I have two cats and I've been here a hand full of times as I prefer it rather than going to the big box stores though I will say it is on the pricier end but I'd rather shop local. They've got everything you need (food, supplies, toys, ect) for all different kinds of animals - snakes, birds, cats, dogs, hamsters, rats, ect. They even have a pet store snake whose name is escaping me but he was a little cutie and I've noticed on several occasions, they do adoption events. The staff is very, very friendly and knowledgeable too! I always forget to ask and or look at name tags but everyone I interacted with was great! It's in a parking lot that shared with Trader Joe's so sometimes parking can be a bit tricky depending on when you go but if your pet needs any supplies, come here! read more

Dr Shepherd and his staff are amazing!!! I'm so happy we took Brody there for his ear ache. Huntington Beach Veterinary Hospital was A HUGE JOKE AND A RIP OFF! They wanted over 1400.00 for Brody's ear and Dr Shepherd made him feel so much better! It was a fight to get the medicine in Brody's ear but they did not give up! I take Brody back in two weeks and I am really looking forward to it. We have two other dogs and all of them will be seeing Dr Shepherd. I was a customer at the other vet for 20 years. What a waste and rip off. Brody's bill was 50.00 today! Amazing. Thank God for Dr Shepherd and the Pet Supply! read more

I have been shopping for my pets at Pet Supply on Brookhurst for the past 6-7 years. They are really helpful and friendly in the store and always have what I need. David is my go-to guy when I need to switch foods or if I have ingredients questions. He and Rob are very knowledgeable about the different brands of cat food they offer I always check expiration dates on everything I buy and I have never picked up an expired item or even close to expiring. I also really appreciate the vast selection of different brands catfood and freeze dried organ meat options. I have shopped in other pets stores, but the people at Pet Supply are just really friendly and make customers feel welcomed and appreciated We recently adopted a kitten from Pet Supply. Sundays are adoption days and my daughter brought home a kitten that was marked for destruction the following day. That little guy turned out to be one of the sweetest kittens I have ever known. Pet Supply in Huntington Beach is great! we especially want to thank Rob, the manager for all he does! We have been having him trim our dog's nails for the past few years. He does a great job! He works quickly but takes his time, making them comfortable...and honestly treats them as if they were his own. We recently bought a stroller for our older dog, and had problems with one of the wheels. Not only did he get a replacement wheel for it, but he took the time out of his busy day to put it on our stroller! Rob's customer service is the best of the best! I enjoy coming to this store for my pet supplies. The staff is always so nice and helpful. Not this time, the cashier was nice to start. Rang up my purchases quickly, but after that it was absolutely horrible. I needed to inquire about some food I was on a waiting list for. He was so rude to me. He got annoyed with me because he stated he was the only one upfront and was busy. Take it there was one person waiting to be helped. I let him take care of the other customer, I then tried to get some more information and he started yelling at me again about how he is the only one there. Take it there was another employee sitting behind the front desk not willing to help him or me. I have never experienced anything like this. This guy should NOT be in this line of work. No customer service skills what so ever. He was so incredibly rude. Sadly I will not be returning to this location. read more

My favorite pet spot in town! My doggo has a sensitive stomach, and sadly throws up in the morning at least twice a month (TMI, I know.) Pet Supply came to my rescue when I was looking to get Sheila on a new diet and help with her sensitivity. The lady at the counter, so sorry I didn't catch your name, stepped up to the challenge, and made a number of incredibly helpful suggestions, such as putting pumpkin in ice trays for a fiber filled late night snack. Other than great advice, Pet Supply offers a large selection of food, treats, toys, chewables.. aka everything you might need for your furry/scaley friend. So far a number of her tricks have been successful, but I'm largely just thankful that the Pet Supply team went out of their way to help a pup in need. #Thankyouthursday read more

I didn't even know about this location! I usually go to their other one on Brookhurst. It's always tough to find my Steve's frozen nuggets and the other store was out, so they referred me to this location. I don't know who I spoke with, but he was wonderful, knowledgeable, and even gave me a discount. I might just have to start going here instead!!! Rob is so kind, hospitable, & knowledgeable. He always makes London; my French Bulldog puppy feel right at home -- from day one. She has been visiting Rob since she was only three months old and always felt like a little celebrity when she walked in. The staff is so kind and friendly to her--it is lovely. They also have the best products for your pets at very competitive prices. London loves the Primal Pronto brand, and they are the only ones in the area who seem always to have it in stock. Not the first time I shop there, I really like this store and every time I go I get a great customer service experience. They also always have everything I need, from food, to dog boots, harnesses, toys,, everything. Today I went in to get a muzzle for my dog. With COVID we can't go in when my dog needs care and some places, vets or grooming, want the dog muzzled. Safety first, so I don't mind. But I figured I should train at home to make the experience better for my dog when and if needed. My dog is a young rescue, but was abused in the past, so every new experience is re-writing his behavior and the people in this store are the experience I want for him. Rob helped me today. Very patiently, he helped me size and adjust the right muzzle for my dog. He was very comfortable around my 70 lbs. dog, he was very kind to both of us. My dog got lots of treats too from everyone working in the store. I really appreciate how nice they always are, and of course, how well supplied is their store. PS: They also host a vet on certain dates for low cost vaccines and check ups. read more

This is also Cat Country... The prices aren't too amazing here, but they aren't so great at the other pet supply stores either. Two two stars though, that's because of the weirdo lady that was trying to adopt out the cats. To be fair, the kittens and cats were in great shape, very healthy, mostly happy, well taken care of felines for sure. But this lady, an older lady - she asks me if my cat (that I may adopt) is going to be an indoor cat, or an outdoor cat. "It's going to be both", I say. "Oh, sorry, we only have indoor cats here*". She says. And then she goes on to tell me how letting your cats outside is immoral and how I should know better and how I'm going to hell and all that... The amusing part is her thinking she can control how people will take care of their cats - what disgusting arrogance! If you need your pups teeth to be cleaned you must come and bring your babies here to see Chad. My pup Bunny was in need of some dental care. His breath was kicking and he had some build up. I have had the vets tell me they would need to put anesthesia in order for them to clean. Which I didn't like the idea. Thankfully as I was speaking to the cashier she mentioned that Chad does it at the Pet Supply locations. I decided to call later and make an appointment. I am glad I did. Bunny has been seeing Chad twice now and I am referring people as well. He's so kind and sweet to Bunny. He will tell you what's wrong or if for any reason he can not do the cleaning due to severe gingivitis. Thank you Chad! read more

It's a testament that good prices and great customer service are important to the customer and the vitality of a business. this location is brightly lit and the aisles are wide and spacious. super clean, too! just like their other locations, they also have pet adoptions on weekends if you're looking to open your home to a 4-legged friend. service is great -- purchased a 15 lb bag of dog food and they insist that they bring it to the car for me, even though i told them that it wasn't even heavy. that trip to the gym once a month really pays off. the cheery people who work there informed me that they have a slightly less selection than their other store on Brookhurst & Ellis, but they seem to have what i'm looking for, so it suits my needs. when you're heading to the beach and need some food or supplies for your scaly or furry friend, keep in mind that there's a new Pet Supply in town! adjacent to a Trader Joe's, how can you miss it? No one said that they were about to close, and we weren't rushed in any way. I confess: I was about to give them only four stars because I previously gave Centinela five, and the workers there really go the extra mile (they once lent us a trap for free when our cat escaped).
