Terrible customer service was trying to buy a leopard gecko but I'll just take myself to Petco....

Took my dog in for a wash and when called for me to pick him up. The young lady told me he kept peeing and to make sure he does drink water or he won't be able to come back. First of all she did a poor job on grinding his nails and they never give him his bandana for the last 6 or 7 visits. Some how the payment didn't go through but I did go in and pay. Because I will not go to hell over a dog wash or be labeled a dog wash thief. When there i did let them know of what went on. Only offered to give me the bandana but never said one thing about doing his nails over. Thinking about finding a new dog groomer after all of this. Pet Smart was my go to but it has changed over the last 6 years since we have been going. read more

I am usually pleased with the grooming department. I was concerned with this last visits that the had white "powder like" residue. I'm not certain if that was pet dander. But all in all decent job. I like that I can pay through the app. The store is always busy and everyone is helpful. The pet training was a joke. He's just as unruly as he was before! The instructor was all over the place. She was leaving. So that could explain that... read more

This is the second time my appointment was rescheduled a few hours before because of a groomer calling out and I have an event with my pup tomorrow. Very frustrating this is my last time booking with them read more

My puppy had an appointment for 10am, and we were told that it would take around 3-4 hours (ending around 2pm). it is now 3pm and my puppy has not even seen the groomer yet. I was supposed to pick her up before heading in to work, and now Im late for work, because I went to get her after being told she should be finished. i get there and she hasn't been cut, and i was told that typically i wasn't allowed to pay before getting my dog back, but i was now late to work, and having to find someone else to pick her up. i was charged the full $81, and now im at work praying they didn't mess up her haircut. update, she was finally ready for pickup at 4:30pm, and instead of doing what we asked (for them to keep her length and clean up her face, paws and privates) they cut her all the way down, and not only is it short, it's uneven, especially in her face. 100% disappointed and dissatisfied. i'd give 0/5 stars if i could. read more

I'm a new dog owner and I decided to come here for all of my puppy's needs: vet, grooming, and shopping. There's some really nice staff here, but every time I pick him up after drop off, he's really scared and almost too excited to see me. He's only five months, but we've been going here the past two months. The store can be hectic with only one register open on a busy Saturday. I was pleased with his first grooming, but was confused with some up charges. The gentleman in the grooming department said that the Puppy Bath and Brush (which includes everything on the website) does not include anything except for the bath, blow dry, and ear cleaning. I didn't make a fuss about it, but I'm not sure that my puppy will return for a grooming, but Banfield is his Vet still. read more

PetSmart - After first grooming from Petsmart - Pet Groomers Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I scheduled a grooming appointment for my dog on Sunday for today 8/16/23 at 1:30pm (appointment confirmation email attached). I leave work and arrive at PetSmart at exactly 1:30pm. Upon arrival all employees are confused and stating that they don't have 1:30pm appointment for today. One employee steps forward and tells me that my appointment was for 10am. I tell her no that's incorrect. She then pulls up the system where it shows a 10am appointment. She goes on to say, it was booked online, we called you and no one changed your appointment but I can rebook you; we can't take you today because we are closing early. First no one called me. Second my appointment was clearly changed by PetSmart without notifying me. Third it was a huge inconvenience to leave work and arrive for my scheduled appointment just for service to be refused. Fourth the employee gave inaccurate information which I was able to confirm once I left PetSmart and reviewed my emails. I allowed the rep to reschedule my appointment, however I'll be canceling that appointment. This is the third time I've had an issue with this location and this was the last straw for me. read more

For the most part, I've always had good experiences with Petsmart and their grooming department with my old dogs (not this store). We recently got a new puppy and took her in for grooming. Angela groomed Gigi, and she was great. I pegboard purchased a puppy guide from Petsmart, in it, there is a coupon for a free pup bath and brush. I intended to use it for Gigi's bath. I also decided to add services like grinding her claws and to have her Trimmed. I was told that since I added the extra services, I couldn't use the coupon for her bath, which I didn't understand. I 100% was prepared to pay for the extra services but could understand them not honoring the coupon for the bath. I'll most likely never take Gigi there for just a bath. I can bathe her between Trims. So basically, I can never use the coupon if I add other services. I don't find that fair and takes away from the puppy guide value. read more

This place is a complete dumpster fire except for Monica. Actually plenty of people working in the grooming salon are great. Some dogs had a poop party out front. Fairly quickly someone on the staff cleaned up the poo. The salon has dogs peeing all over the floor when they get in there. The staff does a good job cleaning it up. There are some great sales if you keep your eyes peeled. read more

