My kitty developed problems that Petco couldn't help with and I was forced to give Noah's another try. Things have indeed changed. Alex (and her husband) are the awesome owners of Noah's now, and if you have any problems Alex has solutions or will research them deeply on your behalf. Raw/fresh food diet, limited ingredient diet, supplements and treats... they have all the good stuff. Shasta has also helped me greatly with products to alleviate discomfort of my sweet little kitty-baby and aid in her nourishment and need for variety. I sing their praises now to everyone and am so grateful to have such a caring and supportive team of animal-loving individuals so close to where I live. They have helped me as much as, if not more than, my sweet girl's doctors. I kid you not. Noah's is awesome.

This salon is more like a chop shop. Very mediocre. We had called this groomer because she was located near by and we were hoping someone could take him on short notice. We had explicitly asked to keep our Westies hair long b/c he had recently had a shave and we are taking a trip to the east coat in the middle of winter. She had said about 1 or 2 hours. 3 hours later and my boyfriend picks up our dog and his hair is very short. We told her EXPLICITLY not to cut his hair short. His hair is also choppy. She said she was gonna trim the belly hair, which was fine, but she ended up taking almost all of his hair off!!! He doesn't even smell good. Usually my dog returns smelling wonderful, hair soft, and beautifully white. This was definitely not the case. I do not recommend this groomer. Now I have to pray my dog will grow his hair fast enough to be warm in the snow or else I'll have to force him to wear a sweater.

Cece was always kind and accommodating with her arthritis, as much as Kona shook as we checked her in. And my pup always looked and smelled amazing on the way out. Today, we brought in a new puppy for a nail trim and the groomers were sooooo sweet. Slow, quiet and kind. I was happily surprised at how well my dog did with the experience. He was also very understanding when I was talking about my Shih Tzu Bailey, that we lost at the first part of 2022. The store was nicely stocked. Everything was easy to find. They carry very nice & healthy brands. Yes, I could probably buy things a bit cheaper at Petco or Petsmart, however I would have never received this type of personal service & I wouldn't find some of these nice local brands there. I like to support small local businesses when I can. I bought several types of human grade training treats & a variety pack of some chewy things. My mom bought a sweater for her future grand puppy. I told her that she would be a better grandma if she knitted one, but I got a dirty look :) A puppy class was about to start, so we got to watch all the furry participants go in, which was so fun. It's easy to see from the many different fur-babies on the Second Chance website--different sizes, ages, colors, breeds and needs--that these dedicated folks are committed to their mission of saving and re-homing homeless dogs. Staff responded quickly to my application for a particular pup, and I very much appreciated their responsiveness and encouragement when I was too late applying for a few different doggies. When I expressed interest in a couple of dogs that were still awaiting a loving home, Second Chance quickly put me in touch with the foster moms so I could learn more about those particular dogs. The foster moms were amazing. They were very patient with me and generous with their time in answering all my questions. By working with Second Chance, I found exactly the right fur-baby for me. It's not just my little Izzy who has been given a second chance at a wonderful life. Izzy, thanks to Second Chance, has given the same chance to me.

I will continue to adopt from this organization that rescues dogs around SoCal shelters and TJ. My favorite adoption was Roscoe, a 10 yo diabetic min pin chi. I was happy to take on his medical needs and give him the best last days of his life. Never asked the rescue for a dime because they had already done their best for him. These volunteers put their own money and time while working with donations and the adoption fees. It's all 100 % done in the name of dogs. They are truly doing God's work. I pop in here every couple of weeks for Freshpet nuggets to top my pittie's kibble. My one struggle is that they don't always have the same products available, either because they're sold out or just not stocked, so I had to get a different type of Freshpet for her this time. I've also gotten her treats, toys, and other kinds of toppers here. Prices are generally on the higher side. They do have the Petco Rewards program but I've found that the rewards expire quickly and they're not always easy to access or use. So that's a bit annoying. The store is generally clean, there's plenty of parking, and the staff is helpful and friendly. While I do have a few minor gripes about the store, it has more positives than negatives. Mahalo!
