This is actually Banfield inside the PetSmart store at La Jolla. The vet here is by far the worst!! He's arrogant, rude, and doesn't care about your questions or concerns, nor does he care about animals. He's definitely in the wrong business. This review is for the PETSHOTEL. The Petsmart Petshotel came based on recommendation from a friend who had left her malte-poo here a couple of times and liked it. When we first tried booking a weekend for our pup to stay here, they were full. Not surprised, considering it was a holiday weekend. However, when we needed to go away for another weekend we got him in no problem. We checked out the facilities on the Monday prior to our weekend trip. Everyone was extremely helpful and assisted us by answering questions, showing us around and explaining all of the options available to us. We liked it and felt comfortable enough to leave our beagle there for the weekend. There are windows so you can see in, and you can see the dogs in the group play area. The whole process was very easy, and you don't pay until you pick up your pet. Unfortunately, our boy was not yet neutered so he couldn't participate in the group play so we signed him up for one-on-one play time so he could get his crazy energy out. Un-neutered dogs cannot play with the general population there, however un-spayed bitches can. Something about not being a dating service. :o) That was fine, especially considering we booked the weekend for him the day before their rates were changed. We paid $2 for a half hour of his play, whereas the rates have gone up to about $15 per half hour. I believe the actual 'room' rates have dropped by a couple bucks though. The overall bill was reasonable, about $100 for Friday through Monday after work, as well as the play time, some treats and nail trimming. He did, however, forget to charge me for the extra day fee for Monday but I'm not complaining! (They close early on Sundays, so if you have a late flight expect to pay for an additional day to pick up on Monday. And if it's after noon, they charge again, but that's what they didn't charge me.) The rates overall are the best in town for something like this, about $27/night for your dog. I am comfortable with the staff and am ready to make reservations again for a couple of weekend trips coming up. read more

I've taken my cat here at least 4 times now and will continue to take him here. I'd seen it in passing whenever I was in PetSmart and when I called for pricing information it was very reasonable compared to other boarding facilities I'd looked into. Now, I wouldn't call my cat "normal" by any means, he adapts to new situations and changes without any problems. Because of this I think he takes to boarding very well. As long as he has food and attention he's a happy camper. Every time I call to check on him or pick him up at the end of his stay the hotel workers have nothing but good things to say about him and how much he seemed to enjoy his stay. All feeding directions that I leave are followed and he always comes home with all of the toys that he checked in with. The kitty cottages are always clean and pretty roomy. If there aren't many cats checked in they open the hole to a connecting cottage and give him the extra room. He even got a little goodie bag from Banfield today with treats and a toy (he's not a Banfield client). read more

I've only purchased items at this store so am only reviewing that experience. I frequent this Petsmart often for dog toys and accessories. They have a good stock and always have things on sale. If you are part of their PetPerks program, you receive coupons via email all the time. I purchased my pup's dog coat for 50% off on Black Friday and it's been great (especially since it's been raining so much). They have specials all the time, so I try not to buy anything full price there. read more

I am writing a review about the PetHotel here at the PetSmart. We have used this boarding kennel for many years, and I depend on it often for day care as well when we are in San Diego. Our dogs always come out happy and clean and I really appreciate that. I love the fact that when you make a reservation, they send you a email confirmation. The staff is very friendly. The only downside is the dogs don't get outside as they don't have an outdoor run area, but because of the great service and wellness of my dogs when we pick them up, it is five star. read more

