There were BABY ROACHES in my dog food and they don't care.
    Stephànie G.

THERE WERE BABY ROACHES IN MY DOGS PET FOOD AND they didn't want to return within 24 hours! Full story: I was considering to own a pup here, GLAD I DIDN'T because they're pushy and extremely nice just to sell you a dog. I see now Management doesn't care after that! I came back here because they sell the Brand Nutrisource that I was all out of for my new puppy, the brand is sold in limited places. I buy it and served it only to notice one of the crumbs was moving and it was a BABY ROACH ! My husband checks the bag and there's a small beetle inside it. That was enough for me, I have a PHOBIA with bugs in my home, especially baby roaches, so I quickly TRIPLE bag it and simply think to put it by the door to return tomorrow. When I get there, I tell them what happened but I add for assurance that "it's ok, I'm sure it's on the manufacturing of the brand than the store." They tell me they can't accept it if it's open. Idk how it can make SENSE for me to find out their inventory has roaches in their food if I didn't open it. They told me that can't happen. But I show them my receipt, I HAD JUST bought it within 24 hours and I open all the bags and show them how full it is. It's new just open. When she was going back to ask the manager, I had to ask her to take my receipt to show them. If anything I'M looking out telling THEM there's roaches in that inventory so they can handle it with precaution with their vendor. To my surprise, THEY DIDN'T CARE!? It blows my mind how a few days back I had a manager trying to convince us on a puppy and the sales associate telling us to "see if we qualify" because their prices are much higher than others with all that they try to sell you but we wanted to pay in cash and didn't find the dog we wanted. But this time when I had a simple issue, the manager didn't even care to come out to talk to me or check the bag. I cannot imagine how disconcerting it would be to have invested so much and turned away over having simple issues with their food. Because of a simple bag of dog food that isnt taking serious I will never recommend dog people to trust these people to uphold quality.

DO NOT trust this place. They treat the animals horribly and any animal older than 3 months is going to have trauma and fear for the rest of his/her life. I know, I got a 7 month old German Shepherd from there that I had to give to a shelter because he refused to listen to any commands because he's spoiled. They never trained him, never took him on walks, or fed him properly. He had liquid fecal matter for days because they fed him nothing but cheap soft treats. He doesn't know how to walk properly and gets tired and scared VERY easily. I had to sit there with him at the park calling him into the car until someone came and called animal rescue because I told them I'm a absolutely done with him. I've had many dogs and I've never seen one this bad. I'm tired of carrying him everywhere like a baby. He's almost mature. Most dogs are ready to breed at 6 months, he's not. I talked to multiple trainers who all agreed he's special needs. It's their fault he's like this. I even called and tried to explain but the LADY (same lady who admitted to giving him only "treats") at the shelter refused to listen or even offer a refund. It took 20 minutes just for her to transfer me to someone else so they could tell me there's no returns. 6k down the drain.

Me and my husband weren't planning on getting a puppy this day. We both got cleanings at the dentist next door and walked in to this Petland. One thing I have to note is that the employees are always willing to help and let you play with any puppy you set your eyes on. A CURSE AND A BLESSING! Because not even 10 minutes in playing with this little black chow chow, did I fall in love. We had to take him home and Yuliana was a great help with that. She wasn't too pushy like most employees at pet stores and she assured us answers with any question we had. One of the sweetest and helped us through the credit approval process along with explaining everything we needed to know about our new little chow chow. Can't thank her enough so I figured a review is a good start! Haha **** Yelp didn't let me attach the photos so I took a picture of the photos I wanted to add in ****

The only good thing to come out of our PetLand experience--even if we came out of pocket thousands of dollars to get him well.

You are better off purchasing from an online ad. Don't believe their guarantee or the marketing that they care for their puppies. They don't care for the puppies and they certainly don't care for their customers. We purchased our puppy in December 2021 and within 10 hours of paying an enormous amount of money (because we wanted a healthy pet, one that was raised with love, and cared for, and brought a guarantee) we were at the vet. The puppy was SO sick, and it was so contagious, I went to the store immediately after and told them to look into the other puppy that shared a space w ours. I also inquired about the over $1,000 vet bill I had to pay and was told to submit it to their insurance and it would be paid. That was 4 months ago. I've gone to the store several times and the manager is never there and has never attempted to call me back. The worst service. The worst prices since their guarantee means nothing, and they don't care about their pets. Will never purchase there again. Side note: after months of treatment and and vet bills uncovered, our puppy is doing great!

