Atlanta dog wizard was the best decision ever for us and our rescue puppy Ollie! We just finished our 5th training with Rob, and it is incredible to see how far Ollie has come in confidence and skill in a very short period of time. Thank you Rob!!

Our trainer, James was amazing! We just finished all our sessions and wow, what a difference! I have two well behaved dogs now that I can take with me anywhere. One on my dogs, a 9 lbs poodle mix was dog aggressive and he used to get very anxious whenever we took him out on trips with us. We just recently took him on a 3 day trip and he was super calm and well behaved. We were even able to leave him in the hotel room alone and he just slept. He also didn't react to any dogs we saw. My other puppy is a 10 month old pit mix and I'm now able to walk her on my street without a leash, she follows all my commands and doesn't leave my side unless I give her the command to break. I 100% recommend their services!

BIlly Ray getting to work!

I can enthusiastically recommend Phil from Atlanta Dog Wizard for anyone who is looking for dog training! We have a rescue puppy, BIlly Ray, who had been starved and was very skittish, fearful, and had food aggression issues. Phil was our trainer, and he was patient, kind, and wonderful to work with. He showed us that we had to be trained, as much as BIlly Ray, and explained the best ways to correct his behavior. BIlly Ray and I both have a problem with ADHD, (which can make training challenging for everyone), so he tailored his approach to both of us, making changes when necessary. Although BIlly Ray still has a lot of growing up to do, he is much more calm, much less skittish, he knows his commands, and is well on his way to being an excellent dog citizen! Thanks so much Phil and Atlanta Dog Wizard!

Happy, confident pup!

I just finished my fifth in home puppy lesson with Rob. Although I am more than happy with the training, I am sad it was our last lesson! I reached out to ADW on the recommendation of some friends shortly after I brought my puppy home. I was overwhelmed with a new puppy, but rob came to the rescue! Working with Rob not only increased my dog's confidence, but mine as well. I cannot recommend this more! Rob was energetic, patient, and a pleasure to be around. Can't wait to go to the group puppy class!

We love the Atlanta dog Wizard!!! Kat is our trainer and helped us train all 3 dogs. It was a lot of work but totally worth it! She helped us every step of the way and she is truly a dog wizard. My previously stubborn (and unreliable) dog has completely changed. And this training program helped our two puppies have structure and good manners. Thank you Kat and team!

Meet Benson and Bailey. They became friends 6 months ago in an open lot between our two homes. Bailey was off leash running happily, potting. His mom Jess said "Bailey come" and there Baily went darting across the space. Mean while my dog [who is as cute as a teddy bear] was biting his leash, and taking off towards a leaf blowing in the street. Bailey would walk right beside Jess on a walk and was completely off leash reliable. Jess worked with the Dog Wizard. The day i called Justin was the second best day of the year. Benson did the two week at home boarding and came home a well behaved boy [and not just for the time Justin was still in sight]. Walks that use to take us 45 minutes [because the fluffy one would sniff everything and get into everything] are now a pleasant 15 minute stroll. Benson enjoys running in the open spaces now in midtown and my crazed fear of him a. becoming a hood ornament or b. taking off and just keep going have all been put to sleep because of the wizard. My only regret is that I didn't call the Dog Wizard sooner. We have been going to the Saturday refresher classes which have been excellent practice [for me...Benson got with the program along time ago] and you meet all shapes and sizes of well behaved dogs while exploring state parks I never knew were here. Thank you thank you thank you for loving and training Benson as though he were your own.

Asher

We highly recommend Atlanta Dog Wizard and Kat!!! Asher has been home a little over a week now and the difference is amazing. He is so much better behaved, which makes our lives much easier and more enjoyable. He now comes when called, sits and goes to 'place' when directed, and walking him is much less stressful and worrisome as we now feel like we have control. Kat was an awesome trainer! She sent videos and pictures throughout the two weeks Asher was with her, letting us know he was happy and doing well, and continues to be responsive to our texts as we continue training. Kat truly loves your dog as if he is her own, which makes it much easier to have your baby go away for the two training weeks.

Practicing "place" in the park. Thanks Atlanta Dog Wizard!

Kat from Atlanta Dog Wizard was such a joy to work with! She is a skilled and patient trainer who helped my husband and me to gain the skills and confidence we needed to use an e-collar with our 2-year old, 60 pound golden doodle Ellie. We sought training because Ellie pulled on her leash, wouldn't listen to commands off leash, she chased children barking and had a problem with counter surfing. Kat came to us weekly for 7 weeks and showed us how to handle Ellie in all kinds of settings and was always responsive to texts if we had questions that came up in between our sessions. We worked together in our home, on our normal walking route through Piedmont Park and along the Chattahoochee. Ellie is now a joy to walk on a (loose) leash, can play off leash fetch with my full trust and has learned that the kitchen counter is not her personal buffet. Ellie is happier now and so are we!! I can't say enough good things about Kat and Atlanta Dog Wizard.

