0/5 Took my cat to get her nails clipped and to get some nail caps put on, no problem! Well I was so nervous for being 5 minutes late for the appointment, but ended walking around sweating in that hot store for half an hour after I got there before she was taken back. Not 5 minutes later, Andria S. called me asking me if I was still in the store, I was, she says that my cat had scratched her with only one nail clipped, that she could not finish the appointment and that I needed to come back to the grooming desk to pick her up! *sarcastic gasp* Wow!! I am shocked!! My cat scratched a complete stranger that is clipping nails, which she hates. I felt a little sorry about her getting scratched, but that's part of the job when you work so closely with cats. It's your job!! Then, when I get the counter at the grooming center, my cat is in her carrier which is sitting on the counter COMPLETELY ALONE!! Seriously, you left her sitting there for anyone to walk by and just pick up her carrier! Andria S. the highly recommended and beloved groomer couldn't even wait the 2 minutes it took me to get to the grooming center, and speak to me face to face- like a decent human being!! No she had already started working on the next pet on her agenda! DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Dalton Petsmart groomer will not work with you to help care for elderly dogs. Just in a hurry to cancel appointments to fill with slot younger dogs. At first said she would if someone could stay in case dog was in distress. After I worked it out to do so, she just simply called and said for me to take the dog elsewhere. She has a mild heart murmur. She's not on death's door. Ridiculous! read more

Im a first-timer cat mom ..so I went in there to adopt my 3rd cat last month (which btw i was adopting every week coz i love them).. their manager Trish was so rude! She was like "are you done choosing coz there are other customers." I was shocked at her attitude coz we never saw each other before. If it was my real first time adopting i will totally put it off. I just told her "oh i know who im going to pick up already im just waiting for the papers." Im still giving this place 3 stars because of their other staffs :taylor and lydia and michael. So if you want to take your time choosing a cat, choose these people. And if you are lucky, Theresa Persaud (who is their rescuer) can help you with anything if you have zero knowledge with cats. read more

I was there on June 1 around 4 to buy pet supplies and set up an appointment for my small dog. While I was waiting I observed a blond woman cutting the hair of a small dog. I felt like she was being rough and jerking the small dog each time it tried to move. I have watched multiple groomers over the years and this is the first time ever watching a groomer caused me question their handling. Needless to say I will drive to Chattanooga for their grooming services instead of your local store. read more

They treat their reptiles better than any pet store in Dalton. They aren't perfect, but they're definitely better than others. None of the reptiles are on sand which is always a major plus. The leopard gecko that I purchased from them had no health conditions when I purchased it and it remains healthy to this day. The only downsides that I would add is that some of the reptile enclosures are a bit too small for what is in them. It would also be nice if they had a wider variety of feeder insects. Dubia roaches would be nice. read more

If this place had a zero I would give It the 0. if you love you pet especially if its a cat you will not have it groomed there . they booked an appointment for my cat and the stylist was andria, very sorry interest if any interest in how she treats your pet. when I brought my cat in, she was suppose to have called the other pt smart to get his records and failed, I questioned that when I got there, and she copped an attitude with the vet and the other petsmart in Chattanooga, mckayla told me she has a nasty attitude towards being questioned to do her job. plus he was treated pretty shitty there by the staff and they acted as if they didn't want to groom him, I said if you don't want to do it then why book it ? on top of this she takes a lunch break for an hour knowing I would be there at 2 pm. I asked why didn't you call me and re book it ? again, she gets an attitude along with the receptionist there and said, by the way your cat is hissing and growling cant groom him, but she did trim his nails half way decent. why book a cat especially if you plan to take a lunch on his time ? she explained that she took a lunch but she cant be there 24 hrs a day. I said no one told you too, I asked if you had a problem with the time way before this to call me ahead of time. personally just an excuse not to groom a cat. I took my cat out of there because I saw he was being treated poorly. but she takes in another cat to groom it and its growling and hissing as well before she even picks him up. why not treat all cats the same way ? just say you don't want to do your job and leave it alone. To be rude with my vet at the other petsmart tells me she was no good for the cats well being, she told them she didn't want to fool with calling for records, but before I took my cat in, she totally agreed to call and get his records of his rabies shots. along with this other dogs came in and the receptionist ask do I mind if they take the dogs first ? this woman did not know what she was doing, I called the corporate office and filed a complaint in the parking lot as soon as I got my cat back. with that kind of attitude towards my pet, I will not be going there again. they should hire people with a professional and courteous attitude towards pet parents.
