Stopped in to check this place out, I drive by it all the time when we go to get our RV. I was presently surprised of the variety of goods available including an entire upstairs of clothing. Pet supplies (farming supplies of course too) , hardware, gardening, RV supplies, Holiday gifts too. The staff was super friendly from the aisles to the check stand. Plesant and helpful while I browsed the aisles for a few items. The prices in the store were very reasonable too, I will start making this a stop for things I need for sure. read more

I absolutely love this store! They aren't just for farmers. I get pet dog/cat food there, yard and garden supplies, canning supplies, and a lot more. And many things I didn't know I needed, like a huge selection of Traeger supplies and Yeti's. They have very competitive prices and Tuesday is senior day for an additional 10% off and they have a rewards program too. The staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. They will help you load any purchases large or small. If something is out of stock they will let you know when they expect it next. Worth the short drive. read more

I told your co worker you were being a bitch to me. she said that wasn't very nice to say .. I agreed , told her the birds I wanted and how Manny and went to check out . Rosa said I need the birds to check out so we watered at witch time I asked I you were new "no over 5 years" you should not have defended your treatment of me , when your co-worker showed up with out my chicks and I saw 5 other folks waiting and decided the you girls would prefer not to do Business with me and so that is the way it will stay. As my family points out, there are two farm stores in Cornelius: One for clothes, candy, Christmas gifts and "rural camouflage" and the other for actual farm stuff. This is the latter. My family came out here from Jersey and, years later, have transformed from urban dwellers with Topsy Turvy Tomato hangers on their balcony to livestock owners. They take in rescues who didn't make weight at the county fair, and these folks need a bunch of pellet, grain, bedding and grass. For years, my family made the same mistakes most people in their position do: Overpaying for pressed bales that are typically for travel, asking store floor people for assistance when they have little knowledge of the product, and assuming that when one store is out of something, they all are. During the pandemic, my family's approach changed quickly. With supply chain issues spiking prices and their regular farm store suddenly short on everything, the fam went a bit further down TVH and found a place they should've been coming the whole time. Wilco has clothes and other items, but you have to go to a top floor to access them. The bottom floor is strictly farm goods. While the selection of bagged feed doesn't quite match the competitors down the street, both bagged pellet and two-tie is in much higher supply here for a bit less. Wilco seems to know this, and has taken to wooing new customers with a rewards plan that asks only for your phone number and coupon mailers that basically give away everyday items like 5-gallon buckets. While the shop isn't lit up like a '90s Target and doesn't play the modern Nashville hits of their try-hard competitors down the road, it prioritizes immediate needs and somehow mastered the pandemic-era supply chain. I don't think my family's going to stop going to the other place they've started calling Trimmers 'n' Guns, but their feed and bedding runs have definitely shifted a few miles down the road. When you're keeping animals alive, having a dependable source for all of their needs is important. If a shop is going to value that over seasonal yard sales and propane fills, it's going to be worth even a reluctant farmer's time. read more

We went to get outdoor fall decorations after calling to see what they had. The hay bales were weird shapes, and the corn stalks were moldy.

Sally a groomer I followed here from Pet Smart still is the best dog groomer I've ever had. The phone says the pet grooming dept is closed. But when we last were there only 1 groomer per day and the dogs in and out. Very clean. Sally if you are working elsewhere please let me know. Dougal misses you too!! read more

I shop Wilco often. Yesterday I went to FM to look for Corn for our squirrels:12.99, a box. I found corn (same) on the cob 6.50 larger bag. Then a "happy-friendly" young man asked if he could help. I showed him what I had in the cart and he suggested buying a larger quantity for less per pound. I then traded that 6.50 bag for 29.99 and got a whole lot more for less per pound. I appreciated the friendly help and my squirrels seem to be much happier with daily supply of cobbs to ravish and attack with vigor and enthusiasm !!! 5 stars, is that enough? 6 read more

I am a rewards customer and purchased a large item. Normally they ask for my information before ringing up but this clerk did not do this. In order for me to get my rewards credit on this large purchase they would have to charge me again and wait 5 days for a refund. The manager was cold and not caring at all. As a senior citizen on (yes) a fixed income I can not afford to be charged twice on my card and wait 5 days for a refund on a large purchase. Also, the manager indicated that "Dewalt" did not give them enough batteries for the buy a tool and get a free battery sale and it is not their problem but Dewalts. read more

Wilco is a great place to buy farm supplies. I buy things like wooden fence posts, concrete, and fence here and they deliver it the locations within a distance for free (if farther then there is a delivery fee). This makes it quite easy to get the stuff that I want to the location that I need. I personally do not like to buy the living animals (hens) that they have here. They are mass-produced, stored in too-small pens, and not as healthy seeming as what I see at some smaller providers. The clothes they sell are just too hic. getting dirty and doing manual work is fine by me, but don't make me look like I can't count to 3. Overall a good store, but for a purpose. read more

