All the shelving and displays were still in the store giving off a "going out of business" vibe. I asked if they were moving. The employee on duty said they were transitioning to services and away from retail. I haven't signed up for any training there so I cannot rate them for that. Since I went to Pets West to purchase supplies, treats, toys, and chews, I can say it was a huge disappointment. I attended training classes in the past and may again, but I'm skeptical given the recent reviews about boarding and daycare. On the plus side, the two employees were friendly.

Cellie had been hit by a truck and was unable to preform the duties she had been trained for, but she was perfect for what I needed her for. I had seizures and needed a dog that could get close enough to me to alert me to oncoming seizures. Cellie and I lived many happy years together until she developed cancer in her face sadly. She was the smartest, sweetest, most protective dog I have ever had. I had the tumor removed once and at first the vet thought it was not cancerous but after removing it he saw that it was and said that once it came back eventually she would not be able to eat. It has been over 20 years since Cellie passed and I have not had another dog since I still miss her every day.

The lessons are just as much about our puppy learning as it is for us, so we were very happy to work with Ann. She is friendly, easy to understand, organized, practical and very positive. We also loved her sense of humor. Our corgi Georgia was a quick learner with Ann.  She is very knowledgeable about dogs and their developmental stages. She can read the situation and adapt her lessons to go with where you are in your training. She is consistent and knows way more than we ever covered. They said 4 Hearts Ranch was the best place around. I agree. My mare is very happy at 4 Hearts. She has a wonderful stall with shavings, a fan by day, and wonderful turnout in the evening (summer hours). I look forward to the winter hours. All the long term boarders are very happy. There are multiple vets and farriers that attend this facility. The staff are polite and definitely know how to care for horses. There are no flies because of excellent manure control. Most horse owners care for their horses by boarding at a top shelf facility. I count my blessings, that I was able to get into 4 Hearts Ranch. There is usually a waiting list to get in.

We took our almost 6 month old Whoodle Petey to be trained at CK9. The entire place was spotless…read moreand Heidi welcomed him and explained the training process to us. During the first week there Heidi drew a bead on his intelligence and stubborn nature and let us know that he would need a firm but affectionate hand. She did not let him get away with his reluctance to submit even though he was pouty about it. When we picked him up, we were amazed! He followed our commands during our training session and retained much of what he learned. We had to go out of town for a funeral and then a few days later he was neutered, so he had a disruptive week but has gone back to obeying most of his commands. He even stops at doorways though I forget he is supposed to do it. Petey does have a larcenous side and is a stealthy counter surfer. He needs to be watched carefully and we are trying to tame the bandit in him. Otherwise he is delightful and fun to be around We had a house full of company last weekend and Petey did great with everyone, including two boys aged 10 and 12. Everybody fell in love with our sweet, smart, well behaved boy! We are so grateful to Heidi and EJ for giving us our darling, smart and obedient Petey. We give CK9 the highest praise and would recommend them to anyone who wants a well-mannered, well-trained canine companion. Yay!

We have three…read moreBoston Terriers -- Rosie, Charlie and Lola -- and anyone who has Bostons knows they come with BIG personalities! Each of our three is completely different, and Heidi took the time to understand each of them individually. Rosie needed help with her anxiety, while Charlie and Lola had their own personalities and behaviors to work through. Heidi knew exactly how to approach each one and, just as importantly, taught us how to be better, more confident owners. The difference in our three dogs has been incredible. We have more control, better communication, and a much better understanding of what they need from us. Having three dogs with different personalities isn't always easy, and Heidi gave us practical tools that actually work in everyday life. What I love most is how much Heidi genuinely cares. She doesn't just train your dogs and send them home -- she wants the entire family to succeed. We are SO thankful for Heidi and Complete K-9 Training. If you're looking for a trainer, especially if you have multiple dogs or challenging behaviors, I wouldn't hesitate for a second. Heidi is the BEST! Coco had spearation anxiety issues, distructive issues, pulling on a leash, jumping issues (people/furniture) . Phil had his hands full with Coco. Getting her to meet all these boundaries and let her end with a positive outlook was an amazing task.
