There is a woman that works at the Gresham PetSmart who is absolutely AMAZING!! Her name is Jineen and she is so wonderful. She is super helpful, knows her stuff and is ALWAYS super nice and in a great mood. She should be promoted or at least get a huge raise. That place would be nothing without her. I've been there when she's had to deal with stupid people and once an angry person and every time Jineen has handled herself very professionally and kept that smile on her face while she was handling rude people. That is what I call a GREAT person and employee. I don't know who her boss is but they NEED to give Jineen some serious props and definitely need to promote her and give her a raise! I made a grooming appointment on line. When I arrived the woman at the desk asked if this was Willow. I said yes and assumed since they knew her name they were expecting us. Then I was told I didn't have an appointment. (If I didn't have an appointment, how did they know her name?) Then I foolishly gave them all her vaccine records even though only rabies is required. Her rabies was a three year with 2 years to go on it. Unfortunately she had received her other boosters two days ago. They asked me what time and then said since it had only been 44 hours since her boosters they declined to bathe her, (their policy is 48 hours for the required shots. Which is rabies. Which she had had a year ago.). By that point it was fairly clear they were looking for excuses to get rid of us. She's a largish mutt but very well behaved, so I'm not sure what the issue was. But I certainly will look for a different groomer since I don't want to hand my dog to someone who clearly didn't want to work with her. read more

I have taken our dog here for 2yearsand found most groomers to be really good. However today. Had an appointment which they called and canceled so we rescheduled when I went in. I was early the salon manager, Lindsay told me I couldn't check the dog in until her time which was in 10 minutes. I had to drop some papers off so I dropped them off and came back, and I was 10 minutes late. She canceled my appointment because I didn't show which I can understand to a degree but she was very rude and I really never want to deal with her again. Take my dog here once a month to get a nail trim and hair cut. The staff are super friendly and great with my dog that is still a bit skidding around people. They make sure to have the same person with him each time so he is less likely to be scared. Love the care they take and the little guy always prances around after his hair cut. You can tell he feels clean and fresh and a lot happier. This is the place we will go for all future needs for our dog. On a side note. I see a lot of reviews about the staff not cleaning up dog poop. If you bring your dog into a store and he goes to the bathroom you are responsible for cleaning it up. They have stations through the store for you to clean up accidents. These stations include poop bags, paper towels, cleaning spray and hand sanitizer. Everything you need to clean up after your animal. Yes the staff will do extra cleaning if needed but you are responsible for your pets if you decide to bring them into the store. Just don't think it's fair to put that all on staff. My dog has gone tot he bathroom here and I cleaned it up and left it looking like it had never happened. read more

Kaia was one of the rudest dog groomers I have ever met. I have been coming here for numerous years and usually Erica who is amazing does my Chica girl grooming. I took Chica in this morning to our appt with Kaia and first she said she needed paperwork and i asked if I could send it email in about 10 minutes she said no so I went to get the paperwork then I brought it back and triend to tell her what I wanted and she said it would cost more and I said ok then she told me she didn't have the tine and to reschedule. One of the other groomers said she could fit her in and I thanked her and the Kaia went and talked to the girl saying she would do it and I said I don't want to work with you and she replied well I wasn't talking to you. I have never been so insulted This has always been my favorite on only place to bring Chica and Kaia is one of the most unprofessional rudest customer service I have ever had. read more

I've been taking my boy Eli to this PetSmart for grooming for most of this last year. We first saw Lindsay who was recommended by a friend and she did an amazing job but because she's so good she's often booked up so we've also gotten to see a few other great groomers there too. Today Eli got to be groomed by September and we are highly satisfied. September chatted with me about his service afterwards and said they'd had a great service together. Don't get me wrong I really like this store I go almost monthly they always have great sales compared to other stores. Always keep an eye on the price on the shelf , when they scan it shows up differently. There's usually one cashier an older lady that treats customers differently always rude, And when I let her know the price is wrong she doesn't want to change it and I always say we'll you can go check and she then changes it. It's happened many times not just once and I suggest if you see the other cashier an older gentleman go to him always smiling and has a nice charm never rude seems like he enjoys his job. read more