PetSmart - Best. Trainer. Ever. - Pet Groomers Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

I had a frustrating experience today in the grooming department. I've been taking my dog to petsmart to be groomed since 2016 and she's always been classified as a dachshund mix because...she is a dachshund/mini poodle mix. She's around 16 lbs so fits well in that category. Upon checking her in the groomer took around 10 minutes to pull up her file and change her breed listing (causing the groom to be more expensive). I politely asked if that was a new policy to which she responded "I don't know but if you look at her she's big and bulky and is not comparable to the size of a standard dachshund. I let the up-charge go and took her collar off so she could be handed over and they could put the blue leash on her. Once I took the collar off the groomer told me I had to put it back on and not remove it until after the blue leash was put on. Then she made me put my dog on the floor so she could be walked back to the kennel. I tried explaining to the groomer that my dog was really nervous and would not walk on her own to which I was told they weren't allowed to carry the dogs. The groomer proceeded to try to pull her back to the kennels before eventually picking her up. Looking back I wish I would have just left with my dog. I'm worried about how they treat the dogs when the owners aren't around based on that experience. I won't be returning to petsmart in the future. I'll leave a picture of my dog down below so you can decide if she should be classified as a medium dog instead of a small which she had been classified for the past 5 years. read more

The associates were not friendly and there was no willingness to assist! I came in to buy a hamster and they did not want to sell it to my daughter because they was ready to close. We was advised we had to have the home for the hamster set up so volunteered to buy everything the pet would need right there in the store and set it up but I guess because they were ready to go they brushed us off! Go anywhere but this store the choices were very limited anyway! read more

Will not be returning there. Have been going there for the past 3 years. But they recently had a management change and my usual groomer left. Tried a new groomer Alyssa and there was an accident. The groomer cut my dog's tongue while trimming his face. When I went in to pick him up he was bleeding. They brought me to the PetSmart Vet at the store who said she couldn't tell if he was bleeding from his tongue or from dental disease. Really! I understand accidents happen but trying to shift the blame pissed me off. Time to find a new groomer. read more

The women bathroom is Horrendous!!! . They had time to put up the floor is wet sign but forgot to put tissue in bathroom stall holders oh I guess this is why tissue is all over the floor and the garbage is over flowing onto the floor during COVID this is a health issue. When there's plenty of workers standing around chatting about at the Banfield Pet counter among each other not even caring!!. Be aware they're out of soap but had put up a little soap in the bottle diluted with water not safe at all . I will not be back at this location. I give this no stars but had to give 1star for this post to go through read more

Super ironic that their window says "we are hiring animal lovers" but they have multiple dead beta fish (some that even have a film growing on them) out for sale. I brought it to the attention of the supervisor and told him how upsetting it was and he tried to brush it off and said "yeah that can happen during shipping". Um. If it happens in shipping why are they put out for sale? And how often are you checking them if they've been dead long enough to start growing some sort of film on themselves? Do better, petsmart. read more

After speaking with some extensively, for days, about my dogs grooming needs, I arrive at the Grooming Salon only to be turned away. After confirming my numerous conversations by phone and email, the salon manager simply states, "Well, I didn't speak with you, and I won't help you today," then she turned me away. Honestly, it was the rudest experience I've ever had; and I wish I could've retaliated appropriately. read more

Be prepared to be super uncomfortable if you're a person of color, came to this store to get things for a new kitten and it felt like I was being profiled the whole time. Don't get me wrong i understand how loss prevention works because I've worked retail myself but the associates at this store don't even try to play it off just surrounded the space I was in while awkwardly picking up stuff and putting it down while staring at me, didn't offer any assistance or ask how I was doing just kept hovering over me, at one point there was two associates at the each end of the aisle. Definitely made me feel uncomfortable and not welcomed the only person that asked how I was doing or if I found everything I needed was the young lady at the register after I took my cart up with over $100 worth of pet stuff. I don't usually write reviews but definitely need some better training at this location. read more

As far as I know this is the only PetSmart in the University area. It's a great place to get my cat food! I wish they had a better (or more broad) cat litter selection. They used to carry Precious Cat, which is extremely great for multiple cats, but now they don't carry it anymore. That is probably more due to the PetSmart chain and not this specific store. In any case, this store is always clean when I go in. Other PetSmarts I've been to haven't always smelled the best but you'd never know pets go in and out all the time! I really appreciate the lady that fosters the cats that are up for adoption. She seems to have such a huge heart! She said that she rotates the cats sometimes from her foster home so they don't have to stay in the cages for too long. I think that's great! As for the other employees, everyone has always been nice and upbeat. read more

