Without explanation or apology my dog's collar with id tag and microchip information tag was removed after check in and never replaced at check out. I discovered it was missing after I picked up my dog on my way out of Oregon to return to CA. I contacted the owner and was told I could come by to get it. When I indicated that I was no longer in the area on my drive back to CA, I was told it would be mailed. That was on August 18. It is now September 26 - nothing! Warning to future boarders - be sure your pet is returned with all that he/she checked in with. Very disappointed with the lack of concern and follow through. read more

Mt Hood Pet Resort - Pet Groomers Near Me - Sandy, Oregon

The owner Sam is deceitful when it comes to hiding fees in 12 page documents which result in overcharging. We had two small dogs and one medium dog boarding overnight. Cost advertised for large kennel is $55 per night. They stayed one nite, bill was $264. She insisted that she gave us a discount and the cost should be $55/dog for one kennel and charged us for two nights. Dogs were there about 25 hours. Unbelievable. Charges were refunded and she told us never to come back. She could not justify her charges to what was advertised on her website. Also, entering in the front door it had a very strong urine smell. Not clean at all. Just beware... Owner is not honest.... I have two other witnesses. read more

We took out pups here while staying up at Timberline Lodge. We felt very comfortable with facility and the staff. We called to check in them during our stay and the staff member knew exactly how our boys were doing and provided helpful insight into their stay. Our pups had a wonderful time and came home sleepy from all the play. We will definitely be taking them back for play dates and boarding. read more

I took my sweet 17yr old Westi/Terrier in for grooming and they returned him to me with his left eye stuck shut. He was so subdued and seemed drugged on the ride home. At home he wasn't able to walk down steps to potty. My dog was traumatized and today is still very quiet, nit the same. I called and told about his eye and they said probably a hair stuck in it! I paid $60 for them to mistreat my dog!! read more

This review is for the self-serve pet wash, as I did not board a dog here. We stopped in to wash our rescue dog, and the woman at the front desk was very accomodating. I have used a few self serve pet washes before, and I have never seen one this clean. There are many bays to choose from, and they are large and easy to use--they look almost like bathtubs. I did not notice if they had brushes, but they did provide shampoo, towels and dryers. read more

I have had more than one pet stay with Mt Hood Pet Resort over the years. I have always found them to be very accommodating, clean, and great with the dogs. My current dog is always very eager to go there and has a fabulous time. She is happy, well adjusted and tired when she comes home-exactly the reason I take her there. read more

My fiancé and I were very excited about boarding our pup there however something came up and we had to cancel our reservation. The woman who originally took the reservation was wonderful! She was extremely informative, polite, and laughed at my corny jokes (big plus). However, when I called back to cancel I spoke with another woman named Jessica. Maybe she was having a bad day or was stressed out but she is the reason we will never give them our business. Jessica could not have been more short or cared any less than she did...like we were putting her out and she didn't want to be on the phone whatsoever. My Springer Janie has been going to this doggie "resort" for most of her life. She's 11 1/2 years old now and is still excited to get to play with her friends. It's been especially helpful this long cold winter; my health makes it dangerous for me to walk her when it's icy, and dogs can get cabin fever just like people can. Trina and her crew are conscientious about keeping the dogs safe. They carefully watch who needs shots, and will call the vet to check if they need to. They rotate the "packs" so the little guys and shy guys don't get bullied. Of course, size doesn't dictate temperament. They are careful observers of the dynamics of the groups. I live alone in Welches, and having the resort gives me a chance to get out and play, too! read more

I've used several self serve dog washes from California up. This was the most spacious and cleanest I've been in. Never was there vinegar to clean the dogs ears before. Trina was super nice even came back to see if everything was as it should be. The cost was a little more then I normally pay but for where the shops is (in the boondocks) they could have charge $5 more and I'd have been happy. Will use again before I head home. read more

