I could only pay for the dog currently in the salon. (Up to this point all interactions were pleasant.) Once the second dog was done at the vet I called to let the grooming salon know. I was told they could not take the second dog because I had not filled out paperwork. I was baffled because no one mentioned this during all the discussion of transferring the dog from the vet to the grooming salon. In addition, when I explained I needed to pay in advance this could have been explained but it wasn't. I called back and tried to arrange to have the authorized person who was picking up the dogs also sign the paperwork to allow the 2nd dog to have a bath. The grooming salon representative (JESSICA) who answered the call identified herself as the person who had previously spoken with me via phone and in person. She was angry and proceeded to argue with me about the facts of the situation. When I said at this point I just wanted to have the same person who was picking up the dogs come down and sign the one page form/document needed to authorize a bath JESSICA told me, "she did not feel comfortable" and basically would not help any further. She gave me the option to speak with a manager and then proceeded to put me on an extremely long hold. (I could go on with a few more details but this review is already far too long.) Overall it was an awful customer service experience. A simple miscommunication/misunderstanding that could have been easily resolved was not. When the dogs were picked up -- one from Banfield and the other from the grooming salon -- JESSICA reiterated to the authorized person picking up the dogs (who had no knowledge of the details of the situation and made no mention of having the second dog bathed) her refusal to assist with the second dog's bath. If I could I would give a negative star review to explain how dissatisfied I was with this experience. read more

Beyond upset with the customer service and product quality. Purchased two litter boxes for pickup. Got them home to find they were both very cracked and unusable. Called store, couldn't get through. Called customer service and filed formal complaint, manager never called. Finally got through after calling every day for three days and manager said to come exchange. I pack up both of small children to make my second trip this week and drive 30 minutes to get to the store and they don't have my item in stock. The closest thing is double the price!! A decent store manager who cares about customer service would have given me a comparable item despite the price to remedy the fact that they sold me two broken items! On July 4th, I took my precious chihuahua, Paris Chanel Jefferson here to get a basic grooming....wash, nails trimming, anal cleansing...etc. the service wash great. Everyone in there is so friendly!!!! I love the customer service every time I visit. They even gave her a cute bow that had a picture of the Eiffel Tower on it. They're sooo sweet. The groomers at this PetSmart were OUTSTANDING! My puppy is newly adopted and I chose to wait two weeks before having her groomed. She is very friendly but also hyper so I had some concerns. The grooming staff were extremely patient, attentive and kind to my baby girl. We did a basic nail filing and face trim and Sugar left looking like the little Diva I knew she was under that extra fur. Everyone gave me helpful tips on working with her from various obedience classes offered at the store to nearby dog parks in the community. Both Sugar and I left extremely satisfied. read more

Took my long-haired dachshund to PetSmart grooming today.. he was a beautiful dog with 4" long feathers.. I asked for a bath and nail clip and when I picked the dog up all his feathers were GONE!!!!!! and the groomer said he didn't cut anything!!! I've been shopping at this PetSmart for years. The sales people are very knowledgeable, honest and so very helpful. They will go out of their way to help me figure out the best item for my cats and dogs. I took my rescued dog to training at the location on Paxton right off hwy 78. Hillary, the trainer, is AMAZING. She helped me realize that both my dog and I are in training. Years later, she still asks about my dog and how we are doing. read more

Brought my pup in on Monday for a grooming including a shave nail trim bath the whole works. I noticed later that they did not clean his face as I had asked them to and there were areas on his body that they did not shave down with the rest. I brought him back today for them to complete the grooming properly and when I went back to pick him up the groomer said that he was wild that he tried to bite him and things like that which are not true my dog does not bite. When I went to get him his face still was not done and the groomer said that he couldn't handle him on the table and I told him to try again I stayed in there and watched. he put my dog up on the table and was able to groom him without the dog trying to bite or squirming a lot or anything like that. When I got him home I noticed blood on both his paws and it turns out that apparently in shaving him or clipping him I'm not sure which he managed to cut into his nail which caused bleeding. The nail involved was in the same area the 2nd groomer had to work on to get rid of the unwanted hair that was not taken care of in the first place. In fact, when the vet looked at it, it appeared that the nail is gone - with the bleeding coming from the bare nailbed. Again, his nails were supposed to have been cut down when I originally took him in. Therefore, since I took him directly home from there, and there was suddenly blood all over his paws, the only logical cause was that it was caused by the groomer. I wound up taking him to my vet who then charged me $144 to take care of the problem. He has now got one of those collars of shame on his head and was also given an injection for the pain. My vet said they neglected to cut either of those side nails - so she cut the remaining one down. I called PetSmart and advised them of this issue and they said I should have brought him back for their vet to look at. I told her he was never coming back to their facility. She's going to check with upper management to see what can be done about my vet bill. Do not - I repeat do not - bring your dog or puppy to that PetSmart on Paxton Lane and 78. Unfortunately I had to give a 1 star rating just to be able to post this. I would have given a -10 if it was possible. read more

The Petsmart veterinary clinic at the location on Hwy 78 are compassionate and give good care. I recently made the difficult decision to have my sweet girl cat Brownie euthanized due to kidney failure. The entire veterinary team was sensitive to our needs and made sure our girl was treated with the dignity she deserved. Prior to her death, the vet team also gave her great care. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for great pet care at a fair price. read more

Horrifying experience. Went to get my 6 year old German shepherd's nails clipped for the first time, when I told the woman at the desk(who seemed high by the way) that it was his first time, she looked at me crazy like I was a terrible person for never doing it before. Then she repeated it like 3 times after that he's six and has never gotten it done before to the other staff. I don't know what the big deal is. He was an outside dog most his life, now he's an inside dog so I'm trying it out. Well I'm never doing it again because they put the dogs in this head lock harness thing and then tighten it aggressively to where they literally can not move their head, my dog was freaking out. I never thought that would be part of the procedure seeing as he willingly got up into the platform and was very calm and sweet for them until they put him in this harness. They wouldn't let me stand next to him to calm him down. But I could stand 5 feet away and watch as my dog is terrified? Nah. Never again. The staff didn't seem to like their jobs at all. read more

I went to this petsmart a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday March 13, 2016 with a scheduled appointment that was done by phone a week ago. Once I arrived the rude Lady Nadine in grooming could not find my appointment and also stated she could not see my dog since she couldn't find the appointment in the system. Furthermore. I brought my dog shot records and she couldn't understand his shot records and asked for assistance stating his rabies shots were expired when I just got his rabies shot in January 2015. A Co worker informed her that we were fine and that was not an expiration date to go ahead and take me. With that being said, Nadine is very argumentative toward the customers and gives bad customer service and has a negative attitude. I let my dog stay feeling guilty that I should have rescheduled his appointment in another location. I will not be taking my dog back there as long as she is working there. So sad, she does not know a lot about grooming and she makes you feel uncomfortable! read more
