THIS IS ABOUT THE JACKSONVILLE PETSENSE, NOT NORTH LITTLE ROCK. IT WAS NOT LISTED TO POST THE REVIEW.
BUT IT DOES APPLY TO THE DISTRICT MANAGER & PETSENSE CORPORATE.
NO STARS. I needed 4 cans of kitten food that I could have purchased anywhere but unfortunately went to this store. What should have been a quick purchase turned into a fiasco. At the register, they said my card was declined. I asked what it said, why it was declined, and they didn't know. I paid with a different card. At my car, I checked my bank account. I had plenty of funds and the account was not locked. I looked for my receipt and discovered that I was not given one. I went back to the store for my receipt. The cashier, Gavin could not produce a receipt and called over the store manager, Taylor. After furiously typing on the computer register, I had no receipt after 20 minutes. By way of education, I turned to Gavin to explain that this was all unnecessary and in the future, he needs to be careful to give receipts, it is a legal issue. The store manager looked at me and said that I was rude, Gavin is in training. What? I was not rude until that point. I handed him my bag and demanded a refund in cash. I paid by debit card, which is like cash, and I was NOT waiting 7 to 10 days for a refund. Taylor was stunned and DENIED ME MY REFUND in cash and handed me my purchase. I told them I would review the mess they were harshly and report them to Tractor Supply Corporate. They laughed, knowing that corporate was just as inept as they were.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, Taylor was rude first and begging for rudeness in return. And this is how Gavin is being trained in customer 'care'. So the customer disrespect cycle continues.
I called Petsense customer service, waited another 20 minutes for a supervisor, only to be transferred to Kenna, who said she was a 'lead' but refused to give me her job title. What?? I had to disclose my full name, phone number and e-mail address. But there is an air of secrecy about job titles. If I was given her job title, we could have jumped ahead to determine that she was not the appropriate person to handle my complaint. I had to be transferred to another group. More wasted time. After much scrutiny and irritation, she decided that I needed to talk to Steven (no last name), the district manager. She would not provide a contact number, because he had to call me. I do not answer anonymous calls from unknown names and numbers. I told her that I did not believe he would call. And I was correct in my assumption that he would not, that's why Taylor and Gavin laughed. They knew that my complaint would go nowhere.
I wasted an hour over 4 cans of kitten food.
Will I ever shop here or Tractor Supply again? NEVER! I have 3 pets, each on specialized, expensive Royal Canin food. I am associated with our family farm that has many animals and livestock. I have 6 adult children with lots of pets and farm animals. Tractor Supply, you have lost us all ... FOREVER. Thank God for the free enterprise system. We don"t need PetSense or Tractor Supply.
The rudeness will continue, because no one is willing to correct it. Not only was Taylor abrasive and rude but seemed illiterate in his speech, character and actions. Customers need to be appreciated and respected. Managing a store is so much more than stocking shelves and cleaning fish tanks. I come with many years of customer service experience and retail experience. This organization needs to fail for the good of all. read more
