I go to pick up Hudson yesterday and Sydney (new groomer)says to me, the man(Tim) who dropped Hudson off is banned from coming in here. I was so shocked I said... why. She said he always comes in swearing at everyone and raising his voice. What in the world??? This is the first time Tim dropped them off. Mom or I always take them. Mom had eye surgery so Tim took him. He called the store to find out what was going on. He said Sydney was getting all smart mouthed with him and wouldn't let him talk. He hung up on her. A case of mistaken identity obviously. Never ever has a company treated us like this. We spend over $500 a month there getting our pets groomed once a month, dog food, treats etc. read more

No idea why this location is rated poorly, my experience was great! I came looking for dog food and the shelves were stocked and aisles are clearly marked. They had some dog food that is within 2-3months of being by the "sell by date" marked 50% off! They have a Pet Hotel, which I haven't used, but allows your pets to stay there overnight. read more

I shop at this store primarily for fish and aquatic related items. Their prices are competitive and reasonable. I have been impressed with the fish that I have purchased here. For the most part there have been few dead losses. Their tanks are fairly clean, fish are for the most part healthy and the store is well organized and well lit. They seem short staffed, but it's hard to hold that against them when everyone is having the same problem. Parking is ample and curbside pickup is available. Getting into the complex can be a bit difficult depending on the time of day due to normal traffic load. Leashed pets are always welcome. I do business here and am happy to recommend this location. read more

I'm here on a Sunday and it was amazing. Everyone went above and beyond to help and be accommodating. This one guy helped me put together a dog crate and spent a lot of time making sure it was just right. Then when checking out the counter girl was a delight. This is the 3rd time I came here and only one time was it questionable but today they made up for it by far. I will definitely come back here because you can tell the employees care about your shopping experience. I think it all depends on who's working because I came one random weekday and the older white lady was huffing and puffing and giving me attitude. This store needs a complete and total overhaul. I've been to this store well over two dozen times and it gets worse with each visit. This is the third time I've been here where the isles are empty. No product. Not even their own brand Authority cat food on the shelves. What's more, always, and I mean always a line half way back through the store with one or two registers open. Beware of Stateline Tack - They're blowing up their prices, claiming "sale" and the "sale price" is still 2 - 3X higher than what other companies are charging. They're also lying about what the "list price" is on items, inflating them to preposterous amounts. I tried to communicate with them about it thru a virtual chat where "Glendaly H" essentially told me to go to hell, stating, "Every company sets their own prices." before abruptly ending the chat. It's important to price check so you don't get ripped off, and I also think it's important to let companies like Stateline Tack know that what they're doing is outrageous. Took my poodle into petsmart for his first ever haircut. They assured me that they would take care of him and they would only do a puppy cut at first to get him used to the environment. We handed Patch over and left to run some errands. About 10-15 minutes later I get a call that I was to pick him up because since they stuck him in a cage he must have panicked and they couldn't get him out and he was growling and biting them. We got to his appointment on time so I don't understand why he was in a cage to begin with. We have had patch since September he's now 6 months old and he has never growled or even barked before so I have no idea what they did to him. Also, he is crate trained so them putting him in a cage shouldn't have been an issue. He has play bit before but never hard. On the way home as my son held him he went to pet him and he bit him to where he drew blood. This is VERY unusual for our dog. Something happened to him in those 20 minutes that has me very concerned. He wasn't himself for a few hours. When I got there to pick him up they had him in a towel and said he had soiled himself. They handed my puppy to me with him smelling and didn't clean him off just wrapped him in a towel like that is normal. I was then told if I want to return I have to pay an extra $11 to do their "express" service which entails one person working on him from start to finish without him ever being in a cage. Why isn't this service the same price and why isn't that how all the dogs are treated. Why are they putting them in cages to wait for their next service treating these animals like their on an assembly line!? The place was packed we could hardly move in the grooming area. Maybe don't pack your schedule to where you can't keep up and give the animals a little more love and attention. We are paying for this service. The doggy day care staff review: 5 stars. Excellent. They're sweet to my dog, call me after to tell me they were glad to have him there, the staff seems to really work well together. I have a husky and he can be a lot of work so I'm glad they're so dedicated. I'd recommend the day care. They sent me cute pictures of him in my emails. It's also very reasonably priced for 8 hours of care. Banfield: 3 stars, nice and very knowledgeable techs, terrific office staff, but it's a bit overpriced considering the vet did not spend very much time with my dog, just a quick look and the vet was done. The shots weren't too bad but I think the cost to neuter/spay is really expensive compared to most other counties who have discounted places. They really tried to push the pet plan so they could take money every month which was way too costly ...I just wanted to get my dog his shots and what he needed, plus the plan would still be having people pay out of pocket. Maybe it would be good for people who need to visit the vet a lot more than normal. Rest of the store: 4 stars, only used the groomers once for nail grinding/bath, they did a good job, dog food is very overpriced. The leashes and harnesses I've bought there are great quality. Staff is very nice and friendly to my dog, and it's fun to walk around and pet all the animals. My dog peed on the floor twice here and I was super embarrassed because he had gone in the yard before we left, but they handed me some towels right away and didn't seem upset. Would be nice to see more employees tending to the smaller animals and the fish more too. They send me emails with my points discounts. read more

I have never been disappointed with PetSmart with training classes so I tried there Petshotel when my family had a vacation and I needed someone I felt I could trust to take care of my husky, Revan. They were amazing!! They made sure he felt relaxed. This was his first time ever being away from us. They played with him everyday. I called once to check up and they had a file that communicated to the other employees how he did the day before so they read the report to me and that made me feel good that they do that. They also give you a little report card at the end of the stay that included if he did well with going potty, eating, sleeping, etc. I will definitely come back to them. As much as he was excited to see us again, I could tell he loved being there. I also added the bath at the groomers and the sundae treat which he loved. When we picked him up he was happy, clean, and healthy!!! He even slept in the car on the way home which he never does which to me tells me he had so much fun! read more