Likely just our location but twice we bought live food and both times they were dead as soon as we got home (likely before we left the store as we live 2 min away). They were helpful but when we returned the food the first time, they should have checked the replacement. My dog didn't like the food and they took back the opened bag in exchange for another kind. Awesome service. I drive pass 2 Petcos to get here. Woot! And they have little treats that my dog actually likes at the check out. I've also gotten my dog groomed here, and the shampoo smells like vanilla cupcake. A little strong tho. My 9 month old puppy has attended the dog day camp at this Petsmart location twice so far. It is close to my house and somewhat convenient when going to and from work during the week. The very first time I took my dog, she had never been to a doggie daycare and I needed her to be worn out because we were getting ready to head out on a 5-hour road trip to Arizona. So I signed her up for the half day option which came out to around $15 for six hours. A pretty affordable option in my opinion. Petsmart made the process easy by making their forms available online so that I could complete them ahead of time and bring them in. My dog came home tired and she rested almost the entire trip to Arizona. I was sold on this doggie day camp. The second time I took her was for a full 9-hour day while I was at work ($21). Check-in and check-out took no more than 5 minutes. When she was brought out to me at the end of the day, again she was very tired (and very excited to see me). I didn't even notice until we got into the car that she felt dirty and reeked of urine! The entire drive home I had to keep the windows open just so I wouldn't have to deal with the strong smell of dog urine. I realized that she must have been rolling around in it while she had been playing that day. I had to take her home and give her a bath immediately which was inconvenient because I had to rush out of the house to get to an evening event. After the most recent visit, I'm hesitant about using this doggie day camp. I'm really satisfied with the pricing and the easy process of checking my dog in and out. However if there's a chance I will have to bathe my dog after every visit, I'm not so sure I want to use this facility anymore. It made me wonder how closely the staff were paying attention to the dogs playing throughout the day. There is another doggie day care facility closer to where I work, but it's more expensive. I may give them a try if it means my dog won't come home smelling like urine. read more

This review is for the Pets Hotel and Grooming. Since I've started full-time at my job I've been taking my dog in for doggy day camp every once in a while since I just didn't want to lock my dog in 6 days a week at home. Day camp is a good alternative, my dog loves it and (literally) pulls me into the store because he knows he's going in for camp! The only thing is, if you aren't able to pick up when camp ends at 5pm, they lock your dog in a cage till you come in. So the few times that I wasn't able to get out of work on time, my dog came home with a scratched nose from trying to get out of the cage :( I'm more disappointed with the grooming salon. I've never had a problem grinding my dog's nails at home, but sometimes I got lazy and decided he could get one while he's at camp. The last time I asked for a nail grind/trim, the associate told me that they noticed my dog would get fidgety but they would do their best. Not sure why they decided to tell me now when I've had grooming services done with them many times before? Or if that was their way of telling me that it's not their fault if my dog's nails aren't trimmed properly when I pick him up? They even "forgot" to trim both of his dewclaws! Either way, I'm not going to bring him in for a nail trim in the future. I also asked for an exit bath (I was told it was a shampoo with drying), and my dog came home smelling like he just got watered down with no shampooing whatsoever. read more

It is always good to research pet food before you come here. There are times when I get the feeling that they don't know what they are talking about. I did go to dog training class with my dog Princeton. He has become very well behaved since taking the classes here. The grooming salon isn't very good so I didn't include them in the rating. We have taken our dog to the various petsmarts for camp since August as we transitioned into a new house. Of the 3 we have used, La Jolla by far is the best. All the ladies there know our dog by now and treat her as their own. She recently had diarrhea and they took her over to the pet hospital to have her checked out. The hotel covered the vet exam, a test and since she wasnt really in camp they didn't charge us for the day. They are also very accommodating because my dog is an escape artist and can get out of their normal pens, they all know this about her and put her in a suite during non camp hours so she doesn't escape. And im not charged extra. This is the reason we started coming here because another camp we went to only had 2 people working and she climbed an 8 ft fence and was running around El Cajon Blvd. I appreciate that the dogs are monitored 100% of the time during play and she is safe. I will say it can be somewhat disorganized if it's super busy but I would fault the company on that not the people for not equipping with better tech to check in check out guests, they have tons of people there caring for your pets. It is better if you have a punch card and you are a regular, often my dog is already on her way up when they see me walk in. read more

Huge pet store, with pretty good prices. I end up spending substantially less on all of my pet supplies when i shop here rather than pet people across the street or the petco in clairemont. They also have dog training classes often and the clientle tend to have very well behaved dogs, so you dont have to worry about your little buddy getting scared when shopping. read more

I don't care whether or not you work in La Jolla, you are at a freakin' PETSMART. The grooming staff is so stuck up and they do a terrible job. I came here with a family friend's dog and they completely butchered him and later blamed the dog for being fidgety. Completely untrue. As soon as we got home, he cowered into a corner and started shaking which is completely out of the character for him. The PetHotel is cute, I like being able to watch the dogs play when I'm waiting for my movie @ AMC downstairs, but as some have mentioned it *is* expensive and you can probably find better care elsewhere. Drive a few miles to a nice boutique type hotel and trust me your dog will be happier. read more

