Sharon likes to say that she trains the dog owner as much as the dog. This is true. Our dog - an Australian sheep dog / terrier mix - is VERY energetic and finds it difficult to focus on any one thing for long. Sharon was able to train him on specific tasks at the first lesson. I brought my 1 year old German Shepherd to her with a laundry list of behavioral issues, mainly arising out of no opportunities for socialization and never being left alone due to Covid keeping us at home all the time. He's been home for 2 weeks now and his behavior/obedience is simply night and day. I opted for the 3 week overnight training because I knew he would need at least that much hands on training to permanently correct some of his bad habits. Once I decided to do it, I started dreading the day I dropped him off and worried, worried, worried he was going to be depressed and traumatized and think I had abandoned him. There was none of that, zero. Maureen absolutely loves dogs, not surprisingly, and has at least 4 of her own fur kids, so she's completely empathetic and intuitive when it comes to these concerns and she goes above and beyond to accommodate both you and your pup and communicate with you all along the way. The pictures I posted of Bear are all ones she took and sent me while he was staying with her along with updates on what they were doing and his progress. She is also incredibly detail oriented in everything she does, the facility is absolutely pristine, and she lives on site and watches the pups live on cam all the time! The area where the dog's crates are kept and they sleep has been set up like a home to enable her to train for at home issues like grabbing things off the counter or jumping on furniture. A newly remolded barn serves as another training area, along with several outdoor enclosed play areas/runs, the whole property is just really beautiful. There's not much else to say except if you're on the fence, do it! You and your doggo will be so much happier and you'll get so much more out of your relationship! But Pet Smart head groomer apologized and ask me to come back. I did and they did a great job. So today I took him back. I told the girl at the counter that I did not want his beard cut off. Another lady there took over the conversation and was very rude. End result, Seamus did not get a hair cut. Another result is I bought all my pet supplies at Pet Smart but NOT anymore.

Well I was so nervous for being 5 minutes late for the appointment, but ended walking around sweating in that hot store for half an hour after I got there before she was taken back. Not 5 minutes later, Andria S. called me asking me if I was still in the store, I was, she says that my cat had scratched her with only one nail clipped, that she could not finish the appointment and that I needed to come back to the grooming desk to pick her up! *sarcastic gasp* Wow!! I am shocked!! My cat scratched a complete stranger that is clipping nails, which she hates. I felt a little sorry about her getting scratched, but that's part of the job when you work so closely with cats. It's your job!! Then, when I get the counter at the grooming center, my cat is in her carrier which is sitting on the counter COMPLETELY ALONE!! Seriously, you left her sitting there for anyone to walk by and just pick up her carrier! Andria S. the highly recommended and beloved groomer couldn't even wait the 2 minutes it took me to get to the grooming center, and speak to me face to face- like a decent human being!! No she had already started working on the next pet on her agenda! DO NOT RECOMMEND!

We can now take Moose off leash comfortably knowing she will come when called, sit and stay even in busy environments. I feel like we are happier humans and she is a happier dog thanks to Sam's help. I've parented/known many rescues in the past and never seen anything like the fear she exhibited. fully freaked out, I shot a message to Atlanta Dog Wizard with an SOS to help. Kat quickly got in touch and we had about a 30-min call, which provided me with INVALUABLE insight into my urgent situation. That information she gave me--keep in mind, I had paid no money for her advice or training to this point--gave me some practices I could use, right away, to make Raffi feel more comfortable. I still might officially use Atlanta Dog Wizard in the future, if Kat is any indication how the company does things.
