My dog who lives because of the great vets at Tanasbourne Vet ER, with no thanks to Frontier.
Michelle B.

I recommend you do not go here if you're having any sort of emergency or time sensitive issue with your pet. They may be fine with normal checkup, I have no idea. I went there when my dog had an issue that needed immediate diagnosis and treatment, and they came up as an urgent vet clinic. I got a same day appointment, paid over $1,000 for an "urgent" appointment and "urgent" test readings where they would send out the tests instead of waiting for them to be read in-house. Turns out we have very different definitions of urgent. I came in the next day with updates and a sample, still nothing. All day, no results. By 10pm the night after my dog seemed to really be in distress. I took him to Tanasbourne Veterinary Emergency, the nearby 24 hour place. I had to pay for all the exact same tests again, because we still hadn't heard from Frontier. Luckily they don't charge as much, and actually look at them right away. They diagnosed, operated on, and saved my dog, all before I finally got a call from Frontier the next day at noon, now 40 hours after that "urgent" appointment, saying my dog, who almost died the night before from fluid around his heart and lungs, was fine. Great news Frontier, thanks so much. It was and is a crazy time with my dog being on the precipice multiple times since, heart tumors, bladder surgery, but he's survived, thanks to the many vets and specialists who have seen him since, all despite Frontier fumbling the ball so badly that first day. I contacted them about a refund almost a year after, I don't enjoy how sad and angry I get thinking about how I almost lost my little guy. They didn't think the 40 hour wait for results, or questionable results were the problem, just the desk workers not passing on the update about his worsening condition. But they agreed to a less than half refund if I gave them all my bank info. I waited almost a year to get back to them, again, they wanted all my bank details for the refund instead of putting it on the card I used or just cutting a check. So that delay and distrust is on me, unlike them I can take responsibility when I mess up, but then they denied it because of an unstated deadline they decided after the fact. Also, Jessie D the "Client Services Team Lead" seems horrible at client services. I cannot believe the unprofessionalism of being strung along by nice receptionists just doing their job promising me a call back for more than a month, and then she finally emails instead of calls, I respond same day and she spends another two weeks and multiple prompts before responding to my email again. She seems allergic to the phone and returning calls. It's insane to me when your job is customer service to not even acknowledge receipt or respond in any way for that long even if you need to discuss details with your bosses. I may have waited a long time, but I'm not the professional in this situation, I'm the distressed pet owner. It's crazy that they think urgency and timeliness matters FROM their customers dealing with them but not them dealing with their customers- pets and humans alike. At least my delay only cost me that less-than-we-deserved refund of about $400, their delay very nearly cost my dog his life. So again, they might be fine with annual checkups or that sort, but my experience is they are horrible in an actual emergency or urgent situation, and somehow just as bad with the customer service after: go anywhere else. Here's a picture of my dog, I love him, and therefore will never take him to Frontier again.

The staff love their job at Frontier!

Dr Beetle knows GSD. Detailed exam and good news. We signed up for the wellness program to save about 30% for vax and visits. Thank you to the kind staff at Frontier. All my pets for years have had excellent exams. Say hi to Riley.

My sweet Lucy passed away on 7/4/2024 and we could not have asked for better care. With an "appointment" it was still a 2+ hour wait. The waiting room was just as chaotic, everyone seemed to be running around like headless chickens. Absolutely nothing is streamlined there and it's even worse now. The vet refused to look at my dog's records when asking questions, even though the dates they were asking about were in there and I couldn't recall them off the top of my head. And since they wouldn't look at the records, they decided it would be good to go ahead and just order labs/tests that my dog just had a few months earlier. Why? I'm sorry but that's not the way medical care should be provided. It's not about the money, I would have paid it if we needed to do it but they just refused to take the 2 minutes to look at the records in their system to confirm it had already been done. They were incredibly dismissive of my concerns that I did bring up too. Overall, the quality has gone from bad to worse.

This pandemic and the immediate changes to everyday life have been quite impactful for many of us. And for a business which relies on people dropping off their fur kids on the way to work, one can only imagine the repercussions! Brian has kept the daycare open throughout the pandemic, as a resource for essential workers, as well as those of us who rely on some socializing and exercise for our pups during the week. The staff has been wearing masks, requiring masks, meeting dogs at the door to limit contact. And keeping the facility sanitary and safe. All while coping with the flux in staffing and scheduling. The facility remains clean, safe, and in fact has been upgraded in several areas to help keep the play area cool, "fresh" and comfortable for both dogs and staff. I encourage pet parents who have been clients to please keep supporting Brian and his team. And if you are new pet parents, or new to the area, please consider Buster & Lilly's for your fur baby's needs. They are terrific!

I'm posting this now after reflecting on my dog's daycare history over the years, as this was the…read moreonly facility where we had a negative experience. Several years ago, I brought my dog here for daycare. During one drop-off, as I was about to drive off, he was able to bolt out of the facility and ran across the parking lot (in the dark!). Thankfully, a passerby caught him quickly and he was not injured, but this raised serious concerns about supervision and containment during handoff. After that incident, I continued bringing him back to use up pre-paid passes. From that point on, he always refused to leave the car-which made me concerned. Staff later told me he had developed a humping habit and said that if it continued, he would not be able to return. This was difficult to reconcile with what we experienced elsewhere. After we finished our passes, we used another daycare in Beaverton, where he had no issues. Since then, we've moved states a few times and gone to multiple other daycares in different locations, and he has consistently done well without any behavioral concerns. I understand that staff and policies can change over time, so this may not reflect the current operation. However, I think it's important to share past experiences related to safety and how dogs are handled following a stressful incident.
