Love this little all in one pet store! Owners and staff are extremely knowledgeable and friendly to dogs and humans. Today I was just shopping for some birthday items to celebrate my boys 15th b day. Ended up getting the cutest bday bandana , b-day hat and cake to celebrate my babies b day. I'll come here again because they offer healthy items I can't get on Amazon and chewy and can provide great recommendations to keep my baby happy and healthy . Thank you Adriana for your help read more

Such a cute shop! Love the worker here Adriana. She is so sweet to us and my dog Ethel. She is ready at the treats. Great place to have near businesses if you need something for your pet on the go. I have gotten eye drops, wipes, treats, tried out new food, gotten a toy, and all accessories are so cute to look at. Lots of street parking nearby, and they are open decent hours so you can pop in. They revamped the store a little bit and it's more spacious. read more

I hit traffic and wasn't going to make it on time but I called and she opened up past closing for me on a Saturday night no less! I don't live close and I really needed a specific dog food that my 13 year old dog loves - so they saved the day. Food was great, also got some treats my dog loves, and the customer service was A+ read more

Had an amazing time walking in to this amazing dog and cat food/treat store. My wife and I came up from Mission Valley and strolled in meeting a great guy and his dog Bruno. He showed us some fun treats that we could bring home with us and was just an absolute pleasure Through and through Thanks for giving us a great experience that added to the highlight of our trip read more

Staff is sweet. But they have a limited selection of toys, I was hoping for more unique as well being a local shop. I can find most of the inventory on Amazon for less cost. read more

We love Deckers!!! They are so friendly and consistently provide the kindest customer service at both of their locations. Great selection of products & fun little treats/toys too - we will be lifetime customers read more

The pet shop has everything you need, everything being high quality. I was new to the area and the owner (cody) was so pleasant and very knowledgeable on what to best get my dog for her specific needs. I don't normally give reviews but he went above and beyond with customer service. I will be back again! read more

The folks at Decker's have always been very welcoming, kind, and helpful. We recently stopped in to find a longer lasting chew for our dog. One of the chews we recently tried (from another store) seemed to be too big/tough for him to chew and were recommended a no hide chew. We also purchased some trainer treats and really liked that these were single ingredient. The products at Decker's are high quality and our dog always loves what he gets. The staff is also very knowledgeable of their products and give great recommendations. In addition to treats and food, they also carry toys and some accessories. I recommend checking out Decker's if you're in the area! read more

Nina is amazing and very helpful! She's the reason why I would go back. They have a great selection of food and treats that other stores do not. They also have a dog washing area. One stop shop! read more

We went in to buy our Havanese a collar, leash, and name tag. We ended up also buying a harness and a couple goodie snacks. The sales associate was so personable, kind, and really helpful. We engaged in conversation and she was so informative. I really loved the experience. I especially loved the unique boutique like options for collars and leashes. read more

The owner was so helpful and sweet, she helped me move my things into my car just because she saw I was struggling. I will definitely come again!!! read more

Walking by, we were concentrating on finding a grassy are for our dog when a lovely lady ran out and handed us a flyer and coupon along with a bandana. She told us about their grand opening next weekend and that we can come in and check it out and shop now. After walking the dog and having lunch down the street, we came in. It was a lovely store with really nice folks who were just as nice to our dog. Got couple of things for our fur baby and will definitely be back soon. I love supporting local shops when they have the right attitude and love what they do. Will probably go back for the grand opening. read more

I found this store online and ordered food. I than called them a call. Their customer service is exceptional, and their prices are competitive. Later, I stopped by to look around in person. It's a small store, but the layout is well-organized and clean. I really appreciate that they offer free local delivery within a certain range. I be return customer for sure. read more

Our girl is an in-between sizes as a result it's difficult to find things that fit her properly. This is especially a concern when it comes to harness. A neighbor has a particular one from Italy for her pup. I looked up the brand. As I mentioned she's hard to size. I didn't want to waste time or money taking a chance. While on the site, I noticed Deckers sold them. This meant a good 30 minute drive to go see the items in "paw"son. We load the car with the pup and go. Upon arriving into the store, we are greeted by the owner. He's kind and assists us with finding the exact model I was looking to try. Seems this model has an odd stitching that would consistently rub on the pup's side. They have a wide selection neatly displayed. We keep looking. This allows the friendly gentleman to assist others while we shop. I'm able to overhear his kindness to each person who walks through the door. We weren't there too long to find the perfect harness to purchase and wear out the door. Before leaving, Luna is offered a treat. That's when I noticed they had a "chill" pup who was as quiet as a fixture. Cool dog = cool owner. If you are looking for items for your fur baby, this is the place to go! Luna loves it. You will too! read more

Beautiful store with so many healthy options! Cody was very knowledgeable & helped answer all questions. Highly recommend.

My puppy and I have been to many pet stores. This is the first store with a extremely friendly staff and Pleasant personnel. Thank you for all the help. Parking is available on the streets but is limited due to all the businesses in the area. Don't worry keep looking and you're bound to find one in a short amount of time. I usually go to a pet store near my house but since I was in the area I decided to stop by here, and I'm glad I did. This is going to be my new place to shop for my pets. We came here for Frozen raw food and they had a quite a selection. I usually buy bones and co raw dog food, but today the friendly staff member introduce me to bone broth. He described all the different bone broth that was available, he was very thorough and it showed that he was very knowledgeable. They have a very good selection of pet products and I will sure to return. read more