I do the majority of my pet shopping here for my two dogs and also aquarium/ fish. I have been coming here for years. The store is reasonably priced for most items and they have a large selection of pet food and supplies. This is like the Walmart of pet stores. The fish, dog, cat and small pet selections is great. There are several services offered here; dog training, Banfield Pet hospital, and pet grooming. I have use the groomers on a regular basis and have been happy. My dogs are patients here at the Banfield pet clinic. The staff at Banfield is friendly and the cod it's helpful. The only drawback of this store is the cleanliness. Most often than not I can see dog feces inside the store and I front of it. Usually it is because the staff didn't clean it up well or there is some obey checking. The front of the store is usually littered with fecal matter and dog urine. It would be nice if it can be cleaned up and strayed down at least daily. In the hot summers it smells bad inside the store of urine and feces. When I shop there I usually get in and out as fast as I can. read more

Customer service in aquatics is virtually non existent. Store personnel came and went, and asked other customers if they'd been helped while my daughter and I were browsing fish. Freddie needed some classes so off we went to PetSmart University with teacher Bruce. Bruce is of the gentle persuasion philosophy when training dogs. This works well with all involved. As far as the store itself, I really do like my local stores but at the same time Freddie is a seek and destroy kind of dog when it comes to toys and other things to crunch on with his big teeth. This store is very good about allowing you to bring back something should it not be working out at home. There are limits as to how long you have it and also a receipt is very important. I have kept every single receipt (unless Freddie finds them first). It's good research for us as we can narrow down exactly what we can allow Freddie to have. Currently, we are looking for products that are made from big rocks because that's the only thing he cannot penetrate through right now. Meanwhile, Freddie is really working on being Bruce's teacher's pet. read more

I will never return to this place! This is a review for their grooming salon. I have been going there to get my dogs groomed for years and I can honestly tell you that I am done. The lack of professionalism and their inability to try to please a regular client is just unacceptable. I have four dogs that I take on a regular basis, Bella, Kiwi, Cash and Vero we also take my brothers dog Nala. The first thing that happend was a few years back, they cut my dog Kiwi. He's the nicest most mellow dog in the world! They never really told me what happend, I was just glad he was going to be ok. I will give them credit for taking care of all the vet bills and medication and continual care(he had to get 8 stitches). Then I took Bella, Cash and Kiwi and they completely messed up their haircuts. I couldn't believe it when I picked them up and they looked like rats with no hair anywhere. I was furious! I kept saying "they get the same hair cut every time!". Another time, I took Cash to get groomed and he came back half groomed! they told me that he wouldn't let them finish, again this dog had been getting groomed there for over 3 years already, they should know him! Or at least read his file or notes. So my dog Cash was running around with half his face groomed. They didn't say "oh we won't charge or maybe bring him another day to finish if he was stressed that day...." nothing! Then two weeks ago I make an appointment for Vero, I drop her off and 10min later I get a call that they can't groom her because she won't let her hold her, I can understand that... but I'm positive she didn't even try because I literally was by Cafe Delirium when I got called and turned back. I mean these people are supposed to be professionals! You are supposed to know how to deal with difficult dogs! But honestly the last straw was today. I had called a week ago and scheduled an appointment for Bella, I asked what they had for Monday or Tuesday, she said Monday there was an afternoon which I took. I had forgotten that I worked that day and called back 3 min later and changed the appointment to Tuesday at 10am. I get there and apparently the girl who took my call that day (3/23/15 at 8:37pm) had forgotten to pencil my appointment in! I was furious! All the girl said was "we don't have you on here, we are all booked up" basically they weren't even apologizing or trying to fit her in. Until one of the managers came over and they said "we can get her in on Thursday" which I said no. I called and made this appointment a week ago, I drove from Vancouver, someone is grooming my dog today. Then another lady came over and looked at the books and figured out how to get her in. All good right? I thought so, until I pick Bella up and notice she's got gooey stuff on her eye, her ears are still dirty and apparently she had "scabs"on her skin. This dog has had extremely dry skin, has been to the vet for it. These girls know that and should have been on her notes. What I figured happened is that she didn't even bathe her because she smelled the same, her ears were dirty and that goopy stuff was still on her eye. I mean, seriously!? YOU GUYS MAKE THE MISTAKE AND YOU HALF ASS MY DOGS GROOM BECAUSE YOU HAD TO SQUEEZE HER IN! UNBELIEVABLE! UNACCEPTABLE! NEVER AGAIN!! UPDATE 4/2/15: I called after seeing her dirty ears and asked for half my money back (she did get her hair cut so I figured fair is fair). I was told I could come back in and get her bathed, which I'd done already. So I came in today to get the money back. Spoke to Shayla one of the managers and she did an amazing job handling the situation, her tone of voice and communication skills are on point. She refunded me the entire amount and recommended a few places. Only way I would come back was if SHE was the one grooming my dogs, but I doubt it. I have never taken my dog to a groomer before, and we decided to give petsmart a try. Leaving the appointment, my dog seemed fine. We were really surprised they were able to get her nails so short. Before this, my husband and I had been clipping our dog's nails at home without any problems. Well, obviously something happened when they did her nails because now she is shaking and trying to escape when I clipped her nails for the first time since her appointment. I am so sad. She's a rescue dog, and it took a lot of time to get her comfortable with grooming. Now we have to start all over again and help her understand that we aren't going to hurt her. I won't be bringing her back again. I am so concerned about what will happen when I give her a bath. read more

