My best PET store in Lincoln County! Only today I expanded my curiosity by walking around & checking out what else they've got beside dog leashes & cigarettes. My main visit today was for name tags for my 10 week old brothers (Denali & Luca). The choice of tag I used astounded me when the employee said that the tiny tag can write up to 4 lines plus the backside. I was super shocked & relieved because my boy's necks/ body weight are the tiny size & not a more strong-like neck (like that of a dog or adult cat) such as a larger sized tag, which I was sure I needed to fit the long names. If anyone needs a find I'd recommend Mini Pet Mart (especially, for instance, cheapest cigarettes & their friendliest customer service) if pet supplies are being searched. read more

My friend's dog get groomed here regularly and have high praises but this is my first time using this PetSmart's grooming services at this location. Eli did great with my Australian shepherd Wrigley! She listened to my concerns and confirmed my service needs and was very communicative about my expectations and grooming preferences. Wrigley is generally good with grooming, just not a big fan of the dryers. Eli has previous experience with Aussies and did a great job with him! He came out fresh and clean and extra soft! The pricing is very reasonable as well for a dog his size and needs. There was also an option of paying online instead of taking it to the cashier and coming back to pick up which is nice. We will bring him back to get groomed by Eli again for sure! read more

I do love this store. Not only is it right next to my favorite (kidding) grocery store Albertsons...it is still super convenient. I had a Bed Bath and Beyond moment yesterday. You know those 20% coupons that 3B mails to you every week? It turns out you don't even need them. It basically works on the honor system. If you say you have them, their employees believe you and...BOOM 20% off So as it happens, our puppy's birthday was last month and Pet Smart sent us a couple coupons to "Celebrate". Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get to the store before they expired (May 10th). I brought them with me anyway and before I started shopping I asked the cashier if they would accept them. She was unsure and said she would have to ask her manager. I got what I came for (Rachel Ray Nurtrish) dog food, and a little something else. Turns out that the manager approved the $10 off of $50 purchase coupon so basically the extra pork bone was free! Gracie loved it, she was gnawing on it all night. Just wanted to shout-out Tania P for the Bath & Brush she did on our large goldendoodle. It was a last minute, much needed grooming after our beach trip. She took extra time trimming his eyes and paws & sanitary even though that's not what we booked for- and realized we needed once the time came around. She brushed him out so well, he was a tangled hot mess when we brought him in. He came out so clean and soft and finally smelling good after a long weekend! We have a super happy dog & we're incredibly happy with the work she did. Our appointment was also the last of the night and she still took the effort and care to do such an amazing job! read more

Was a little frazzled last night because my dog had surgery yesterday and I came into petsmart because I needed to buy ace bandage type thing to cover the stitches so he wouldn't mess with them. I walked in and walked around looking for it...mind you not one employee offered to help. I then hunted down an employee who was having a personal conversation with another employee. I asked the female if they have any and she pointed towards the back of the store saying it's over there. Did another lap and couldn't find it. I asked her again and she walked me ten steps from where she was when the other employee finally spoke up and said that they were out. The two employees then started going back and forth whether or not it was in stock. I walked out and drove to petco. Petco was waaaay more helpful! Sad that employees truly don't feel it necessary to assist customers. Brick and motor stores are a dying breed with competing against chewy.com and Amazon...with service like this I can see why. read more

If you plan on buying fish, DO NOT BUY from this location. This store does not take care of their live tanks, and there is black algae growing throughout their system. You do not want to bring this into your aquarium, and they should be ashamed of having a department as poorly cared for as this. This has been an ongoing problem at the Hillsboro PetSmart for over a year now and I finally decided to leave a review to inform others. I brought my cat here to be groomed, I was told they had a very experienced cat groomer. I explained my cat had never been around dogs and he is a grumpy cat. He was doing good, she was able to get the leash around him and started cutting his nails with no problem when another groomer walked over with a dog and started grooming the dog on the table next to my cats spot. My cat naturally hissed at the dog, the groomer got scared and put a cone on my cat which was okay, he hissed again at the dog and she got angry and threw her hands in the air and said she refused to get scratched and be hissed at. She picked my 22lb maincoon cat up by the scruff without supporting his body and made him cry and then roughly put him in his crate. She is clearly not experienced with cats and should not be trying to groom them if she is afraid of them. Anyone knows you don't mix cars and dogs in the same area especially if they are not used to being around one another. I did reach out to Persmart regarding this but they have failed to respond to me. read more