Buyer beware! If you are not 100% certain the items you order will work....DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! Read the return policy VERY CAREFULLY. You have to call to get a return item number....and you have to pay the shipping costs. I ordered over $1000 worth of items and needed to return 3 due to sizing/duplication issues. The items were not heavy but required a mid size box due to shape. The items being returned had a value of less than $100...but the cheapest shipping cost i could find was $66.00!!!!! At that point it makes more sense to keep the items and try to offload or donate. State Line Tack needs to majorly up their user friendly approach. The bitter irony is I could have ordered all the items from Amazon and would have gotten them faster, had an effortless and no cost return. Lesson learned! read more

I haven't had any issues with Petsmart but Banfield is a ripoff - they don't even followup with you when your pets are due for their tests or shots! I think that they have a decent selection and their stores are clean. Price wise Petsmart can be beaten by almost all online competitors but sometimes they have good deals on specific brands. State line track is disorganized, will not stand by their product and made it extrememly difficult to return a defective item. They asked me to take a picture of the shipping label that is pretty odd since they shipped the item to me....I have had to deal with several customer service people each one asks me to send pictures that I have already sent to other reps. Not sure why they can't talk to each other. I believe they are trying to wear me down so I will just give up and keep the boots that are poorly made and I can't get on one of my normal shaped feet. I wish I could give NEGATIVE STARS!!!!!!When I picked up my dog from Fruitville Pike pet hotel after an overnight boarding I was informed that my 18 month old German Shepherd had been "deemed aggressive". Supposedly because no one could get a leash on her she was not taken out for a potty break for OVER 24 hours. They could also not tell me if she had eaten but gave me NONE of her food back. I was asked to take her out of her crate I found her cowering in a corner of the crate with kibble all over the floor. When asked why I wasn't called about anything they told me it didn't warrant a call because it was just an overnight stay. I have used PetSmart for 3 dogs over 25+ years. Hugely disappointed in what's become of this company. I ordered items more than a week ago, and needed them for this coming weekend (another 5 days away). Five days after placing the order I received an email that the items were delayed and wouldn't ship until after the day that I needed them for. I rush ordered them from another retailer. Since I no longer needed the order, I emailed customer service (it was a weekend and no phone help was available). I also called on Monday morning and was told that the order would be cancelled. Today, Tuesday morning, I received an email that the order has shipped. I called customer service again, only to be told that their system is down and they can't look up orders. It's not recommended to receive a package in case it gets lost in return shipping, and it sounds like I'll now be on the hook for return shipping. They are a pass through company that has a small amount of inventory and then takes your order and farms it out to other vendors for fulfillment or has it drop shipped from the manufacturer. That of course is assuming that they actually process the order. I placed an order on 4/8. Received email saying it shipped 4/13. Oops - the order never shipped because it never was filled. They would brutally drag my cat into my carrier and tell me that he did not behave well. Blaming the animal itself for the fault that the staff made. "Good" job PetSmart. I've always preferred PetSmart over the Fish Place and here's why. I think they cater more to the novice pet owner, the everyday person who maybe has a small aquarium set up or just wants to get Fido a new leash. They sell the basics without the up-sell. I love my pets but am I looking for a million choices, organic food, or supplies made of the finest materials?. Not really and that's the difference, oh...and definitely less of a crowd too! They also have a loyalty program which gives you small savings and perks. Nice to have it even if you don't carry your card since they can look it up with your phone number. They guarantee their animals (fish, and hermit crabs included) so save your receipt. If they die they are replaced hassle free although you do need to bring in the corpse. There is a developmentally challenged man that has worked in the fish section for years. He was our go to when we had a tropical set up. He's friendly, knowledgeable, and takes great pride in his work. He's a true asset to the company. In addition to the retail store they have shelter animals for adoption, a doggie day camp, dog training and grooming, and vet on the premises. One stop shopping for all your pet needs. read more

I was told they couldn't give me that information and if it was the wrong size from what the description stated they would refund. Sounds great, right? No, they DO NOT refund shipping costs. Took my dog in for a simple nail trim. They told me they take walk ins yet when you get there they tell you how long the wait is. So I go walk around and waste my time. I go back in to the salon and the groomer acts like she's never been around a dog. She cautiously "examines" my dog so natural he starts showing his teeth. She decides she can't cut his nails. He then nips at another groomer because he was already on edge from the first groomer. They say they can cut his nails. I've been going to other petsmarts his whole life (he's 10) for nail trims and never had this problem. I know my dog can have attitude but the way the groomers approached him was awful. read more

I will never use PetSmart again in my life. We placed a reservation weeks ago to have our dog boarded for our week long vacation. Just today I called to confirm the reservation and they said it was still in the queue to be processed; however, there are no longer any reservations available at our location. We could happily drive over an hour away in the opposite direction though for a location though. This is horrendous customer service with zero empathy for the customer. I would give this store a -10 if I could. the staff was so disrespectful and rude to not only me but someone who was LITERALLY buying an animal. They handled a very fragile lizard IN THE MIDDLE of the store. They didnt even get me a container to hold him in. There was also a very much dead spider inside of a plastic container. As well as hamsters that couldn't drink out of their water bottles as well as hamsters WITHOUT water. Groomers do a great job- they know how to trim the dogs. We have 2 Scotties that require a specific kind of haircut. Have also taken our son's poodles there and they looked great afterwards. We've also used the doggie hotel and were impressed by the caring staff. read more
