Just finished a training coarse for our American Bully "Lily". Cody was the trainer for the group. He did an excellent job. Thanks!! read more

PetSmart - Pet Groomers Near Me - Boise, Idaho

DON'T TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE! Majority of the groomers I've talked to have terrible attitudes. I took my 7 month old morkie in there to get a haircut and had an appt. from 12:30-3:30 (3 DAMN HOURS)! I drop him off and run errands and 15 minutes later get a call saying to come pick him up because she doesn't have time for him now because he won't be still like the other dogs. THIS IS MY PUPPY'S FIRST TIME AT THE GROOMERS AND HE'S TERRIFIED. Also it's been 15 minutes and the appt. is for 3 hours so why is there no time?? Oh because they put your dog in a kennel pretty much the whole time and work on other dogs in your appt. time. I pick him up and he is half shaven, fur falling off him and just looks a mess. Terrible, terrible, terrible. Very unprofessional. Never going back. read more

We recently kenneled our pug here for a two-night stay. The pet hotel is nicely appointed, modern, and clean. When we arrived [a bit late] she was in a play group with similar sized dogs. She had an id-band to ensure that she wasn't mixed-up with other guest dogs. She appeared to be pretty happy and wasn't traumatized like the last place we took her in Boise which was a home-grown operation. She smelled lovely too - I think they gave her a quick spray off or wipe off before returning her to us [and we didn't even pay for a bath]. We did however pay for a claw trim [file] and it was appropriately done - not too short, not too long, and no rough edges. This was our first time having her there overnight but she has gone there before for doggy day care or day camp. We were very pleased and will use this service again. Our cost for two nights, claw/nail filing, and half-day play was about $88 with taxes. It was a tiny bit pricey but you get great service. read more

Terrible service .we had gotten a call to pick our pet and the rep had stated " Not sure what happened with that but it looks like you will have to wait an additional 30 minutes" this was a horrible response to get when we had already we're told in a voicemail that the service had been completed. You people need to get your poop together and hand out correct information rather than just blowing off your customers who pay for a service not only for the animal but also giving out accurate information so we don't have to wait anymore than we have to. read more

The best pet care in town. Every time I come they treat my dog like a princess!

This is the best deal around! Can't find anything better for the price and service! Clean new facility, great staff-HUGH store and personal attention. I know I sound like an ad, but I was so happy to find this place. They are open until 9p! All others close until the next day and they don't charge u extra for late pkup! I was going to board at Boise Kennelsl-Don't do Boise Kennelsl! This is a shoddy setup at best! Was late arrving and he wld'nt let us board (thank goodness), answered the door reluctently and did'nt even suggest Petsmart which wld have saved us keeping our dog in the car for the nt. Amature place.Petsmarts the way to go! read more

My fiancé and I went to buy our bearded dragon a tank and had a couple questions about the price and what came with the tank. The manager was very rude didn't help us with any of questions just really didn't care what we had to say. he ended up arguing with us while we were trying to checkout and we ended up just leaving instead of buying the tank. We will not be bringing our business back to that PetSmart. read more

I have never had an issue with the store until today. They have always been very accommodating when price matching and the employees have always been really friendly and helpful. Earlier today I called to ask and employee if I could come exchange a product that was chewed up by my puppy. He explained to me as long as I can find my receipt on pet perks that they would have no problem exchanging it. Might I mention even with the defect he said they would take it back.. I came in about 20 minutes ago and ended up talking to Danny whom I assume is the manager. He was very rude and explaining to me that all of his employees know that they do not take defective items back or items that have been chewed up. I then continued to tell him well don't tell your employees that they will take an item back if you guys don't. He was very rude and said he would do it this one time but not again in the future. I understand not wanting to take back a defective item but don't get mad at me when one of your employees told me that they would take my item back... The whole reason why I bought this item was because it was a supposedly a chew proof item. I understand Petsmart did not advertise that as a chew proof item but the company that makes the product did so I'm not mad at them for that I'm simply mad at the fact how I was treated as I went into the store today. read more

I was very impressed with the staff and facility at the PetsHotel and Doggy Day Camp in Boise, ID. My little dog who is usually very fearful of being left at a boarding facility, was excited to return after her first visit. She had never reacted this way and I felt so much better when we had to leave town for a family emergency, knowing that she was enjoying herself. read more

