Zoe at the grooming salon was amazing! She groomed my Bernedoodle, and even though my baby can be very anxious, Zoe made him feel comfortable and safe the entire time. That alone means everything to me. She's the only groomer I trust with both of my dogs now. I highly recommend Zoe! please ask for her. She truly takes such great care of your fur babies. read more

It seems that the bad reviews here are for issues with grooming. I did not use their grooming services but have shopped at the store, which was just fine. It was spacious and clearly organized. Everything was well-stocked (not always the case at every store lately with COVID) and easy to find. They have cats that you can adopt at this location was well as a wide array of pet products for cats, dogs, fish, reptiles, etc. There were plenty of staff working at the counter or walking around the store. I give zero stars. No where did it say you can't give your dog his anxiety meds (THAT HE TAKES ALL THE TIME!!!!!) McKenna didn't even ask when she was about to take my dog back. I WILLINGLY let her know that my dog is a beagle and gets rambunctious around other dogs. So I gave him his meds to help. They could take one look at my happy little beagle and tell he was perfectly fine! Especially just for a BATH AND BRUSH! CRAZY! But because I told her he took his meds they wouldn't bathe him. Just don't go to Petsmart anymore especially for grooming services. My dog has been going to this location for about 3 years now and had never had an issue. Today of all days they decide to refuse service because my dog won't "go" to the groomer. What kind of absolute BS is this?! My dog doesn't go to random ass people because he is TRAINED and he doesn't like to get groomed! My dog does excellent with whoever has groomed him before, he just doesn't like to go have it done. And to add insult to injury they cancelled me for my last appointment that I was waiting 3 months for. Waited again and now this! It's UNACCEPTABLE!! Not that anyone cares at the stupid store but I will never return here not even to buy dog food. And the customer service sucks too. Do better for your dog and go elsewhere! Called in am and had an appt at 12:30 pm. Spoke with Groomer, KT, she was no nonsense with understanding my boy needed a major groom! Explained situation, dropped off within 90 mins of my request. I did my best to explain with this heat, my boy needed to be cut down, plus he swims and she said that way for his skincare he would dry better. I had been trying to fix him my self. I wish I read the reviews before going here I'm extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from Tamara. First of all I filled out the check in online and she STILL asked me all the questions, so she wasted my time for no reason. My small puppy had an appointment for a bath. I was told he had to walk back or he could not be groomed and they would not pick him up. Why would a small puppy walk go a stranger? Obviously my dog did not want to walk to her. She said because of COVID she can't pick him up. This was really silly to me because my dog has been to two other locations and in neither instance did they refuse to groom him they just automatically picked him up when he didn't want to walk (common sense). I would save your time. Tamara was also very rude and the experience was just not worth my time and effort I will never return to this location again. If you have any pet needs I recommend trying a local small groomer because they are more accommodating and have better customer service than this sad establishment. read more

I've brought my dog to many PetSmarts for a bath. This one is, without question, the worst. My dog gets anxious with grooming. He's a whiner anyway, but anytime I bring him in to the grooming area he really starts to cry and shake. Even so, I dropped him off with no problem. The grooming salon was busy but not unusually so, and the employee who took him in was friendly enough. They didn't tell me how long he would be, but based on previous experience I expected it to take about 2 hours. He had a bath with Top Pup Plus, which adds on teeth brushing, cologne spritz, a bandana, and nail grinding (really, the main reason we added this is for the nail grinding; everything else is nice but not super necessary). They called me about an hour after we dropped him off and said he was ready. It was quicker than usual, but not insanely short. When I picked him up he was still super anxious and nervous. He pulled at the leash, and bolted out of the grooming salon as quickly as his legs could take him. That was weird - he's nervous when I drop him off, but usually he calms down a bit by the time I pick him back up. I got him home and gave him a pet. He didn't smell freshly bathed, and his fur didn't feel as soft as it usually does after a bath. He was shedding like crazy, so I started brushing him and realized he was still wet. Not soaking, obviously, but his hind legs, neck, and chest were damp. My guess was he was bathed, but not very thoroughly washed. His nails were grinded, so that was worth while, but overall I could have done a better job just bathing him at home. To add insult to injury, he didn't even get a bandana. I won't bring him back here. read more