I probably been going here for close to over year and half now just for the grooming. My dog got a bath on Sat. The next day I had spent a good amount of time removing mates. This should not be need the day after his bath. This basically means they either did not really brush him before or after his bath or did a very poor job. I was hesitant to write this review because I am not one to make a big deal out of things. My 7 month old pup stayed here for two nights. Dropped him off late afternoon Saturday and picked him up Monday afternoon. I didn't receive a written report about how his stay was, but the person who returned my pup to me said "he did soooo good here" which put me at ease. When we got home he had diarrhea, which I read was normal after coming home from boarding. The next day it turned into constipation. I thought it was just due to him being in a new environment, but the constipation has been lasting for more than a few days. I've been trying home remedies until his vet appointment. I have never had any issues with my dog, and he's been in great health until he came home from petsmart hotel. I'm pretty sad about the whole thing and makes me regret leaving him here. While I had no issues in the customer service, I can't help but wonder if they were paying attention to my dog at all. I wish I had read these reviews before booking here. read more

Banfield- My cat has been coming here since she was a kitten. I like the wellness plan because I don't have to pay for her yearly vaccinations in one big chunk. I can pay for a whole year's worth of care (including a dental cleaning) with reasonable monthly payments. I wouldn't be able to afford $300 or so all at once. The staff is helpful too. I don't choose the big chain pet stores unless I need something that the independent stores don't carry (i.e. a car harness for a large dog). I LOL'd hard at the woman who said she couldn't find the store. It's true - it's kinda snugged away in the back. You either go through the congested parking lots of 10 other stores or go through the side street to get to the parking lot. It's not a typical strip mall PetSmart. Anyway, while I've always been able to get my harnesses here I once left bummed because they did not have a medium sized red nylon collar, a very basic item. Maybe this location was sold out, I don't know. Petco, which is a terrible store, does not carry basic red collars and leashes for large dogs because they're such exotic items. I don't like collars with plastic clips, just the ones that are like belts with holes and metal buckles. Why a red collar was hard to find I will never know. Another thing I noticed is there always seems to be a bunch of dead fish in their tanks. There's one tank that holds something like 200 comet fish that they sell for about 12 cents a pop but there are regularly floaters and others that have already sunk. Maybe they do periodic cleanings but it seems whenever I'm there that's not the case. I can't recommend many dog foods that PetSmart sells as many are low grade. I'd check out a specialty or independent place for higher quality gourmet with ingredients that you can actually pronounce. I guess the 3 star rating is mostly based on convenience and the theory that they should have basic items I'm looking for. I guess the clincher is I would rather go here than Petco. So yeah. It's okay for what it is. read more

About Pet hotel: My dogs always came home with poop all over them even ever we send them to pet care ( 3 times) and thirsty. I always to bath at exit for which we were asked to pay extra but they never gave them any bath or cleaned them. On the last day of us send them here they came back with some kind on rash on their stomach. We had to take them to veterinary. They infect ask us to press charges against petsmart. About manager: We asked for manger many time and the manager was never on in store not a single one. we asked the employees to ask the manager to call us but we never rescue any calls from them. About the grooming: My dig came with cut on him, hence it was my 1st and last time i send him for grooming here. My Dogs always came home traumatized. I normally shop at Petco, but recently stopped into this PetSmart recently to grab some cat food after work. I used to shop here all the time and thought the service back then was really good. But when I returned recently, it seemed really dismal. Their cat food selection is quite poor and very limited (hence, why I like Petco a little more). I grabbed a few items and was checking out and asked the guy helping me if they sold refrigerated cat food and he didn't even know. I figured they didn't, since I didn't see any near the cat food aisles, but I figured it was worth asking. He didn't which was strange. Then while he was checking me out he took a phone call and couldn't be bothered to say "thank you" or anything, just shoved my receipt into my hand. Rude! :P read more

I have been at this location bringing my dog for over 1 year and have never been treated so rude and given very poor customer service the last two times I called the reservation number. Jessica in the reservations is very rude and condescending. She talks over you and rudely repeats things with a very nasty tone. She changed the price of day camp three times and than repeated the wrong date and drop off time to me. When I said, I am sorry the reservation is actually for Thursday, she said in a nasty tone, I just corrected myself and cut me off when I was speaking. She is horrible and should be fired. This is the closest PetSmart to my house and I come here quite often. The store is always clean and tidy, stocked with food, treats and accessories, and staff is always available to help with any questions. I got my dog's nails trimmed last week, I came in without an appointment and opted for the filing instead of the cutting of her nails. It cost $14, took 7 min and my dog's nails were as short as they possibly could be, and also soft and round! I will definitely come back here for my next doggy nail trim! read more

IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG READ THIS!!! These are the FACTS. Form your own OPINION. We boarded our perfectly happy dog for 12 days. Our dog was to be in individual playtime, which we have been assured she was, since she was BITTEN once before in group playtime. We picked our dog up with an oozing open facial laceration. We were told she had a canine abscess per their in-house Banfield Hospital. We took her home and she refused to eat and would not interact with us. She was clearly in pain. We took our dog to our respected vet. X-rays and exams revealed bites on both sides of her muzzle, through her nose, with puncture wounds and a broken premolar caused by the injury. (Note-her canines are perfectly fine, no abscesses) We shed many a tear over this. We felt and still feel awful. She had surgery and is still on antibiotics. Our dog is traumatized, as are we, and has still not healed 3 weeks later. Petsmart HAS NOT taken responsibility for this bite. They did say they would reimburse us for our medical bills if we sign a release. As pet lovers who really consider our sweet dog FAMILY, this does not answer our questions or protect anyone else from having this happen. A full year has passed since my experience here. I was so mad about it that I didn't feel I could be remotely civil even in describing my experience to a manager. But I want to share my experience now, in case someone is as crazy as me to try to coordinate what I was doing. After all, the pet store's proximity to the hospital may mean I'm not the only one. My husband is an awesome angel-on-earth who was called upon to give bone marrow (PBSCs) to a complete stranger twice in 2013. Both times the donation was at Scripps Green, not far away from La Jolla Village. Without going into too much detail about the process, the donor is hooked up to an apheresis machine, and it runs until it has collected enough material, which takes many, many hours (upward of six or more). During that time, the kindly donor lays only mildly sedated on a bed while these machines pull and push blood through both arms. This is not something that someone does for fun. It is uncomfortable for the donor, and, at least in my own experiences, stressful for anxious and loving family members. Here's the problem: we have two dogs. (The first time he donated, we had just one.). Dogs are not allowed in a sterile place like a hospital. Our dogs have special needs and don't do well at regular gang daycare. So my answer was grooming, which they both needed because we took them to the beach the night before my husband's procedure. Last time we went to Dirty Dogs and they were awesome and patient, but once I realized when I got there how quick and efficient they were, I felt bad about the fact that I intended to leave my dog a little longer (although I warned them of this). Not wanting to inconvenience them - although in hindsight, totally wishing I did - I chose the Village PetSmart this time, instead. Therein was my mistake. You see, I tell anyone who will listen to me that my husband donated bone marrow. I am super proud of him because I have seen that it's a scary procedure and he willingly did it for a stranger that he will never meet twice within a ten month period. So when I called PetSmart to set up the appointment, you'd best believe that I was very clear about the fact that they would be in while he was having a procedure, and I was not certain what time I would pick them up. That's fine, they reassured me on the phone, we're flexible. I asked if I would need to bring any paperwork, so they could be checked in to daycare immediately after, and I was told it wouldn't be an issue. Great! Sounded like a great fit. I held on to my dogs as long as possible in the morning, and then dropped them at their appointment. My husband's procedure took longer than anticipated. Seriously: he was the first person they hooked up to the machine (out of three donors that day), and ended up being the last one off the machine. After you're off the machine, they feed you, hold on to you a little while (sort of like when you give blood), and then release you. Nothing about this process is quick. Somewhere in there, my phone started to ring, so I stepped outside to handle it. It was PetSmart, giving me a hard time about how long my dogs had been there. Since I was talking to someone I hadn't dealt with before, I explained the situation, and the woman still proceeded to give me a hard time and tell me how I should have done some other paperwork in the morning so that they could do day care. She schooled me about how what I was doing was in violation of their policy and how they weren't allowed to take my dogs outside. What I really wanted to say was something along the lines of how if the dog went to the bathroom in her kennel, it would be her problem to clean up, not mine, but instead I continued to explain that I was at the hospital and although my dogs are usually my #1 priority in life, at this very minute they weren't. Somehow that didn't end the conversation. She really wanted to make me feel like an awful person over this. You know, while my husband does something incredibly selfless, we were just the worst dog owners on earth because we had the nerve to get our pets groomed. At PetSmart the woman refused to make eye contact with me. I hope she didn't last much longer after that. So, lesson learned. Dirty Dogs will go above and beyond, but PetSmart at La Jolla Village will treat you like dirt. I've spent the year debating whether to write about this, but a year later I still can't believe how I was treated. read more