Of all the many groomers I have had for my dogs over the years Aleisha is, by far, the best. She listens to my requests, is a very skilled groomer and Mochi always looks terrific. Aleisha is professional and extremely kind. I feel very fortunate to have found her. read more

I've taken my pup to this salon one time before, two years ago. At the time I picked him up, I was told he was a delight and there was no mention of any issues. Since that time, I've taken him to a different groomer and there has never been a problem. Due to scheduling issues with my current groomer, I was hoping to get an appointment at the PetSmart Milwaukee location because I needed someone close who could see him earlier. After being transferred to four different people, I was told that they would not be able to see my dog. He is essentially "persona non grata". When I asked why, no one was able to give me any information because "they didn't work at this store at that time." There are no notes on file, just that we can't come back. If there was a problem at the time of service, why wasn't it mentioned to me then? Why was an anonymous note put into our file? The service I got today was deplorable. I have spent thousands on thousands of dollars at PetSmart - from their training classes, day care, not to mention all the food, treats, leashes, crates, toys, etc I've purchased from them over the years. But no more! I will never spend one more red cent at any PetSmart EVER. Thank your grooming salon. read more

Our son was visiting from Alaska and brought his best buddy with him. We needed to kennel him for a couple of days. Due to negligence of the staff, his dog had his tail caught in the door and it was chopped off. To date, PetSmart has refused to cover costs associated with the dogs care and costs to my son. The costs are over 5 thousand but they will not pay nor explain why they won't. There is a video of the tail dropping but they refuse to release it. Our dog was there as well and when we picked him up he couldn't get out of that place fast enough. read more

Came in today looking to adopt a rabbit. 2 extremely nice women helped me out way above and beyond. Didn't catch their names but 1 had faded blue/teal hair and the other just happened to walk by - both extremely educated on rabbits, having both owned them or currently own them. They both spent about 30 minutes with me, looking at cages, food, treats, houses, bedding etc. They gave me a list of do's and dont's as a 1st time rabbit owner. I can't thank them enough for helping me out so much!! We'll be adopting our rabbit in the morning because of all the help they gave us!! THANK YOU! read more

My dog and I took intermediate training. It was better than I expected. Brittany was the trainer and she was very helpful and easy to understand. The largest dog was over 100 lbs and my dog is 7 lbs. I always felt my dog was safe and he seemed to also feel safe in the class. My dog is doing well with healing, staying with distractions and has better interaction with people and other dogs. Brittany cares about training and ensuring that everyone is getting what they need from class. I just signed up for the advanced class so I can continue learning. My dog enjoys it and always comes home tired from thinking. I also appreciate that all the staff will pet my dog and ask him to do tricks which helps him stay social. read more

I took my dog to this location's groomer yesterday and they were terrific. My little guy is very nervous and has some itching issues that are a combination of anxiety and allergies so we ate constantly fighting an uphill battle. The girl who checked him in took the time to talk with me about what the best options are and was very calming with my dog. When I came back for him, he looked and smelled great, and the groomer helped me get my boy situated since he freaks out when I come back to him. I'm very grateful for how well they treat my little guy at this petsmart and will try to get this groomer again. read more

I got into the training game a bit late with my pup, but Brittany rocked it! My dog has a lot of anxiety and takes a long time to warm up to people. Brittany was very cognizant of this and gave me some great tips to use at home. Classes were a wonderful learning experience for both me and my dog and we can't wait for our next class. Thanks PetSmart training! read more

The Boise petsmart hotel staff are amazing! Both my dogs staid at that location for the first time! My German shepherd had a hard time breaking out of her comfort zone for the first few days but because the staff worked with me to make her happy she finally felt better around the staff! I will definitely board my dogs at this location again! The staff care so much about the pets who board with them that definitely means a lot to me. Because my dogs were happy I will let them stay there again.. Great job Boise petsmart hotel staff!! read more

Came in for a nail trim, told they'd call us in 3 minutes. 20 minutes later and they still hadn't, so we went back in. It was clear they'd forgotten about us and didn't know what to do about it as they'd already started on other pets. The groomer asked if we had a rabies certificate on us, and then told us they couldn't do it since we didn't have it. That would have been great information 20 minutes prior. read more

