Tonight when I came to pick up from curbside the lady that gave me my order said just so you know we don't do curbside at night the only reason I came out was because the carts need to be brought in it was 7PM. I asked why wouldn't it say that when ordering and she mentioned not all the stores do but she's giving me a heads up and her tone wasn't nice and matter of fact attitude was not appropriate to a very consistent customer for years. I did curbside being sick so I could not go inside and I needed food for my cats. They need to be considerate not everyone is capable of walking in the store. read more

I usually take my cat to a different grooming place but they weren't available so I went ahead and decided to trust petsmarts grooming services. I scheduled my cat for a bathing, brush, and nail trim. They had called me to reschedule her a different day due to her not being around so many dogs. I agreed. I took her in the morning they told me it would take 4-5 hours since drying her would take forever. It wasn't a big deal for me. However they call me back within 2-3 hours. When I pick her up they tell me she's a little damp (the person who I retrieved her from wasn't even the groomer I scheduled her with, and it turns out she wasn't even there...), I'm thinking okay not a big deal I could probably just dry her at home. NOPE. My cat is soaking wet, my poor girl kept meowing and shivering. When I got home I tried putting her by a heater and drying her with a towel and tbh she didn't even smell like she was bathed. She somehow smelled worse... I'm not sure if it was due to her being soaked or probably not even getting bathed, but I had to eventually dry shampoo her. She was also shedding like crazy, not sure if it was the stress or not getting brushed well. I will say they did a really great job with her nails though. I'd say the 100$ I paid was not worth it, I would rather just pay for the nail trim if the experience is the same. read more

i took my 8 year old dog to this location with an appointment and still waited for two hours. I was charged $600 for her nails to be trimmed and also to have her ears cleaned and evaluated. I was given antibiotics after the visit and my dogs ears were barely cleaned, so overall this was a total waste of time and money! I would never take another pet to this location.. please look for a private vet since this was a horrible experience. I ended up having to go to another vet and it was a great experience! My dogs ears are great now! read more

Took our 2 miniature poodle mixes in for routine bathing and grooming, first visit here. Our male dog was fine, however, whoever groomed our female did a terrible job. She shaved her ears, said they were matted, which they were not, and she literally shaved her with the hair on the tail left longer and a poof on her head which was uneven on one side with longer hairs sticking up. To add insult to injury, she had the nerve to add a $10 charge onto the bill for shaving the ears. Many groomers in the valley.....don't go here if you expect a professional, skilled cut. Have had the dogs groomed many times and she has never come home looking worse than when she got there. read more

Beware!! I took my Cocker Spaniel in to be groomed and I asked for the $71.00 bath and shave. On the paperwork they listed her as a cattle dog. The vaccination certificate from our vet clearly states she is a Cocker Spaniel. Kaylyn shaved her completely. Ears, tail, whiskers and everything. She doesn't know the meaning of a Cocker Spaniel cut???? My dog is not happy. Her tail is between her legs now and I don't know why. Plus I was charged $156.00 for this terrible grooming service. The people who work at this store and who shop here are truly golden. I took my little cairn terrier mix and my Staffy to get their nails clipped but there had been a tour earlier and the time quoted on the phone was delayed. Not only did the trainers and staff help me with my over-excited dogs, they comped my nail trims. Then when I lost my keys, a very kind man found them and waited for me to make sure I got them and was ok. My first time going there. I will always go back and can't recommend them more for such a caring environment. Since I posted this review a year ago, I still feel the same. Tiana treats my Staffy like a princess and I always request her based on the love she shows my sweet girl. All the groomers are great, but we love Tiana especially! read more

