Do not EVER take your dog here to be groomed!! Absolutely the worst customer service! I should have paid attention to the signs when my poor puppy was too scared to go with the people working there, mind you when we take him to Petco he is excited to see the groomers for his bath (that only take 1 hour max) so this wasn't a first time for him only a first time and absolute last time he ever goes to this PetSmart. Took Great Dane puppy here for a bath and nail trim our appointment was at 5:00pm and was told it would be 2 to 3 hours until he was done. Dropped him off at 4:45pm went to have dinner and came back at 7:00pm expecting him to at least be close to finished but then was told he will not be ready until 9:00pm..... 4 hours for a bath and nail trim?? After getting an attitude from the so called "groomers" I told them to stop and I will be taking my puppy home. He was then brought out wet because 2 hours after leaving him they were barely getting started. The lady brought him up tossed his harness on the counter and walked away with a HORRIBLE attitude. After getting my terrified puppy home he walks in leaving a blood trail from the inexperienced "groomers" they have there trimming his nails too short. This PetSmart salon needs to completely restaff the entire team with qualified groomers that are trained in not only customer service but also how to make it a enjoyable experience for our fur babies not a terrifying experience that scares them from ever going to be groomed anymore. read more

I always go to Petsmart Rancho Cucamonga to have my dog groomed but this time due to schedule conflict I had to book an appointment at Fontana. Groomer SAMANTHA was unbelievably RUDE. No customer service at all! My dog has mild heart murmur but during my dog's initial grooming at the Rancho Cucamonga branch, this was already addressed and we've had zero issues with grooming bookings--- Except with Samantha from Fontana branch. Upon getting there, Samantha told me that since my dog has a murmur, she may have to be rescheduled for grooming because in the first place, I did not request for express service and pay additional $15. She went go blaming me that I should not have been doing online bookings. Wow, That was very new to me! That was never the case in Rancho. No one has ever told me that information and my dog's previous grooming appointments always went flawlessly. They never charged me extra during my dog's MULTIPLE grooming visits in Rancho! Samantha also blamed Rancho PetSmart saying they are doing it the wrong way. Wow, what kind of staff throws her fellow staff under the bus! So immature and so unprofessional. Samantha then proceeded to tell me that from now on I will not be able to book online and should ONLY call for appointments. She was making it seem like I am at fault here and should be punished. The way she talks to customers is unacceptable. I am a paying customer and should be given due respect. I have read the other online reviews and multiple times Samantha has been complained for her rudeness and lack of customer service. PetSmart management should address this issue because they will be losing clients because of employees like Samantha!!! read more

The only reason I give this review 4 stars is for the amazing groomer my pup had, Genna. She was absolutely amazing with Chico and made sure to be friendly with him when meeting him and made the entire visit clear of what was going to happen. Would 10/10 recommend her. Now the reason why I would have given 0 stars otherwise, the customer service is the absolute worst. The girl with red hair who greets people definitely needs to work on her customer service skills and learn to not roll her eyes at customers while trying to ask for questions. The cashiers at the front of the store as well need to learn to work instead of standing around on their phones, talking amongst themselves and ignoring customers. My appointment was at 3:30 p ok so I was early. The girl at the counter said she would let the groomer know I was there. 15 minutes later someone thought to ask my if I've been helped I said no. She found out who the groomer was and told her that I was there she responded with oh do I have to stop now. What does that mean? So they said well your appointment is at 3;30. Terrible service. I came in to buy a leopard gecko and there was so much confusion about the price. Once I spoke to the manager she began to give me the wrong care information about the gecko. The know-it-all manager refused to sell the gecko to me until I could prove I had what they excepted to be the "correct equipment". This review is for dog training I have a very hyper 18 month goldendoodle that required some training. She was the worst behaved in the class. I would try to do simple commands like sit (which she normally does at home any way) and she would NOT do it. She would just stand there looking at all the other dogs. That was just ten basics so imagine everything else! Sam is an awesome trainer. She's very sweet and knowledgeable. In just 6weeks for the beginners class my dog has had a tremendous improvement. She pulls a lot less during walking and jumps less on strangers. Sam has been an awesome help. read more