The staff there are nice, friendly and knowledgeable but I always see register clerks on their phones when no one is in line. They never have what I need. The shelves are always a mess. Obedience Class with BRUCE BIG MISTAKE!!! it was back when we first got hunter (2017) and he was a fresh rescue, still adapting to us. What a waste of money. Bruce would complain every day that there were only two of us in the class, and every single class would ask us if we both could come on a busier day...it was a no from both of us, but every sunday he would still complain. Each morning, bruce would spend about ten minutes (AFTER our lesson was supposed to start) and just dilly dally getting his crap together, wasting lesson time. Hunter and one lab puppy, Lucy. They did not get along. So he would have one dog go practice heel through the aisles unsupervised while he worked with the other in the training area. no feedback provided. the shit he had us do OMG. never again. he made us do "take it", "leave it"....shove a toy in the dogs mouth, get the dog the drop it into your hands SERIOUSLY WTF, but we were new gsd owners and dumb. anyway....my husband got bit on his hand. it tunneled...flushed water into one hole, came out the other like an inch away, and was bleeding heavily in the training area. bruce didn't do shit. just stared at my husband...in shock i guess...then casually was like...ummm you can come wash it off in our break room i guess and i can give you a bandaid. then tried to get us to repeat the commands at a later date..Uhhh NO THANKS. the "graduation" was such a joke. he just observed the dogs screwing up and was like "good.......good.......ok you've passed". bruce was basically just sick of us and graduated us to get us out of there. hunter had nothing to show for it and we were down over $100 bucks. you definitely get what you pay for, which isn't shit. Please find a real trainer. especially if you have a shepherd of any kind. read more

To show their Customer service - today I bought a little bed for our Guinea pig. There was a sign in front that said 25% off on selected items. It rang up with the normal price but they agreed that the sign is confusing and they gave me the discount anyway even though the bed wasn't part if it. This is how you keep customers :) read more

Employees groomed my german shepherd Koda, and mentioned that she was having some skin irritations and recommended that I switch her food over to Purina Pro Plan (sensitive skin & stomach) and she has has had no issues with her skin since! Bruce is an amazing dog trainer- seriously.... he is the calmest and most gentle trainer I have known. He truly cares about dogs and knows what he is doing! Both my Dogs have been doing one on one training sessions with him and I have noticed huge improvements in both of them. I've been to this Petsmart many of times mainly because they have one specific Product that I need that I can't get at the competitors but every time that I come to this location I cringe because the customer service here!
