Ya'll this woman did something awful to my dog and I know she did! Keep your animals away! First off I just had surgery and needed my dog cut short and bathed because I won't be able to for a few weeks. I even told her this and tipped her before hand. She returned him 5 hours later with only his back shaved. Then a couple days later he started shaking his head hard and we took him to the vet and he had gotten two types of bacteria ear infection in his ears and he has never had ear infections before. (Cost me 300 dollars) I'm guessing she never dried his ears out. I texted her telling her this and how i was upset and she never even replied. Then because of the ear infections and not being able to brush there, and that it was long from her not cutting him, his ears got super knotted. I took him to his normal groomer and he was not acting his normal self and was acting traumatized the groomers had to even call me to tell me that he was trying to bite,crying,and was scared. He has been going to that groomer for half a year and never had issues. Then his groomer had to completely shave all the fur off his ears. This lady Lisa at groom room traumatized my dog. My groomer even said to me they have had many clients complain about this place. Which btw groom room doesn't exist because apparently her shop got closed for being unhygienic she does it at her house now. I had no idea til i talked to some people. Not to mention she just got my review deleted off of google. I don't normally leave reviews for businesses but no one should be taking their dogs to this lady. read more

I've been dog-sitting a friend's Havanese for quite a while now, and he was well overdue for a grooming. After looking at the multiple places in the vicinity, I took Porter to A Groom Room. He will normally freak out after leaving the grooming shop and we'll hide under the bed for a week, but I could tell that they must have treated him differently than other groomers because he was just as happy and normal after the experience, and all of his matted hair was removed, as well as his nails being trimmed properly. He had to be shaved a little closer than normal, but it was because it has been months since he's been groomed before. They took good care to ensure that all of his matted hair was removed but that he still looks great! I would highly recommend that you at least give a groom room a try with your fur babies. I'm not sure what all of these bad reviews are about because my experience at the groom room was wonderful! Lisa got me in right away for my two dogs last minute and they looked great! I also board them with her. She's very affordable too for everything she includes in her grooming price. I'm bringing mine back next week read more

The Groom Room did a horrible job on my dogs. Shaved them when I specifically asked for them to comb them out. They did reduce the bill, but their poor cuts still override any cost reduction. read more

I had previously given Groom Room a five star review because of my dog's experience with grooming. We had our dog boarded there while we were out of town because of the great experience I had. I can honestly say that I hope this place gets shut down soon. I have never in my life had an experience like I had when I picked my dog up. When I got there to get him, Lisa (the owner) wasn't there. A girl who said she was hired three days ago was. I asked for my dog, and she brought me my dog. I then asked for his things, and she said "well, what kind of things?" I had brought a blanket, three toys, a leash, and a five pound bag of food for him. She couldn't find any of it, which I assume means he didn't have his things in his kennel with him the entire weekend. Did he just sit there all day with nothing to remind him of home? Was he fed? It might sound dramatic, but when you think of your dog as your child, it's very concerning to think about him being abandoned and since they couldn't find any of his things, it sounds like he was abandoned. Also, I couldn't pay at the time that I picked him up because the owner wasn't there and she was the only one with a payment system and so my husband had to go back later today and pay. When he got there, they had found most of his things (not his food, though). She also said that they have been "rearranging the shop" and put my dog under the counter during the day so that they could watch him because "he's cute." Under the counter? Their counters are standard cabinets, with doors all along them. So was my dog in a cabinet all day? Once again, this may sound dramatic to some, but to me it's not. She lost about $15 worth of food, but she also lost my respect, my referral, and me as a customer. No dog or human deserves to be treated like that. They are completely irresponsible and this needs to be known so others know not to go there. Shortly after I posted this review on multiple social media platforms, I received a call from Lisa, the owner. She began the conversation by calling me a liar and telling me that my review was wrong. I hung up the phone after about one minute of being harassed and called names. She also called me a liar on other social media platforms, such as their Facebook page. She also told me I was a "sad" person. I'm sorry, but that's not how you reconcile a situation that you created, Lisa. I used to be a loyal customer to you. I brought my dog in several times for grooming. In no way am I a liar. In no way am I "sad." Your business and the way you conduct yourself are sad. Lisa denied calling me on the phone and I posted my phone record under my review and only then did she apologize for "one of her employees" calling me. It wasn't an employee - it was her. She has also been creating Yelp profiles to post reviews (or telling people to create accounts to post reviews) as well as making her employees post fake reviews, which was proven when one of her former employees commented on my Facebook review telling me that Lisa asked her to post a review. read more

Probably the worst experience I've ever had with a groomer.....called and set up appointment with the owner who seemed pretty nice....dropped off my dog at 9:30am this morning with the owner's assistant.....owner calls me at 10:30am to say she was "on her way" to the shop. Called at 1:30pm to see if my dog was ready....they advised me to give them 35 more minutes....I called back again and they said to wait another 15 minutes.....I got a call almost an hour later saying she was finally ready at 3:00pm. When my Husband brought my dog home it looked like a haircut we could have done ourselves. To top that off, we didn't even get the $5.00 for new customers that we were promised. NEVER AGAIN. Love the owner!! She treats my dog like her own. So accommodating! Wouldn't take my dog anywhere else.
