Grooming is shoddy here! Every time I pick up my dog, there is something not done that was supposed to be done. I'm talking basic nail clipping, ear cleaning, etc. I even got the manager involved once and while he was very nice, it was clear the grooming staff lacks experience. read more

I received excellent customer service on this visit! Several employees went out of their way to help me with a specific issue my dog was experiencing. We have been taking our dogs to petsmart to be groomed for years now. We normally take them to the same groomer every time, but today our regular groomer was not available so we had to book a different girl. I took my dog in this afternoon and a couple hours later I got a call from petsmart saying my dog is at the vet because he was bleeding from the mouth. They then called me back 30 mins later telling me he had to be transported to the emergency vet and undergo surgery to sew his tongue back together because he must have "bit his tongue". Which, granted, my dog is 13 and has about 5 teeth so he couldn't bite his tongue that severely if he wanted to. We learned later when the vet called that he did not bite his tongue because the cut was vertical, and your teeth are horizontal to your tongue; meaning they cut his tongue. The Petsmart grooming manager called me and lied about the incident and continued to tell me i would not be charged for today's grooming and I get a free groom next time. We will not be returning to petsmart and I do not recommend Petsmart grooming to anyone. I would give 0 stars if I could because they do not even deserve 1 star at this point. read more

I needed to find a dog food for my German shepherd puppy that would help her with her sensitive tummy, so I asked for help and the most wonderful woman (I think her name was Margret? but Im not sure) explained to me everything I needed to know!! She really knew her stuff too! I am so extremely thankful because I have been battling my puppy's tummy problems for a while now and even paid a whopping $100 per 22 lb bag (prescription) for a while until I drained my bank account! I'm not sure if the food will work for my specific dog or not yet because it's still early to tell, but even if it doesn't work out she reassured me because she reminded me that if FOR ANY REASON IT DOESN'T WORK FOR MY DOG, I can't take it back and get a full refund! I am very happy with my visit and I genuinely hope this wonderful lady gets a raise! read more

Frankly, I don't see how PetSmart stays in business. Today I needed a 15.5lb bag of Science Diet Feline Adult Sensitive Stomach & Skin cat food. Checked Amazon and their price is $33.74 plus free Prime shipping. Almost bought it, but decided to buy it at this PetSmart store because I was sure the price would be similar and I also needed cat litter. Boy was I surprised! The exact same bag of cat food was $45.99!!! So I walked out of the store with just cat litter and ordered the cat food on Amazon. Saved $12.25 and the food will be delivered for free. No wonder these brick & mortar stores are struggling. read more

I live in Canton and I read all the other reviews...they as far as I am concerned hit the nail on the head. I wish I could say something really good about PetSmart...so they are about the cheapest I have found in the area...so I bought my own clippers and have clipped my own dog as she is not a FASHION PLATE and I do about as good a job as they do. They are borderline groomers at best. I really haven't found them as a group of people very customer friendly...I haven't had the actually rude...but extremely passive like they are JUST THERE TO DO A JOB and you and your dog really don't matter. But because everyone else is a VET OFFICE, they are the CHEAPEST GAME IN TOWN. Too bad. I guess I will continue to get her bathed there. read more

Had a terrible experience with this Petsmart when trying to receive a refund for dog training. I wanted a refund, as our wonderful trainer Amanda had recently moved. They gave me the turnaround, not returning calls, telling me to come back later, talk to this manager, talk to that manager, etc. Then, last I spoke to them they had "lost" our paperwork, even after I had seen the paperwork in their records just a few weeks before. The managers here were extremely rude, as was the only remaining trainer Lorraine, who told us our dog would have to repeat puppy training because she did not want to open up another intermediate class. Rachel, the general manager, seems extremely inexperienced and needs to take a few courses on customer service. She kept a sarcastic grin on her face the entire time I spoke to her, even though she could see how disappointed I was. We will not be going back to this store. Such a shame! read more

I cannot speak for every department of this store because I do not visit it often but the times I have been I am usually in need of fish supplies. I have a few large tanks with very large fish not available from petsmart. In my experiences visiting this petsmart, time and time again I encounter employees who have very little if any knowledge at all about fish or fish related topics. A girl nearly called me stupid for asking about copper which I thought was a pretty common treatment for a few things... Several times have I witness them selling fish that grow rather large to people with tiny fish tanks. It's a well known subject to avoid petsmart unless emergencies happen among those who keep fish a little more seriously than a desktop betta. This store is key example of that and I advise other aquarists who take their hobby and the lives of their pets seriously to avoid this store. The store on 92 isn't that far away and their employees in the fish department are very knowledgable. read more
