State Line Tack refuses to cancel non-shipped orders! Placed order & website stated it would ship in 4-6 days. Then I got an email saying that it would be 7-14 days. 14 days after placing the order, I got an email saying it would ship the following week--3 weeks from date of initial order. Wrote them requesting order be cancelled--no response. Called customer service at two week mark to cancel--they said it had shipped, then I told them that their email that same morning said a ship date a week from today. They stammered & said they would email the warehouse, but there was no guarantee that the order would be cancelled. What kind of business cannot cancel an order when notified by the customer? Any online business will cancel an order if it has not been shipped! State Line Tack seems to have shady business practices if they will not cancel an order that has not shipped! My advice: order from another company that has reasonable customer service and honest shipping policies! read more

Took my dog to get groomed and he was shedding so much afterwards. Also, the grooming receptionist named Haley was very unprofessional and rude, I took my dog back to get brushed again the same day and she still had an attitude. Ordered a halter for my new horse. I measured my old halter every way possible and ordered the size they said would fit. Ave. sized horse, 800-1000 pounds. Shipping wasn't great, but I've had worse. When it came, it was way too big and no adjustments. They said I would have to pay for shipping and pay the restocking fee since I opened it. I would get about $5.00 back. This review is for PET HOTELS ONLY: First off let me start by saying that the staff was "OK" upon checking in on Saturday since it was the first time we have ever been to one of these I asked to see the place and was told to look through the glass because that's all they could let me see. OK fine... After checking in I waited a little while and was watching the monitor where I saw an employee lift its leg at a dog and the dog took off. Could I tell 100% if he kicked the dog, NO , but I was concerned you bet your bottom dollar on that. I told the person that came back out and they were like oh he was most likely just shooing it away... I am like yea OK with his foot. Even with this I had no choice but to leave my dog here for today. This was 10:30AM. We arrived back at 5:30 to pick her up only to find out that she has spent the last few hours in a Kennel... What a KENNEL? This is supposed to be a play camp where they play and interact with other dogs! Just like our place we use at home. So apparently Petsmarts' policy on the Pets Hotels is that the day consists of "Play" "Kennel" "Play" "Kennel" "kennel" "Play" "Kennel". Not to mention this place based on the rooms I saw are really only 20x20 at the MOST (400sqf) and I think they have 3 of them also it looks like they have enough kennels for every dog though! This place really is a disappointment when it comes to a day care for dogs. I would rather have paid the extra money to board my dog for 2 nights at a place at home then put my dog through this. Day two they had a little redeeming attitude for me as she knew right away who my dog was and put her name tag on her. (This could have been because of the kicking thing the day before.) The dog went right in and based on the camera looks like she ended up in a kennel. Upon arrival to pick the dog up at 3:00 again watching that monitor I did not see my dog. Come to find out she was acting "rough" with a lab and she was being cleaned up. I have a hard time with this as she just plays with these dogs and have been for months so this leads me to believe that she spent more time in a KENNEL! read more

Review for the Pet Hotel: This was the second time we left our two dogs for the weekend (upgraded to a suite) there and they had play time and a bath. The first time we had no issues at all and our dogs seemed to enjoy it their the second time after picking the up we found fleas on them. We called and told them that they came home with fleas the girl I talked to actually was the one that gave them a bath and said she didnt see any on them the night before when they were bathed. I let her know that some how between the bath and the time I picked them up they picked up feas and brought them home. (Never had flea before that and we are ver careful to make sure they dont get them and bring them home) We were offered nothing not even a free flea bath or anything. So that added to our expense to clean our house and tream both dogs for fleas. Would have been nice to get more than a simple sorry after spending 200 bucks for the weekend. Both dogs seem a little skiddish since being there the last time. I really wish they had cameras or something that I could check on them from time to time. Maybe its just me but we have a hard time trusting people with are dogs they are like kids to us. Not sure if we will board them again at the hotel. read more

My border collie/spaniel mix dog was in need of a good grooming - she loves to run in the woods and had burrs and knots all over! I was able to book an appointment for the very next day, which was way quicker than other private groomers. Krista did a fantastic job - she is now squeaky clean with a nice trim - she clipped off just the right amount without making her long haired coat look choppy. I will definitely book Krista again, great job! read more

Review for Groomers, Doggie Day Camp, Training: We have had great experiences with these 3 areas. Our puppy wags his tale as soon as we get in the parking lot. We use the day camp in the winter about once a week since we cant get out on long walks or dog parks. We asked many questions, asked for specifics and observed. What we found was helpful and friendly people who made our puppy feel welcome and happy. Our trainer, Beth, was great and remembers us each time we come in. She is always ready to help answer any questions. I would recommend using the grooming services rather than add-ons at the Day Camp area. I tried having them clip his nails once and it wasn't a good experience. The next time I asked for the groomers to do it and it was much better. read more

