Great with my little dog! She is older & they DO handle her with care! We get her nails done every month without any problems!

On 7/1/2026 afternoon, I was picking up my dog, saw a tiny light color Chihuahua standing on the working table about 4 ft high being unattended(because the owner, she left the site briefly for grabbing my dog in the kennel), fell hard to the floor after being dangled by neck for 3,4 seconds. Now I'm worried about my dog might had the same experience like that in the past. Because at one point, I remember that my dog all of the sudden started shaking badly as we arrived the salon for the service. They always take at least 4 hours even my request was only a shampoo. My dog holds pee entire time and guzzling water after he came back to me with his harness and leash covered by so much other dogs' hair. It seems like they never clean the place. I later discovered that they occasionally leave the salon for running their own errands in middle of a session. That's why it takes so long. Today, my dog came back bleeding from one of his feet and back of ears. Also, he is limping when he tries to walk! I immediately took my dog to a nearby ER. At the same time, I asked RuffHaus if they know what happened to my dog while he was there so I can explain the doctor better about the injuries. What I got in response from the owners was that he MIGHT scratched my dog's skin-tags while he was brushing. Then the owners, he and his wife discussed and agreed to refuse their services for us from now on because my dog is "too risky". My vet determined those skin-tags were not cancerous. Just like us humans, dogs would get those aging signs as well. I only recommend this place to those who is booking an appointment TODAY for TOMORROW, don't mind the dusty environment, 4 hours long for your dog and you might not get cut how you requested (I wrote down my requests and handed to them everytime but often ignored. ex. "please leave eyelashes uncut" I got my dog back with only one eyelash was left untouched and the other was gone multiple times. ). And of course, not to mention as other reviews read, THE ATTITUDE. read more

As long as you don't have to deal with Kevin, this place is great. I don't know if he's neurologically divergent or just a giant prick who was raised wrong, but everyone else there is friendly and does a good job. Til this day, my dog growls and tail goes down whenever someone who resembles Kevin walks by, which is a shame. Whatever he did to do my dog, gave him PTSD. read more

Ruff Haus Grooming is AMAZING! We brought our dog, Mochi in for her very first grooming, and we could not be happier with the entire experience. From the moment she arrived, the team was gentle, patient, and so loving toward her. First grooming experiences can leave a lasting impression--good or bad--and we are so grateful that Mochi's was nothing but positive, calm, and joyful. Not only did she enjoy her time there, but the grooming work itself was absolutely beautiful. She came out looking adorable, clean, and perfectly styled--far beyond our expectations for a first visit! Thank you, Ruff Haus, for treating our Mochi with such care and for giving her a wonderful introduction to grooming. We're thrilled to say she'll be a regular and very happy client from here on out! read more

We have been bringing our pets here for the past three years. While Kevin has never been the most approachable, we continued coming because we trusted the care our pets received. Yes, we missed one appointment, and we take responsibility for that. It was an honest mistake--we completely forgot. Afterward, we called multiple times to reschedule, but Kevin never answered or returned our calls. When we finally went in person to make an appointment, he told us he had no intention of seeing us again and admitted that was why he wasn't answering the phone. I could understand this response if we had a history of repeatedly missing appointments, but that simply isn't the case. After three years as loyal clients, being dismissed over one missed appointment and ignored instead of being given a professional explanation was disappointing and unprofessional. If you no longer want someone's business, the professional thing to do is answer the phone and explain your decision directly. Ignoring a client is not acceptable. Kevin's attitude toward long-time customers needs improvement. Definitely leaking this read more

Ruff Haus Grooming is THE BEST! The best grooming spot in all of Orange County. Like most dog owners, we used to go to the local groomer down the street and after a few experiences, we'd go looking for another one. Then go look for another one. Then go back to the first one. And alternate between the 4 nearest depending on our schedule and how they were doing and etc. After explaining my frustration to my fellow dog owner friends, we were highly recommended to check out Ruff Haus Grooming and we are so glad we did because we finally found a grooming home for our little fur baby! From the minute our fur baby arrived, the owners were so very nice, warm, and patient. Our baby is not the most "friendly dog" especially to strangers especially when he knows we are at the Vet or at a groomer but Ruff Haus Grooming team was so loving, he eventually let his guard down. The best part? It's like that TV show Cheers! They remember us, remember our baby, and remember how we like his cut, and etc. America was built on hard working small family businesses like this and I'm so very happy for them. He was groomed so well my wife asked the groomer if he could cut my hair LOL! I usually talk to the groomer (Kevin) who is the master groomer who is amazingly gifted at what he does. Very straight to the point peronsality which i love. I don't have time for small chat: I'm usually in a rush to drop off the dog so I can go play golf or pickleball! My wife is the one that schedules everything and takes our baby to grooming and usually talks to the lady who I believe is the wife: she's the very friendly and outgoing person who my wife usually interacts with. As reasonably priced as you'll find in the industry and for dollar for dollar, this is as good as it gets around here. We drive 35 minutes each way and it's worth every dollar and minute! read more