Petsmart on Ikea Blvd, Charlotte #25. The service was bad. First they gave my dog to an inexperienced person. All I wanted was a bath, cut nails and trim hair around pads. After dropping him off, Samantha calls me and says she is unable to wash him because he is wining and nervous .She doesn't want to upset him, can I come back to pick him up. She says I can come back doing the week, when it is not so busy. I said okay. After returning home I realized she didn't put his collar back on. I called back and she said she'll put it in a locker. Long story short they never found his collar with the rabies tag on it and it took her and manager a whole week. I will not be going back to this Petsmart!! read more

This particular store always hire kids who act clueless about anything you ask them, the store is always out of stock, my dog went for a bath Saturday 10/24/20 first time here he's over 100lbs the small girl was terrified of my dog and he was still dirty, he came out WET and NOW HAS A RASH from whatever soaped they used, she didn't ask me anything about my dog, skin issue, soap type on top of that , I tried to speak with Greg the real manager to return a store product the girl told me the cant take the return because it's used but that's incompetent if you can return OPENED and USED dog food. It's always something here. I dislike the false advertising of "petsmart" and I cannot wait to take their business out like amazon is doing Walmart. The groomers are falsely certified and are low quality. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE OR SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THESE CLOWNS read more

ONLY FOR AQUARIUM/FISH CUSTOMERS! (I have not taken the chance to shop at other sections of this store). Save yourself some time and go to the Petco at Concord Mills. Not only is the fish selection bare at this petsmart, but the overall quality of the tanks and fish I have received from this store is depressing. I have been turned away from certain fish multiple times because the employees know they are all sick and will surely die right after purchasing them. Employees will also turn you away if they don't believe your fish tank is "good enough" for their fish, regardless of your experience in fish keeping. Take your money and time elsewhere! read more

Significant inconsistencies between the groomers, and I'm tired of paying $60+ to be thrilled sometimes and totally pissed other times with how my Maltese puppy turns out. Do not go there! Please think twice before you go there. I would not recommend it. I spent $ 95 for bath, brushing, and a very ugly hair cut for my dog. Oh my good... It is probably worth $30 if any. They were saying they cannot cut the hair short. It was either shaving it down all the way to the skin or nothing. Unheard of. The hair was uneven... I could have done a better job. The customer service there sucks. Some of them were shouting or yelling to trying to explain non sense to me. Yes, Shouting. Hope this helps. I am not going back there again. Doesn't even deserve one star. Took my dog in here for a $13 bath and they said they can't do anything to him unless I spend $40 on the full service. I get it anyway and come back to my dogs eyes almost shut from irritation and an ugly haircut that I specifically did not ask for. I ask for a refund and they said I cannot come back (Obviously I wouldn't either) but I ended up having to buying eye drops at the end of the day in order for my puppy to be able to see. I was a hurting mom that day and I should have listened when people said not to come here. Straight up horrible! read more

This is a review about the puppy training class taught by Megan. First of all, the value is amazing $120 for a 6-week course. Our puppy LOVES puppy class. Megan is so engaging and does a great job explaining not only how to get your dog to do something, but why you do it that way. Every class has a few objectives that Megan teaches you about and then you go out in to the store and practice whatever skill you're working on that day. I think our puppy will be really sad when he graduates from class tomorrow. He really has learned a lot at each class and it's a great, affordable, fun way to socialize your dog as well as bond with them. I can't say enough great things about Megan and it is clear this is her passion. read more

Piss poor attitudes and way too high prices. 70 for grooming for a toy poodle.... Just give me the clippers. Will never go bk.

Took my 2 dogs for baths, a pitbull and a dachshund. Skeptical at first because usually I take care of them myself and my dachshund is skiddish. Scheduled them with Christopher D. Let me tell you! My dogs came home happy, clean, shiny, soft, brushed very well because there was no shedding when I run my hands down their back. They smell wonderful. They feel wonderful. Ears are clean. Their nails are perfect! They were both done in 2 hours and I expected to leave them for at least 4 hours. I only got the basic bath with them and their bather did a phenomenal job!!!!!! They've had petsmart baths in the past. This was A++ and well beyond expectations. read more
