Dropped my two dogs off for bath and grooming. One dog is older and does not like baths--still no groomer has ever complained to us about his conduct--before now. When he was returned to us he was not groomed but shaved. This was startling as he is a Maltipoo who normally sports a long and luxurious coat. He was also obviously traumatized by something which happened during his "grooming" and took several days to return to normal behavior. When my wife complained about our dog's ridiculous cut she was met with a disturbing response. She was told 1) I had authorized the shaving of our dog (untrue); 2) And even if the shaving was not authorized the dog had mats necessitating the removal of his coat (also untrue as my wife often grooms the dog weekly herself and determined prior to the drop off he had a single mat only); 3) And finally, dog attempted to bite the groomer--which somehow justified shaving him. In order to "make us whole" PetSmart offered to remove $25 from our bill--which was the cost of shaving our dog. This was completely unsatisfactory as no apology was offered. We will not return to this business and will suggest to our friends to avoid this substandard operation. read more

Today the old man that is at the register was the worst. He has no customer service and should not be working with people. He is disrespectful, argumentative and rude. The 2 ladies before me were buying animal toys that the old man called road kill and Kong toys and made a snide remark that they were making their pet work for treats. The women were not finding this funny. They did not laugh or say anything and left quickly after paying. When he was checking me out he started to argue with me and I did not want to play his game and stayed silent until he started to argue again. I then told him to stop and just finish but he had to keep arguing and with a long line of people in line. A few people left because this old man would not stop and I asked for a manager who came up and told me that he didn't think the old man was arguing. So now I am being called a liar. This is not the first or second time the old man was disrespectful. When I reminded him I was a customer and should be treated with respect he argued that I need to treat him with respect. He always thinks he is correct and he is not. I have been coming to this store for many years and buy lots of cat food but never have you employed such a rude and disgusting individual. I should not have to schedule my shopping around him working. This petsmart for cat adoptions it the best. There's A LOT of cats to choose from and they're not all the same gray tabby's (no hate, just some people like different cats). The adoption process was so quick and easy if you're a qualified potential owner. You even get a petsmart coupon book for all the cat supplies you need. The same thing goes for dogs you adopt at PetSmart. They're very active at this location for adoptions (check on Sundays). You get to see dogs here that you can potentially adopt. Highly recommend this location as they have cat and dog groomers as well. Pro-Tip: You can walk-in for cat nail trimming services (just call ahead if you're unsure) and it only costs $15. You don't need to do the whole bath and nail trimming package because you rarely will ever need to bathe your cat. read more

I took my little dog for their Christmas pictures and everyone was nice and everything. I had an appointment I wrote my email down and they said I'd get the photos the same day around 7. I waited and nothing so I gave it a couple days and called. The girl I spoke to was rude didn't really care and hung up as I asked a question. I called again yesterday on Wednesday and the man was much nicer asked for information and dog description. He said their photo person would be in at 1:30 they'll take a look at this for me and still nothing. My dog is pretty distinct and I described him in detail. I don't think I'm getting my photo. I wish I brought my own camera but I was too busy trying to get him to look at their camera. Pretty upset because I was excited about my little guys first Santa picture. I booked an appointment for that same day and brought my puppy in for a puppy bath $15!! They included a bath, nail trim, ear cleaning, anal gland expression. I really came for the nail trimming because my pup did not take it well when I tried doing it myself. My groomer was Steven, but I also wanted to shout out Robert. They both told me his nails were too short to cut but they would try grinding them. Robert ended up grinding his nails with ease and I'll definitely be booking ahead of time for a month out for his next trim :) Yall are amazing. As a first-time dog owner, taking training classes with Stephanie was the best choice I made. This gave me so much information that I didn't have already. Stephanie is approachable and friendly, and you can tell she really wants what is best for the dogs at all times. My puppy and I attended beginning, intermediate, advanced, therapy and trick classes all with Stephanie. She is such a natural teacher, that she seamlessly is teaching not only the dog but the handler at the same time. The skills that I have learned from her are invaluable. She doesn't miss a thing. Feedback is timely and positive. If there is a mess up, it is acknowledged and a different approach is presented to avoid the situation going forward. During and after these interactions she is pointing out key successes and ways to modify the exercise if the dog is uninterested or struggling. Respect is shown to all, she truly is setting people and dogs up to succeed. My dog turned 2 years old in July, and he is well behaved, everywhere I take him I get complements at how well he is trained. read more