I signed my one year old puppy up for dog training but mostly for socialization. Maria Ortiz was our trainer. Our first night was chaos! We had bark battles going on with all the dogs, but I think my dog was one of the worst!! I thought OMG there's no way she can get these dogs under control & be heard over all the barking. LOL But she did!! Maria was so patient with all the dogs & the doggy parents. She crammed so much info into our six weeks that on graduation night you would not have recognized any of the dogs from the first night. And everybody passed & graduated!! Thank you, Maria! I placed a very easy order for 1 pack of cat wipes and that was all. I drove to the store and walked in to pick up the order. There was a girl at the register with green hair who asked if my order was ready. I checked and it was still processing, so she responded, "If it isn't ready yet then its not ready yet" and walked away. I was like umm ok I guess I will get my order myself. I currently work at a farther location petsmart and came here on my day off. At my store, If an order isn't ready yet and the customer is in the store, we IMMEDIATELY go and pick the order for them no matter if we are busy or have low staff so there is no excuse for this type of unprofessional rude behavior. What is the point placing an online order for pick up if when I get there I had to pick my own items anyway? On top of that, I had to wait 10 minutes for her to find the ipad to confirm my order. This stores operation is a joke and I will not be returning. As a fellow petsmart employee, please speak with this associate about her customer service skills, which she clearly lacks. read more

I've been bringing my dogs to Petsmart for grooming for about 4 years now. I do so because my yorkies mean everything to me and I trust their groomers. I understand no place is perfect but I've yet to have any problems....But today Noel C., a groomer at this location seemingly went above and beyond for me today. The groomer that was to do one of my dogs had an emergency, and couldn't do it!...but having booked this appointment 6 weeks ago, at the beginning of phase one of the reopening from the Covid quarantine..I was pretty upset nonetheless. BOTH of my dogs needed grooming. Upon arriving at my curbside check in...I did get a little huffy with Noel...he listened to me, apologizing again..but then he tells me about a cancellation! takes the other Yorkie for grooming! Accepts my apology! But the reason for the shout out is because my dogs seemed so calm with him and when I picked them up they'd obviously had a great experience...so Thank You Noel C. ....you're chill demeanor was paramount today. read more

Bought dog food and realized there was a hole in my bag. Went back into the store for an exchange and to return my dogs shoes because they didn't fit & I was helped by Allison. Allison was so rude as if I was the one who punctured the bag, but why would I do that if I had to still get dog food? Allison continues to do my return, and she tells me to put my card chip in. I did and the machine read "chip malfunction" and she said with so much attitude "our machines broken just do it 3 times".... like I was supposed to know your machines broken LOL?? I asked her "i don't understand? You want me to retry my card?" And she replied "UGH Our CC machine doesn't work just do it again!" She HATESSSS her job you can tell not just with how she treated me, but how she treated the guests infront of her. We signed up our puppy for training with Maria and absolutely loved it! Our puppy enjoyed going to class and being around other pups. Maria is very patient and explains concepts well. She's also really nice and takes the time to answer questions and go over the training. We have taken training classes before with our other dog, but even so we felt that each class we learned something new and helpful, and that the commands we knew were explained more thoroughly. Our pup also is much more well-behaved after just the beginner class, we can't wait to see how she progress with more training. I visit a lot of Petsmarts for volunteer work, seems like this shopping center is a hole in a wall because it's always near empty. That, or I'm here too early in the morning. The staff is friendly, with the exception of one. There is an elderly lady with long hair who has a extremely foul mouth and attitude. I've heard her curse about a customer in front of them under her breath. Thing is, she does not realize she's pretty loud. Aside from that, prices are decent. Always check the end caps for clearance items. They have great stuff !!! I bought a adorable carrier for my cat for just $13. The original price was $45. You can also find great food on clearance just because the brand is getting rid of a flavor or new packaging or other reasons. read more

I frequently visit this petsmart store; they cater to my dog. Rianah checked in my dog today for grooming and also handled her wash, brushing of teeth and grinding her nails within less than an hr. My dog (bambi) appoint was at 4PM and I was there by 4:50PM for pickup! Bambi smelled so goooood, oatmeal shampoo :) What does surprise me is that you're handed an invoice and told to check out in the front with your dog, not saying people do this but what prevents people from just walking out? You'd think they ring you up right there and then. Not knocking them for it, but very trustworthy towards their clients (great) but not really in this day and age. They always have sales going on, I love this place -- this is my go-to spot for my pets training pads as well! read more

This review is for PetSmart training at this location. When we first adopted Teddy we wanted to get him socialized and learn the basics. We looked around and decided to sign him up for Samantha's Beginner class. I had never used PetSmart training for any of my previous dogs but I am so glad we signed him up. The trainers are so great and love to work with the dogs. Samantha even brings in her own pup and it shows what a great trainer she is. After completing the beginner class we immediately signed him up for the intermediate and advanced classes.Teddy has become a whole new pup since signing him up and he has met new fur friends.