Gross incompetence is abundant here. I applied to adopt a kitten that was housed at this location, and upon doing so, I received word the next day from the store via voicemail that my application was approved, and I should come to the store the following week with a carrier so I could take the kitten home. Upon arriving at the Petsmart I was told I wouldn't be getting the kitten because I didn't return their call to set up an adoption appointment. The problem with their assertion is that I never received a call asking for me to follow up for an additional appointment. An additional appointment wasn't mentioned in the adoption application, nor did I receive any other correspondence telling me about this additional step; my phone received one call, and it was the previously mentioned voicemail informing me that I was approved, and I should come to the store with a carrier to retrieve the kitten. This explanation fell upon deaf ears, dead eyes, and vacant expressions; apparently such an oversight on their part was too confounding for the employees to process. They insisted that they called despite evidence to the contrary, and fell back on vague protocol and canned responses rather than engage in sound logic and rational thought. Hey...I understand; you work at Petsmart as a poop-scoop jockey because you got all Cs in high school - that's fine. Taking that into consideration, it stands to reason that with an existence as devoid of fulfillment and stimuli as that, you'd try to exert a modicum of control over your little world by exploiting whatever sliver of power you feel you've been given. However, every once in a while you should remove your blinders, encourage the synapses in your brain to fire, and engage in some basic cognition. read more

Updated review: I took my dog today(7/14/17) at 945am and picked him up FOUR HOURS LATER! I didn't receive a call that my dog was ready so I just went and they said he would be ready in 15 minutes. **it really only takes 15 minutes to bathe my little dog tbh** There's no way they should accept appointments if they're going to take that long. If you don't have space, just tell me you're full! I have a Boston Terrier, no haircut needed. I'm over these sketchy long appointments. On top of the extremely Long appointment, it wasn't even "all that" when I picked him up. The groomer said her nail grinder was going out on her so some of his nails weren't cut as much as others. No discount offers, apologies or anything. Over it. I'd rather go to an independent groomer to have peace of mind than wonder what my dog is doing for 4 hours. Additionally.. while I was waiting I went to go see the goldfish.. half of them are dead. Get it together. ------ I've been coming to this location for many years! Everyone is always smiling and friendly and there are often sales on items I purchase. I've taken my dog to the grooming salon quite a few times; they take too long in my opinion but he always comes out super fresh. Overall positive experiences. read more

Really upset and disappointed had my husband take our akita to get a good wash and maybe a trim down and they had told my husband it would be 85 for wash and a trim with a trim of nails aurora my dog was there for about 3 hours when he got back they told him that they couldnt cut her hair due to her being super nervous and it didn't even looked like she was showered and told him it would be 85 after they didn't cut her hair or trim her and of course we asked to speak to the manager and said she would give us a discount and only would charge 75 it was just ridiculous my husband said he just paid because he didnt want to cause a seen because he had my daughters with him but my dog looks literally the exact same as i saw her this morning before the shower.super sad people take advantage like this .. i will never take my dog here. read more

What can I really say, it's PetSmart and it is very close to home. I have been here for grooming, shopping and training. I have two little dogs, and they are groomed by Melissa. They look pretty slick when they are done & they get good comments on their visits. I have really gotten to explore the store since I have a dog in training through beginner and intermediate. The dog training here was the first professional training I encountered, but I suppose it works for some. I had another dog in training elsewhere and had to implement more of that training with the training I have been receiving here. The store is pretty dirty, I don't understand how it can be so dingy! There is so much stuff underneath the displays and there are often open products laying all over the store. I like to shop for treats when they have sales, such as buy one get one free or buy two get one free. Last week, I had six items so that I would get two free. I was at the register and the associate asked if I wanted to get two more since the sale would group like items so I agreed, not thinking that I would be shorted a free item. I don't know if the misleading me was intentional or not, but it is teaching me not to make additional purchases. Side note- during the beginners training course a participant became a service dog. I am not sure how that all came about, but it was announced to the other participants in training. read more

