Our dog Hank loves bark collective. They always take such good care of Hank and he is soo happy whenever we pick him up. I know he's been well cared for. We also just had or first training session with AJ and I'm so excited to implement her training methods that don't require and e-collar. The e-collar is optional and can be used on certain situations, but I saw her techniques with him work without the ecollar.. I just happened to be at a business right next-door to the bark collective and was talking to the dogs as I saw two big dogs in a small closed off area a large doodle type dog that was in a cage, and when the dogs started barking at me a young brown haired male came around the corner and shouted at the dogs to shut up. So this did not seem to be a good interaction with the dogs or an area that was big enough for these large dogs to be able to have enough room to move about and of course, why is this doodle in a cage? I've never taken my dogs there. This was just an interaction that I had that I didn't think was acceptable. read more

Happy Holidogs! I am thankful that the Bark Collective is here. After more than 10 years of utilizing one pet sitter, who is no longer pet sitting,, we needed to find a new place for boarding. I found this place and love that they are convenient when visiting the OC or LA and points beyond, since we head in the direction often. I love how they offer dog training and pack walk add on's when boarding a a pet. They will provide an incentive if boarding more than one dog. My baby girl received a few days of training. I appreciated that the owners have an Aussie also. It was fun to receive the training videos as well. I enjoyed being here during the holidays, as there was a lovely holiday tree with dog ornaments and festive touches here and there. Bark Collective has provided immense support and services to my pup. They have everything we look for from training to daycare to grooming. My pup gets so excited to see everyone in the facility. The staff are so welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. They remember every pet by name. We put him in board and train him for 2 weeks and he learned so much from his trainers. One of his main trainers is Casandra and he loves her. His engagement with her is incredible and can't contain his excitement when he sees her. Our rescue mutt participated in the Board and Train program for two weeks while we were out of town. She has been transformed from a highly leash reactive dog who would only walk with me, wouldn't come when called and basically did what she wanted, when she wanted to a lovely, companion who will walk with others and walks by other dogs without having a fit. We're not done with this process. We got trained too and have to keep up the good work done by Casandra and the other trainers. The staff is excellent and the facility is clean and modern. My dog likes bark collective more than he likes his real home. I have been taking my dog Bronx there since he was adopted at 7 months old. He is a regular there and if we didn't move a little further away then he would still definitely be frequent flyer! We have partaken in their board and train programs for our dog Bronx about 3 times. The first time for their 2 weeks minimum requirement, Second time about for 5 days and Third time for about 5 days. My dog had a lot of anxiety and trauma due to him previously being a street dog. His kryptonite is/was garbage trucks and buses. The training is pricey but they were able to help me understand how to deal with my dog who has trauma and how to recenter his focus when he has these episodes. I noticed the most improvement this third time after introducing an e collar method. Pricing i think it's comparable to most legitimate dog trainers. We are able to use his commands with him responding in public spaces. That was one of our biggest goals! At the end of the trainings they usually do a training session with you present to go over everything the taught your scholarly pup. He's never had an accidents with other dogs there and they separate the dogs by high energy and low energy. Which I most day cares should adopt. Amazing training experience with Jillian, the owner of bark collective. My wife and I brought our 6 month old golden retriever, Ziggy, who is a fairly good tempered dog with poor obedience. The office and training space itself is very aesthetic and professional. I appreciated the staff's warmth and hospitality as they welcomed us in and made us feel like family despite it being our first time. Jillian and the trainers at bark collective help dog owners adopt a mindset of becoming the "pack leader" of their dog. This pack leader mindset, based on my understanding from the training, allows ziggy to trust and have confidence in us as his pack leader through consistent stimulation by commands and direction. I initially thought it would be mostly learning how to give commands and make your dog more obedient but I learned quickly that this mindset is key in shaping your dog into one that is obedient, confident, calm and still fun/playful. Ziggy is not a dominant dog, so coming into the training, he already struggled with following commands, pulling on walks, and being scared with loud noises. Throughout the training, Jillian gave clear instructions and exemplified how to practice this pack leader mindset through step by step command teaching. She then gives times for the owners to practice with the dog which instilled confidence into us as the owners. Examples of commands we learned in our first session included these: checking in/"check", leave it/"off", bed/"place", come, and heel. There is a HUGE difference in ziggy from just our first training session. He is following commands in the first two hours being home BECAUSE we have been equipped well by Jillian and her team. The challenge now will be to execute consistency in this role of giving confidence in Ziggy through leading him. Overall, my wife and I feel much more confident as dog owners after our time at Bark collective. Jillian and her team are trustworthy and professional. I would highly recommend them if you are needing professional training or needing help learning how to train your dog. We will certainly be back and continue to learn from them as we train and develop the dog we've always wanted. read more