State Line Tack has a great selection of products with competitive pricing. Shipping is an absolute NIGHTMARE. I bought a new horse and am getting back into riding so I needed to order a ton of stuff. I placed an order thinking the horse will arrive in 12 days so I'll be good. The order was placed on July 11 and had not shipped within a week. I called their customer service and was informed they only pack/ship orders quickly that pay for expedited delivery. So, even though the delivery days of how long it will take to receive your items are posted they do not call out they pack/prioritize all priority shipments. If the web site would have clearly stated we will not even pack your order to ship for two full weeks unless you pay for expedited shipping, I would have done that. Furthermore, she told me there was nothing she could do to help expedite. I just had to wait. It has been 14 days since I placed the order and it still hasn't shipped. I WILL NEVER order from Stateline Tack again. I have since placed orders with Smart Pak, Dover, and Valley Vet. All packages arrived within a couple of days with no expedited anything. In this day and age, you can't have horrible customer service and shipping practices and expect to stay in business. read more

This was a terrible experience. Save your money and take your pup elsewhere. Here I go! On August 26th (Wednesday), I dropped off my pup at the Lancaster Petsmart Hotel for a 4 day stay. First, let me start by mentioning that there was no one in the lobby when I arrived :) I waited for someone to come greet me and check her in so I can get on my way. The lady that was helping me asked me for her vaccination records, I said I did not bring them because they were suppose to get them faxed over from Banfield. She said, well.. I could call over to get them or... I can just walk over? We both stood there and look at each other for 10 seconds before she realized that I was not going to be the one to walk over to the vaccination records. Anyways, my pup was checked in, we reviewed specifics care plan and off I went on my getaway. This is where things gets weird! On Thursday morning, I called to see how her first night away from me went and no answer. I figured a morning with so many pups is no easy task, I shall call later. Mid day I tried again and this time someone answered, a guy (I won't mention any names). I asked how she was doing and without any hesitation he responded with oh she's doing great! I said oh really that's awesome, can you tell me more? He replies, yes she uses her scratch board a lot and enjoys it and eats all her food. I responded, scratch board? why would my shih tzu use a scratch board? Hmm yes you guess it! He never pulled up her chart and was just rambling on whatever came to his head. He was giving me report about a cat when I have a dog :( Sad huh. But it gets better. I called Friday and Saturday and everyday I was told that she had eaten her food. Now even I know that she doesn't ALL her food, but OK. One of my biggest concern with her staying at a boarding, was the issue with her long hair getting matted, therefore he suggested for her to get a "Exit bath and brush" to make sure she will be all clean and pretty for me upon pick up" . Now lets fast forward to pick up day (Sunday). I arrived at 11am so excited to see cause I tell you I missed her soo much! When he brought her out to me, I wanted to CRY! She looked like an alley dog. She was somewhat wet, barely combed through, no ponytails done with her hair all over the place. All he could say was that the girl that gave her a bath attempted to go her hair as best as she could. Are you kidding me? My granddaughters can do a better job combing her hair. Then I was given the bill, $147.02! Yes, that's right. My dog looks like total crap. I dropped off my pup looking like Paris Hilton and they gave her back to me looking like Lindsey Lohan on crack. I just wanted to get out of there. I get home and notice he never gave me her food container back so I send my so to pick it up. Remember up above you read that she ate ALL her food?? Funny, her container was the same level as when I dropped it off. I called Customer Service to report this as this is not the way anyone should be treated. The manager did call me and said he will rectify the situation and offset the cost of boarding with a gift card that he will send to my address. Did ya want to know how much that gift card was? A whopping $40.00. That is just crazy. I used PetsMart boarding 11 years ago and had no issues but clearly times have changed and their customer service lacks. I need to know that they are taken care of so when I'm away they need to feel like they are on vacation as well. I hope this open your eyes as well. Think about it before taking your pup there. Don't do it. Even if it's for day camp, I witness the staff just sitting there playing on their phones while the dogs are playing with themselves. A day later, they sent an email saying they no longer carry the hoop but they shipped the net (which I do not need without the hoop) AND charged me $6.99 shipping. When I called customer service to get it rectified, the "customer service" agent accused me of blaming her personally and being disrespectful. No profanity and I did not raise my voice. It is now April 28th and I do not have a refund to date. I have called 3 times and have once been told they will look into it and call me back. No call back. I wanted to spread my purchases outside of Amazon so I purchased on March 24; received a notice my product had shipped April 8 and finally contacted them on April 20 to inquire and I was informed that they had cancelled my order and that they had no further information on whether they would carry my product. We just took our dog in for a pawdicure plus. He has had this done many times at this store with no problem. I picked him up to be told they didn't grind his front paws because he didn't like it. I'm going to be honest and start off by saying that I dislike the Petsmart company. Overtime they started to care less and less about their animals and more and more about money. They house animals in poor conditions, have numerous lawsuits against them for animal abuse and guess what? They don't care. At all. This petsmart specifically I've had issues with for a long tome. For starters, they had cats and rabbits in metal cages right by the front door during the middle of winter. In Pennsylvania. When it was 20 degrees and below outside. They didn't have any protection from the wind and cold- besides the metal cages they were in an a warm out, useless blanket- and then the management would start to wonder why their cats and rabbits are sick and why no one wanted to adopt them. News flash: you are keeping social animals in cages 24/7, in possibly the coldest area of the entire building. I've talked to the management and to employees multiple times and no one did anything about it until I voiced my opinion on Twitter and the company had the management move the animals over a few feet. Awesome! Not. Sure, they might be as cold, but they're still forced to stay in a cage 24/7 and have no protection against the idiots who think it's appropriate to allow their dogs and children to run up to the cages and scare the animals. Ontop of that situation, Petsmart is horrible when it comes to fish care. The house aggressive and semi aggressive fish together and leave dead fish to rot in the tanks without proper filtration. Last tome I went, they had about 15 dwarf gourami males in a tank without any hiding spots or depression for the injured and aggressive ones. Fun fact! Dwarf Gourami males can be as aggressive as male Betta Fish. Oh, and you know those betta fish they keep in cups on the shelves? Yeah, Petsmart is now known as the pet store that abuses their animals for no reason. I asked a Petsmart employee, who said she often works in the fish section, how often the fish in the cups get fed, and her response was 'once or twice a month'. It doesn't take a genius to figure out why that's horrible, does it? Not even going into the details of why their bird and rodent section is horrible, I think it's safe to say that Petsmart has no clue what they're doing. Sure, you can room a bunch of birds together for a short period of time, but you know what would be great? If they actually got fed and had water in their bowls. This goes for all of their animals too. Rodents, birds, reptiles-- Petsmart does not care. The ONLY reason I'm giving this store 2 stars, is because I often go there to take my doing to the Banfield Pet Hospital that's located inside (by the way, I give that pet hospital 5/5 stars without a second thought.), and I take my dog to the groomers a few times a year. But, if I'm being honest, I often worry if I'll end up being another owner who lost their pet to poor animal welfare at the hands of people I am paying up to a hundred dollars to groom and take care of my animal. When it comes down to it, it's obvious Petsmart does not care about its animals and that's horrible. For a pet store, Petsmart seems to have zero knowledge on how to take care of pets and that really shows. I Boycotted this company for over a year and then decided to give them another shot as their prices are unbeatable. Unfortunately they misrepresented one of their products on their website does not show pictures of how this breast plate for an English saddle attaches to the girls and nowhere in the description shows anything about how it supposed to attach so I assumed that it attached with a clip to the D ring. I'm new to English riding I never knew they made brass plates that will go around the entire dearth I have a total saddle fit girth so this particular breast plate will not work and had I had the right information upfront about it I wouldn't have ordered it. There's even a question about this and the answer that supplied is that it goes around the D ring as well. When I contacted them about this issue they took at least a week if not more to respond to each reply that I would reply back to them. By the end of it they were telling me that I would be responsible for return shipping for their mistake and A restocking fee of 10% but if it was after 30 days when they receive the item it was gonna be 20% restocking fee how is this right for a company to do this to someone when they are at fault for misrepresenting a product they should be eating the cost at this point after the hundreds almost probably thousands of dollars I have Spent with this company and this is how they treat me on top of taking weeks to get this resolved. I would steer clear From this company I don't care if they have good prices. I'd rather spend a little more and get what is accurately described and that treats their customers correctly. read more