I will never get my dog groomed there again. I was waiting to check my dog in. Apparently "Melissa" didn't see me. The little dog on her tale was squirming and she took her comb and smacked the little guy in the head. Another time this same person was walking out from the back and was yelling to someone that a particular dog was crazy and she wanted to put a muzzle on him to shut him up. When she saw me she acted like it was no big deal. This particular person has a nasty disposition and shouldn't be dealing with defenseless animals or children. I will never subject my dog to a place where there is a possibility if him being in contact with her. Sad thing is....nothing will be done about it. 4/26/2016 I received an e mail from Yelp stating that there were one or more complaints about my review of Petsmart and a particular groomer. I had an 11am bath and brush for my dog today, which the girl refused to do! She claims the dog must "go to her" in order for services to be done. BS!!! I made an appointment online to get my dog groomed at this Petsmart location. I was offered the opportunity to drop my dog off before the time I scheduled to arrive which was nice. When I arrived I wasn't sure what to get when and just asked my groomer to cut my Pomampoo's hair short. When I first handed her off to the one of the young ladies who was part of the grooming team, my dog was very comfortable which rarely happens. I was told when to come pick her up and got a phone call when my dog was ready. When I arrived my dog looked like a dog again instead of a little gremlin. When I was going to pay the cashier let me know about a special that was going on that saved me a couple dollars which I appreciate. I am so thankful for the groomer, Christina D. who did a wonderful job grooming my dog. I will be returning to this groomer for future appointments. read more

Most insanely absurd situation ever with Julie. I have a 3 Lb dog who is very timid. She wanted my dog to walk across the floor to her in order for her to assess "her stress level" my dog has gotten her nails trimmed her previously with zero issues. I get social distancing with COVID but I can drop her at the curb to make her walk across the waiting room and saying repeatedly "no, don't move her, don't hold her, don't push, hold the leash" is ridiculous. Not every dog is going to walk Across and Bella has zero issues with nail trimming. I feel like this would be an issue solely related to this specific employee. read more

I took my puppy, Cookie Brittle, into the Ordnance Road Petsmart today (9/20/20) to get her nails trimmed. She normally gets them trimmed at the Vet, however her next appointment is not for 2 months and her nails are very long, so I decided to give Petsmart a try. The Employee that assisted me in the Grooming area was Breah. She was extremely friendly, patient, and understanding, and although I ended up having to cancel the appointment as my puppy would not go with her willingly, the demeanor that she showed during the 10+ minutes she assisted me shows that she is a very caring person who loves animals and Petsmart should be thankful to have an employee such as her working with there. Hopefully Cookie Brittle will be able to get her nails trimmed with Breah at some point, but even if she can't due to Cookie Brittle being too shy, I will highly recommend Petsmart and Breah to everyone I know. read more

Most of the staff is helpful. I gave a 3 because a cashier overcharged me for an item buy ringing it up 3X's. I came back the next day and the same lady was there. I told her about what happened and asked if it could be corrected she got an attitude and said it wasn't her. I then showed her my receipt with her name on it and she remembered me and basically threw the money at me. It was so weird because we had a great conversation the day before, which is the reason I forgot to look at my receipt before I left the store. My girlfriend and I went in to buy a low intensity shock collar to stop our chocolate lab from consistently barking at absolutely nothing when he is let outside. The shock collars are the ONLY things locked up so of course you have to ask for assistance. The only person to come was maybe 19-20yrs old with dreadlocks. She immediately began telling us how we should train our dog and how we should enroll him in Petsmart classes. She specifically said "I dont want you to waste your money on these collars," um...dont you think Petsmart wants us to buy SOMETHING? ! WORST GROOMING SERVICES EVER!!! I took in my rescue dog to get groomed. Unfortunately, his face and behind were matted, so they told me about the fee and I signed the paper agreeing to the fee. When I went to pick my dog up, he had NO FUR!!!! THEY HAD SHAVED HIM. I just got my dog and left. I called to speak to the manager, and she tells me that she was there when the groomer had to shave my dog because it was really bad. WHAT?!?! I had just taken my dog a bath two days prior and his coat was fine...only his face and behind were matted...and then she tells me that she was also there when I signed the de-matting agreement and the groomer told me he was going to have to be shaved...LIE!!! I told her that they never told me he was going to be shaved, that if they had told me that, I would have bought the trimmer and shaved him myself and not pay the 85 bucks they charged me. She said that in the agreement it states that it would have to be shaved down, I told her...OK, you said SHAVED DOWN...not shaved off. She just kept saying that it was really bad matting...I just answered with, I very disappointed with your location's grooming services and I'm NEVER going back to you guys again. read more