My 6 month old rescue sibling puppies had their first day here for doggy daycare. When we first entered the facility, we were immediately greeted with smiling faces. The staff here are very friendly and welcoming. Right away they took an interest in meeting my puppies and made them feel comfortable. The puppies are rescued and very nervous around strangers and other dogs. The staff here were very patient with them and slowly introduced them to the other dogs in the play yard. My boy dog is very protective of his space, and with the help of the staff, he is already loosening up and not feeling quite so nervous. His sister is following his lead and doing well. By the end of their visit, they were integrating well with the other dogs and staff in the play yard. The staff even sent me some photos of them, which I will share here. It makes me so happy to drop her off and see how excited she is to be there. We had a wonderful experience at Bark Collective. Our dog was in for his temperament test to be potentially boarded overnight. We were greeted by name when we walked in the door and the staff was friendly and attentive. They showed us most of the facilities and then took our dog back for the test, which he passed, and then kept him for daycare acclimation. It was later found out that our dog was a bit too rough when it came to play time with other dogs, but the staff was on top of it, intervened and we were called in to pick him up. That's right. He failed being a good fit for this facility and I am still giving this 5 stars. They have the best interest for all dogs in their care and I feel supremely confident in their abilities to care for dogs. They are not just leaving your loved ones unattended and letting them sort it out. What is even better is they did not give up on our pup. They recommended that we come back and see if we could possibly integrate him through a training session and possibly pack walks. We will most definitely be back and thank the staff with all of our hearts as they are creating a safe, fun and clean environment for all dogs to leave owners mind's at ease. read more

I can't rave enough about Bark Collective. We have an 8 month old cattle dog, Carl, who is adorable but was a complete handful. Very mouthy, stubborn and overlay playful with other dogs. He loves people and other dogs but very rambunctious. Carl just finished the 2 week board and train and worked with Cassandra who is a fantastic trainer. They worked with him daily to calm down his overactivity, they take him out in nature and expose him to different types of distractions (beach, mall, parks). He came home a different dog - much better behaved, not mouthy, listens, goes on walks well and is just a true joy. We also have grandchildren who he would tend to jump on and he now is able to hold a sit when they come over and then get to say hi and lick. It is wonderful. What I really love about Bark Collective is the obvious caring and affection they all have for the dogs and understanding their individual personalities. They send pictures and updates daily which is so much fun and comforting - they even sent me pictures of him with his buddy/girlfriend :). Favorite place ever, to board my dogs! I came across Bark Collective and called the facility to inquire and quickly became a loyal customer. I ended up speaking to the owner, Jillian and she spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me answering all of my questions. She explained how the facility worked and I was given a tour of the facility within a few days. When I toured the facility they conducted a temperament assessment for my dogs. I actually love that they do this because I want my dogs in an environment that they can feel safe and comfortable in. They require a few very important vaccinations/tests that must be done and up to date in order to board with them. They are very proactive and make sure your dogs are up to date on all the vaccinations/tests. There is an online portal where you can see your reservations, upload/view documents and update info on your dogs food/health requests that is very user friendly. When I drop off my dogs, they usually stay a week at a time and they are so happy to be there. I can leave them and vacation comfortably knowing that they're with a qualified and caring staff when boarding at Bark Collective. There is never a concern with safety, sleeping, feeding or the general mood of my dogs. I know they are so happy and having a great time! When I pick them up I always communicate with them that the dogs need a bath and what time I will be picking up. I love to coordinate this information to them and they always come back so happy, clean and fluffy! This is an additional fee but so reasonable. I know they offer dog walking, daycare and other services that I haven't used yet but I would only use Bark Collective if I was ever interested in those services. They send pictures every day!