We regularly have our two dogs groomed at our vet's office but our groomer recently retired and of course our pups needed a groom. We thought we would try Petsmart. We've had issues with big box store groomers in the past so we weren't eager to repeat the process. I scheduled both our dogs with the same groomer. I was told 3 hours for both pups. Understandable if only one groomer was taking care of them. Unfortunately our one pup had an accident most likely from anxiety and had to be bathed again and the grooming took 4 hours. Second time around it was suggested that I book them at the same time with two separate groomers so it wouldn't take as long. I did just that. Our dogs don't get breed specific grooming. They are a quick shave and trim. It's been two hours and I called to see when they might be ready for pick up. The gal who answered was gruff and short with me. She told me it would take FOUR hours. When I asked why it would take so long for a simple groom she got snotty and asked me what I consider a "simple groom" and then went into how they have to take care of walk-ins and the time it takes to grind nails. I asked what she was talking about. She said walk-ins come first. Okay? So why the he'll do I have to make an appointment if you are going to just kennel up my dog to take care of walk-ins? Rediculous! The prices are outlandish and they charge for services I didn't request. We definitely won't be going back. read more

Do not use for your grooming services. Their business practices are deceptive and deceiving and employees are extremely rude. I made an appointment to have our dog groomed. He had a sock placed over one paw because due to a minor infection that is healing. When I checked him in, they told me that he could not have the sock on in the kennel because it would be considered a choking hazard. I was puzzled because I made a reservation and told them they could just call me when they were done and I'd pick him up right away. They told me that they actually take in multiple dogs and store in kennels in different stages in the grooming process. If I wanted to I could simply pay an extra $11 for "an express" haircut where they would do the grooming process and then immediately call when ready for pick up. Huh? I thought that is what I was paying for in making the reservation. This is deceiving because the extra fee or the "express" is not listed on the Petsmart website. I also asked them if I could get a cone and they said that would be a hazard as well. What? However, they said they would take my pooch without, but I explained that it was more dangerous because he would lick his would and get another infection to which they simply shrugged. They didn't seem to care. I asked him where they disclosed this requirement to the customers ahead of time so they would not waste their time coming down and they admitted they don't have such disclosure available to consumers. Throughout the discussion the employees were flippant and were very closed minded in trying to come up with some solutions. And again, nowhere did they disclose they take on more dogs than they can handle and kennel them up at different stages. read more

Good deals on pet products, no complaints there, thus the 3 stars. I am not the biggest fan of their grooming salon though. I do like their girl Emily, if she's still there... But I've had some interesting experiences with the others. My dog had to make an emergency trip to the vet at midnight after being there once, because they had gotten soap in his eye and severely irritated his cornea. Not a huge deal, I know accidents happen, but they didn't mention it when I picked him up. I was given a full refund of his groom and a discount off of my next one, for both of my dogs. One of my dogs is TERRIFIED of going there though. He's the one that's been going since he was a pup. I think he had some bad experiences with someone there in the beginning, but you never can tell. I've just been grooming him myself now. read more

Zero stars if possible. Half the fish were dead and they refused to sell any of their live ones. Fish are crammed and Bree, an employee, stated, each fish needs at least ten gallons to themselves. Petsmart, if that is the case, you are all violating your fish boundaries. But, I'll go head to petco to buy myself a two inch Cory for my tank, since ya'll suck. #BringBackMarcus read more

Great selection of products, reasonably priced. I usually just go here for meal worms and I really wish they kept their meal worms in a mini fridge that customers could access. Every time I go in I have to hunt an employee down, the store is always packed so I have to wait for the employee to finish with another customer. If I can't find an employee, I have to go to the cashier and they call someone over the intercom to help me, usually a 3-5 minute wait. After all this rigmarole, 4 out of 5 times they are out of stock of the 500 count meal worms for $11 and always try to sell me 5 containers of 100 count which is twice as expensive. The employees always tell me their shipment comes in tomorrow. The last 3 times I go in the next day and they still don't have meal worms, so really their employees have no idea when their shipments come in. I started going to a another petstore because they are actually smart and have a mini fridge that customers can access instead of this weird system. read more