I hate to write reviews that are upsetting and based on emotional let downs, but I really feel compelled to discourage others from taking their pets to get seen here by the Bainbridge Pet Hospital. As a new cat owner, I did not know many places to go and knew there was a Petsmart by Ralphs. Since the cat i got was off of Craig's list and was told that she had no prior shots I took her in to get checked-up. First of all, the cat was already scared and the way they picked her up to weigh her was of no help. Then they told me that they were going to have to charge $20 extra for the difficulty. (SHES a 6 pound tiny cat.. yah she's scared, but how does that warrant extra money? they are a hospital. I'm a med student and we dont charge patients at the hospital for being extra moody..) I was expecting that she needed a bunch of shots and she did. THey also told me that she had fleas and I took their word for it and they told me to buy Advantage-multi for $80. I bought it not knowing otherwise. They then informed me that she needed to be spayed (which I knew) and that i woudl cost $300. That was really upsetting. I was already feeling frustated and scared for this new cat and could not afford this. Basically I left this place with not only a scared cat, but devastated. I wanted to give her back to her original owner because I felt duped and a bit brazenly treated by the pet hospital. The doc was kind of rough and seemed unsympathetic to my financial problem. I got so nervous I went to the animal shelter. The great medical staff there actually calmed me down telling me that fleas could be dealt with and that the cat was otherwise healthy. I was crying and sobbing as I described my experience with the vet and they essentially said that for other numerous reasons I should never go back. They also gave me other spay options that would only be $30-50 through the SNAP program. I have since scheduled a spay appointment this week for $50 at the ABC pet hospital in PB and hopefully it will be a better experience. I was told owning a pet should not be this stressful by the animal shelter and I agree. They were so helpful with my questions regarding the flea problem (unlike petsmart that essentially told me I was screwed). Just to make matters worse, I was charged for a procedure that hadn't been done (I had to call to get a refund). And the advantage multi they sold me was 2x the cost of what I could get elsewhere. Overall I had a pretty bad experience that I would not wish on other people. I was a newbie and I agree that I knew very little, but I feel like people should be helpful in these situations not leave feeling helpless. I think I'm going to boycott this store even for its supplies... ugh.. dont go here for any sort of treatment. read more

This review is for Pets Hotel -- I spend hundreds of dollars here a month on my dog from food, to grooming and day camp services and they definitely just lost me as a loyal customer at this location. The first time I ever go on an extended trip and plan to have my dog here for three full day camps and have my boyfriend pick him up so he doesn't sleep in a kennel the customer service goes to complete (fill in the blank). The squeaky ditzy sounding female who answered the phone who claimed she was the assistant manager there was RUDE, non helpful, put me on hold for an extremely long period of time only to have some random guy end up picking up the phone for no reason - got nowhere with me. I explained how I pre paid on a giftcard for the whole weekend and she just kept saying we can't do that. Only to end the conversation with "okay I guess we did end up doing that for you". If you're the assistant manger get your act together and be aware of what you are doing and what your subordinates are doing. But then again you work as a part time dog sitter. If the assistant manger at the Pets Hotel is this rude and non helpful I HIGHLY suggest you all reconsider leaving your dogs here with people like this. My dog Cooper will never be stepping his paws into this location again. I don't trust a business who treats their customers like this let alone my puppy. I hope my conversation with this individual was recorded and I will be writing a letter to the manager of this location as well as the Pet Smart corporation. read more