If you need to return something, their "restocking fees" are absurd. 33% if the package has been opened....even if it's something that has to be tried on. I stopped by petsmart today on fruitville pike to pick up some large bags of dog food. I needed adult mature small bites the large 33lb bag. They appeared to be out of the product I wanted. While I was standing there a store employee asked if they could help me with anything, her name was shauna. I told her what I was looking for and she said she would check in the back. about 30 seconds later she came back and said the large bags are sold out but she would gladly give me the small bags at an equal price per pound as the large bags. Do not order on-line with this company unless you thoroughly read their return policy! I received a $500 gift certificate and redeemed half of the certificate on 2/10/21. I unknowingly signed in as a guest. My items were received at my current address without incident. I redeemed the remaining amount of the certificate 2 days later for a endurance saddle. I paid additional amount for the item with a credit card. This item was not received. It was mailed to an old address from 2016. I called stateline's customer service & they said since I ordered on-line vs. by phone, the mistake was mine & they would not honor the purchase. I called my previous address which told me they had returned to sender. Now I'm out $250 worth of merchandise without recourse. Was visiting the area, and my dog got into something in the yard of our Airbnb. I take him to Petsmart for grooming at home, so figured he'd be fine there. He only needed a bath, so no big deal, right? So I got a call that he was ready and called and said I'd be there in one hour. I had car trouble and waited for Triple A. Once able to charge my phone I contacted the manager to explain and reassured her I'd be there as soon as I was able. When I arrived although very apologetic, the grooming department employee was super rude and nasty and began to lecture me about how I'm supposed to pick up my dog on time. All this without knowing anything that happened to me. Nasty nasty nasty...thank goodness I will never have to come back. While the manager was very understanding, this employee really overstepped her boundaries by talking to me that way. Just do your job and get my dog!! Do not use the grooming services! We boarded our dog here and then had him groomed on the last day. When we picked him up, he had several nicks but worst of all his butt area was so raw it looked like a piece of meat. And they had the nerve to suggest that he actually came in that way but his hair was covering it so we couldn't tell. They said it might be an infection and they took him to Banfield to be checked but said to also follow up with our vet. Obviously if he looked like that to start out with and had an infection, they would never have groomed him. They shaved him all the way down, and shaved him down raw in that area and then tried to cover up what they did. I followed up with Banfield the next day and they had no record of seeing him. So not only do they do a horrible job, they lie about it as well! read more

