PetSmart is not bad and I've been a regular customer for years. I do prefer the specialty pet stores most because I don't have a normal pack I have a rare parrot. Stafford friendly and prices are so so convenient being right there on Eubanks. I'm at Clark's fan myself

PetSmart dog food selection is extensive it has a wide variety of whatever you want with no GMOs

The HORRIBLE "Golden Retriever" cut they gave. When we took him in, his hair was long....

Took my dog into the 350 Eubank location for a bath and haircut today (first time at Petsmart) after a bad experience with my last (three times as expensive) groomer.

I insist all my friends who have dogs go through this training course…read more I've had all my dogs go through Acoma and can credit what I have learned in my class to saving the lives of my dogs time and again. These people KNOW DOGS and can help with difficult cases. Their main focus for the obedience training is safety first, and always. Trish and the gang always do an outstanding job training, and making sure you understand the process. They totally understand dogs and I would say they are Albuquerque's Dog Whisperers. The methods are tried and true and I have seen totally outstanding results from them time and again. The reason for obedience is to teach the owner how to work with the dog and together the owner and dog can learn to have a happy and safe life together. Trish and her ladies will have you and your dog well on their way to a long, happy life. The snake training for life is a superb idea and I will always go back for more. :) VERY HAPPY CAMPER. For those that gave a review citing 'fear and intimidation' system was used, did you go to the same place I did? I can hardly believe that. You need to learn to be fully integrated with your dog, which at some point will include discipline, not to be confused with fear and intimidation. For those that coddle their dogs, that method will hardly do the trick for ensuring a safe and happy life together. This is a very good training place, bar non, BEST IN THE CITY. That's a fact, Jack! :D

Great trainers. The class schedule is a bit limited. Mostly evenings. They also do agility training.read more

I made sure to set him up for success with all the training I could give him since he was already 2 years old approx. I want to bring awareness to give dogs time to adjust, my dog took about a full year to show his true personality and even then he has improved over the years. I adopted him 3 years ago and he has kept on growing in trusting people more and becoming more confident. Give dogs a chance only if you are willing to give them time, they are 10000% worth the investment of time and effort. Also, donate to your animal shelters when you can! I try to, every year on the day of his adoption :)

For my 100th review, I wanted to highlight a truly special place- Animal Humane New Mexico…read more I adopted my dog from them in 2019, and she has brought endless joy into my life. Their facility is bright, clean, open, and welcoming. Founded in 1965, Animal Humane is New Mexico's oldest animal welfare organization, and it shows in the care and dedication they provide. When I adopted her, the process was simple, efficient, and fairly priced. Lately, I've been thinking about how I can give back to my community, and the first place that came to mind was Animal Humane. I signed up to volunteer through their website, and they responded quickly--I was able to attend an orientation within two weeks. The orientation was incredibly informative, not just about the organization's mission, but also about the many ways volunteers can get involved. Since then, I've been volunteering in their on-site low-income pet food distribution center, and it's been amazing to see their mission in action. If you're looking to adopt a pet or find a meaningful way to give back, this is the place. Thank you, Animal Humane, for bringing so much joy into my life!

Staff are super attentive and nice, know my dogs Luna and Moody, take great care of them, they're always happy to go in, just waltz right in. Also good seeing consistent staff, same faces which was not the case at the previous place we used. It's all indoor, separated by weight which is also one of the best parts of Aries. Currently only open Tuesday through Friday likely due to staffing. Wish they were open more days! They are a little more expensive than the previous place we used, but worth it. Kong meal/snack is extra or included however you wanna look at it. They do have packages to bring the cost down, pay more up front for multiple days. I think comes out to about $27 a day with the package. They do have an extensive weeding out process which is good because it ensures only quality dogs are there, make sure they get along with other dogs, do ok in the kennel for a period of time. They also require vaccinations and tick/flea prevention. Notes I took when considering them v. Others: * Fecal exam giardia, parasites and coccidia within last 6-8 months * Flea and tick treatment, natural essential oils too ok * Intro 15 min then 1 hr later day free, T-F 830-1030 or 130-330 * hours: 7-1115, crate till 1245, back out till 415 then crated until end of day 6 * $1 per meal regardless if bring food or not * All indoor * No vet on call but has set up with vet nearby * No overnight * Grooming $45-55 * Walk in daycare * $30 full day * Buy 9 get 1 free or buy 17 get 3 free non-refundable Hope this helps other neurotic pet parents like me! We love Aries and am glad they exist for our pups! Especially love the staff! Thank you!

TL;DR: I would not trust Camp Bow Wow with the safety of my pets…read more My parents boarded their two small dogs at Camp Bow Wow for the very first time while we attended a family event out of state. When we picked them up that evening, one dog had a large, pus-filled wound on her face that staff described only as "a scratch." Although none of us are veterinarians, it was obvious the wound was more serious than that. The next morning, our family veterinarian confirmed it was a puncture wound that had become infected, drained the pus, and explained that it would have required stitches had it been treated sooner. Instead, the dog was prescribed a week of antibiotics. Two weeks later, the wound is healing but still not fully resolved. We contacted Camp Bow Wow to find out what had happened because no one had informed us of any incident before pickup. After investigating, management told us our dog had been injured as collateral damage during a scuffle between another dog and her companion a couple of hours before checkout. They also claimed they had called my parents to discuss the incident. That is not what happened. The only voicemail my parents received stated that both dogs were doing well and asked them to call about exit baths. They returned the call on the way from the airport, reached voicemail, and received no further attempts to contact them. When we asked why veterinary care wasn't sought--or, at a minimum, why my parents weren't notified so they could decide whether their dog should be seen--we were told the injury "did not appear to be severe enough for medical attention" and had only "occurred a couple of hours prior to checkout." This explanation was difficult to reconcile with our veterinarian's findings that the wound was already infected and that too much time had passed for stitches, despite the vet examining her less than 24 hours after the incident allegedly occurred. When we raised these concerns, management stood by their account and stated that pet owners are responsible for any veterinary expenses resulting from their dog's stay. When I asked the facility manager, Sally, about their policy for notifying owners when a dog is injured, specifically by another dog, I never received a clear answer--only a repetition of their version of events. As someone who owns my own two dogs and frequently uses boarding facilities, I understand that kennel staff are not veterinarians. I don't expect them to diagnose injuries. I do expect them to promptly notify pet owners whenever an animal is injured and allow the owner--not the kennel--to decide whether veterinary care is warranted. I also expect honesty and transparency as to when and how an incident occurred, which I do not believe we received in this instance. In my opinion, Camp Bow Wow failed to meet that basic standard of care. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend boarding your pets there.

My spoiled babies all LOVED their week long stays so they stayed a little less than a week on two separate occasions. I have one dog that is extremely anxious and during the first visit it took her a day to settle in but on the second stay it only took a few hours. Which is amazing. Their website answered all the questions I had so I called and booked some dates. I can confirm that in fact, they are everything I hoped for. Our little trio of babies loved staying and you'll see nothing but smiles and playful faces. They kept me updated on how the pets did while we were away which includes pictures; the pics really put me at ease because I could see how happy they were. The staff is amazing no matter who you speak with or text, they all are amazing people truly. They are animal lovers and it shows. They treat your pets as if they are their own. Kisses, treats if you allow it and I love the drop off form is great. They adhere to whatever the dog's schedule is and they will give prescription medication as well. I especially want to say that I was able to genuinely relax because I KNEW that my babies were being well cared for and loved. Upon picking up our pups, we got report cards and it helps to see how they did.
