Photo 1: Daisy upon pickup from her first overnight stay at Bone Adventure

I'm posting this review because my husband's review was wrongly removed by Yelp or the owner. It's truly a shame if this review is also removed as all we want to do is prevent others from having to endure the pain and suffering we did due to taking our dog to Bone Adventure. -- Photo 1: Daisy upon pickup from her first overnight stay at Bone Adventure Photo 2: One week later - Daisy's melting cornea, caused by a chemical at Bone Adventure Photo 3: Four weeks later - Daisy after her enucleation (eye removal) There was no bite, scratch, or debris. The doctors suggested this could only have been from a chemical. Staff at BA let Daisy follow them into the laundry room (a RESTRICTED area for dogs) and was on security footage afterwards rubbing her eye. They claim no toxic chemicals were present but just look at the photos. Taking Daisy here was the biggest mistake we ever made and our poor 6 month old puppy lost her eye because of their gross negligence. BEWARE!

Go to place for my pup to take him swimming !!! We drive from sd to take him swimming here. The staff is really helpful,! This time we also got a grooming added for Mochi and he came out all fluffy and soft! I would have appreciated more if the front desk lady was a little more polite. I know it can get overwhelming sometimes! Overall a good place. Have never tried the day care / boarding so will comment on it whenever I use the service !!

Ashamed I've not previously reviewed the Bone. Primarily because the decisions about good loving care for my 23 lb Shiba mix is SO much easier since I found the Bone! He is a handful; delightful with people; somewhat choosy and dominant with intact male dogs regardless of their size. So he's a red bandana guy and they watch him carefully in the population. They truly display affection for him; like Cheers, everybody knows his name. He comes home healthy, with not a bit of stress. By the way, he usually goes to the Backyard. For the first time, he will soon be staying at the Home. He was attacked and sustained significant neck injuries from a bite from an 80 lb pitbull a block from our house on a walk. He still has staples in his neck. With the staff, we decided the Home would be calmer, so he will be there for 3 nights. I'm confident because of all our past experiences. Did I mention he's a happy wanderer? He tries to get out of everywhere; they saved the video of an attempt he once made at the Backyard; it didn't work because their security is tight. I believe due to his stunts he's now a red AND blue bandana guy. I truly believe the Bone is the best boarding facility in the OC, and their prices are justified.

Great staff! Sweet, professional, fast. I brought my puppy into the back yard playground and swim club. Both have been great.

Dave was super patient and informative and gave us great tips for helping with Knox's energy and excitability. Not only that, he did a great job navigating our other dog, Maddox who was along for the ride and sometimes really interested in Dave's treats! Dave helped us with methods on how to help handle Knox's excitement when new people come into the house and to keep him calm when he sees dogs on walks and some things in-between, providing step-by-step instructions for ways we can work with him to get him to those calm places. We really liked his approach and the kindness he showed our dogs. So many places we looked at used electric collars and it was not something we wanted to do, so we were really happy when we found Dave!

He took time to get to know our family and tailor Hank's training to his personality and needs. He is incredibly knowledgeable and we have seen a huge improvement in our dog's behavior. Hanky is happier and now we know how to support him in order to avoid aggression. We also started taking both of our dogs to EveryDog Daycamp and it has been amazing to have a safe place where our dogs can play with other pups without me worrying something might happen to them. I can't recommend Dave and EveryDog enough!

When we got to the place, there was dog hair all over the floor, I chatted with the manager there and they mentioned they wipe the floor 2-3x a day so I must've come during the tail ned. The appointment which typically takes 2-3 hours ended up taking 1.5 hours. They request payment and tip before they bring you your pet. I had some feedback that I shared with the manager and they reassured me that they care deeply about the salon and grooming service so I know they're working on improvements. They were happy to take my dog back to another cleaning, but I didn't have the time. I appreciate the time and effort the manager took to call and chat about my feedback.