Was told he was so aggressive that he had to be groomed in the kennel area! Really??? We have been coming to this location nearly every month for over three years - why hasn't anyone told me that he is dog aggressive before today? Oh I know because he's not! Your groomer obviously fears larger dogs. He told me "He did the best he can!" Paid for the FURminator which was obviously not done and you can see it in the pictures, as a matter of fact he didn't even run a brush through his hind quarters. I spent $50 total on the order but didn't receive the dog food. which was supposed to feed my dog that night (order delivered at 8:45pm). the store is great and everyone is super friendly and helpful but the groomers do not know what they are doing. they shave double coated dogs, cut my babies whiskers off, and cut his tummy up. i understand the job is difficult with dogs jot holding still the entire time but it really just felt like they rushed through the job. i also never get the toy that comes with the seasonal package for the last like 3-4x ive been in. for sure will pick a new location next time read more

I'm at a loss for words. I raved about Petsmart grooming just a year ago. Kailey use to do my dog. Jaxon couldn't wait to see her and she listened to my preferences and he always came out perfect. Since she left a year ago it's never been quite the same but I have done ok with Jenny. She gave him a report card which was kind of cute. However she now comes in once a month and only on Sunday which is $5 more as it is a weekend up charge. So 3 months back I tried Jacquiline. When I dropped him off we went over his cut in detail, puppy cut (short body larger cut on head and legs with short ears and legs scissored into a straight paw shape and we confirmed the price would be $58. I asked why it's $6 more she said the prices went up. So, with inflation I agreed no problem and said ok. However, this was not the case when I went to pick him she told me it was $78. I said that is not what you quoted me before I dropped him off. She then said it's $20 for scissoring his legs. I asked for the manager. Lucy the manager came but to my disappointment she argued with me for a good 15 min refusing to lower the price. I said look this is on principle. You already raised it $6 on me and now with the same cut he's been getting for 7 years now you want to make it an additional $20 plus the $6 on top of the $58 after the fact. Finally she agreed to waive the fee. No apology and was very stand offish. With her standing there I then turned to Jacqueline and kindly said "thank you for honoring the original price you gave to me. Going forward can, we work together on a cut that stays within $58 budget as my dog is just 21 pounds?" She agreed. So together we looked at different sheer cut sizes in the sample chart and agreed to do a 1 inch on the legs and shorter on body to make the legs similar to the scissoring effect. It ended on a positive note. On Monday, I called in to make an appt with Jacqueline for today. I was given a 1:30 PM time. I called to confirm the morning of (this morning) and was told my appt was at 1:30. No mention of a different groomer. When I arrived she wasn't even there. I was told she was on her lunch break and that she had decided she just didn't want to do my dog. They then told me my dog would be groomed by a new person named Carlos. I said I wasn't comfortable with that and had made my appt with her. The female at the counter inside the groomers then called Lucy over who said to wait and talk to Jacqueline. I was then told to wait on her. So I waited 12 more min. Jacqueline shows up and at this point it's 1:45. She tells me it's too late for her to do my dog as she gets off at 3. She then lied and said Carlos called me and told me ahead of time he would be doing my dog. Carlos was right there and countered her statement replying "no I never told the customer that. I just confirmed her appt time when she called in". Then she says well I'm not doing your dog as I don't like the way you treated me last time. I said well you sprung a $20 additional fee that wasn't communicated to me in advance which wasn't exactly cool to do to a loyal customer but I thought we worked it out. Out of desperation, I explained I'm working out of town Tmrw and this day is my only day. Both her and Lucy said well you can go somewhere else or call the 800 number if you don't like it but Carlos is the only option here for you. I felt stuck and it's an awful feeling to be in. With Carlos right there working on another dog I said again, "I'm not comfortable with someone so new and unaware of his cut". I almost had to beg Jacqueline to go over his cut in detail again with me and to work with him until she leaves as she said she had no other dogs due to her leaving in an hour. We went over everything agian see above. I left the store feeling upset so I tried calling the district manager Angela. I'm still waiting to here back. When I went to pick up my dog he didn't even look like my dog. One eye had long hair coming from his nose blocking his vision and his legs were "L" shaped not straight down and jagged. His ears were super long and he looked like he had no chin. It was the worst cut he has ever gotten and looked like a child had cut his hair. I'm at loss as I gave this place the best reviews over a year ago. I feel there is no accountability and even the management at this location feels like they can do and say whatever they want to customers with no concern for their reputation. read more