I have been going here for years, tried many different groomers before and no one beats Ruff Haus. They listen to my preferences for my dog's cut, remember every detail, and always take care of her. I'm pretty picky and no one else is able to style my schnauzer like they are able to. (See before and after pics ) This is a family owned business so they deserve the support and all the $$$ tips! Edit: I see a lot of the bad reviews complain about the owner (they're probably keen to the exhausting yappy fake bubbly types) but in my experience he's blunt and straight to the point, no BS, and is in the zone focused on his main priority -- his work! If you take offense to that, it may be a personal issue. read more

Have been here a few times. The owner has always been weird and rude. Today though I had my very gentle but very large golden retriever in getting groomed. He called me while my dog was there and said I needed to come pick my dog up half way groomed or pay him double to finish because my dog was being difficult. My dog is groomed all the time and we have never heard this before. He's big but really sweet. When I asked him to explain he said he is 100 pounds and he's throwing his body around and he just doesn't have the patience today for it. Maybe get a new profession? Don't go here! The owner is nuts! read more

Please read all the one star reviews prior to taking ur pup here. I came to use the self serve pup wash. Upon walking in there was the worst odor, sour dog hair smell. All the self serve equipment, brushes, bath, shower sprayer, towels, combs were covered in old dog hair. Does the health department not regulate dog facilities? Kevin the owner does have a bit of a careless attitude for running a business. He is not really engaged. I worry about all the dogs who come in and leave with an illness or parasite. So disappointing as I really wanted a local self serve dog wash for quick clean ups. I'll keep shampooing in my shower. read more

Stumbled upon this place while on my way to another groomer and thought I'd give it a try. My fur baby is very sensitive about her nails and I'm always weary of taking her to new places but this place did not disappoint. They were very friendly and patient and they trimmed her nails really short which is hard to do for my pitty. I'm glad I found them and will definitely be back! read more

So I've actually going to this location for my dog's grooming for years!! However, after my recent visit I notice my dog isn't able to fold one of her ears for some reason so I called them and talked to whom I believe is the owner, Kevin! First off, let me tell you he's super rude to customers but his actually grooming service is good, well up until this last time I too Lucy for a full groom service! I asked him what was done to the ears and at first he seemed quite defensive as he always is and then he said they just do the routine cleaning and also mentioned that sometimes due to the weight of the hair on the dog's ears, after a haircut the ear could stay up like this due to some tension or something which honestly to me seemed bs and a made up thing as if that was really the case then I would assume both ears should be the same not only one of them!! I've gone to this location multiple times and had never experienced such a thing after Lucy's grooming visit to Ruff Haus, but see for yourself in the attached image!! I've taken her to the vet but it doesn't seem like the vet could figure out what was wrong or possible misunderstood me, so I would have SPEND more money and take her to another vet visit which shouldn't even be needed if the staff or Kevin did their job probably and didn't damage my poor baby's ear!!! I won't be returning to this location after a horrible experience I had and damage done to Lucy's ear on top of the fact that Kevin is extremely rude and impatient with customers and wouldn't even let you ask a question properly without giving attitude and just trying to shut the conversation down. Please see attached for before and after picture, 4th picture is a before picture and the rest of after pictures. read more

If you are looking for a friendly and welcoming place for your dog, avoid Ruff Haus. I ended up not using them because, when I made the appointment, it felt like I was interrupting him and it was very unwelcoming. When I explained this to them, the response was a snarky "Thanks for the lecture." There was no apology or attempt to retain my business. I wonder if they would be impatient with my dog.... read more

Very pleased with Enzo's haircut from Ruff Haus today. Got him from a rescue a month ago so I wasn't sure how he'd do. I wasn't even sure what I wanted done for him. Kevin and I talked about it and I was so happy when I picked up Enzo, Kevin mentioned he did okay (little wiggly) but he's not used to being groomed, hopefully this will get better the more we come back. Which we will be! Great quality, price is right and he wasn't there for too long. Highly recommend Ruff Haus! read more

It was so cute when we checked out they have the dogs a holiday gift! We loved it so much that we tried their daycare service and my dog had a blast. Kevin is an expert groomer. I don't go to anyone but him! Reasonably priced, and I love the dog wash in the back.