This store cost me three trips today over one bag of dog food. I will never go back unless I am DESPERATE. Trip #1 - ordered my dog food online. Petsmart.com said it was in stock. Did the curbside pickup. Drive all the way home and realize they gave me the wrong kind of dog food. Trip #2 - Take the dog food back. Checked store inventory. They do not have the 34lbs bag in stock. Ask for a gift card so I can order online. Associate gives me a gift card. I drive all the way home. Attempt to order online. Punch in the gift card and petsmart.com states gift card has zero dollar balance! Huh? Reading the gift card closer and it says IN STORE ONLY. Call store and manager says to come in and exchange it for the right kind of gift card?? Trip #3 - Take the gift card back. I suggest to associate to just give me two 18lbs bags of dog food and call it good. Associate agrees and I go home thoroughly annoyed. Never again especially over dog food. I brought my goldendoodle in on Sunday. I was told she'd take the full three hours due to her size, at 4.5 hours I called and was told the groomer had just finished. I came to pick her up and the groomer told me she was "wiggly". On the way to the car I notice my dog was walking funny but thought maybe it was the cold rain on her exposed feet... when we got home our usually active 18 month old dog laid down and was licking her foot. I looked at it and saw that she had spots on this and her other 3 paws where the pads had been shaved off. These photos are same day and don't show the cuts between the pads. Today is Monday and she won't walk or get up. I had to carry my 65lb dog outside so she will go to the bathroom. I put her cone on so she can't lick last night and will call the vet tomorrow, but I will never take her back here again. There is NO way the groomer didn't see this and she did it on every paw. read more

The grooming services at my local Pet Smart are great. I have a large Newfoundland dog that gets the Thurminator treatment, lots of work for the groomer and the dog; luckily for over a year now I am able to get the same groomer. My dog is nice and clean and is in a great mood this lady is doing a phenomenal job. read more

I needed a place to take my pit bull to get a bath and her nails trimmed. I thought I would give Petsmart a try since other family had good experiences with them in the past. I was never able to get my dog groomed because they canceled and rescheduled my appointment.. 3 times! Each time they canceled, they claimed they just didn't have enough time. I'm not sure if we we're just unlucky or if there was prejudice cast onto my pit but me and my pup have never been treated so unfairly. Please don't take your animals here for grooming! It's a chaotic mess to try to get your pet in for an appointment. read more

I called them to ask them to check if they have a specific vet prescribed food in stock. My vet recommended them as suppliers in portland are out of stock. They were unwilling to check if they have it in stock and said they don't have capacity to do stock checks right now- and the person I spoke to sounded chaotic and overwhelmed. I feel for the employees, seems pet smart is keeping the store severely under staffed. read more

I have had dogs requiring grooming for better than 45 years, I had a wonderful groomer, but she retired, I was having such a hard time finding an "in home" groomer, and always steered clear of Petsmart due to their history and bad reviews, On 3/26/21 gave Petsmart a try and I had an awesome grooming experience, since there was a delay in finding a groomer I was worried because my dogs had become very matted.... But worried for nothing because Jessie at Petsmart did a wonderful job! I even tipped, $20.00 for each dog (2), then promptly scheduled their next appointment for May 28. When we showed up with both dogs I was told somebody made an error and the appointment was never scheduled I did have an appointment card but it didn't make any difference there was no appointment there would be no grooming that day the visit was rescheduled for 19 June; showed up bright and early with both dogs in tow to be told the groomer had called out and would not be in that day; describing to Dylan that this was a reschedule due to an error he and Faith worked tiredlessly to come up with an accommodation which included having the dogs groom that day he had to wait for the main groomer to show up to tell me the time; and was overjoyed when we found out that Jessie would be present that day, that joy soon faded when Jessie took her wrath out on me! for being double booked. I attempted to explain that I was OK with the dogs not being done that day just needed a new time before I knew it she had called Dylan who asked me to get my prepaid money refunded and to leave Jessie's presents! I did call Monday to speak to the manager who said "she heard the whole story didn't know what to tell me and if I tried to take it to corporate "nothing would happen there either" If you are "ok" with this kind of experience, this is your place. read more

Had $80 worth of fish tank stuff in my cart... went to buy two 1" gold fish for a 3.5 gal tank and the girl working there kept saying that tank was too small for them. Put everything back and left. Weird how these salespeople have no problem selling feeder fish all day but suddenly care about having a 10 year tank size plan for 1" gold fish. We're now heading to a different pet store to hopefully have a less opinionated clerk for a 1" fish buying experience. read more

I love our vet, Banfield, inside this location. We live about an hour away but don't want to change. Today we took our puppy in for her comprehensive exam at 8:45. We understood this exam can take most of the day so we headed back home. As we were about to pull into our driveway the doctor called with all the results. He said all was good and she was ready for pickup. They knew we had a long drive but didn't know we were not staying in town. When I told him it would be a little while before we got back, he said no problem we will keep cuddling her! Just love all the staff!! read more

I thought this was a cool store since they have helpful employees. But things have changed ever since my last purchase here. ****CAUTION**** Buyer BEWARE! They sell outdated doggie food here (i.e. canned food). I usually mix my dog's food 1/2 wet food from a can and 1/2 dry food. I picked up some cans the other day not realizing that they were EXPIRED. I recommend for those who are buying dog food at this location, to check the expiration date. Unfortunately my dog was throwing up the food he ate later into the day and it was because the canned stuff was expired. I ended up throwing away all the cans I bought (whew it was only 3 that I bought) and went somewhere else to buy UNEXPIRED canned food. The employees here are really nice. I give them that. But I think they should be checking the products that they have on the shelf because nobody wants their four-legged friend to be vomiting for no reason!!! Not sure if I"ll be buying dog food from here. If so, I'll be surely checking those expiration dates. I thought you guys were PetSMART???? I'm not sure about this location....... read more