What a great experience! When I called to schedule the person I spoke with was so knowledgeable, thorough and nice. They even accommodated me for a Saturday morning appt the night before. It's nearly impossible to get a grooming appt next day. When I dropped my two dogs off the check in was easy but thorough and all staff were very friendly. I was worried about one of my dogs because she hates kennels so they suggested a suite and said she did great, was calm, just chilled. When I picked them up just WOW they looked amazing! They were calm and in great spirits not scared or trying to get outta there. The price is VERY reasonable very affordable and the quality was top notch. Even just looking at the pics of their work on the wall you can tell these stylist are very skilled! One of my dogs was a rescue and her coat was funky but they made her look cuter than I ever thought she could look tbh (sounds mean but I loved her anyway ha!) Valerie groomed both of them and they look fab! When I was checking out at the register my daughter and I were talking about how cute they looked and another customer asked who groomed them and we said it was Valerie. Their response was "oh yes she's the best" overall a great experience. All staff were super nice and very customer service oriented, and a younger crowd. I've been going to Petsmart for years. This time is it for me! 5 hours my dogs were there today? they overbook and rush through the grooming process. I brought my dogs home and they've been miserable since. Both itching and scratching. I turned my boy over to see what's going on and his tummy is bright red and raw from being cut up with the clippers! They are overbooking and rushing through. I hate to think what my sweet little doggie went through! Now I know why they don't want to go and cry and shake when entering. The groomers are inexperienced ! They said booking your appointment with a specific groomer doesn't ensure they are the ones doing the grooming which by itself is a terrible policy. I also don't recommend this location because of the parking lot/area surrounding the store. It's near a messy intersection and the parking lot is cramped. I think they keep the impulse kitties at the front for a reason. I have to shield my eyes or I'm walking out with all of the cats! It's PetSmart y'all, you know the drill. But this location has some of the best customer service and prices that I've scene in a long time. My kitties don't pee in sand, they get full on deodorizing ceramic rocks to do their business. So far, outside of the internet this is the cheapest spot to buy this specialty litter, even cheaper than Walmart. They also sell the pee pads my cats use as well, yeah... my felines are spoiled. This is a smaller location with no fish or bird supplies, just cat and dog items. They do offer doggie daycare, grooming for your pooch, and every other Saturday they host adoption events for cats and dogs from local shelters. I always leave with at least one toy for my cats, which they play with for 3 minutes and then go to sleep for 18hrs. I want to switch lives. read more

I am leaving this review, because it is a review worth leaving. I brought my dog Rocky in for a last minute grooming appointment with Jaclyn M. He has been shaking his head, so I thought maybe he had matting or an ear infection. I thought the groomers might know more than me, and plus he had a vet appointment scheduled for a week from now, so I figured a grooming appointment couldn't hurt. Every time I touch Rocky, he is so soft and this pleasant burst of clean and sweet smell comes off his body. The precision in the cut around his legs, paws, ear, and even the shaping around his head, are impeccable. I have taken my dog to the groomers at another Petsmart location, but since moving to the coast, I've had to find a closer alternative. I will be coming back for Jaclyn M. again.