I brought my dog here once to get her nails clipped. She was a year old, squirmy and it was her first nail clipping. I told the lady, also the owner that she had never had her nails trimmed before. She took my dog back and 10 minutes later she came back, looked really annoyed and told me my dogs nails were way too long and she should have had her nails trimmed months ago and that I needed to start touching my dogs feet more because it was too difficult for her to clip them. She was very rude about it and I won't be going back. read more

Nichole the groomer did an awesome job. My English Setter had a kennel clip done today and looks great. The reson for the 2 star review is they did not honor their quote. ($45-$50) When I made the appointment I told them I wanted a kennel clip for my English SETTER. When I went in to pick her up they charged me $60. When I said that I was quoted lower their excuse was "she's big for an English Springer." I reminded them she is a setter. They also said she had lots of fleas. She is on the best flea medication on the market - Trifexis. I also checked over throughly before dropping her off. ( because of a review I read). I authorized a hyperallergenic shampoo and was charged extra for a flea shampoo. I wont go back. read more

Went in today so I can have a conversation with the place and find out about what they have to offer. This place seems pretty cool and a sweet little pug was even there to greet me when I went in. Would be 5 stars but we parked out front and a rude lady was upset and making gestures towards us through the window not realizing that we were in fact customers inside... If I was an owner I would talk to that lady with the long hair and the grimmace not to pre judge . I would take my dog here but don't use the parking spots apparently they don't like it read more

We recently had to board our two dogs (Pug and German Shepherd) due to my father in law passing suddenly. They fit us in last minute as we had to fly out the next day. We were out of town for about a month, and Trina at Mt. Hood Pet Resort was so helpful and accommodating the entire time as I called and extended the stay several times. Our dogs were well taken care of and happy and healthy when we picked them up! They were attentive to our pups and reported their behavior and anything of note to me when I called. It was so relieving to know our pups were being given attention and care so we didn't have to worry about that on top of everything else we were going through. Fantastic dog daycare in Mount Hood! Very impressed!! I brought my 9 month old puppy for 2 days of daycare while skiing at Mount Hood during my family Christmas ski vacation. Everything was great! Im an overprotective puppy mom and I felt very comfortable with my baby here. He was very well taken care of, super safe, happy, and tired after. I filled out the registration forms online and brought copies of my pups shots and we were good to go. They even sent me an email reminder/confirmation the day before. Trina and the staff were fantastic! Upon my dog's arrival, staff put the younger, more playful, dogs in individual kennels and brought my pup on leash to greet the rest of the dogs in the group. Once he met all the dogs, the younger dogs were brought back into the group one at a time to make sure everyone got along well. Reactive or aggressive dogs are not included in the play group and are exercised individually so everyone says safe. 5 star process!! The play group handler was very attentive to the group and carried a spray bottle with water to disrupt any questionable behavior - I appreciate that a lot! They even fed him lunch without charging extra for it. There are individual kennels used to give the dogs breaks during the day, which is great when you have a dog like mine that doesn't know when to stop. The facility is super clean, staff is knowledgable and friendly, and prices are extremely reasonable. I'd be back in a heartbeat. Thank you very much!! read more

They require your dogs to be on a leash, but the owners annoying/barking/off-leash pugs are apparently an exception. This is totally obnoxious. When her dogs confront my dog, I don't have any proof they are up to date on shots, wormers, or flea repellents. She should keep them under control and not have them independently interact with customer's dogs. read more

This is probably the worst dog wash I've ever been to. I work in the animal field and mostly everyone is like minded and shares the same love for animal that I do. The owner is not that way at all, she is rude every time I go in and treats my dog and myself like were a burden and that she hates us both. Today I went back in after not living in the area for a couple years thinking I'd give it a second chance. I don't know why I was kidding myself, same old bitch still working there that has zero respect for her clientele and the animals that go in there. Try a nice tone in voice and respecting your clients. Also they have low quality shampoo, never have enough towels and when you ask for more again she talks to you in a rude tone and yet again makes you feel like a burden. Thanks for nothing read more