I went to Petland in Kendall and I had great service. Elaney was the one that helped us in the purchasing of the dog. She really gave me all the details on the dog. Paul, the manager was also very helpful. He genuinely showed how much he cared for the dog. He even showed me a video of him playing fetch with our dog. It was really a pleasure to deal with this Petland.

Only good thing that came out of our experience is our puppy. Wonderful puppy but not worth the price. Prices are insane.

This location has always been my go to for all things pet related from food and supplies to grooming and adoption. They've also partnered for years with The Cat Network, which I think is amazing. In fact, I actually adopted one of my cat, Coco that's been with us for almost fifteen years right here so many years ago. Even though I've never written a review for this place before, I had to come back on Yelp and Google and write about the great experience I had this past Friday. I called ahead with a question, and James (aka "Jamestown," as his coworkers call him) picked up the phone. He was super friendly, informative, and clearly knew his stuff. When I got to the store, he helped us find exactly what we needed and recommended the best products for our pets and great service from start to finish. At checkout, Valentina helped us complete our purchase and even signed us up for the PetSmart Treats Rewards Program. Both she and James went above and beyond to make the visit easy and pleasant. Honestly, this store has always delivered great customer service, but it's clear their entire team is well-trained, knowledgeable, and truly cares about customers and their pets. That's why, after all these years, I keep coming back. Thanks again to James, Valentina, and the whole PetSmart Kendall crew for always making my visits a pleasure!

At Breeder Luis Gonzalez's location a puppy was found "lethargic and cold to the touch," another dog was underweight with his ribs and spine showing; the facility had over 500 dogs." I am beyond outraged by the inhumane and negligent treatment of these animals at Forever Love Puppies in Pembroke Park. We purchased two puppies: a 3-month-old Chihuahua and a 2-month-old Pomeranian. They came home sick. No family should ever experience the fear and financial burden of bringing home a puppy only to find out it is already ill. The so-called "complimentary" veterinary visit that this store "gifts" buyers to use is completely misleading. Our puppies were never examined by a veterinarian, yet we were assured by a staff assistant that they were "perfect" without any tests or physical examination. Side note on this fraud of a clinic: When I walked out of the examination room, there was a dead dog on the bench next to a lady in the waiting room. Such a level of unprofessionalism or disrespect is unbelievable. The attendant called someone to "come get the body". Didn't offer a room for the lady to grieve and choose the urn made her pay and choose in front of everyone with her dead dog on the bench behind her. Days later, our Chihuahua puppy ended up in the emergency room severely dehydrated with signs of Ataxia, a neurological symptom. The result? Over $1,200 in emergency veterinary bills and weeks of emotional distress, all of which could have been avoided with proper care and honest medical screening. We were told that a simple fecal test would have immediately detected Giardia. That basic test was never performed, even though the paperwork states otherwise. We took our boys to our private veterinarian, and both were diagnosed with Giardia. Even more disturbing is the breeder listed on our paperwork. A quick search reveals serious public concerns tied to this breeder. When we looked up the address ourselves using publicly available satellite imagery, the location appears to be a barn-like structure with no visible evidence of adequate shelter or proper housing facilities. At the time, temperatures were around 32 degrees. The thought of vulnerable puppies being housed and possibly transported in those conditions is horrifying. The fact that this store continues to source from breeders surrounded by red flags demonstrates either a shocking lack of due diligence or a complete disregard for animal welfare and consumer protection. There is also a publicly available news report involving the owner's son, Larry Master, which every potential buyer should watch before considering a purchase. Reports and documentation show that puppies are transported in freezing temperatures, with hundreds crammed into trucks and distributed to pet stores across the country. These are living, breathing animals, not merchandise, not inventory, not commodities. This entire experience was irresponsible, unethical, and deeply disturbing. If you care about animal welfare, please do your research. Seek out truly reputable, transparent breeders or consider adoption. No puppy deserves to suffer for the sake of profit, and no family deserves to bring home heartbreak instead of joy. https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/lawsuits-forever-love-puppies-accused-of-selling-sick-dogs-11711531/