This is a location near my work. I have been here 5-6 times now. I am very impressed with the stores cleanliness and they usually always have in stock what I need. The workers are friendly and always greet me right away. The fish selection here is comparable to other Pet stores. I do appreciate the fact that they keep their tanks clean. The aisles are easy to navigate and labeled appropriately. The pricing is good for most of the items. I shop here mainly for my dogs and sometimes fish food. They have a good selection of dog/ cat and fish supplies. I will continue to shop here. read more

Very rude and professionally inappropriate staff in the bathing area. First asked to disallow my dog to enjoy the company of another friendly, then the same individual, refused service because I mentioned my dog went to the vet a day ago, yet didn't have supporting paperwork. My comment is that a vet wouldn't perform a check up without ensuring his shots are up to date but I don't know which shots because my gf took him. Keep in mind we go to this location monthly. Then as I'm leaving as I don't want to leave my dog there, and I'm with my 2 year old nonetheless, they say, hoping I can't hear, "And we don't want you back". We will absolutely never come to this location again. I think they forget, for about the same price someone can drive up and do a better and far more comprehensive job. read more

Their selection of food is they typical chain selection, with Iams and other terrible companies that test on animals on their shelves. They also sell animals, which I don't really like. If they could switch to adoption it would be much better for the animals. They have grooming and vet services, which I cannot comment on. We've taken our dogs here for grooming for a few years now. The staff is always fairly friendly, and it's very nice that they can pull up our previous services/make notes about preferences on the computer. They have cut too close/not enough a few times, but overall we have been pretty happy with the outcome. My dogs freak out if I try to cut their nails so I have them Dremmel their nails and am typically pleased with this, as well. Each dog gets a report card which is pretty cute. The price is on par with other groomers in the area, and I don't plan on changing groomers anytime soon. read more

Nature Zone Bites for Tortoises. I used to purchase these all the time at this PetSmart. This location was convenient because it's on my drive home. BUT...they stopped carrying them. They don't stock a similar product, which means I won't be shopping here anymore. That being said, the employees are very helpful here. They match coupons from Petco, which has been very useful in the past. I actually like their store and atmosphere a lot better than my experiences with Petco in the past. read more

Take one of our pups here to get groomed here on the regular. Jesse the groomer is the ony person other then the Vet that is able to trim our dogs toe nails. Petsmart's prices are not ideal, but they do a good job and are quick, friendly and professional. Make sure to bring cash if you'd like to tip your groomer. read more

To Start..groomers are using headphones which tones out barks or listening to music while attending to your pet. How will they know the pet is uncomfortable. Asked for Services I didn't get. They had 2 dogs there 3 workers. They said 2,5hrs. Called me 45mins OKAY!!I WENT FOR THE FIRST TIME DUE TO PETCO NOT HAVING AN OPENING. *HUGE MISTAKE...I Starting Coughing and felt like I had hair in my throat by the time I left. I really didn't appreciate Cat's attitude tonight while I was there. When I asked her what something rang up as I kindly pointed out that it was ringing up wrong since it was in the clearance section. She very rudely replied with how am I supposed to know and then she hissed and rolled her eyes at me so I replied because I just told you??And said that I had no problem going and taking a picture for her she replied YEAH WELL you're going to HAVE TO. I said ok! I will. I brought it back and the thing they tried to charge me $8.99 for was actually only supposed to be $3.27. Which is fine I just didn't need all the extra attitude with it. I came in for pet supplies tonight and alls I got was poor customer service. I also came up to have them price check something that wasn't marked and I had to sit and wait for two other employees to sit and gab back and forth laughing about something and then finally they helped kind of by telling me that it was regular price and not on clearance even know they had about 20 other of the same thing sitting on the clearance end cap rack that they have in the small animal department. Today my pet was turned away due to her age as they didn't want any liability of grooming her and told me to go to the vet for bathing and grooming. Mainly because her left rear leg is showing signs of weakness. I've been going to them for years and nothing until now was spoken of in the recent visits. Looks like I'll be saving the long trips, time and money getting her groomed by them. A bit surprised and disappointed, this shows low confidence in their performance of minor issues. She stands and walks without major issues, it's only on slick polished floors where walking may make it difficult for anyone or dog. read more

This is really a mixed experience from store to store. I'm part of the Banfield wellness program and have been taking my dog here for the past couple years without issue. They do want to sell you just about every service and run EVERY test so, you have to pick and choose. As far as supplies, they carry all the mainstream stuff. I took my dog here for grooming and they did a great job. Her shedding is out of control and I had them do the furmenator treatment and it's been so much better. They got her nails trimmed down properly and she was really brushed out. (I've had problems with other groomers in the area not brushing her out). Very happy so far. read more
