Sandy Tails left Sugar looking cuter then a button! We loved it and can't wait for the next appointment. The groomers here were really sweet and experienced. I can tell that they have a lot of patience and work at the dog's pace. Sugar did well too! The one thing is that the shampoo has a really strong scent, but I personally just prefer a lighter scent.

I decided to try Sandy Tails because I wanted to support a local, woman-owned small business, but I will definitely return because of the outstanding service we received from start to finish. As the owner of a doodle, I've tried multiple grooming options, but I've often been disappointed in some way. I've been referred to groomers who never responded after I left texts, emails, or voicemails, and I've frequently paid over $100 for mediocre grooms or those unfortunate shaving/hack jobs. However, my biggest frustration has been leaving my anxious fur baby for hours because many places handle multiple dogs at once. My recent experience at Sandy Tails was the exception and, by far, the best solution I've found after over two years of research. I want to save every doodle owner time and frustration by highly recommending Becca and her team at Sandy Tails! I was able to book an appointment online, where it was easy to select the service I needed (The Bayside - bath with face, nail, and tail trim). I received texts confirming the appointment, updating me on the process, and reminding me of the appointment. Bernie and I walked over the morning of his appointment, and I immediately felt relieved upon arrival due to the friendly and efficient reception. The standout, however, was how Becca personally greeted us. She had a calm and caring presence that immediately reassured both me and my obviously nervous dog. She let me know she was just finishing up with another dog and would message me when she was 30 minutes away from completing Bernie's groom. To my surprise, I received the text in just 1.5 hours, which was record speed. I almost didn't make it back in time because I wasn't expecting Bernie to be ready so soon! I worried they might have rushed the service, but as soon as I saw Bernie, I knew the opposite was true--they went above and beyond! His face was perfectly groomed, he had an adorable and unique blue bauble instead of a polyester bandana, and he smelled amazing. I'll make sure to book well in advance from now on, as I'm sure this best-kept Eastside Costa Mesa secret won't stay hidden for long--especially after this review. Becca truly deserves a flourishing business so check it out; I promise you won't be disappointed...only amazed and pleasantly surprised!

I can't even behin to thank Sandy Tails enough for their kindess and care. My husband recently passed away, and he did everything for our small furry family. He was the one who always fed and bathed the furbabies. Needless to say it's been super challenging for me and having our 4 furbabies to even get up out of bed and feed them let alone bathe them. Becca was so kind to help me out and she took excellent care of all 4 of them. They were getting pretty stinky and now they are all clean and smell amazing and I'm just thankful for the help. Highly recommend them and will definitely be back for their next grooming!

Best Groomers! Megan grooms my Maltese and does the most perfect shape. She is so sweet to the pets. I've noticed all the groomers do really nice styles on the dogs on their table. The dogs are treated so good here, plus they use high end shampoo and conditioner. That is hard to find. Their prices are very fair considering the top care and top products they use. I've done research and decided on choosing Sandy Tails as my go to groomer for my pup and I'm SO GLAD I did. This is my first puppy and I wanted to make sure I chose the right groomers for him where they take care of their clients. I've booked with Rebecca and have stayed with her since but I would trust any of the other groomers here since everyone is so friendly. I've asked for tips from Rebecca when I first visited and have updated her on my progress desensitizing my puppy throughout. Rebecca is very sweet and I would recommend this place to anyone I know with a pet!!! I come here on a regular basis about every month or so since I have a doodle :) read more

My dog was so happy when i picked him up and he wasn't there all day like other groomers. I really liked his stylist - megan. She recommended something i i overlooked and i appreciate her calling me to get it done. They also put on the cutest bandana. I bring my dog consistently every three weeks, Bath then 3 weeks later Bath and haircut then Bath, etc you get the picture. We highly recommend Sandy Tails Pet Spa! Booking, check in and pick up were easy! Our dog Cooper loves groomer Viviana! She thoroughly explain each available package. Vivian also took her time with our fur baby making sure he was comfortable and happy. His groom was perfect and he smelt so good! We've been bringing our pups to the Jamboree location for quite a while, and up until the beginning…read moreof this year, we had nothing but positive experiences. Last year, we brought them frequently and always felt confident leaving them there. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the facility felt clean, and our dogs always seemed happy to be there. That's why it's so disappointing to see how much things have changed since the ownership transition. Since the change in ownership, we've noticed a significant decline in the overall experience. The staff no longer feels as friendly or approachable. While there are still a few kind employees, several team members come across as cold and unhelpful, making drop-off feel uncomfortable and even a bit intimidating. It no longer feels like the warm, welcoming environment it once was. We've also noticed the facility doesn't seem nearly as clean as it used to be. Our dogs consistently come home smelling strongly of urine after daycare. We occasionally check the live cameras throughout the day and frequently see urine sitting on the playroom floors for extended periods before being cleaned up. If messes in the common play areas are left unattended, it raises concerns about how often the kennels are being cleaned when the dogs are resting. Combined with the odor our dogs come home with, it has made us question the overall cleanliness of the facility. Another noticeable change is how little time our dogs now seem to spend in the play areas. We'll pay for a half-day of daycare, and by the time we pick them up, we're lucky if they've spent more than 30 minutes interacting with other dogs. The majority of their visit appears to be spent kenneled. We choose daycare because we want our dogs to have a safe, clean environment where they can socialize and play. If they're spending most of their visit in a kennel, it's difficult to justify paying for daycare when they could be comfortably resting at home in a cleaner environment for free. Customer service has also become frustrating. Recently, one of our dogs came home without his collar. We didn't realize it until we got home, so we called the facility and were told someone would call us back because they were too busy at the moment. We never received a callback. After calling several more times over the next few days without getting an answer, we ultimately had to drive to the facility ourselves just to ask about and retrieve the collar. Pickup has also become much slower than it used to be, often requiring a long wait before our dogs are brought out. We're genuinely disappointed because we loved this location for a long time and trusted the team with our pets. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, we've experienced a noticeable decline in cleanliness, customer service, and the overall level of care. We hope these concerns are taken seriously because we'd love to see this location return to the high standard that made us loyal customers in the first place.

I took him to the vet and they had put him on antibiotics, they gave him steroids and allergy shots and it's still 16 days after and his paws are not healed and my puppy is getting worse and lots and lots of vet bills. I am writing this review with a heavy heart and a great deal of frustration. My experience with Rebecca at the pet salon has been nothing short of disastrous. Not only did she fail to properly care for my dog, but her negligence has also had a significant impact on my family and job. My pup is now experiencing skin issues and anxiety, which has affected our daily routine and quality time together. My work has suffered as well, as I've had to take time off to deal with the aftermath of Rebecca's incompetence. I am distraught and feel betrayed by the lack of care and professionalism shown by Rebecca. Her actions have caused me emotional distress and financial strain. I implore the pet salon to take responsibility for their employee's actions and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future. I took my precious pup to this salon expecting a pampering experience, but what we got was a nightmare! The place was filthy, with hair and dirt everywhere. The staff seemed overwhelmed and disinterested, like they were just going through the motions. They didn't even bother to ask about my dog's specific needs or preferences. And the "stylist" butchered my dog's haircut, leaving uneven fur and a mangled mess. To top it all off, they tried giving me the wrong dog back?!?!!! Rebecca handed me a PUG when my dog is a GOLDEN DOODLE!!!! My dog was visibly stressed and unhappy the entire time, and I left feeling like I'd put her through a traumatic experience.