My puppy stayed for two weeks at Paw Sweet Paw, and I have to say the marketing does a better job…read morethan how the business actually operates. Prior to the stay, I was told first-timers get 1 week of free boarding. Knowing that we'd be out of the country for 2 weeks, this was perfect, on top of thinking the workers were nice. I also made sure they would be sending photo updates EVERY DAY via email and that there are cameras in the play area for us to check on him. As the front desk lady could tell, I made sure to make their lives easier, so I printed out 2 A4 sheets of things to know about my pup, being as detailed as possible so they wouldn't be confused about what to do since he's still a puppy. Two weeks later, we had to ask our friend to pick him up because they said no one could help release the pup on Easter Day. When they went to pick him up, both the bowl and the bed were missing, and they couldn't find them on the spot. They had to be delivered the day after, and ONLY because I made that phone call to confirm if they could find my puppy's bowl and his ginormous bed. During those two weeks, we clearly informed them that we would be out of the country and that SMS wouldn't work, yet they didn't remember until I emailed them, twice. Over the 15 days, I could barely see my pup on the camera, and I only received THREE email updates and one 10-second video of my puppy, which didn't even show anything meaningful. It felt like it was recorded just for the sake of sending something. One of the updates was also sent only after I emailed them the second time. Being told we'd be getting one week of free pet boarding for first-timers was WHY we chose to stay here. The staff also told us we could call for a refund if we were mischarged. Two weeks later, when we called, the lady told me they were going through reorganization, so workers were moving around, maybe that's why things were missing, and that the free first week only applied to daycare. I would have to speak to the manager about my concern. The manager obviously had the answer in mind and avoided my phone calls a couple of times, on top of my calls getting hung up more than 2-3 times during transfer. When she finally picked up, without hesitation to my question, she said she couldn't refund me for the first free week, but she could offer me a discount, or a free daycare day or some other discounts. Lol. What's the difference between giving me back a 1-week refund as your team promised versus a discount? Why not solve the problem instead of dancing around it? Why am I getting "punished" when your workers told me the wrong thing? Sure, you might lose a couple hundred bucks, but what's more valuable is that you're losing is a customer who will no longer trust your business, and the word-of-mouth effect that could've helped bring in more customers. As a business owner, you should understand better why pet owners trust you with their dogs and what they expect, especially in Orange County. Unfortunately, our first experience was horrendous and extremely disappointing. The level of disorganization and hassle is beyond disappointing. If you're looking for a pet boarding hotel, I strongly suggest finding somewhere else. Like the lady said, they're going through reorganization, so they might be too busy taking care of customers right now anyway.

This last time my flight was cancelled and I was stuck in a city for another day due to unforeseen circumstances and Bradley ( my point of contact ) assured me everything was fine and that Alfredo was going to be taken care of. I can tell this guy really loves his work and is super passionate about it. It makes leaving my guy there such a stress free process. I've tried other local facilities in Long Beach and no one compares, it's absolutely worth the drive to bring him here. This all goes without mentioning the beautifully updated facilities that I know makes the stay comfortable for my pup. Can't recommend this place enough, 15 out of 5 stars.

HOME AWAY FROM HOME DOG BOARDING & Daycare is an awesome place!…read more My dog, BoreAlis (we call her "Alice") has been going there on the days that I need to go to work (3-4 days a week) since September 2024. The staff are remarkable! They always work with me, as my schedule changes week-to-week. Alis gets personal attention (and lots of affection) from everyone there and she has supervised play with her friends throughout the day; I get pictures during the day showing her activities and occasional walks to the park. Every dog there gets personal recognition and mental stimulation from the staff. It really gives me comfort to know that she is expertly taken care of and always having fun! The amenities are beautiful and ALWAYS clean... no odors or messes anywhere, EVER! Alis has memorized the drive there and whines with excitement in the car ride from about 3 blocks away, when we are on our way in the morning. When I pick her up, it's a different story... she NEVER wants to leave to go home with me. When she finally gets in the car, she drops and relaxes; she is always so happy and tired! I truly, highly recommend "Home Away from Home" for your peace of mind, and for safe-play for our beloved furry friends!