We've boarded our dogs here several times over the last 3-4 years. The facility is decent, the staff are kind, and our dogs always seem happy. This and the fact that options are very limited in the Sandy area are the only reasons we have continued to give them our business, hence the two stars. Stars are deducted due to the following: -Services are more expensive than other similar facilities (at one point, and it still may be the case, pricing on the website differed from what is charged upon arrival). -The owner insists we buy a special toy for our dog or charges us if he chews through one of theirs. In my opinion, wear and tear and destroyed toys should be part of the territory when dealing with a doggy daycare/boarding facility. We often feel like we are being nickel and dimed here which gets to be annoying due to the above mentioned already inflated prices. If we have to buy a toy, she should at least extend her wholesale price since she supplies and sells toys out of her retail area stock. -The owner is outright rude quite often. Sometimes she is smiles and rainbows and great to deal with, others she is extremely critical of us, our dogs, our care of them, etc. One time I questioned her pricing and the issue of having to buy a toy for our dog when dropping our dogs off. A few days later my husband picked them up and she gave him a snotty and sarcastic imitation of what I sounded like when questioning her. There are numerous other occasions when we have dealt with her, her bad attitude, and extreme rudeness/critical assessment. Bottom line, we will continue to board our dogs here from time to time as we often have to leave town and there are no other good options in the area. However, nearly every time we drop off or pick up our dogs we comment on our wishes to see a better option. read more

Very disappointed with the way I was treated by this business. My roommate had let my dog out in the front yard to go potty while I was at work and he got away from her. When I got done working, I received my messages and found that this resort had pulled him in. When I arrived to pick him up I was charged $20.00 for this service. I was told that if he had been turned into the pound it could have cost hundreds. I called Clackamas County Animal Services and as long as your dog is licensed they hold them for free for 48 hours. When I went back to discuss this I was told they well be using this same practice in the future. If this happens to you, I urge you to ask yourself if you agree in paying a private entity to recover property that is rightfully yours. This is an uncommon practice and may be avoidable. read more

If I could give zero stars that's what I would rate them...I took my border collie in once to give him a bath and blow out because it was closer that where I usually took him. The first thing the owner said to me was that I was being cruel to my dog for not bathing him more often. Then after I had finished and was paying my bill she complained about having to clean up the hair that had come off of him. ( I had gathered up most of it myself) and that next time I should comb him out before bringing him in. I was a dog groomer for years and believe me combing out a dog is much more cruel than blowing it out with the hair drier!... I was not treated very well here and I will not be coming back. Pup Scrub is where I will always take my dogs because they have great customer service and have never complained about cleaning up the hair. In fact they insist on doing it for you! read more

We have spent the past 3 summers in the Mount Hood area. Happily for Parker, we discovered Mount Hood Pet Resort early in our stay the first year. He enjoyed their doggy daycare 2 or 3 times a week consistently. Invariably he entered with his tail wagging and enjoyed a warm greeting from staff, both human and canine. We believe Sally and Nonni, Trina's dogs, add an element of reassurance to dogs coming in. They are calm and well adjusted. We find it charming that they greet both dogs and humans with endearing hospitality. The staff monitors the play groups carefully, and Parker loved his playtime with the other dogs. He always came home tired and content. A few times we asked that the groomer trim Parker's nails. We were always satisfied with the result. He continued to demonstrate trust in the groomer when she greeted him. On a few occasions we used the Pet Resort for overnight boarding. We always felt comfortable leaving him with Trina and her staff. read more

My golden-doodle Simon LOVES this place. He loves it so much you open the car door he runs up to the store and sits and waits impatiently. I was very worried about it at first since he was only 4 months old the first time he went here. When I went to pick him up he had the biggest doggy smile on his face, but did not want to leave all of his new friends. This place is well organized and ran. Trina is a great business women and knows what she is doing. She cares about the dogs and employs amazing people who also care about the pups. I trust them 100% and you should as well. The indoor a/c or heated building is awesome. The odor is non existent which is shocking since this is a indoor dog park. She has a very good knowledge of dogs and is so helpful. I am so happy that our dog is well socialized because of them. Simon is the greatest pup because Mt. Hood Pet Resort taught him how to be good with other dogs! THANK YOU.