PET DISCRIMINATION AT ITS FINEST - STAY AWAY! Made online grooming appt.Kaylyn groomer greeted me as I walked in to the salon as she was grooming another dog. She said someone was going to help me check in shortly. My dog and I, and 3 other dogs were waiting outside of the salon to get checked in as well. After waiting for 15 minutes to get checked in another groomer Tabitha comes out, she doesn't even have the common courtesy or professionalism to greet me or say "Hello, How Can I help you"? Tabitha looked mad, she doesn't even acknowledge or make eye contact with me, she goes straight to the computer for about 2 minutes, She found my dogs records and previous notes form previous groomer. She read the notes for another 3 minutes, without even looking at my dog, she automatically said "I don't think we are going to be able to groom your dog today, The previous notes state he is matted and is very sensitive around the paws". I told her those notes were from 4 months ago and I was not looking for a fluffy look this time, that I wanted him short with blade #10, which is shortest you can go. At this point my dog and I had been waiting for 20 minutes, my dog was shaking, feeling anxious hearing the buzz of the clippers, the dogs outside the salon barking. Tabitha puts leash around my dogs neck. She starts checking him all over for matting, (which I am not sure why if I told her I wanted him completely shaved). She is touching my dog a bit aggressive, she touches him all over really fast, shaking him, looking for matting, since my dog was sitting, she then picks up my dog from the back a bit aggressively so my dog growled at her. I told my dog to stop and so did she. She continued to check my dog on back of his paw area and my dog growled at her again. At that point Tabitha just walked up, threw the leash on the floor so unprofessional and told the groomer Kaylyn, "you're going to have to do it because he is growling at me". Kaylyn said "well if he's growling we can't take him in. You have to take him somewhere else".As professional groomers they should know, growling doesn't always mean a sign of aggression. The growling communication can also mean a sign of pain or discomfort. My 13 year old Bichon Frise dog growled as he was trying to probably communicate with her that whatever she was doing to him was hurting him.Kaylyn says "Take him somewhere else". Like to a Veterinarian groomer, He may do better there". I couldn't believe they had just turned us away AND not Only that, recommending we go somewhere else like a Veterinarian groomer? I've been coming to Petsmart groomers for years why would I go somewhere else? My dog is a 13 year old senior, My dog did NOT bite, or snip at her, he growled when she grabbed him aggressively from the back of the paws which is a sign she was hurting him. Which Tabitha already knew that he was very sensitive in those areas from the notes she read from previous groomer.The reason I am writing this review is to show how they have been discriminating against my dog and how LAZY these groomers are at this location.Back in April groomer Samantha at this same location didn't want to take the time to do the de-matting, since it was going to take her 2 hours more to do the work and convinced me to buy over $60 worth of unnecessary products to make her job easier amd had me do the de-matting at home. After I did de-matted my dog I went back and had to reschedule because that groomer called out then the second time she was out sick. It's like my dog was too much work for her to handle. Furthermore, second time around, how Tabitha was in a bad mood, they looked overbooked and just saw my dog as too much to deal with or too much of a hassle being that he has long coat and would take them a long time to complete.Tabitha and Kaylin said it's protocol that if a dog growls they cannot groom the dog. My dog was not aggressive towards any of them he growled out of discomfort. It saddens me how they've treated my senior dog at this location, as we've been loyal customer to Petsmart groomers for many years ** Seems the store is trying to hide the issues with the public. I was completely underwhelmed by the customer service and lack of organization at this particular store. They have things marked clearance which ring up at regular price. I found socks for my dog but one of the socks was missing. Instead of leaving them there I gave them to the cashier who asked if I still wanted them?! Really? Three socks won't work for my four footed dog. I asked the man who was stocking items to direct me to the socks. He was rude and unhelpful. I'll take my business elsewhere... read more

Decent store with knowledgeable staff but the prices are a bit higher than other stores. One employee recommended a collar that really helped with our dog that was a puller. Everyone is friendly. There is a huge selection of many things for many pets. The prices are not bad but a touch high. But Banfield. Don't do it. Avoid them. My aunt had awful experiences with "the plan" for their old dog. She was pressured into expensive treatments, they would sometimes not do ones she wanted, and it wasn't exactly cheap. Our experience was the same. We bought 1 year to try it, and canceling took a few tries. They pressured us to do more than we normally would have. And the "savings" included hundreds of dollars in services that most people would not buy. Come here to get your pet some exercise in the summer. Get food, litter, check sale prices, visit the partnered pet rescue people, maybe grab a treat or toy for your pet. But Banfield felt even higher pressure than our last car purchase. read more

