Staff was over booked and extremely busy and due to that my puppy got severely injured by a groomer using dull hot clippers. The burn required medical attention receiving pain meds, antibiotics and burn ointment. PetSmart did pay the medical expenses but I would not recommend PetSmart if you care for your furbaby! So a few months back I took my dog to her first grooming over the Mercantile location. Boy let me tell you it was so bad I was considering other options. I mean for what they charge come on you can't help to at least offer some decent customer service! Needless to say I was a little skeptic walking into this location. My girl needed a grooming so I said let's try 2 out of 3. I walked in. Right away I have to admit it was a different vibe. The staff welcomed me in. The groomer Grace man she was so friendly. She was so stellar. She knew exactly what my dog needed and had the best recommendations. I have to admit it was refreshing. I felt much more at ease leaving my dog in her care. So off I went to find something to do while I wait. I arrived later to pick up my dog. After she brought out my dog man my girl had a new shine. She looked so good. I was like wow I'm so so glad. She definitely deserves that luxury package. Is this what it's like parenting and feeling proud of your child? Or am I coo coo for coco puffs? lol Overall this was pleasant experience. Grace took great care of my dog. Gave her an amazing makeover. Between her and the experience at the store, my faith has been restored in PetSmart. We'll be back for the next one! The trick or treat was NOT FROM 10-6pm we got there at 1:30 only to find NO TREATS WERE IN THE BUCKETS FOR THE DOGS when we asked the employee about it he didn't seem to care that the buckets were empty so we just purchased our own treats for our dogs because we felt bad for getting them all dressed up in their costumes for basically nothing.... Went in, brought my dog with me. The "manager" Virginia was following me around saying she was "assisting" me. When I asked her to stop so I could shop in peace, she started yelling at me. When I asked for a manager, she yelled that she was the manager. When I asked another associate for help, they talked down to me too. She tried to accuse me of shoplifting, I told her she's welcome to look in my bag and cart. She got so rude that I had to call corporate and let them know, so they can hopefully have someone running the store that can treat both customers and animals with respect. read more

Went in for an exchange. It was extremely busy. There was a rush of people. Glenda went out of our way even though we had complex issues due to an online order we made. She helped us find the right cat food all while answering calls and helping customers. Thank you Glenda and the other lady at the front who were very nice even when busy. I never leave reviews. Terrible place to go. I called in thinking it would be fast to drop off my dog. I waited in line for 20 minutes because this guy wants to ask customers what their dogs zodiac sign is with customers waiting. When I finally got to the counter they asked for rabies information which is fine, but they never mentioned bringing in her rabies info before this when I was on the phone. They made the mistake and I got turned away. No matter how much I tried to plan ahead and be prepared it wasn't good enough for these incompetent morons behind the desk. read more

That book offers $2-$15 savings on all the doggie must-haves, including beds and crates, shampoo, chow, brushes and toys. You'll immediately save solid cash on your first buy. You'll also get some freebies, like a training class and bathing, a great deal. Dogs are welcome in the store and they often offer weekend dog adoptions in partnership with local rescue organizations, like Watermelon Mounain Ranch. But enough with the dog-centric review, here. PetSmart also sells lil' fur balls, y'know, rats and gerbils and the like. There are fish, and a small selection of cats, typically mature, sweet adults. As mentioned, I like the employees, as well. This afternoon I experienced something from a Petsmart associate that I've never experienced in ANY store before. I went to the NW store off Coors-Bypass to buy two cockatiel cages. I asked for help from an employee, Bob. This man proceeded to completely talk me out of my $125 purchase! He refused to arrange for someone to put them together for me to pick up later; Bob even had the balls to question why I couldn't just use the old cages I already have!! WTF?? Bob simply refused to make this sale possible, so I took my money to the competitor down the street, and they'll have my cages ready for me tomorrow! Well we bought a bearded dragon there in late September and we were buying crickets there until the holidays I have not been able to buy crickets for our lizard it is now almost March and every time I go there they have no crickets but they offer me meal worms and if there staff was educated enough they should know bearded dragons can't digest their exoskeleton.who is the manager of this place and why haven't they realized they should probably double up on there order of crickets luckily I found a local pet store that always has cricket and at a cheaper price WestSide Pets. read more

Literally THE WORST customer service in grooming ever. My dog is a very well behaved German Shepard who follows commands. I've tried taking her there 3 times for a simple nail cut and each time I have problems and they refuse her service saying that she can't sit on a table. I've been to petco and dogtopia and she goes to day care and I've never had a single report of a behavioral issue. Both in which they successfully complete what i ask of them. I went there because it's close to home but clearly it's worth the drive else where. It's unfortunate. They have people working there who have no communication skills what so ever. I'm not one to do reviews but today I really felt discriminated for how I dressed. I usually always wear black and today I wanted to wear a hat. Well went in got fish and after that was really indecisive of which heater I wanted. After 5 minutes I noticed some employees watching me and following me and one even went outside. After reading and picking a heater I was paying for my fish and heater and talking to the lady at the register. She kept looking outside and talking to me . After I went out the lady standing behind a wall just watching me and then she went back inside. I always come to this location in the afternoon but today I came during the day. Really felt uncomfortable and unwanted . Not coming here again . Rather drive a few miles to a different store then feel like that again. read more

DO NOT take your cat here for grooming. They shouldn't even offer cat grooming. The groomer I was assigned was rude and condescending to me, spoke in a judgemental tone, and made me feel bad about my cat's fur which mattes very easily. He's a very long haired Maine Coon mix. They had me leave him there for THREE hours, and when I picked him up he was totally withdrawn and visibly shaking -- I have never seen him act like this before. I have since gone to a groomer who actually specializes in cats (and actually likes cats) and she did the same amount of grooming in less than a half an hour without stressing out my cat at all. He was purring again when we left. Please do yourself and your cat a favor and seek out a small business/groomer who actually specializes in cats. read more
