Can barely open his one eye.

I took my 2 year old Yorkie there. He came back unrecognizable and something happened to his eye. Now he could have just got something in it but whatever it was it caused him not to be able to open it for long periods of time and excessive liquid coming from it. This persisted for 5 days until he could start to fully open his eye and keep it open longer than a few moments.

Fresh from their appointment with a cute bandanna

I've been taking both of my dogs to Renee's for a couple of years & I've never had a complaint. The staff is friendly & the prices are great! They have also expanded and done some renovations and the place looks great! Def

I am SO upset right now! If you love your pets...do NOT bring them to Renee's Pet Grooming Salon at 117 Oakridge Drive in Mountville, PA! I took our 15 year old Yorkie to get groomed there this morning, and not only did he get a shoddy haircut...he was injured! Unfortunately, we didn't notice the injury when we first picked him up, because they covered it with a bandana...but as soon as we noticed it, we went back to the shoppe to speak with the owner, Renee Koutroulakis. She denied that our dog was mistreatd or harmed by her staff, and claimed that she had no idea what happened. As you can see in the attached photos...this isn't a small injury. Even our veterinarian confirmed that this is indeed a bruise, and not irritation from grooming tools. These people hurt my furbaby, didn't notify us of the injury/incident during pickup, then tried to cover it up and act like they didn't know what happened. It is visibly clear that the groomer either abused my dog or neglected him while he was in their care. Either way, my poor baby was hurt by someone at this location and I'm heartbroken because I have no idea what happened to him. Also, when I dropped off my dog, I did explain that he is a senior pet and he needs a little extra care (he has skin tags and his tongue sticks out the side of his mouth due to having had his teeth removed). I also advised them that I had a phone number change, so they should call my new number when he was ready to be picked up. Well, clearly our dog was not handled with care, AND they still called my old number when he was done. I had to call them to ask if he was ready to be picked up. I wish I would have read the review left on the BBB, and the others left on Google that points out the poor quality of care at this facility. Due to COVID, clients are not allowed to enter their facility...so who knows what's really going on in there with our pets. Our dog is a senior dog and always well behaved. He didn't deserve this, and I will never...EVER bring him back there.

After!

They always do such a good job with my pup, Mako! He looks so clean, his whiskers are intact, and his skin isn't irritated! With his sensitive skin it's hard to get a close cut without bothering his skin, but they always do a great job! Before and after photos provided.

Thank you Renee's Pet Grooming! My tiny toes feel better after being trimmed! Love, "Annie."

Our cats (Binxy & Annie) love Renee's Pet Grooming. Best place we have ever taken any of our animals. They're quick, friendly and price is perfect. Glad my neighbor recommended them over a year ago now. I always notice the other pets being groomed too and they're normally always calm. Not like other places where I've seen them nipping and trying to squirm away from multiple groomers. IMO, kudos to ANYONE who has the nerve to bathe and trim cats!!

They nicked my dog & caused an infected wound. My other dog didn't look like her coat was cut or brushed at all. Will never go back!!!

I contacted Columbia Animal Hospital after being referred there by the manufacturer of the…read moreSynovetin OA injection since it was one of the closest locations to me. My original plan was just to schedule a consultation for that treatment, since the injection costs over $2,000 and requires advance planning. At the consultation, my dog was in a lot of pain. The doctor first considered giving him a steroid shot for temporary relief, but then said he was not a candidate for the steroid at that time because of the testing. Instead, the doctor recommended PRP therapy. I was told most dogs start to show improvement within about two weeks. Unfortunately, even after almost six weeks, there was no improvement at all. My dog still could not use his leg, and things actually got worse when his rear legs started having issues too, even though he was on pain medication. After I updated my regular vet, she told me I should NOT have used Columbia Animal Hospital for PRP. That was especially frustrating because PRP was never the reason I went there in the first place. I only went for a Synovetin consultation. I was also very upset about what I saw after the procedure. When my dog was coming out of recovery, I witnessed Dr. Bartlett step on his leg with his boot. In the end, my dog continued to decline and was in pain, and I had to make the difficult decision to put him down. One more thing to be aware of, if you do not have cash on hand for a procedure, they will charge you a ridiculous fee ($65) just to run your credit card. This was an extremely difficult experience during an already emotional time, and overall it was very disappointing.