Scott got a great review on Next Door. he offers a 30 minute complimentary conversation by phone. we spoke a bit about Schatzi's problem. he suggested a 3 visit pkg and i couldn't get my credit card out fast enough. from our conversation, i knew i was in good hands. what was really great about Scott was it wasn't a 1 size fits all fix. he offers advice in between scheduled visits, either on the phone or text, if needed. i took advantage of that because i didn't want to be 'off track' on my part of the training. he tweaked the training when something wasn't working. the amount of time he gave me was amazing and he basically completely transformed my dog. feeding time is low stress now. Schatzi still is not 100% there but definitely more than manageable and the aggression and guarding is gone. this guy knows his stuff and Schatzi was putty in his hands. if you're ready to give up, don't, call Scott.

She was 2 years old and was in a home where another dog attacked her multiple times. Her humans unselfishly decided that Olive deserved a better home and put her up for adoption. When I took Olive she suffered from severe fear aggression towards other dogs. Scott got me on the right track with her rehabilitation. His program made a big difference in her behavior right away. Over the past two years I have faithfully practiced the training techniques Scott taught me. You wouldn't believe the difference in Olive now. She is a happy, healthy and thriving little dog. She has progressed to the point where she can enjoy private agility lessons, playing with other dogs in dog parks, going to doggie day care occasionally and long walks with her human. She is still a little leash reactive when she sees another dog but no longer fearful, just excited. She continues to improve and I am confident she will become more dog neutral on lead in time. Working with Scott, one on one, was so helpful for me and Olive. Give him a call.

Amy and Lillian are kind, experienced, and genuinely want you to be a better partner to your dog. I also really appreciate the post-session recaps they'd send, along with links to resources. Highly recommend Behave Atlanta to everyone! (This is the same review I left on Google, in case you see it there as well)

You know those people who ran out and got dogs during COVID because they were working from home and…read morecould spend so much time with them? Yeah, we got two of them. First a puppy, and then when he was 9 months old a second rescue dog who was about 2.5. We had (naïve) dreams of the dogs cuddling for naps and playing quietly together out back as we WFH. The reality was far more frightening. The two dogs fought (and by this, I mean actual angry dog fights, it was scary) if a new toy was introduced, if food was accidentally dropped or if we would pet one but not the other. They barked incessantly at every delivery person, runner/walker, dog and cat on our street. We were at our wits end with 3 young kids and two dogs that were out of control. That's when I reached out to Shavon (goes by "Blue"). After reading other reviews, I decided if he couldn't help us, no one could. He changed it all. He recommended an 8-week at-home training. Plus, he took our 2.5 year old dog for a more intense 10-day training at his house, but brought her back periodically to continue to train the two dogs together. The dogs transformed. Actually, Blue transformed my husband and I as we were the real issue. His experience as a trainer was on full display and through his guidance we learned essential new skills including how to properly walk dogs, give authoritative commands, correct them when they pull, bark or growl and generally take control of our pups. We learned to read their body language and cues to avert aggression before it happens. Blue showed us how to set limits and boundaries so the dogs fit into our life, rather than letting our life revolve around the dogs. We completed all our training and are amazed at the results. We now have two well behaved dogs that listen, obey and quietly co-exist as we WFH. If you want the best results, training with Blue is certainly an investment of your time, patience, ego and money but it is well worth it to have dogs who make life joyful and fun (not stressful and chatoic). We hope to have these pups for the next 12+ years and believe the effort and money we spent on training will serve us well for years to come. Call Blue today, you won't regret it!!!

Then in May of 2021, he relented, and we began the hunt for a dog. We found Maggie in the animal shelter. She and her sister were COVID puppies who had been surrendered. We were told Maggie didn't get along with other dogs, had heart worms, aggressive towards people, and food aggressive, but I loved her at first sight, and I adopted believing I could change her. We worked out the food aggression and got her use to being around our dogs. The heart worm treatment was successful. Maggie and I were meant for each other, but.... Maggie was aggressive towards other people, animals, and sometimes our other dogs. She would go after my son-in-law whenever he came to town, and as much as I love dogs, people always come first. Dog trainers said I needed someone that dealt with fear aggressive dogs. That when I was referred to Lorenzo's Dog Training. Blue became our trainer. It was hard letting Maggie leave home for a month because she is my support for my PTSD and helps calms me down. However, I saw Maggie transform each week. She became even more loving as she became less afraid and trusted us to keep her safe. Blue was working magic with her. As he trained us to work with her, I was able to walk with her an not worry about falling over. Maggie stopped barking at every noise. She is much calmer and follows commands most times (we are still in at home training, but will get there). Blue is an amazing trainer, and I feel blessed that he came into Maggie's and my life. I saved her life, she saved mine, and Blue has saved us both. Thank you Blue!