Like the name says they sell farm supplies. Also in the spring, you can find baby ducks, chickens, pullets, etc.. great opportunity for kids to see the little critters up close. I found some alternative uses for their farm supplies for my back yard. The prices are good and staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Grooming Services: The gal had worked on the dogs at another place, she remembered them, and she was very nice. People are going NUTS for my Pom's puppy cut, Macho men, ladies, kids. It's like having a Rockstar in the family. The groomer was nicely sensitive about my elderly bigger dog with allergies, and she bathed him three times with an anti-yeast wash. He is much calmer now, his hotspots have healed. Booking Timeliness: I hope they hire more groomers as bookings are a week out, a long time for a very itchy allergy dog. The gal did offer to put me on any cancellations lists. Website: The webpage for grooming is very poor, no phone numbers, no list of pricing & haircut options so that users might get ideas they never considered. Huge missed opportunity to sell/upsell services and pet products. You could even show types of animal trims, I bet there's a lot of shepherd/cattle dog owners that don't even know their dog could get a "summer cut" and make life less miserable for the dog and themselves. This was on a Saturday and they were kind enough at wilco to cut his hair 15 mins before closing. Recently my friend and I visited the store for the first time. I took with us the ad that featured an item we both were interested in purchasing. We were kind of excited to see the recently opened store. Armed with the ad we headed in and made a beeline for the yard/garden section figuring that is where we would find the item. We both looked and looked, high and low, with no luck. We never saw any employee who we could ask to point us to the item, so we headed back up to the cashier. Just as we approached the cashier stand, her phone rang. We waited over two minutes while she was looking up in her inventory whether they had what the caller wanted. She gave him information and ended the call. Oh good. Its our turn now. Out of her mouth came: "And what do you need?" Not "Thank you for waiting, how may I help you?" I told her we couldn't find the item from the WILCO ad in the store. "Did you look in home and garden?" "Yes, and we didn't find it." Gee, maybe she can look that item up in her inventory list, or call up another employee to assist us. No. She suggested we look outside in the nursery area where the plants and flowers are. We headed to that area. We asked a timid young lady about the item we were looking for, and showed her a picture of it from the ad. She had no clue. She did tell us it was her third day on the job. Our patience was really being tested. We left the store with NOTHING!!! 1. The cashier was rude. 2. Your customer service is non-existent. 3. The new employee should have been instructed to contact her supervisor whenever she cannot help a customer find an item. 4. Your management sucks! 5. As a former very successful (retired) small business owner myself, I know what customers want. 6. WILCO deserves NO stars, but that option evidently doesn't exist. 7. I talk. My first time here and the prices are extremely reasonable and friendly staff! I talked with Bridgette and she was awfully nice and helped me figure out how to do my sheet mulching project. I like to research online before choosing to visit a store. Wilco doesn't work like that. Even walking in and browsing, it seems like kind of a rinky-dink little place with little selection on the shelves. But if you're farming in this area, Wilco belongs in your speed-dial. This is one of the smaller Wilco farm stores. The ones further out in farm country are huge and excellent. This one is more of an old-time mercantile, where you go to the counter and ask - a lot of their inventory is not on the shelves. The counter staff are generally very knowledgeable, but I have had them tell me they don't stock items (and that's that) when they could actually get transferred from a larger store. Phone orders are handled beautifully by a knowledgeable person. Delivery prices are fair, not great, but definitely fair. Delivery staff are friendly and helpful. Member prices are generally very good, sale prices can be excellent. Sale flyers are available on their website, and mailed to members. Their prices almost always beat Coastal, and their staff beat Coastal by a mile. This is a good place to get hay and feed. I wish we had a big Wilco here, but I'm glad to at least have a small one. read more

I was in to buy a pair of work boots in January 24th I ended grabbing the wrong size that I needed. I came back in on the 25th. I wore the shoes for maybe 4 hours wondering why the shoes didn't feel right. figuring I could exchange them for different size. however that was not the case. Christopher (pic) told me that there was a scuff on the heal and that they had been worn so they could not exchange them because they damaged an could not sell for full price and would have to sell them half off. I work at a dealership and was wearing my uniform when I was trying to exchange them. so Christopher made an example of me in front of all the customers telling me "it would be like me going into your dealership and buying a part and the part not end up working and tying to return it and get full price for the part". now I'm stuck with a pair of shoes that don't fit right, and out $110.00. read more

A lot of people didn't notice there was a wilco here before. It's been here for years, but their new building has a lot more room for stuff. They even carry mantids in the spring, along with ducks and chicks. They offer grooming, and have a larger selection of dog food, along with a large area for clothing. They have a surprising amount of employees for this size of a store, which is nice to see. I've never had trouble getting help here, and generally it doesn't take long for somebody to come help me (versus having to wait 10 minutes somewhere that they're understaffed at) read more

The grooming department is great! I've taken my dog there several times, most recently last Saturday. He always looks and smells greats after his appointment. I was able to call in on Friday for an appointment on Saturday with Alex. She did a fabulous job, and I highly reccomend her. read more

I was in the Cornelius store today with my two grandchildren, Its the first time Ive been in "EVER". No one asked if I needed Help, a worker came out into the garden center to see what my grandchildren were doing. there 6 and 4 by the way they were picking out 5 and 6 dollar plants and puting them carefully in the brown boxes she just starred at me. How about Hello or are you finding everything okay. we finally finished with out selection and headed for check out. there was a problem with the persons order in front of me we waited and waited the girl finally got help then started to walk away while we were standing there. She asked me if I had a Wilco card I said no this is my first visit she said owe okay and finished my transaction. I said so what is a Wilco card she said well if you had signed up for one you would have gotten discounts on everything on sale you bought instead you paid full price. Well wasn't that nice of her to ask me after I paid 75.27. I wont be back. there is a Wall Mart down the street A Fred Meyer Up the road 1/2 mile also a Costal farm and ranch a BI Mart and Ace is also Close By I dont think you need my Money. I could have gotten discounts at the store I work For. Ill be telling everyone what kind of service and I got. which was none and rude. read more