Such a great Crew here. Very Customer Service oriented and professional even if you're not a pampered furry buddy. The Village location is a charming little boutique, but still well stocked with only the best treats, accessories, toys and fur baby food options. Really appreciate how kind and friendly the Staff is. Plus the love Decker's showers on the community all year by providing donated food to less fortunate pups and kitty's, supporting fun animal and human activities like The Blessing of the Animals across the street, Pet Costume Contests and more. read more

When we moved San Diego finding dog food and toys was a high priority. Thankfully we kicked off our search and found Deckers right away. The owners are super helpful and accommodating and they even offer free delivery if you are in a certain radius. If you care about your pups and want to support local businesses give Deckers a try! read more

Great store for our pups. We have two French Bulldogs and had trouble finding them clothing. I ordered several things from Amazon and a few other stores but the measurements I would take versus what was displayed online never really quite matched up. My wife found this on Yelp so we decided to take a drive up to their store. The owners are very helpful. They helped the pups try on their hoodies to make sure it fit good with a tiny bit of room to grow into it. There is also a variety of food, treats/accessories to choose from. We are definitely going back to shop here for our fur babies. I also want to add their prices are comparable to what I would find online. Take that and the ability to try the clothing on, you save yourself a lot of time plus get to talk to cool people. read more

Finally, a competitive (and local) choice! Decker's is a locally owned and operated by Kensey and Cody Decker. They opened about four months ago and offer pet food, toys, and doggie daycare! When I visited, I expected to be price gouged. Yet their prices were within reason and they price matched the Stella and Chewy's freeze dried dog food that I saw elsewhere for less. I look forward to discussing their doggie daycare and babysitting as their pricing seems reasonable. They even offer it by the hour! I recently looked in to Rover and our La Jolla options either had poor facilities or felt overpriced. I hope that these guys do well. I know that I'll be coming by from now on! As I write this I am already contemplating coming back to buy some clothes for my pup. Thanks guys! I hope that you're here for a long time! read more

Whenever my partner, pup, and I travel, we love stopping in local pet boutiques to support small businesses and see what kind of accessories and treats they have. On our last trip to La Jolla, I stopped by Decker's to grab some chews for our dog to enjoy while we ate at outdoor restaurants and I ended up spending more time there than intended because of the variety of pet supplies and gifts they had. The store owner was super welcoming and you could tell how much they loved their pets. As you walk in, there are large pictures of their dogs hanging above the register and a ton of different treats, food, and fashionable pet accessories. My dog wasn't with me at the time, but I have bookmarked this spot and would love to bring her when we visit again. read more

Awesome place best stuff and beautiful store highly recommend. Come get your pet needs here

This place is awesome. I needed to get a special training harness with front attachment for my dog so he'd stop pulling on walks but didn't know where to start. The owner, Cody, was there and helped me pick out the right harness and size and adjusted it to fit my dog. He even showed me (multiple times) an easy way to take it on and off because it had 2 buckles and was a bit confusing. They also have a great selection of healthy treats without weird additives and Cody helped me pick out soft snacks because my old doggie is missing some teeth and picky eater. He said they even allow exchanges if your pet doesn't like the treat! If you ever need help from an actual real person, this store is the place to go! They are so nice. read more

I was in Decker's today with a stressed out woman and her son's dog. The woman thought the dog was scheduled for a bath there. However, her information was incorrect. A young Woman named Katelin was extremely caring and helpful. She called a bunch of other stores in the area to see if the dog had an appointment at any of them. The dog did not. Katelin was extremely nice and helpful to the lady. She's an amazing person. The owners should be extremely happy to have someone like her. read more

Cute pet store in La Jolla! I love stopping by here to get treats and supplies for my pup. The owners usually have their pets in the store which is a treat itself because they are so cute and friendly. They have a huge variety of pet products for dogs and cats. Prices are decent. Service is great. I make it a point to stop here when I'm in need of pet supplies, but also to help support small businesses! read more

Went to check out the store and we ended up finding really great stuff for our cats other big stores didn't have. The staff was super friendly and of course we engaged in cat talk (we have two cats). They were also very informative on the food and toys we were looking at (which our cats loved). If you have a pet other than a dog or cat, this might not be your shop as I feel this shop primarily focuses on those two pets:) But check out the website or give them a call if you have any concerns... 5 stars for me all day and actually heading there later today read more

I am so happy to have found Deckers! Kinsey and Cody Decker care about your pet and the products you need to make their lives better! I use to leave my dog, Lola, at camp Bow-Wow and it was good- cameras and lots of animals to keep her company. But nothing compares to the personal attention and affection Kinsey and Cody give her. And the connivence for me too! They are super flexible with drop off and pick up times (especially back in the days of flight schedules)! If you live in La Jolla Village or close, there is no better value or place to leave your beloved pet. And try to shop there too! Lets mindfully support local- these businesses need our support more than Amazon needs us right now! read more

We first came here due to my dog having bowel movement issues. Cody was absolutely super helpful and really cared about helping my dog. He made some suggestions to help change her diet and IT WORKED!!! My dog Anise now is on a regular diet from some raw food we get weekly from Decker's and has not had any stomach issues since! I also work at a boutique near by so Cody even stops by every Friday to drop her food off to me. Cody and Kinsey are an amazing asset to the La Jolla Village and we are so grateful to have them. If you are looking for a local dog store that can help you with all your needs and they even have a day care, then Decker's is the place to bring your sweet fur baby! read more

I found this place by chance after my physical therapy session a few doors down. It is a lovely pet boutique with very friendly and sweet owners who love animals! I was happy to learn that they do doggy day care and you can drop your dog off for an hour or 2 or all day, and it is very reasonably priced. They also do overnight boarding. My dog has been for day care twice already and he loves it. He plays with the other dogs and the owner takes them for walks.