I don't do reviews often but I am very disappointed with today's service. When I went to drop off my pet, I specifically asked for them not to trim any of his hair. Kevin the owner just looked at me but didn't respond. When I went to pick up my dog, I noticed they had cut the hair around his butt and had cut hair from one side of his tail leaving it uneven. It doesn't end there, they also cut the hair on his belly and trimmed the hair around his paws super short where you can see his nails. They didn't make any acknowledgement about them cutting his hair after I had SPECIFICALLY ask for them not too. read more

Ruff Haus did an amazing job grooming my dog. She was clean and well-trimmed. The shampoo and conditioner they use must be premium because my puppy didn't itch or scratch afterward. I used to take my shih tzu to another groomer and she would always itch and scratch to the point where I needed to bring my own products for baths. Prices are reasonable, service is friendly, and love the little bow they put on the harness after they are done. read more

But Kevin's gruff demeanor is part of this fine institution! If Kevin were a people person, it would be highly suspicious. Like a public school teacher who really loves communicating with parents. But no, Kevin is a dog person. The kind of guy who would rather hang out with my dog than hang out with me. I'm okay with this. I'm reassured by this. And post-pandemic I'm just so grateful that this family owned business survived that Kevin's "no butts to give for you, sister" attitude is now endearing to me. After all, he never has to ask "who?" We have been coming to this place for the past a few months but my wife and I always dealt with the kind female employees in back. Yesterday, for the first time I had an interaction with the owner. He's one soulless, rude, uncomfortable individual. I'll tell you the story and you'll be the judge! My wife made an appointment for our 2 small dogs ( 8lb & 20lb) for 12pm. I show up at 5:30pm to see if they're ready. He didn't know that I was outside sitting in my car watching him. I noticed at 5:45 he just finished grooming one and is moving to groom the other one although he lied to my wife about why is taking him so long. I waited for him to finish and now it's 6:30. I go in and ask him what's the reason for early appointment if you are not going to get to them at their appointment time, he replies "well, I am the only groomer and I have to make rent". Asked him, do the dogs get a potty break for being here this long, he replies " no because of liability". So, he has no problem caging the pets with no break or water for long period of time for his convenience. It seemed at the end he cared about making his rent as opposed to treating these poor animals with more love and care. We would never use this place after this experience!! read more

I did so much research before actually choosing a place to get our dog groomed. Excellent experience taking my two poms here this year! Found this place on Yelp. My dogs have visited 3 or 4 times so far and the groomers have done an amazing job every time. Some reviews mention how the owner seems to lack customer service, but they are just straightforward and focused more on the dogs. As an introverted animal lover, I can empathize. The most important thing to me is that my dogs are treated right and my request for their grooming is followed -- both of which has been the case in my experience here. This goes for any grooming place... If you'd like your dog's haircut a certain way or if there's any behavioral call outs that may be helpful, just be specific when telling the staff. I've shown reference photos, told them the length and shape I wanted for what areas of their fur, mentioned how one my dogs can get anxious, etc. If you really love a groomer's work, make sure to take photos and ask them what they did so you can reference for next time. Kevin has been honest about what is achievable (which I appreciated so I don't get disappointed), since one of my dogs' fur isn't as full as a typical pom. I've been happy with the way they turn out each time. Parking is easy. Full grooming can take a while, but my dogs have a lot of fur and there's two of them. So not sure what others' experiences are on timeframe. Price is really great for the area. I'm able to bring my dogs' own shampoo and conditioner. I also appreciate that they ask if doggy cologne is okay before spraying, since Waffles is allergic to most. Thanks Ruff Haus :) read more

Kevin did an excellent job cutting our Salsa Boy after we've had a few horrific experiences elsewhere locally. He listened to our requests and told us what was realistic given the state of our dogs hair at drop off. Salsa looked great and Kevin managed to give him a great cut without fully shaving him. I have been taking our mini Aussie to Kevin for over 5 years now and we love everyone at Ruff Haus.

Ruff Haus is the best! My dogs do not prefer getting groomed and act dramatic/unruly but Mr. Kevin is so patient with them and does a great job! We have been asked to not come back from other groomers because of behavior issues but Mr. Kevin is truly a professional and can work with them. Now we never go to anyone else.
