The razor burn on my dog's belly

Background: Haircut + top dog service at this grooming salon. I've been coming here for about a year now, tried different groomers to see different styles they could do with my bichon. My dog is very well behaved with groomers, always heard back that he did so well from groomers. Short review: Friendly store staff and manager in general but Irresponsible groomer with an attitude exist. if you want a friendly and professional groomer this isn't where you want to go. I usually don't complain to groomers about incidents that happen during the grooming as unexpected events can occur (such as bleeding while cutting nails). When I saw some marks on my dog's belly that looked like either a cut or burn, I took him back to the groomer to consult since I should know what happened in case it bothers him later throughout the day. The groomer, pulling the red area on the skin (repeatedly telling me oh this shouldnt hurt him, trust me I can do this and this doen't bother him) insisted that this 'skin irritation' will go away in couple of hours and it can happen because 1) dog's skin was too dry 2) allergic reaction 3) razor was not clean and overheated. It does sound like one of them but shouldn't groomer at least inform me when I'm picking up the dog, or apologize when I asked him about it at least? All three of the reasons sound like groomer's responsibilities to me. Clearly, if this never happened before with different groomers, it must have been someone's responsibility. Groomer kept denying on taking responsibilities for it, no apologies and asked me what do I want him to do. And told me that I can talk to his manager and he would tell me the same thing. I wasn't angry at him first but his attitude with this situation made me regret leaving my dog with an irresponsible groomer. Anything can happen with dogs while owners aren't watching and all we can rely on is that the groomer is a responsible and professional groomer. Oh also, he had some chunk of hairs on his back sticking out and none of my requests were done (plucking ear hairs, keeping ear hairs short) The store manager was very respectful and offered a full refund of the service. He understood that this is a very concerning situation for a dog owner and apologized. The groomer was rolling his eyes in the back while his manager was apologizing. I'm leaving this review because I won't be taking my dog to this grooming salon soley because of that groomer. Every other times I've had a great experience here with staffs but one irresponsible groomer can cause bigger accidents and I don't want to take that risk. Oh also I've never seen any groomers pulling on dogs neck so aggressively while grooming the face area. That can be a subjective comment, but out of all the groomers I've seen he was def the most aggressive. Dear groomer who gave my dog the worst haircut of his doglife, If you do read this review, you knew that you messed up somewhere and as a groomer you should be sympathetic to dog owner's concern with situations like this even if you think it's not a big deal. I wouldnt have called your manager (which you asked to do so) or leave a review if you would have admitted that this is a razor burn that YOU caused, apologized and explained that it shouldn't bother him too much. You admitted that you gave him an unfinished hair cut and offered to do his cut again. I dont know if it's because you were in a rush or other dog owners visiting this store were nice enough to not complain but please have some professionalism. Unless you think petsmart groomers don't need that professionalism then I guess I just went to the wrong place.

This place isnt how it used to be before as in before covid 19.. There are extremely very few live pet animals on display, very small amount of fish, most tanks are empty or have depressing settings.. I needed help finding out some info but every associate seemed busy talking to each other or to someone.. Im guessing most people go there to buy animale's food and some basic pet necessities..

Was in the store before 7pm, i did not know the store was closing The women at the register told me that the register is closed and cannot take my payment . She told me that she is the manager and could not re open the register lol Good luck for that store to stay open with that type of customer service I guess no regret by buying online , was just trying to help local business unfriendly staff (2) that night ,not worth it

I read books on dog training, watched countless youtube videos, and spoke with a number of friends who were dog owners to soak in any tips or tricks that could lend my pup to be the most obedient servant... F.Toast bum bum bum bum. Well... "I looked back on where I failed, and in every place I checked, the only common thread has been my [certain inept]" Now, I was able to train toast on a handful of things: Sit, down, paw, stay ohhhhhhhh ohhhh (even before Biebs made it popular), and a handful of other commands. But there were still big problems. When anyone... literally anyone comes over my home, Toast wants to greet them, cuddle with them, jump on them, slide into the room, put her paws around them... lol. One thing she does not do is run away ;) I don't know why this review has turned into 100 hidden song references... but I'm just gonna go with it. So, after 2 years of owning Toast I decided to call in professional help. But that isn't the whole story. The whole story is after about 1.5 years of owning toast I reached out to Tomas online and he was like, great, let's set up a phone call! And then I waffled and waffled and forgot to call him. Then I was embarrassed about so much time had passed... and then the time just got longer that I didn't schedule that phone call. And then maybe 4 months after I originally had reached out... I wrote him an apology email and he was like.. "It's ok! Let's chat!" Me: Smiling face with sweat emoji on temple. So I schedule one training session with him, and I have to be honest. I think that this should be called a consultation. We were chatting more about the goals, Toasts behaviors, etc then really getting into the nitty gritty hands on training. Which is FINE! I mean... we 100% needed that session to really start to map out how we were going to work together. But... I will say we probably did equal to or more diagnosis then hands on training. So I was a TINY bit apprehensive to schedule more training sessions. BUT I took a leap of faith, and it couldn't have paid off more handsomely. After that first session/consultation, we've done nothing but hands on training during the entirety of our sessions. I scheduled 3 more sessions with Tomas after that initial consultation/training and each one has been jam packed with learnings, eye opening experiences, and most importantly growth in my dog Now if you've researched dog training before, you'll likely know that you're really training yourself as well as the dog if not more. And one of the MOST important things is repetition of the trainings. Also... basically training your dog is a complex pattern of bribing your dog with a near endless amount of small rewards. So, get ready with a lot of small treats just FYI. Tomas has been a joy to work with. He's very even keeled, he models the training and then puts you in the hot seat (which is 100 percent completely necessary in training)... I mean... for anything to work you're gonna have to continue to train after Tomas leaves. Tomas lays the foundation... and you start building the home. Hopefully a home one day where my puppy will immediately go to her bed and stay there when guests come in. We're getting better and better, but it will take a little time... and some tenderness. One day "We'll walk upon the water, we'll rise above the mess" He is receptive, easy to work with, punctual, returns messages and phone calls promptly. He has been an absolute pleasure to work with. He has a sense of humor. I mean... definitely high recommendations for working with him. The guy knows what he's doing and it's quite obvious. And btw when I said Tomas lays the foundation... basically he's one of those new fancy 3D Printer concrete robots that builds a house in like 16 hours lol. Arn't those SO cool btw? I love watching those videos. Anyways, definitely giving my full endorsement. I found Tomas on Yelp here when I was looking for dog trainers, and I will add my voice to the small handful of very positive reviews already on his page. Looking forward to continuing to work with him. We have our 5th session next week. Definitely one of the best investments in myself and my puppy I've made in sometime.

Initially we checked out the Ridgeside Instagram account and then after contacting them for additional information we decided to sign Flossie up for the 3 week board & train program. Gina picked up Flossie and for the next three weeks we got pictures and videos every day of Flossie's training progress plus also information for us to learn about the training. All of this made the transition back home easy and seamless. Gina's instructions were clear and concise and she also made sure that we understood the hows and the whys of training. Since Flossie has been home Gina reached out to see how things were going and said she was available if we had any follow up questions.