I never write reviews but this I couldn't even believe what happened. I always go to the oceans floor to buy fish but they were out of stock. I went to petsmart got sold a dead fish, came back and asked for an exchange. I WATCHED the petsmart employee take my 1 live fish and 1 DEAD fish and dump them both back into the stocked tank with all the other fish for sale!! That's beyond disgusting and unsanitary. ALSO on their supplies carts they wheel around he had a BOWL of over 50 DEAD fish just on display wheeling it around. That's disgusting, cruel, and unsanitary. They treat their animals awfully and I will never be going to a petsmart again. Support your local stores people, big chains like this are inhumane. read more

I have taken my dogs here twice. The first time they neglected to tell me they were going to use a special shampoo and it would cost a crazy amount. Then proceeded to have an attitude when I asked why they didn't tell me. The second time they accused me of not paying my previous bill (which I had). The manager was nice enough to sort this out, but all the groomers still had a serious attitude problem about it. Then they proceeded to barely touch their teeth with tooth paste and did a terrible job trimming their nails. One of my dogs actually yelped out in pain! Seven months ago my life was blessed with a newly adopted German Shepard puppy. PetSmart on Northern was there the first night we adopted him and realized he needed bedding, food, and dishes as well as being there when we needed professional puppy obedience classes. While most might say that big box commercialized stores cannot compare positively to the smaller non-chain shops, I have to disagree. My experience with this particular PetSmart was more than amazing. The pet trainer Ashley was very kind and informative throughout the training classes. My puppy was very timid and non-accepting to strangers but within 5 minutes of meeting Ashley, he was taught how to sit as well as allowing her to pet him. Halfway through our 6 week program, my girlfriend and I had work schedule changes and were unable to complete the classes but Ashley was more than accommodating to that matter, allowing us to switch to a different time schedule even though they were a couple class sessions behind allowing us to have refresher courses. When a local boutique pet store where we purchased our puppy food from stopped carrying the brand of dry food we used and inadvertently recommended us a new brand that our puppy was allergic to, PetSmart gave us the solution to the problem without us needing to waste the other one. Overall, the staff here is nice, the store is clean and the free nail trims and pet toys we received from the classes almost knocks out the price we paid for the training class. read more

I've been here twice with my 10 month old Yorkie, Gus. From the get go the grooming staff was rude. The lady with the super long nails (don't know her name) basically scolded me for "not bathing or brushing" my dog because his fur was matted. First, of course I do. I give him a bath once a week and brushed him out. His fur is so course (which after they cut him the realized) he will just mat up if his fur brushed against anything. The lady really scared me when she said "don't be surprised if you see open sores on his skin because of the matting" and was just all around rude. We told them to cut his hair really short, so it won't mat anymore. I picked up a bald yorkie that day (he looked cute, as always. And no open sores, his skin wasn't even irritated) Not to mention, before they said he was "matted" His trim was $30, they charge extra for matting apparently. My bill was $75 for them to shave my yorkie. The second time I took him there my bill was still outrageous ($50) for them to do absolutely nothing. His hair was the same length as when I took him in, which I asked and paid for a cut. AND a couple weeks later I've found the biggest scab on his neck/face. It's really a big scab and over a month later, we're still washing it and trying to get it gone, but overall it's a huge scab. Like a chunk of his face was nicked. Thank got my boy didn't get a raging infection like another women who's left a yelp review for this petsmart, but they also did not tell me about nicking him. Also, they take way to long to do nothing, about 4-5 hours later you can pick them up. But both times I never got a call and just walked in because I was nervous. The staff is sketchy and I will never take my dog back there. read more
