Worst groomers! We have been loyal to this location for five years but the place has really gone downhill. Many times having our appointments canceled since no one showed up to work. Today we were told we could not put bring our dog to get groomed anymore when we have never had any issues with any groomers. Avoid groomer Sarah B. She accused our dog of biting her and even though our notes on our account is to not groom his face and he's never bit anyone. We will be giving our service instead to our vet. read more

The absolute WORST Petsmart I have ever been to. Went in today to get some hurricane supplies as Gainesville is in the path of a major hurricane. Saw a pet carrier marked down from 49 dollars to 34 dollars. Very clear sign and the smaller carrier next to it was marked down as well. Went to checkout the price came up at 49. I went back and brought the tag to the cashier and she said no this is not the same carrier. The fact that they marked a carrier down and placed a sign on it.....is a SCAM.....very common in retail.....or they are totally incompetent.......either way they should hone their error. But NO at this PetSmart, they have TERRIBLE customer service. I will NEVER return. read more

I am very pleased with this particular grooming salon . I have been taking my poodle here for over a year and have had no complaints . We like Carmine & Alice. We love the fact how quick the service is vs him sitting in a kennel all day long. Worst customer service ever! Took my dog to get groomed, who was on the schedule for over two weeks now, just to be told they can't groom her today. The groomer in there working could only handle 35lb dogs or less.... I asked if they could at least keep her so I could run the errands I had planned on running (since it's a 45 minute drive back home). Apparently they didn't have room for my dog even though she was on the schedule. I will NEVER shop at a petsmart or go to a petsmart groomer again! read more

Pet Smart in Gainesville Fl should be forced to change their name to Pet Rude, Pet Inconsiderate, or Pet Dumb. Today as I tried to drop my dog Doozer off for grooming the "bather" told me my appointment which I made on line had been canceled by the groomer "Kelly" on the day it was made as they had it "in their system" that he was 18 years old, and too old for grooming. I drove long distances to get to Pet Smart with my dog because it is near where I do dialysis. First, I know the appointment was not canceled by phone because my computerized system recorded no cancellation message. Thus this was a lie. Second, Doozer is barely 13 years old, and they must have erred putting it in their system. We know his age as he was adopted in 2006 as a small pup of a rescue dog. He could sit in your palm. We adopted him in October of 2006 when my daughter graduated college. There is no documentation anywhere that could be used to substantiate his age, and certainly no documentation that said he is 18. It's no big deal to make a mistake. We all do. Pet Smart refusing to correct their error and covering themselves with a lie makes it impossible for me to trust them. If something more serious happened to my dog while in their care; I'm sure they would be willing to lie about that. The unwillingness to correct an error, the belligerent clerk, and the Assistant Manager that said nothing at all made for customer service. That is nonexistent. Kelly never came out of the back room to confirm or deny her lie, and no one apologized. It's clear Pet Smart believes dogs over 18 should not be cared for, and they are too big a company to be concerned about one faithful customer that asked them to correct their erroneous err! Please do not subject your pet to the unthinking and inconsiderate liars at Pet Smart / Gainesville Florida! read more

Had previously had some positive experiences in this store, especially with our groomer, Gabby, who was truly excellent. However, after twelve years with PetSmart, she left, telling me that changing company policies took all the fun out of working there. I've since attempted to make grooming appointment and was met with corporate "policies" that did nothing to help me and everything to annoy me. The left hand at this store doesn't know what the right hand is doing, and so they default to "company policy" or other such nonsense that is NOT conducive to good customer service. I guess PetSmart doesn't realize that there's a Pet Supermarket and and a Petco in town, both of whom would probably love to have a new, FIVE-pet customer. I can certainly take my four dogs elsewhere for their grooming and food needs. This store, and maybe PetSmart in general, really needs to up their customer service game. read more

I have been to this location twice and I have no intentions of returning. They don't have a Banfield. It's very small. Their supplies are limited. I needed help with food for my dog. I spoke to a nice girl the 1st time I was there and she was very informative & smart. Was hoping she would be there when I went back but I spoke with a male and he seemed uneducated about their products, and brushing me off as if he had better things to do. Made an appointment to have both of my dogs bathed for the next day. I live 45 minutes away from this store. Got my dogs in and drove the 45 mins and received a call from petsmart when I was in their parking lot. The call was to tell me that they were cancelling my appointment. They were "sorry" for the inconvenience. No offer of discount if I re-book, no offer of prioritizing my appointment for a reschedule. I was just S@it out of luck. I went across the street to their competitor and got my dogs washed. No hassle. Mom and pop store glad to have my business. Dont plan on going back to corporate petsmart again read more

Small clean store with friendly staff. Took our 3 dogs for their nails. The lady was very caring and understanding when dealing with my one blind dog. Didn't carry the new Grain Free Beneful and were out of medium harnesses in the brand I wanted. A great job was done on the dogs' nails. Thanks to the franchise for supporting homeless dogs and getting dogs for disabled veterans. read more

My chi has been going there for the last year or so to gbet his nails done, bath, ears, and glands expressed. He does not come back to me afraid. He is happy to come home of course.
