Treats with the bath - annnnd a look of apprehension lol

Wow!! This store has a little bit of everything for both cats and dogs. (I am not sure about other animals - sorry!) What makes this pet store a step up from the other pet stores? 1) The customer service! I mean...wow! Everyone is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable about all the items. It seems like the workers enjoy their jobs here and are happy. They give you space and time to browse without being overwhelming, but also go above and beyond to show you several different options/merchandise when you do need help. 2) Self washing pet stations! You get 30 minutes of wash time for $15 to wash your own pet. They provide everything! Aprons, Shampoo, conditioner, towels, blow dryer, elevated tub, collar, tub hookups, TREATS for your dog (!!), annnnd a complimentary bandana with a spritz at the end. I have always washed my dogs at home whether outside or in the tub. Not anymore! Initially, I was honestly against using the self washing stations, BUT I got my dog washed, conditioned, and dried within 30 minutes. This is an amazing deal especially for $15. I cannot recommend this enough. Quit washing your dog at home and use this option - it made it very easy. The workers were always available for any questions on how to use any equipment/ items. They also have a program for frequent washes. Do yourself a favor and wash your dog here. 3) Adoption kit - Recently adopted a pet? Bring in your adoption papers to receive an adoption kit filled with food and goodies for your pet! I think it's within the first week of adoption? Or first 14 days? We did it within the first 3 days of having our dog so that's why I don't remember the deadline - sorry! I can't recommend Boofy's enough. I really love coming into this pet store. I also love that's it's spacious and not very cramped. Highly recommend!

Our favorite pet supplies store. This location has 4 self-wash stations for your pups. A great amount of pet food and treats. They also have rescue cats & kittens available for adoption. The staff there is friendly and knowledgeable.

Lucky Paws - cat adopted

For an adoption outlet in a mall, I certainly wasn't expecting to get lucky at Lucky Paws. But…read morethen, they say the dog chooses the owner, not the other way around. We visited on a whim, since Animal Welfare was closed for the holiday weekend. We'd already checked Animal Humane, essentially walking right past about 20 fine pups, and we'd passed through half of the kennels in this tiny adoption outlet when -- wham -- we both stopped. Something about Violet, later renamed Ivy, had us frozen. Golden brown with floppy hound ears, and sweet, gorgeous brown eyes decked out in nature's own black eyeshadow, this year-and-a-half grown puppy saw our hesitation, and she had us dead to rights. That's when we asked Sasha, a volunteer, to let us in. Violet picked us. Financially supported by the City and private donations, Lucky Paws is an incredible place to adopt, particularly because the organization covers all of the initial basics -- and I mean all of them -- that low-income New Mexicans might otherwise neglect: + All cats & dogs are spayed/neutered + All are vaccinated + Free initial veterinarian visit + Free doggie bath + Free dog training course + Total adoption cost: $25. Older animals, and those who've remained at the kennel longer than two months, cost just $5 Our dog also came with shot records and some wonderful informational materials about training, nutrition, welfare and behavior. The volunteer, Sasha, was marvelous; she made it clear that we were adopting her favorite orphan. ("I call her Audrey, sometimes. Those eyes remind me of Audrey Hepburn.") Thus far, Violet -- now Ivy -- has been the best decision our family has made in years.

Jacqueline, who helped us pre-adopt, told us that she had received calls about her. Emma Took her outside so we can get acquainted with her. All the staff is really helpful. This shelter is much cleaner than the city shelters. Our adoption will include a spay and vaccinations. It also includes a microchip.

I lost one of my pups a few months back and my other is lonely. I've been looking for another pup and decided to check out the facility. This new center is really nice, there is a ton of parking as it is kinda out there on its own. It is located about five minutes from El Modelo, just head south on 2nd from Bridge and it is super easy to find. They have a check in system and are trying to maintain social distancing by limiting capacity. You check in and then are free to walk through and meet the dogs and/or cats. If you see one you'd like to spend more time with, you just tell them and you can interact with them further. I found that they had some really great dogs and I could see they had a good amount of cats too. I met a really cute pup named Luna and even brought my pup to meet her but had some concerns, mainly how much larger he is than she was. Anyways, definitely recommend checking them out!
