I've been using this store for a decade. Today was my last day using them. They took the price from $31 per night to $47. That's gouging. They now add a play fee regardless if you want your dog assimilated with other dogs. I've never had any problem with staff. It's the corporate call to raise prices. Goodbye read more

We had called petsmart to see if they had a place where we can come in and wash our dog. We called them 3 times the first after being on hold for ages they picked up the phone and while I was talking they hung up. The 3rd time I was on hold for about 6 minutes. There are 2 PetSmarts in this town. The one off Archer Rd. is ok. It is in a very high volume shopping plaza, which makes it convenient for a lot of people, but also makes it very pedestrian heavy and loud. Almost every weekend they have adoptions from various local agencies or organizations and it gets very overwhelming. The second location in the Millhopper shopping plaza is much smaller, carries the same products, but very much more personable and less stressful, esp. for sensitive dogs. The staff for both locations are helpful and friendly, but if you are not rushed, have a sensitive dog or young pup you are trying to socialize, I recommend the smaller store. You will get a much better experience. read more

The location is nice as it is convenient to a number of other stores. There are many times I have stopped here to get pet supplies, hardware (at Home Depot), office goods (at Office Depot), and general stuff (at Target). It gets 2 stars just for being in a good location! The prices are constantly higher (sometimes much higher) on just about everything here vs going to most other places that carry it, unless there is a sale. I can understand the cost as they have to support a bricks and mortar store, employees, etc, but sometimes things are double or triple here vs online and a good 10% or so more than some other stores in the area. On a side note, the Banfield in the particular location is great. read more

Took my dog to be groomed, staff was very respectful and took the effort to pronounce my dogs name correctly and treated her very kindly even when she was scared. Very empathetic and professional. The best way to describe Petsmart is that it's like a giant Wal-mart for your little animal friends. They have a lot of choices for dog food, bedding, leashes, etc., etc. When I lived with my folks, I'd take my dogs there for shots, grooming and training classes. One of my dogs had a bad habit of sleeping under pine trees and getting the thick tree sap into her fur. I tried everything to remove it, but I had to cave in and take her to the professionals to take it all out. It took 2 hours but they shaved, clipped and shampooed their way through the sticky sap and out marched my happy clean dog. read more

I have brought my 80# German Shepherd in on and off for the past year and it has been a pleasure to use their Pet Hotel. Why, you ask? 1) They obviously care for my dog and enjoy having her there; I can tell. 2) They treat her with kindness and appreciation; She licks their face if they get close enough. She reportedly plays fetch with them with great vigor. 4) She comes home clean, chipper, and happy. I have left her at Pet Hotel twice now for 3-5 days and she appeared to have done fine both times. She is still dog aggressive and when they tried twice to let her mingle with other dogs in Doggie Day Camp (I still had hopes she would get along) but the second time she went ballistic and that ended that. She stays by herself and watches some TV (maybe?). it may not be perfect but no place would be as good as home read more

Terrible customer service. They kicked my dog out of day Because he was playing like dogs do, but they thought he was too rough. I asked them to give me specific examples of what rough play constitutes and they were unable to do so. I have been going to Petsmart Pet Hotel in another city since my dog was six months old and he's currently almost 7 and I've never had a problem with any other facilities. If my dog is never had a problem but it must mean that the staff there under trained to deal with dogs. When she told me my dog cannot come back she had a very cavalier attitude and unfortunately misrepresents the Petsmart brand. I would not recommend the Petsmart Hotel at this location. read more

I had my dog stay over night in the Pet Hotel and I don't believe she was cared for properly. When I picked her up her mouth was really wet like she just drank A LOT of water on the way to the door to get picked up then when we got home she practically ran to her water bowl. That showed me she didn't have enough to drink in the 35 hours she was there. Also the "report card" that they gave me,they didn't go over it with me like they do at other Pet Smart Pet Hotels do. When I got home I saw why. They didn't fill ANY of it out. I didn't notice ANY dogs there when I dropped her off and only one checking out as I picked my dog up. I thought that was strange as there are always a lot of dogs at any of the other stores. I can't help but to wonder if they gave her day camp ( I paid for 2 days of it) or if they gave her the treats I paid for.Since they didn't tell me anything or fill out that report card. I'm just visiting the area so I know next time NOT to bring my dog here. I'd spend time looking for alternatives like I should have done in the first place. Leaving your dog here would be a mistake. Only reason for one star is because I can't do zero stars! We took our dog in for a grooming appointment at 7:30am. She wasn't done until 1:30!!! She is a medium sized 40 pound dog with normal fur. I don't know why it took 6 hours! Either their booking system is wildly inaccurate for time estimated per cut or their groomers just suck. Probably the groomers considering when we pulled up at the store around noon (because that's how long it usually takes) the groomers were all outside smoking cigarettes and or sitting on the curb. This today was my first time in a petmart and also will be my last.upon entering the store it seemed okay until I made my way to where the fish were and needless to say I was in shock at the level of the lack of attention they give thier tanks.It was disgusting the amount of dead goldfish in the tank and also the amount of fish crammed in that tank.I left and will not be returning to that petsmart! read more

Employees care. Trainers are good. Cashiers are fast and caring. Their house brand (Authority) is inexpensive but better than expensive national brands like Science Diet and Eukanuba but at a fraction of the cost. Terrible customer service and staff is extremely rude. Employees are not trained properly to handle dog interactions while playing and label them as aggressive. I've sent my dog to Petsmart for over 5 years and recently at the Jackson, MS location was told he is aggressive and can no longer attend camp. However, there if employees knew how to control dogs this would be a non issue. Dogs play rough. Period. There was no injury involved. My dog is lovable and has a great temperament. I think it was person because the manager of the Petshotel, Misty, never liked me. I am a frequent customer and my dog attends day camp regularly and to be treated like this is unacceptable! read more

The only reason I'm giving 1 star is because 0 stars is not an option. Beware of leaving your pets here....my sisters dog was hurt intentionally. They advertise that they have surveillance, but be warned, it's not everywhere and there are plenty of places that an animal can be mistreated without be seen. The take way too many animals than can be cared for...apparently money is more important than appropriate care. Also, during the holidays they hire seasonal workers because of the large number of animals they take....we believe it was a seasonal worker that hurt my sisters dog. read more

The Pets hotel we boarded our 4.5 month old dog was not very accommodating. They were suppose to call and follow up with me on the dog's shots and contact our vet, as they promised they would the two times I spoke with them, and they did not. Because they did not, they boarded our pup in the most expensive crate options without informing us. When my husband went to pick up our dog, they charged us an extra $150 without our knowledge. Needless to say, we will never ever board our animals there for any reason whatsoever. read more