He's really skinny more than when I left him and they didn't give him the food hours that I told them to do.. and didn't have him the trests I gave them. Not as many loose items as pet supplies plus on lititz pike, but over all not a bad store. Pets are welcome in the store. Grooming starts at 7am, the store opens at 9am. read more

I have been bringing my Maltese Benson to PetsSmart for about a year now haven't had any issues up until about 3 weeks ago .. i made an appointment appt for him to get a bath & brush .. when i get there they asses him they touch him feel him over like any other time.I made Danielle aware he had matted little bits .. the lady tell me its going to be 1 hour that she can brush it out i said no problem ill be back with an hour... while Danielle is assessing Benson her "crew leader" mumbles and say if he's too matted she cannot give him a bath .. now as a crew leader if your watching your co worker asses the dog and you have concerns .. well wouldnt you stop and check the dog and tell me RIGHT THEN & there that he "was too matted" & he cannot be bathed. Well no she waited till i walked away & about 7 minutes later receive a call from Danielle ( the one that told me she was going to be able to bathe him & assessed him) saying her crew leader says she cant bathe him ..at this point im LIVID because obviously you waited till i left when you couldve easily he just checked him when i arrived .. whatever... i get to the desk they are both standing their completely IGNORING ME... i speak up & say "Hello IM HERE FOR BENSON" the crew leader ignores me giving me her back ..turns around slightly picks up the phone & starts saying " MANAGER TO GROOMING , Manager to grooming ..." at this point im confused because 1. Your being rude ...2 your not acknowledging me , not explaining why shes calling a manager.. until i ask "is there a problem" then she explains that a manager had to get the dog because her and Danielle were busy ... at this point im pissed ... I have been coming here for a few years now. My dogs love the pet hotel and day camp. They get very excited as soon as we get off the exit ramp. They both know where to go when we get into the store. They are very excited when we get to the hotel. All the employees know them and love them. I, also, like the grooming my one dog gets ( a little pricey) but I expected that since he has longer hair. He always looks very handsome afterwards. And smells good. I recommend this place. Banfield has also taken good care of my furry kids. I like the convenience of dropping them off for their check up appt. and being able to pick them up later. Also, when I bored my dogs, while I went to Disney, at the hotel my hyper baby dog knocked my other dog (calmer one) against the kennel knocking his eye out. An accident of course. My one dog gets a little excited when he sees people and other dogs. I have made a few orders from State my tack in the past. Never have been very impressed with the prices or how long the shipping takes. They had a sale and I ordered a Tough1 waterproof, turnout, sheet for my miniature horse a few weeks ago. I recently used it for the first time the other day. I placed it on my horse before turn out. I also have a run in that they can go in throughout the day. It rained a little bit that day. When I brought my horses in and remove the new Tough1 sheet he was completely soaked underneath from head to toe. This tells me that the sheet is not properly waterproofed. I contacted Stateline tack and told him about the issue. The representative basically explained to me that I was probably doing something wrong and didn't know how to properly put a sheet on my horse. I have yet to receive another response and I won't hold my breath about them doing something to correct an order and make it right. I will never order with them again. Do not buy fish from here. They don't know how to take care of their fish or tanks. A fish I purchased from them infected my tank with ICH and I lost 2 of my fish so far. They offered a refund for the fish that caused the problem. That doesn't help the fish that died or going through this process to get rid of the disease that came from them. Train your people to take care of fish and tanks. That would be the best resolution. read more