I will probably not go there any more... I have to say I feel extremely mistreated and humiliated by the horrible manager,Bill, at PetSmart today. Otherwise, I would not take such time to write such a long review. I was a loyal customer to PetSmart. Since I had my dog in April, I bought everything for my dog from PetSmart, had all his vaccines in BanField and took him to pet grooming there most of the time. But today, after what my dog and I had experienced in PetSmart, I felt hurt and humiliated as a loyal customer and if I cannot get a response from manager, I would tell all my friends not to go there anymore. I will just describe what happened simply. I took my dog to grooming today and my dog was not cooperative today and bit a groomer and later attacked the manager on his pants. My dog is not aggressive in general and had never attacked anyone before.I felt sorry for them at first but angry later because the manager banned my dog from bathing in the grooming salon just because my dog attacked him. Here are several things about the manager I want to complain about: First, the manager does not show respect for his customers-my dog, me, and my boyfriend. When our dog bit his pants, he said immediately: "We cannot bathe this dog any more." I understood this immediate reaction. But when I asked whether he meant it because I felt he might be on the fit of anger, he just replied: " NO. NOT ANYMORE." I felt hurt because I took my dog to PetSmart grooming for at least 5 times already and he behaved all the time. Some groomers remembered him and liked him. The manager neither knows how to make proper contact with a dog nor knows what character my dog has. He just made such an arbitrary decision just because he felt embarrassed by the tear on his pants. Any dog should not be treated like this. Any loyal customer should not be treated like this either. If he wants to ban my dog from going to PetSmart again, he had to show me the policy which says that as long as a dog bites for once, the dog cannot enter PetSmart. Anyway, he does not have right to make such a decision. Second, as the manager in a pet store, he lacks basic knowledge about dogs. I said this not to defend my dog, but dogs are protective in nature and when a dog has already shown aggressiveness, one should never act like he is going to do harm to the dog. From what I saw today, he avoided interaction with dogs and when he did interact, he showed extreme non-profession. Since he is around with dogs everyday, I suggested that he should probably google how to communicate with a dog, at least for once. Anyway, it's not professional for them to be attacked by dogs. It's even more unprofessional to blacklist a dog from entering the pet store just because he made one mistake. Well, other employees did not make me annoyed except for the manager. This place runs a great scam. They take your pet in then while you're out of town you get a phone call from them saying that your pet is sick and must see the vet. After over $400 in tests they let you know that the he is ok. This happened twice. The second time I told them "no, he's ok. you did this last time." Then they threatened to kick him out if we refused to have him see their vet. What could we do? After authorizing another visit costing the same, they had nothing to report that was wwrong with him. My Husband and I were completely disrespected by a Petsmart employee. Our dog has dog aggression and will physically attack other dogs. We've been working with a trainer (not a PetSmart Trainer because as we were told, "They don't believe in those") and She suggested we get a training shock collar as a last resort. We do not want our dog to injure herself or someone else and we would use this collar for training purposes only. We asked an older male employee where the shock collars are kept and he would not tell us out right. He proceeded to lecture us on how shock collars shouldn't be used, EVER and then began interrogating us on our situation. He is not our trainer, we did not consult him on the rights and wrongs of doggie parenting nor did we want his advice. He was completely rude and did not do his job well. We should not have had to defend ourselves and be treated as bad pet parents. He should have pointed us to the right direction and asked if we needed help with anything else. I am a great pet parent and I am only looking out for my dog. This employee was rude and unprofessional. After this encounter and reading other reviews about this location, I will not be returning. read more

This is our go-to spot when we need to board our dog, whether for a short weekend trip or a two-week out vacation. We've always received prompt and curteous service and our dog comes home relaxed and in good condition (no after boarding illness). Yes, the are strict on requiring your pet to have recent bordatella shots (6 months or sooner). Totally happy with the service we get here and would not hesitate to recommend to other pet parents. read more

Today while at Petsmart, 7/16/16 at 11:45am (if these were your dogs--you should be upset at the maltreatment they experienced) , I witnessed two dogs being groomed and suffering through combing out of their tangled hair. Groomers Julia and Emily continued to Comb out tangles despite the dogs crying out, wimpering, barking. I said to Them "I can not believe what I am witnessing". Emily was working on a dogs ears that had long, tangled hair; Julia was detangling a poodle of some kind , it's front right leg fur was also kinked, tangled. Neither of them stopped to soothe the dogs. They kept on until I made the comment. Is there not some level of evaluation that a Mgr or grooming expert should decide this is too harsh for the dog to suffer through? Contact the owners, discuss options w/the owners, such as CONSIDER A SEDATIVE, maybe a vet should tech or vet staff should be providing this level of grooming, SOMETHING??!! I spoke at length with the Store Mgr, Craig, explaining what I witnessed and how disturbing it was, he said he would talk with the groomers. Craig was very nice and professional. One can only hope the groomers will be observed more closely when dealing with our precious fur kids. Dave seemed to do a good job on my dog, she was NOT groomed, (as in combing out tangled hair), but did get washing, nails done. When I watched from the store, he seemed to be taking great care with my dog. THANK YOU DAVE! The ONE STAR is for Dave--good job! and the store Mgr, Craig, for acknowledging my concern and addressing my complaint. I will not, however, be returning to Petsmart for anything.
